Thanks Steve for the new thread and yes it is good to have two healthy eaglets. Enjoy your weekend. I will go call the others.

DanaMo said...

Love when Shep comes, stays a few minutes and leaves as if to say, "nothing for me to do here, guess I will go fish" LOL!

DanaMo said...

Well I should really go eat lunch while I have the chance.

JudyEddy said...

Love the name of the NEW THREAD THANKS FOR THE NEW THREAD AND THE CALL OVER HODA

Lolly said...

Waiting for Andy, she's not here yet!

Lolly said...

Why does my comment say 9:45?

JudyEddy said...

Aren't you in a different time zone LOLLY ??? that may be it

JudyEddy said...

it says 1245 on my end

Sandi said...

First, is that a big mess of fish I see at the bottom of the nest?? Second, those babies were way too close to the edge again for me. Funny to see Belle hop over them and then coax them back toward the middle (this was about 30 min. ago but I couldn't comment). Looks like both are napping in the shade now.

Mema Jo said...

Thank you Steve for the fresh Friday thread. Sunny sunny day! Good outdoors
day for sure.

Sandi said...

Thanks, Steve, for the new Friday thread - these eaglets sure are healthy and happy!! Thanks for the call over Hoda and DMo! Lynn, I am so sad to hear that you are still feeling lousy today - prayers and positive energy for you!

Hoda said...

Thinking of LYNN♥

Great story PAULA from TJ thank you for posting.

The nest has been restocked...good on Shep.

magpie said...

Hi, you Friday Folks
Thanks Steve,
Thanks, Hoda,
for the announcement

Thiking of Lynn♥

Sounds like it's nice outside...
Can't wait until quitting time

Kay said...

Thank you STEVE, for a new RED FRIDAY thread ! So good to open up and see our chicks enjoying the shade in Belle's shadow.

TJ's tutorial is so good, giving us insight into some of the things observed here and at NBG, too. Thanks to TJ and PAULA !

LYNN in my prayers as she restarts chemo therapy. Also for CAROLYN and Charlie, he needs good test results and she needs Rest with a capital R !

PAULA and CAROLANNE, thanks for dog food recipes. They differ a bit, though both orignated with Sandi, I believe. I've forwarded both to Julie Kay !

WANDA, wow, that is one busy doc ! I do hope the patches help GG. Last summer friends from AZ visited and he was wearing such patches on his lower back, with super results. My pain was worsening and they couldn't help but notice, as the little forward tilt to the right and the limp were developing. They insisted I try the patches as he had an ample supply. Wore one for three days they were here, but received no relief. Perhaps it takes a longer trial ?? Guess you've been to GG's by now to get that oven going for some yummy apple pie ! Oh, and will you need to go to her place daily in order to change the patch or is it in a self-reachable place ?

That limp is now minimal and I'm standing "almost" straight ! The pain has been reduced by at least half, though meds, ice and TENS are all still needed. Very encouraging. Much of this is due to good healing Momster prayers ! I love you, Eagle Buds ! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

DanaMo said...

I am exhausted today! Wow is it 3:00 yet?

Happy Hour tonight at my house for the teachers, I can't wait! Gonna have to vacuum quick when I get home!~

Kay said...

OH, HO, WHAT A POWERFUL POOP SHOOT FROM CHICK ON THE LEFT ! FEEDING TIME AND BOTH ARE EAGER EATERS !

Mema Jo said...

Another feeding!

Kay said...

DANAMO, what do you serve for Teacher Happy Hour ? Sounds like fun !

I see a lot of concern about the crib rails, but think the whole nest is deeper and better protected than the camera angle allows us to appreciate. Seems like Shep just had to experiment with how much food was really necessary for the pantry. He used to bring in so much we were all wishing they'd throw some out. Now it seems he's just meeting the needs without overdoing it.

mariadangeloart said...

Um, is she going to get those two back in the egg cup?!

mariadangeloart said...

Man these guys are active. They are making me a little nervous where they are. And I usually don't get nervous......

DanaMo said...

Kay- I am making a veggie pizza, shrimp, and I made a "grape salad" (delicious). I'm not sure what everyone else is bringing.

Lynne2 said...

I'm going to need some chocolate if these babies don't get back in the middle!!! How is anyone supposed to concentrate at work on a busy day and look a this, too!

Hoda said...

Can we all go back to the crib please???!!! much more comfy there I would say...comeon little ones...

Judie said...

Good afternoon.

Had to get my "do" did this morning. I am now beauteous.

Thank you Steve for the fresh sunshiny Friday thread and Hoda for the hollering for us.

Just trying for a quick catch up so please don't be offended if I miss you.

Thinking of Lynn today, of course. I hope with all my heart everything goes well.

Kay, I am hoping you have some more relief.

Lolly, hope you and the Andy gang have fun together.

Maybe Lolly is on CA time?lol

Lynne2, as Wanda said, please you and Steve try to keep this outside of your life. Sometimes we just have to step back and let events unfold when we have little or no control. No guilt and no regrets. Does not mean you don't care.

Mema Jo said...

Lolly - Andy Where are you.........

Praying for Lynn to be able to rest
this afternoon and eat something.

Taking a break.......... BBILW

Hoda said...

No not listening...I wished eagles were a bit like cts where they could pick their young by the nape.

Judie said...

Oh, Kay, see you are some better. Very happy. Hope the improvement continues.

Wanda, missed what's up with Miss GG. More pain I guess. So sorry. Wondered about Family Friday. Yes or no go?

Also missed an update about Charlie. Hoping he gets well enough for surgery and Carolyn can get some much needed rest especially since she's feeling puny.

Lynne2 said...

wow, what the heck is THAT?

Hoda said...

Shep brings in another huge fish...is it a cat fish? Is it still alive? He poofs and turns around to fly over the nest. Belle was feeding the chicks and goes to the new fishlittle ones are vocalizing...

magpie said...

I dind't see it arrive

but it looks...kinda of different, maybe a non-fish

Hi Judie.....
Hello Judie Again, just so happy to see you

magpie said...

does it seem sometimes the babies are trying to nurse?
when they get all cozied up

Lynne, it IS very hard to work sometimes when Cam-Wtching

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Not sure what was brought in just now but it ain't a fish! :(

Judie said...

Now my dear momsters and dadsters, I need to ask for a little help from you. A difficult request to be sure.

As I mentioned, Darth and I have decided the best solution regarding the panthers is to admit we cannot keep them. We have tried for six months. An extremely difficult and sad decision.

We contacted 4PAWS locally. They are not accepting animals for the next several months.

Neither of us has any experience with a Human Society or SPCA. As they are almost six years old, black, and still demonstrating feral behaviors, we suspect they will not be good candidates for adoption.

It would also be helpful to know if any of you have adopted a pet from a Humane Society or SPCA. How would be know if potential adoptees are problem animals?

If any of you can provide us with insight, we would be so very grateful. Above all, we want to do what is best for the panthers.

If you prefer, and have some advice, you are welcome to use the blog or email.

Kay said...

JUDIE, it's so good to "see" you ! Your remarks are always spot on ! I can't improve on what you've said to LYNNE2 about her sil's well being and the family's role. Love you, LYNNE ! ♥

Our chicks are so sated they've literally passed out, with one using the big fish for a pillow ! Sweet as sweet can be !

paula eagleholic said...

Yes, we have 2 fat and sassy peaglets! They are splayed out behind Mom, laying in the shade she is providing.

Kay said...

Oh, JUDIE, amazing that after 6 years the panthers have never outgrown their feralness. Do you think they'd each behave differently if they were separated, going to 2 different homes ? I hope LYNNE2 or LORI will be able to give good advice.

paula eagleholic said...

The menu item..is it at about 3 or so in the nest? Grayish?

I do see another nice headless fish....

Hoda, there was a catfish there earlier

paula eagleholic said...

The catfish is at the back of the nest at the 11 spot

magpie said...

Judie
I can offer my quietness on the blog to leaave more space for answers to your questions
...and hope for good advice to flow your way
xoxox

Kay said...

SHARON, is what you see right in front of Belle now ? Looks kinda furry.

magpie said...

don't know what grey at the 3 is
agree not a fish
we might know soon if feathers start flying

okay, ttfn my lips are buttoned

Kay said...

MARGY, don't zip your lips ! There's room here for everybody !

CarolAnne said...

Judie - while you determine what the next step will be concerning the cats may I suggest you try a product (available at pet stores such as PetCo) called Richards Organic Pet Calm. Its a liquid that you can give to them in their water (if they drink regularly) or squirt into their mouth or add to a dab of their food. Some people have had a lot of success using it.

Hoda said...

PAULA I see the catfish at ten position. I read your entry about it earlier the day. I do not know what was brought in and await a clearer view...MARGY and SHARON say not a fish...is it feathery or is it fury???Not sure...

CarolAnne said...

Me again - Judie all of our pets are from Hum Soc. And all have their "issues. The 2 dogs are sisters and adopted when only a few months old. At that age they were cute & cuddly. Now one is Queen Bee and the other is a whiny, clingy baby. (4 yrs old now). The two cats came from the same cat room, where everyone was getting along. They use some type of phremone (sp?)to keep a room full of cats calm. For 2 yrs one was always challenging & looking for a fight. The other retaliated by wetting on any flat, fabric surface. Now we spray "happy gas" around (the cat verison of phremones) and no more wetting & less fighting. But I think there is no guarantee that you'll get a well adjusted pet.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

It is definitely something feathery or furry and not scaly. I couldn't get a good look at it though. Something will be flying when they start eating it.

I will never forget the time they brought a turtle into the nest and after a bit it started crawling across the nest. Future is not too bright when you wake up in an eagle's nest.

stronghunter said...

Unless you are an eagle, Sharon.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Our pet issues:

Hairy has psychotic episodes. He sees bugs that aren't there. Sometimes he sees bugs that are there and if he can't catch them, he runs and hides under the bed.

Buphals will stand in front of a chair and whine, waiting for an invitation to get in it.

Scooby is really forceful and will run you over to get to where he is going.

Buddy - well, we all know about Buddy. He likes to eat anything and dig in garbage.

Lillian - not sure about her yet. Don't like when she gets one of my birds.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

True dat, Shirley! :)

Hoda said...

How did the eagles get past the shell? I would think a turtle could go inwards but as you say SHARON the future would not be too bright if you landed in an eagles's nest!!!

Hoda said...

It is feathery wind blowing it the same like on Belle...

Hoda said...

Poop shoot, almost got Belle!!! She looked down and there it is over the fish and on it too...I will say like SANDI'S students EWWWWWW!!!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Hoda, they go in from the bottom. It is the most challenging food they eat.

JudyEddy said...

Doesn't it look like they are huging

JudyEddy said...

wing around the other

Hoda said...

Its a bird...it has wings

JudyEddy said...

or a choke hold LOL

Hoda said...

There goes... feathers

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Just saw a feather be plucked.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Isn't that like cannibalism?

JudyEddy said...

I wish we knew what that was

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Baby just got knocked over on a pluck.

JudyEddy said...

I BIRD eating another bird YUK

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Maybe a coot?

Hoda said...

Gracious me Little big man pecked Belle twice trying to get something to eat!!!

Good question SHARON

Kay said...

They're having a hard time waitng for Mom to get that bird plucked and ready ! Seems impossible for them to be that hungry. They go quickly from comatose to "is it soup yet?"

Sandi said...

Hilarious watching A and B with this new food! They're used to fish where, as soon as Mom pulls off a piece, she offers it to them. One keeps getting bopped in the head b/c he/she can't wait for Belle to get the feathers plucked!!

JudyEddy said...

poop shoot

JudyEddy said...

got it on video LOL

Kay said...

Lost the cam, can't get it back. Anyone else ?

stronghunter said...

I had problems for awhile, but have it back now.

Kay said...

Did I lose all you, too ?

Kay said...

Thanks, SHIRLEY, I'll keep trying.

Hoda said...

PAULA, did you get any of the money that was flying around 9:00AM on interstat270 in central Maryland??? An armored vehicle lost a whole bunch of cash and cars were stopping to collect the money flying around...The police wants people to turn the money in...what are the chances of that happeneing I wonder? Is this the highway you take to get to work? LOL did you miss out?

JudyEddy said...

Jordyn just got up Lost my cam onece in the past 20min but it came back

Kay said...

It's back and I see two comatose eaglets again ! No wonder they are growing soooo fast !

BBL, got a few things to do and then going to Julie's for dinner. We will be joined by good friends and their 9 year old twins. Always fun people to be with.

Hope I return to good news from both LYNN and CAROLYN.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

DANAMO must be vacuuming by now for her party?

Enjoy your evening out KAY.

stronghunter said...

Oh my, Hoda. A snow globe of cash.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

One is cuddling to the dead bird.

Hoda said...

Did you get any SHIRLEY??? LOL Hagerstown is close to the nest and in my mind to wher eyou all live...LOL Maybe this is why PAULA is not posting right now???Investing her snow globe of cash???Ya think???

Hoda said...

I see that SHARON!!!

stronghunter said...

Don't know, Hoda.

I am about 200 miles from the nest.

stronghunter said...

Maybe Paula will fill us in of the windfall of cash in MD.

Hoda said...

JudyEddy said...

Does any one see either a reflection of somethng blowing in front of her I keep seeing it

Hoda said...

light reflections around Belle's head, from the camera lense perhaps?

Hoda said...

I think it is the sun rays and the angle it is hitting either the lense or a metal part of the casing JUDYE

JudyEddy said...

HODA so glad yu saw it to Is been driving me nuts first I thought SNOW LOL

JudyEddy said...

time to take Jordyn to Angie

Jewels said...

Good afternoon! Haven't heard from Mom yet. I seen where she posted how weak she was this morning. Saddened that I did not get to go, but I so needed sleep. Only slept till abouut 2pm or so, but it was a really good sllep!! I have to work tonight, midnight to 4 am. Then I am off till midnight Sunday night.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

I bet we have a spider web starting.

Sandi said...

Belle is calling out!

Hoda said...

Belle is upset, calling out. Someone flying over her nest...not pleased

Sandi said...

Belle watching something very intently! Still calling!

Hoda said...

Glad you got some sleep Carolyn. You do not want to be around your Mom if you are getting a cold so it is essential that you also look after your health. Let us know when she checks in with you please.

HUGS...

Spider web SHARON??? That would make watching gthe nest challenging!!! I know you all had it before, so I guess we will cope.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

I watched a spider one night spin a beautiful web. The first time I ever commented on the blog, I think, was about a spider. Skeered me to death.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

My first post ever:

eagle-eyed sharon said...
Okay, the spider is a little scary. It really is hard to see the eagles or anything else for that matter through the white legs and body. Nature is a wonderful thing. Okay, did you guys make provisions for things like this? Like -- how are you going to get the spider away from the camera?

Friday, April 07, 2006 6:16:00 AM

Hoda said...

That is amazing SHARON that you could relocate your first post... Thank you for bringing it over...you have been watching for a VERY long time...since the camera was put in...Thanks for sharing...I am not sure how it will be for me to see the spider but rather imagine the same like you, it would get in the way.

Sandi said...

Shep arrives with another fish! Boy, did he nail that landing. Managed to land right at the launch pad with Belle and both chickets there. Of course, the fish's tail seems to be draped over one of the chicks! :)

Hoda said...

Good heavens more fish!!! Enough for one day Shep!!! Leave some for tomorrow will ya!!! KAY DID want you to bring more fish in though...

Poof Shep.
Belle is feeding the chicklets yet again...did I read a pound a week? every five days I think in NCTC article...these little chicklets will put on more thatn that if they keep eating the way they are!!!THEY ARE STANDING UP to reach for food!!! Strong little ones...

Sandi said...

Shep took off again right away! He seems to be a man on a mission today!

Hoda said...

I think of LOLLY and ANDY and hope they had a good visit.

Hoda said...

Debs, from Hancock Foundatio, has counted FIVE meal deliveries since 12:35 PM!!! KAY will be very happy to hear that I am sure...

Just Vicky said...

Those lil rascals get all over that nest! Makes this momster to get concerned!

Hoda said...

Hi VICKY, the thing I keep reminding myself is the nest is a lot deeper than it appears to me from this angle...I would like for them to go back to the cup though!!! LOL!!!

Lynne2 said...

OMG, REALLY??? They are sleeping in a pile of dead fish? ROFLMAO!!! Hope someone is putting pics in the Momster Album!!

Lori O. said...

JEWELS,
So glad you have only a short shift tonight! Sleep is in sight for you. Like Kay said, Rest with a capital "R," for you! Hope Charlie is feeling better and the docs are giving you all the info you need to feel confident that he is on the mend.

Lynne2 said...

Good grief, is that a pileated woodpecker in the nest???

JudyEddy said...

I am uploading the videos on Youtube got a good one of the POOP Shoot you can tell when they are about to do one I put pic on FB and will put on blog when they are done Need to go get busy and pick up

Helloooooo! I am home! Had a wonderful visit with Andy and Ken. Really not long enough. She is charming, a delightful person and Ken is so nice too. But, I think are Momsters and Dadsters are great!

Ok, you want to see a couple of pics? Two pictures are on my Eagle/Panda Blog. I'll go get a link.

Lolly said...

Lori O. said...

CarolAnne, you had some great suggestions for Judie with the Happy Gas...where do you get that? I'll look for the Organic Drink mixture, too.

Lori O. said...

How exciting! LOLLY & Andy had a great time! YAY! Like we didn't know you two would enjoy meeting. :) Great pics, Lolly! Thanks for sharing.

Lolly said...

They have had a fantastic two weeks here with family and are heading home tomorrow. After our visit they were heading to Dallas. LOL I will let Andy tell you what they were going to do after our visit.

I went to Laurel's after lunch and had a quick visit. Friday afternoon traffic made it a 1 1/2 hour trip home. Yuck!!!

paula eagleholic said...

What a sight...passed out chicks in a pile of fish, LOL

Lori O. said...

LYNNE2, I was thinking Judie's cats would benefit greatly with the one of those stick and string toys like the guy on My Cat from Hell uses all the time. Using that toy really works and I have used it on my Andie with great success.

Lori O. said...

HODA, I take 270 to and from work. On my way home today I saw several law enforcement cars and an armored vehicle on the side of the highway...that must have been it. Didn't see any money by time I went through.

Mema Jo said...

Thank you Lolly and Andy and Ken for the
picture! I bet you all just talked and talked and talked!

Our nest is something else! At first
I couldn't find the eaglets for the fish!

I think we are going to have breakfast at IHops for dinner..........

JudyEddy said...

Sandi said...

Not for long - poof Shep!

Mema Jo said...

Hoda - Location of the cash spill was
Hyattstown & Not Hagerstown.

I am glad I saw that because I was really sorry I took a nap this afternoon. But Hyattstown is a bit too
far down the road.....

Lolly said...

Nothing quite like sleeping amongst "deat" fish and using one for a pillow. LOL

Lolly said...

Get those babies back to the cup!!!

Hoda said...

OH GREAT pictures LOLLY thank you.

Shep brings in yet another fish. That brings it up to 6 food items since 12:35 PM!!!

So that is what you are telling us LORI??? You did not see any money??? Seriously amazing thing that you even passed the scene...

Hoda said...

What a dilema JO...nap or go after the cash!!!??? LOL Seriously what are the chances of anyone returning it? They did ask...

Sandi said...

Lolly, what a nice day you and Andy must have had!! Great pics - thanks for sharing!

Hoping that Lynn is feeling OK.

Our eaglets have been spoiled by this warm, sunny weather. Things are really changing here - a wet weekend and highs in the 40s by next Tuesday!

Lori O. said...

Not a dime - nothing there when I went through, HODA. Funny though that you're on the other side of the country and hear about it!

Lolly said...

Interesting...about the time on my blog posts on my phone. The time is 3 hours off. My phone has the correct time, but the time is not east time or central time. I guess it is west coast time, but why???

Lolly said...

Feeding the eaglets. Time to lure them back to the cup.

Lolly said...

Good view of the feeding. Guess they are little piglets not eaglets.

Hoda said...

LOLLY Great pictures of you and ANDY and then of ANDY and KEN...on facebook the eagle looks great what a sweet thing to bring him along...

Hoda said...

CBS carried the story LORI and it caught my eye because on the internet it said the story was from Hagerstwon so I right away thought of the nest and Jo says the incident did not happen there but in another town...I wonder who gets to cover this loss?

Hoda said...

I hope the chicklets get to move to the cup before it gets dark...how will Belle brood in the pantry I wonder...

Lori O. said...

Tonight at the nest:
A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely after 4am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 58.

NatureNut said...

Good Afternoon!

Hoda said...

I would like to hear from LYNN or about LYNN HUGS♥

JudyEddy said...

she is covering the chick with flugg I am recording to

glo said...

Yes she was feeding one of them right over the one that was sleeping and then picking the fish flakes off of the feathers of the one trying to sleep. I guess I was the only one watching at that time. It was funny LOL

glo said...

What a good mom She has them all tucked in at the nest cup. Now I really can go eat and no one will be eating dinner over my head :-)

Hoda said...

I wished the little one under the fluff would find his way in under Belle...I think he is asleep though!!!...Have a good supper GLO and I hope no one eats over you!!! LOL

WV sUSAn said...

Uh oh, we have escapees. Should have never let them see the pantry!

WV sUSAn said...

Hoda, unless the bills were marked, I just don't think anyone would return any money. I would keep even if to give to someone else who needed it more.

Mema Jo said...

Out temp is still high 70's and should only get down to the high 50's tonight.

My buttermilk pancakes from IHops hit
the spot.

WV sUSAn said...

mmmmm Pancakes sound wonderful, JO. Warm pecan syrup.

The babies are acting so grown.

Anybody talked to LYNN or the girls?

Lolly said...

Jack and I went out to the back patio for him to have a beer and I had my glass of wine. 75 and sunny, felt so good. Then we did a walk around of the yard. Had a rs hawk watching from one of our trees.

I see the piglets have moved most of the way back to the cup from sleeping in the panty. Now, tell me....is there one or two little piglets in front of Belle?

WV sUSAn said...

I think the peaglet (I love that, Paula) in the front is a female. She is sitting there atert and wathful like her momma.

WV sUSAn said...
