Thanks, Steven. And thanks to you and NCTC for getting the cam up! Saw Liberty and Belle this morning, and it was wonderful! We kind of thought they were doing the transfer when the cam went down. Wonderful to see them doing the same thing as other eagles we've been watching.. namely, refurbishing the nest. It sure has gotten taller, this year!

Suzanne said...

Thanks, CamsGrammy for the heads up. And welcome, glad you decided to write while you lurk!

Thanks Steven for the news and the new thread.

Thank you CamsGrammy for telling us about it. Come on in and tell us how long you have been lurking.

I have to leave for a dental appt. but Suzanne will be happy if you come in to tell us.

I'll check back when I get back from appt. to see if you came in ok CamsGrammy. ( :

I followed the eagles all last year and it was terrific! I live about 15 miles from the nest and can hardly wait to see the eagles again this year.

Thanks Steve, for the info and the new thread. We're going to be keeping you busy making new threads!

Good Morning, All!

CamsGrammy said...

Hi all. I have been watching since the babies were 5 days old last year. I really enjoy spending part of my days with you eagle momsters. Yesterday was overweling. I sat here with tears just rolling. I am really looking forward the watching this year. My grandson will be 2 in Jan. and when I get on the computer he always wants to see the birds. I hope to share this with him this year.

Well, wow, 2 new bloggers! WELCOME Civilwarlady and CamsGrammy. How exciting. Cam comes up and new lurkers arrive. Good to meet you! Look forward to talking to you during this new eagle season!

Morning, Paula.

All, I have some news I can share from Lisa at BW. Email from this morning:

"I've heard that the electric company is finishing up some power line work on the road near the eagle nest. It's creating interference with the cam signal, so we're waiting to see if they get done soon before going live.

Our cam tech is going to check it tomorrow, and if it looks better, we'll go live. If not, we'll be making a phone call to the electric company to see how much longer this could go on.

I did hear that since they've had the cam on at the Visitor Center, they did manage to see the eagle pair eat a meal at the nest. So that means the eagles are using it and they do appear to be bonding. Definitely a good sign."

So if the electric company cooperates, they'll go live tomorrow with their eagle cam! They've had some problems with interferrence, and the elec company is putting in new power lines. Told her to get her wet noodle out and threaten them with 20 lashes if they didn't speed it up!

So... more good news. Life is good.

Yes and the yards all look bigger than they are but i am tellin ya thats way up there. the tree is moving back inforth he is moving around

Suzanne said...

How was your training yesterday, Mits? Did you see our big boy Tai and visit with him a while? That has just got to be sooooo cool. Catoctin has closed for the winter, so can't see my little Lemur or the tiger cubs. Well, cub now, and by the time they re-open in the Spring, the baby lemur will be fully grown. Maybe they'll have another...

Suzanne said...

MT foggy nest in Kent. Osprey nest MT. Sigh...

Nilla said...

Cant get Buta Buta up just says connecting to media and ready n sets there black screen... I will never make it back to lay down...lol

Mits said...

Training went very well yesterday, and, yes saw all 3 pandas. Mei and Tai were eating bamboo right at the bottom of the new yard right up against the windows, if the glass was not there I could have touched them.

Mits said...

NILLA Stop worrying, he's a good climber and he is a daring cub...likes action.

Nilla said...

Tai was coming down the tree, Mits they must be over in the big yard, where we sat and watched Tian... Mei is eating bamboo

Mits said...

Its Thursday, Buta might be at her exam....you think they would get that done before the cam is supposed to be on, since there is limited time in watching her.

Nilla said...

Okie Dokie he is down and wondering around.. The UK gals were not on MSN but left Doreen a message about the cam and i also changed my picture to one of nest yesterday for them to see...So hopefully they will come over soon.. BBL

Welcome to our New Bloggers. Come out come out wherever you are. We are off and running with our New Season and yes we do want to share it with you!!!

I have been reading up on the Film Loop and how to make it os you can save any of those pictures you want. You can also turnt he loop into your screensaver.

I am hoping you will decide to install the Filmloop Player on your computer for those who want to save photos off of Loop (s) You will find a place to click Film Loop and then install player.

From then on when you want to see and save a loop or any of its photos you click on Open in Film Loop and you are free to keep what you want on your own computer. You can also under options once you have the player click on Screensaver and you have a nice screensaver of Our eagles this year running rignt before your very eyes LOL...Or you can run it continuously across the bottom of your screen as a mini loop.

.The above info is probably more than most of you want to know BUT I have had a question on how to save photos from The Loop. For the Momsters most of the photos or some very very similar in time frame are also posted in Momster albums.

Lots of pictures for anybody and Every body anywhere.

wvsasha - or anyone else interested - I have a whole page of links on my website, which is much easier for me to refer you to than listing all the individual links. The only one not on there is the Florida cam, which I have listed seperately.

To the new people on here, please hang out with us and don't run off. I have developed such great friendships with people I otherwise would never have come in contact with in my life. We have supported each other through a lot of lifes ups and downs. Not only do we love watching eagles and other wildlife together but we also love supporting each other through life. It is definitely WE THING. ((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))

Hi, Eagle lovers. It's been a while since I've been on here. I am so excited about getting to watch Liberty and Belle for this new season. On Monday of this week I saw an adult bald eagle flying high over Germany Valley here in Pendleton County. They are such magnificent creatures!
Nilla - have you set a time for the dinner on the 16th? If it's not too late, I may be able to come -go willing and the snow don't fly!

Carol said...

Can't type today - my last comment should've been: God willing and the snow don't fly!

I think her partner better be bringing her food or when he gets there she'll have a thing or two to say about it. As if she already isn't. lol

It looks like both Tai and Mei are outside eating bamboo.

My (our) eagle cam still stuck.

Oh my I just seen her (Florida) fly out of the nest. Something was above her and out she went!! 2:52pmEST They are moving cam around looking for her. No sight of what was going on??????? WOW eekss hope there isn't an egg there. :( 2:54pmEST Just flew back into nest. Looking down like there might be an egg.

Ok where all pulling straws to see who goes to Florida. Goes up in this quite sounding kite with motor to hoover over nest to see what's there. OH NO nobody gets out of pulling a straw....get back here everyone....lol
