Good morning everyone :)

Bird Girl said...

HAHA! Wow! Quite the poop shoot from one of the chicks just now LOL

Lolly said...

Good morning! Forgive my manners...I headed to bed last night without saying good night. I was reading the dramatic ending of my book. Could not put it down and read til very late. Had to know the ending!!

Just catching up on facebook. Read the bear update
Jo,Shirley,Sharon LOL
What do I need to do to get a bear named after me?

Bird Girl said...

So glad to see two happy, active babies :)

Lolly said...

Hoping Lynn had a good night and that they get her nausua under control. Thinking also of Kay.

Lolly said...

Hi Delphia....we have two little "peaglets" in the nest. They are eating well and Shep has proved himself.

stronghunter said...

BBL.

Lolly said...

Belle is feeding one of the chicks. The other is sleeping. Hope they stay low and in the cup today. That wind is awful!

Lolly said...

I keep forgetting to tell you about the Cardinal's nest outside my kitchen window. After lots of activity, we stopped seeing them. Saturday I parted the leaves and branches to look at the nest. To my surprise it was complete with an egg. However, we think it has been abandoned as we have not seen them for a week. Will let it sit for a few days then will remove it to a basket on the front porch. They may have decided there was too much activity there or did the heavy rain last week cause a problem???

Lolly said...

Peaglet finished eating and now Belle is chowing down.

Bird Girl said...

I'm going to be offline tomorrow through next Monday, I'll be back then! Keep and eye on them fuzzy piglets for me!

paula eagleholic said...

Lolly, can you post a pic of the cardinal egg? Thanks!

Lolly said...

Sure will, Paula. I'll go take it now.

Mema Jo said...

lol Laughing at Lolly and the bear
names of Jo Shirley and Sharon....
It is a link on Lolly's comment...
I guess right now that Lily is as close
to Lolly as we have for names... lol

Lolly said...

Okay, Paula, here is the picture of the cardinal eggs. We are really puzzled. I thought I saw only one egg on Saturday, now there are three. Maybe they have not been abandoned but we certainly have not seen mom and dad cardinal. Well, I am not touching the nest for sure. Will just wait and see what happens.

Cardinal eggs at Hawkwood

Lolly said...

LOL Jo! When I saw the title of that bear update, I was puzzled.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Wow, Jo and Shirley, we are so special they named bears after us! Love it!!!

T-Bird said...

I'm a little late. : ) Thanks for the call over Magpie and thank you Steve for the new thread.

Mema Jo said...

The 2 eggs are really a full clutch I would think. I would have to look it up.
I would say Don't Touch. Amusing how
the adults get by you... I would think that next time you peek - you'll see
Momma Cardinal..........

Lolly said...

Belle just poofed!

Mema Jo said...

Lolly - I scrolled through your Hawkwood
Garden pictures and I really think you
have created a beautiful haven - it
is so very peaceful.

Lori O. said...

Cool eggs picture, Lolly! Sorry about the bear names, but like Jo said, Lily is close, and even closer if it's with two "L's".

Good Morning again everyone! Hope your days are going swell...what a fun word!

Thinking of our Lynn and Kay and hoping both are feeling ooooodles better this morning. Prayers and healing thoughts for both... Charlie and Jewels, too.

Mema Jo said...

T Bird - good windy morning!
It's me, your friend... ♥

Lolly said...

I just do not want a bird flying into my face when I go to take a peek. Heart failure for sure! I looked up incubation, it is 11 to 13 days. That would be the towards the end of next week.

Lolly said...

LOL Jo. Do you think Thelma needs gentle approach like the bears? It's me bear.
It's me, your friend.

Mema Jo said...

Shep needs to step down off the rail

Lolly said...

Hey there, Megan. Certaily hope a frost or freeze does not hit your flowers in the morn.

magpie said...

Oh bother, Megan, the pollen !!
...may it blow away and do its business and keep away from our allergy sufferers....
xoxo

Mema Jo said...

Come on Dad - Give him a bite.........

Both those little ones just dig in their
wings and climb!

Lolly said...

I know the third name...if they hatch! Magpie! ☺

Lolly, Jack, and Magpie! LOL

Lori O. said...

Thanks Margy! I sure hope we have the honor of having more BV babies this year. That was so fun!

Mema Jo said...

"I'm going to get a fish and Dad
isn't going to stop me "

Mema Jo said...

Look me in the eye, Dad

Lolly said...

So Shep is maybe coaxing that eaglet off the rail?

Mema Jo said...

Shep is going to did the egg cup deeper!

floralgirl said...

Well, Lolly, the plants I'm worried about are the peonies which are up much further than they normally would be, and I'm pretty sure a freeze would destroy them, so we will attempt to cover them later with floating row cover to protect them, which is always fun in 25 mph winds. We spent 2 hours last night putting up the netting that we grow them thru and hopefully we can tie the row cover to it so it doesn't blow away. Keeping my fingers crossed that the local orchards will be okay. We're really still over a month away from our last frost date.

Lolly said...

Sorry to leave such fine company, but I need to go eat a bite of breakfast. Coffee is finished.

Have a great day....I'll be back!

Linda said...

Good Monday Morning!

Hoping to not be so scarce....

Also praying for some good news about Lynn and Kay this morning.

I think God got tired of listening to me last night.....

Cold here as well this morning and we are in for a hard freeze tonight.

Many of our fruit trees have blossoms and buds, so we will cover as many as we can with sheets later this afternoon! I was so afraid this would happen with the warm spring weather we have been having.

Must get back to work, but know that I am reading what is happening here. I am enjoying your happy moments, sharing in your sorrows and always keeping you in my heart... ♥ ...and prayers!

Lolly said...

Megan....I will certainly keep my fingers crossed for your flowers, too. You certainly work hard for a success!!!

paula eagleholic said...

Thanks for the pic Lolly! Maybe they don't start incubation until the full clutch is laid.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

I really wish Elder Beerman would get back closer to Shep before he blows out of the nest.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Wow, he must have heard me.

Mema Jo said...

The oldest just crawled down and under
dad - then he poked his head out...
That was a good sight to see.
He is the explorer of the nest..

Kay said...

Good afternoon, dear Eagle Buds, special friends, prayer partners !
Thank you soooo much for the prayers, postitive thoughts and hugs galore ! I'm about 50% better today and feeling sure this has been a reaction to the cortisone as it dispersed through the bod. I'm also pretty sure a second shot will be in order, but that decision is 5 days off. Hoping to hear LYNN has also improved significantly. My prayers have been with her non-stop ! {{{{{{LYNN}}}}}}}.

JEWELS, you're in my prayers, too ! I have been in that same care taker role several times in my life and I know exactly how you feel. I also know you'll be able to see it all through with grace and strength you didn't know you had. We love you and are with you every step of the way.

That's one stiff wind for those little eaglets to sit through. Is one sheltered under him, or peeking out beneathe his sib ? I can't tell !

JudyEddy said...

Headin back to work

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Good to hear from you Kay. So grateful that you are 50% better. Any improvement is better than no improvement. Prayers it will continue.

Kay said...

Wahoo ! Thank you, JEWELS ! Momster prayers have seen your dear Momma and me through a rough patch once more ! God is great, God is good ! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Kay said...

Thank you, SHARON ! I♥U !

Linda said...

Sooooo HAPPY to hear about Lynn and Kay, both improving little by little!!!

KAY - Your spirits are up!! Let's hope your body can catch up! If so, you will be back to your ole self in no time!! Continued prayers...

LYNN - Praying you keep the food down and are really strong enough to go home. If not, another day of nursing care may be just what you need. If you do go home......STAY ON THAT COUCH!!! And that is an order!! No housework! If you have energy, remember to SAVE it!! ♥

paula eagleholic said...

Eaglet out in the nest catching some rays....look at all those fish, oh my

paula eagleholic said...

Shep is watching something...his head is looking all around....One chick under, one still in front of him...chick out of the cup did a poop shoot right into the wind a few minutes ago! It went over the edge!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

That was one fine poop shoot!

Kay said...

Just visited the candle site to relight one for our precious LYNN. Read through all the prayers and wound up with a huge lump in the throat and tears streaming down my face. I am so touched by the love conveyed there, both for LYNN and for me. Thank you dear angels !

Yes, my spirits are up and I think that's a large part of the battle. Here's hoping LYNN does keep that bit of food down so Christie can take her home. That will be the spirit lifter she needs ! Agree with LINDA---LYNN, all housework will wait til' you or one of the girls can get to it. You're only job is to rest, rest, rest and eat, eat, eat !!!

JEWELS, I hope to hear that Charlie's visit with the doctor today produced some good definitive news. Something needs to be done, and soon !

SHIRLEY, hoping to hear your dental appt. also produced a good solution !

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Costume Lady said...

Dad's lunch partner couldn't get that stringy piece down, so he pulled it back out of its mouth then gave it back...got it down OK that time...so interesting to watch how Shep is learning how to be a Dad:)
It is 56° here, near the nest, but, as you can see, still very windy~

Good Afternoon Everyone!
I've got a lot to read!
Had appt. earlier and hit a couple stores.
See it's very windy in nest. I had one of those white knuckle drives on the Beltway, so came home the long way on a regular road. Was much more comfortable!

paula eagleholic said...

LOL guess I can't spell anything today!

paula eagleholic said...

Oh Rats, Carolyn.

CarolAnne said...

Sad to say - maybe Lynn is in the best place for her right now. She might not like being in the bed - but at least she's not over doing it around the house and yard whenever her strength starts returning. God works in mysterious ways - this could be his way of helping her, help herself.

Linda said...

CAROLYN - Thank you for the update!!

Tell MOM not to be so anxious to get out of bed. If she is still giving some back, another night of rest and meds might help her, where she has round the clock nursing care??

God Bless you Both!!

Hoda said...

In comes Belle with more grasses. Shep gets off the cup...chicklet in cup. Poof Shep. Belle on railing at seven

Sandi said...

Fluff is good, but I think it's time for sticks! Build those walls up!!

Carolyn, thanks for the update on your mom. I was thinking the same thing that others have said - tell her not to hurry home! Not only will your mom have round the clock nursing care from oncology nurses, but you and Christie can relax knowing that she is being well taken care of! Please tell her that we are all thinking of her and praying for her non-stop!

paula eagleholic said...

Interesting how she is bringing in all the flugg today, when it is supposed to be below freezing tonight.

Kay said...

Had to take a little break after getting an e-mail that sent me reeling. Some of you may recall that this blog "came my way" early last year and just when I needed it most, after losing my BFF, Lois. Her daughter just informed me that Lois's oldest son, 55, died recently. Jeff went to sleep one night and just didn't wake up in the morning. Complete surprise and shock as he'd not been ill in any way. Have to be glad Lois did not live to see this happen. So sad.

Sorry to see there is a bit of a hitch in LYNN's plan to go home, but glad it happened before they'd released her. Praying for the best.

Feeling exhausted now, so will think about "what's for dinner" and napping through the news, Jeopardy, DWTS.....

Prayers for all in need ! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

NatureNut said...

Read almost all~~~Glad to see Lynn had lunch and may come home. And so glad you're feeling better Kay!Hope that doesn't happen again.

Just saw a pic on AOL News of a huge fish that washed up on SC shore. It wasn't a river monster, but a huge sturgeon!Shep would not catch that one!

Hoda said...

Belle vocalizes. Shep in with a fish. Belle takes it. Shep flies off. Small fish

Lori O. said...

Kay, so sorry about Lois' son. Only 55, what a shock. Will you be able to go to the funeral?

Lolly said...

Ran errands today, back home now. Had to get cat food and a new collar for Annie. Hmmmm...she lost her other one and tags. Think we have an old tag around here somewhere.

Then to get the car washed. While there read the blog.

Then on to Target and grosssssery store.

First I read Lynn might come home, now read where it is up in the air. But, I agree with a lot of you, as long as she is "giving it back" she should stay.

Lolly said...

Kay, very thankful you are better today, but so very sorry for the sad news you received.

Jewels said...

Mom is home.... She sounds tired but she agreed to stay on the couch and will not do any chores!! So Christie has ro run out and pick up her new medicine. Its in addition to the other meds. Well Mom brought dinner over last night with plenty of leftovers. Stuffed shells and meatballs. Yum...We also had plenty of ice cream cake left over (we celebrated Andrew's birthday a little early). So dinner was on mom two nights in a row.

Glad you are home Lynn, hope we don't have to build those rails up too high to keep you on that couch! Rest, please!!

Lolly said...

Jack and I just came in from sitting on the front patio. We chose to sit there as the back patio is in the sun and Jack burned today. Too much smoke.

Lynn, glad you are home! Read the threats the other momsters threw at you, rails around the sofa and a cam. roflmbo You better be good!

DanaMo said...

Oh and PLEASE add Steven back to your prayer list. He went into the hospital last weekend, they thought it was either heart failure or something else now I can't remember. It turns out he has bronchitis in both his lungs...(does that make sense, I have a hard time remembering these things). Last week was supposed to be his good week, no chemo.and he is suppposed to have a treatment on Wednesday this week. Now they are not sure if he will have it, probably not strong enough!
And...a little girl I had in kindergarten last year (she is in our first grade now) was born with spina bifida and has a shunt in her head. She has been feeling ill and ended up at Children's Friday the 9th. She appeared to have an infection and they ended up taking her shunt out. She is doing well but they will need to put the shunt back in and surgery is scheduled for Wednesday which means drilling another hole in hear skull (they are putting the new one on the other side of her head). So scary. I can't imagine as parents the road they have traveled with this sweet adorable little girl.

Sandi said...

Lynn, well home is where you wanted to be and that's where you are! Now, just take it VERY easy and work on building up your strength! We're all here cheering for you!

Lucky, DMo - dinner on Mom 2 nights in a row!

Kay, so sorry to hear about your friend's son dying so suddenly and at such a young age.

Jewels, any answers on Charlie?

Read on FB that Tori was taken off of oxygen as a trial and, if things went well, it could be permanent! What a miraculous journey for Robyn and Tori and their whole family!!

I should have included her name, it is Michelle.

Evening all!

Glad to see Lynn is home and praying she WILL stay put and NOT do anything!

Good to see Kay feeling halfway better too. So sorry about Lois' son. Geez, you just never know...

Along those lines..my coworker Val lost a friend on Saturday. She was only 38 with a husband and 2 young sons. She was riding her horse, a made horse, not a green one. The horse tripped when going from a trot to a canter, and she fell off and the horse fell on top of her. Her injuries were primarily to her head. The accident, I think, happened on Friday or very early Saturday. Very sad. On an interesting note, Val said she was an organ donor, and there is speculation that her heart may have gone to Dick Cheney.

Shirley, beautiful story about singing to your babies! And about the Brown Creepers!

We had another egg laid by the bluebirds this morning! Just checked on the nest, creeped up really slow and from the side so as to see if momma was sitting. But she isn't. Hope she sits on the eggs tonight...going to be so cold.

OH My for sure Prayers for Steven and Michelle DANAMO.

LYNNE 2 so sorry for the loss of Val's friend. Giving the gift of life is an amazing thing regardless of who it went to I would say...just as valuable for an ordinary person...surious though I never thought a woman's heart could be donated to a man and visa versa...why not I ask myself now my ignorance to have thought gender specific when it comes to organ donation.
