I remember the PH incident a few years ago. It was one of the first pictures I saw that I realized how big eaglets really are. I think there was a pic of Stephani holding one when they rescued them.

Laying awake early this morning and thinking about all the medical miracles experienced here: eyes, knees, hips, internal & external health issues and marveling at what can be accomplished thru modern medicine. Gives me pause to think how fortunate we are.
Winter storm warnings here - 5-7" heavy wet snow - possible power outages. And then by Tues mid-50's. Darn that Mother Nature!

I think Dr. Sharpe has switched the PH camera to the new nest; it looks much clearer today; and I just noticed one of the adults has arrived.
Maybe the first Hummer chick will fledge today ... or tomorrow. The mother just fed them, and it wasn't a minute before they were both warming those wings up...the oldest one is getting some lift now.
So Cal is going into one of its desert winds things for a couple of days. It'll be around 70° today, but by Sunday it's supposed to be over 80°!
