Drama here last nite - as dogs went out for their bedtime routine - they cornered a possum in the yard. Thankfully Bubby's bellow stopped them from an entanglement. As you may know they have 50 teeth (the possum), and don't always play "possum" when encountered.

I went to the dermatologist this morning and I have seborrheic keratoses. Nothing major! Yay!
Good Morning! Found a new way to read the blog....leave your computer on all night. I got to reading last night and forgot all about my laptop. I know, not good! Reading War Horse...a young adult book. That's me! ☺ Laurel brought it to me from her 6th grade library she has in her room. Young adults do have a good selection!
Sun shiney day here, 59.9 and heading up into the 80's. Not good...would much prefer the low 70's. Will spend the day in the yard, though!

There are some interesting Channel Island reports posted recently ... some of the nesting has started up now and maybe more in the works.
I don't know what the biologists have done, but the quality of the pictures has improved greatly lately. One thing is probably the use of polarizing filters, which cut through the haze and fogs beautifully. Here's the bluey link:

SHARON Those are quite common in Fl with the sun exposure I have friends that have them removed and x husband also has had them on neck and nose
I have walked. Watched Belle the whole time. She flew off for a few minutes but then came back. She did a lot of grooming and heck of a lot of flugg moving. She'd move it to the right, then to the left...then back to the right, etc. LOL
I am off now to get ready for the day. Going to the grossery store before getting really dirty working in the yard.

Dana, that PH nest you are looking at is last year's and is not being used this year.
Within the last two weeks the biologists have finally found the nest for this year, but the pair was not incubating yet...I "think" it might be the first new nest they worked on last year.
We are currently waiting for further information and to see if Dr. Sharpe will be able to get video of the action on.line this year.

Angie said Jordyn is feeling some better and is down for a nap and she is taking one too and her boss called her and told her not to come in tomorrow that she also has a scratchy throat and doesn't want Angie to carry anything to the office Angie was at work yesterday I guess she doesn't think of that part So I probably wont have J tomorrow unless her boss changes her mind Angies emailed her and reminded her that she was there yesterday and if she was going to get it she would already be infected and she did say she has a scratchy throat so we will just see
Odd My computer makes a beep or ding even when I go on facebook odd huh I guess it means any web slice I haven't a clue but I just noticed that when i went to FB Ok I am going to get caught up of the TV that I have dvrd was going to go out but the pollen is at the highest so staying in air my eyes aren't burning today like yesterday; maybe because I haven't been outside

Back from shopping.
Got a new mouse. The other one never did work properly. Poor kid at Target made the mistake of saying that it was one of the cheaper ones. That is just not true . . . he finally said that it was one of the "mid grade" ones. Anyway, I got an even fancier one this time. It works.
Looked at their mouse pads--geesh, they were expensive, too. Passed on that. I have several around here that cost us nothing or next to nothing.
Cat medication--I ordered from Vet Centric. That is the place my vet recommended. The vet has already signed off on the prescriptions for them.
Maybe I should shop around a bit, though, Andy. George's stuff is quite expensive. Almost $70 a month for the Propulsid.
I am going to shop around for his food. It will be nice to have his stuff sent here, so I do not have to make the trips across town.

Multi tasking here...doing my hair and washing clothes. Not working very well. By the time I get the clothes out of the dryer, hung up and or folded, my hair is dried out and I have to wet it again before I put curlers in it:)

Haven't used hair curlers for awhile. My hair is so fine, it has to be set every day, so I use the curling iron. When I was in college, I washed it and set it every day first thing in the morning. Just using the curling iron is easier.
back and now I feel naked...I left my wedding rings to be sent away at the Jewelers. The 1/2 carat the "holder of it" the prongs as woren. So I am having a new "holder" put on and the rest checked out. I can't believe how much they appraised it for since it was brought in 1988. WOW!!!!
I keep feeling my ring finger with another finger see if it is there. lol

SHARON - great news about Nila! It ain't over til it's over, is it? And good news from your dermatologist! Turns out that 2 of my 5 biopsies are basal cells - appt. at the end of the month to have them excised.

Shirley, my hair does not hold up for very long from a curling iron.
However, I do use the c. iron to touch up and area or two that just didn't curl right on the curler.
No way could I stand washing and curling and drying my hair, first thing every morning. You were probably among the very few who did that, every morning!

blow dry my SHORT hair....

WANDA, I have already had about 25 basal cell carcinomas removed and even 1 melanoma on my hip (very tiny and it was completely excised). I have always been, and still am, a sun worshiper! It's my vice! =) GG is right, they are nothing!

Yes, it was the PH nest...both chicks were attacked and knocked out of the nest by another eagle. They were rehabbed and released from the hack tower on the island (Santa Cruz)
Wanda, you are remembering when Dr Sharpe used to take the eggs out of the nest, incubate and hatch them, and then return them to the nest when they were a couple of days old. He doesn't do that to any Catalina nests anymore.

Well, I'm not even staying on now. I hope maybe over the weekend I will have more time. This week has been crazy.
Annemarie started LAX today so late getting home and getting dinner ready. Now we have eaten and I am ready to crawl into bed with my book.
Dinner was delicious...3/4 cup rice, 1 1/3 cup water, 1 can cream of mush soup, and chicken breasts on top with some parm cheese in a 13X9 baking pan. In the oven 30-45 minutes. Quick easy and good.
Yummy DanaMo sounds like a good dinner. Don't let OC see they are getting to any of us...They have their lurkers on here. Just enjoy your book you have had a long day. Special and good thoughts to you hugs.

Long day. Wore me out! Christie left about 8, I've had my bath and I'm ready for bed. We have to leave here at 6:30AM. Port will be put in first, and then chemo around 9:30 or 10. Depending on how I feel, we will probably get some lunch before coming home. So will see you sometime tomorrow afternooon. No time to catch up with your days events now....sorry.

LYNNE, had to Google "peepers" and listen to them! Gee, I've heard that sound a lot around here but never knew it was from something called a peeper! Where I grew up, a peeper was a creep who looked in your window! =) Thanks for the new knowledge!

I have to tell you a JUDY story ok I always say if you can't laugh at yourself you might as well give up Well when I went to WMT to get my prescription I put on one of the pants I hadn't wore in a while well when I got there I got out of the truck and tore the inseam of my pants at the thigh area ok I am there so I just grabbed a sweater and tied it around my waist and went in
ok that not the funny part When I got home I locked the truck and walked to the front of the house and opened the screen door and guess what I took my remote to the car and clicked it to open the door and just burst out laughing as I did it What a duh moment huh I told you it was funny

Busy day today. School then home to play cook and then to play baker. Neighbors for dinner tomorrow night so two chocolate cream pies cooling. Menu: Maryland crab cakes, cole slaw, corn muffins, seafood bisque and chocolate cream pie.
Really need to get to sleep. Sandperson is standing beside me with a back of dream dust. Will be making rounds in a few.

Got home from work late, watched Idol, read emails, & now it's almost time to hit the hay!Have to go in earlier to Chelsea than normal, pack up all the rest of Dinosaur stuff to take to Montpelier Mansion in AM. I already took pics of most of the exhibits yesterday, but there are a couple of additions I can't wait to see!!!!!

Well today is not a good day for my sister Janet she got rear ended but she is OK not hurt the lady that hit her is ok also I will let her tell you the story just wanted to let you all know she is fine and the lady did get a ticket When it rains it pours comes to mind today with Laura being in the hospital and now her accident So just rest assured she is fine and is wore out and said she will be back to the blog she promises
