Thank you, Steve, for the new thread and to Margy for the call over!
Well, I'm going to pack up the netbook and head out to see my three-legged grandcat. Andrea says she is resting and doing well and Andrea sounds good, too. Can't wait to see them all.
Everyone have a blessed day and I'll check back later.
Hello and Thank you Steve for the fresh Sat thread. Hope you are enjoying your snow free weekend (so far)
Hi Margy! Guess the others will follow shortly. Just finished lunch and need to get the 'street' (not sheet) clothes on - Hoping to go to Mass this evening.
MARGY, thanks for the call over! Happy to hear that Fred is home! STEVE, thanks for the new thread! WANDA, great to hear that you're doing so well, though I'm not at all surprised. Without even meeting you, I can tell you are a force to reckon with! LYNN, glad you got such a good night's sleep and that the potassium doesn't taste too bad! SUSAN, you are so right that, as long as they live at home, we can't stop worrying about our kids! Wish my 28-year old would find his niche (and his own place to live)! I love him and don't think I'd ever be able to kick him out, but ... DMO, I'm off to Facebook to watch the St. Mary's 8th grade flash mob! There's a lot of choreography to learn with that song - can't wait to see how the kids did!
Repeating....decks are blown off, and it is a RAW 39° out there. Will be heading down to build the fire very soon.
WVsUSAn, sorry you also have to deal with a sad situation. Sandi, even when they leave home, we still worry about our kids.....but at least it is with a little more perspective from a distance.
Christie and Shannon and friends did get in some snow tubing last evening--on man-made snow. Maybe tonight they'll have the real thing! Western MD will surely get it even if ours is rain. Now I just have to worry about their safe travels home tomorrow!! SEE????
Oh well, another reason to put off cleaning the bathrooms! LYNN, you're right, of course, but when they're under your roof, they're constantly in your radar!
Happy Chilly Saturday! Thx, Steve, for new thread. As usual, I konked in lounge chair last night, but checked the nest about 1:30AM & it was MT. Been outside w/Fubby who is waiting for a new old car delivery. Noticed in front of azaleas my small patch of Snowdrops has flower buds!!!!!!Hooray!! (I'm supposed to bring the camera!) BBL
Just had a gentleman?, here at the house, ask if we needed any trees cut down (we do have many). Said he would cut them ALL down and stack for firewood for $1,000. Well, we had an estimate a while back for just one huge oak at the same price. Radar went off in our heads! Then, when he said he needed $300 up front, before he went to get his equipment...NO DEAL. So many scams out there, these days...need to be extra careful.
Well, Dana's Flash Mob was very entertaining. You could see that the kids were having a blast! Loved it. Dana has many videos and one is of her boys called It's Friday - those kids have rhythm! Thanks Dana ♥
Got home for lunch and there is amessage from the Vet checking on my two new adoptees I called back got answereing service told her they slept with me last nite and are doing fine ok back to reading Both cats were alseep in my bedroom umder bed when I came home for lunch
LINDA, I hoped you'd have a peaceful, stress free 2012, but see there is more family heartache. Others have given you much good advice so I'll not add to it. I will, however, pray with all my might for your brother and the strength you all need !
Hmmm, wonder if Norfolk Daddy is being very wise. Let both ladies vie for him, first one laying an egg stays and the other gets the boot ? LOL ♫♫"torn between two lovers♪♫♪ ! Reminds me of my childhood in a close knit church. As soon as an ol' feller became a widower many of the ol' gals would descend upon him as if he was God's gift to women ! Sorta like vultures zeroing in on roadkill within moments ! ☺
MARGY, thrilled to hear Fred is now home and getting some good food. He will heal much faster now !
WANDA, your PT routine sounds much like mine. Not a lot of fun all alone, but I'm betting Gene will make it interesting for you ! So glad you're doing well !
LINDA hope thing work out for your brother My son had issues and he had to do it on his own and he did and he is doing so good now It was hard he had to make up his own mind and clean up his own act Between me and Angies harping on him over the years he keep denying it then all of a sudden he did it him self He locked himself in his room for three weeks went through withdrawals and the whole 9 yards He was on prescription meds he had gotten from a pain mgmt clinci A bunch of QUACKS I do wish him luck and I know were you are coming from
KAY - I am not looking at this as a 2012 set back at all, unless he ends up killing himself (horrible to say). Whatever happens....happens, where Bobby is concerned.
It breaks my heart to hear these things, but I won't get tangled in any of that mess. I did for the sake of my mother over the last 8 years, trying to protect her, but to no avail.
She has passed now and as far as I am concerned, Bobby has to do this on his own.
Thanks for the prayers for him. Sometimes I wonder if God has hardened his heart because He has called him and offered him mercy and grace so many times and Bobby has looked in the face of God and said NO!!
Latest forecast is pretty much the same... rain, no snow accumulation today or tomorrow morning, but there could be up to 1" of snow tonight at the nest.
Lori, did you get the bullie video I sent you in email?
BTW---thanks for the continuing stream of sweet, inspiring and caring cards that you gals send!! They sure brighten my days. BUT I am not hiking out to the mailbox today!!
Yes, I did, Lynn! Thank you! Forgive my CRS! Very funny video, reminded of both FBear and Dalai. He loves to sit on anything that a human sits on, and she recognizes animals on TV and that's all she watches...kind of like Leisl recognizing the Beggin' Strips. Bullies aren't all as slow as they look...but they are funny, that's for sure! Dalai is more OCD like the famous one who surfs and skateboards. Oh gosh, you got me ramblin' about my kids! :)
I sure hate the Timeline page stuff, tho'....it takes forever to get the pages to open and settle down in ONE place. What a pain it is to find or post something on them. Glad mine hasn't changed!
Oh no...don't think I will be able to go to church if it keeps this up:( Mel said I could go to churh if there was no snow or sleet...I guess we'll just wait and see. It is 36° right now and going down to 34° tonight~
Well What a confusion my first interaction with a person in Nelson today!!! I was walking towards yoga and this teen aged girl and her dog walked towards me. She had him on a leash. I said good morning and she answered and the dog growled and it bit me!!! I had not even stopped...the girl hit the dog and cried and I checked my leg and it was bleeding and my pants have been torn with dog teeth punctures and she was " SORRY AI AM SO VERY SORRY" and was going to hit it again. I raised my voice and said STOP!!! Both stopped and looked up at me...I wanted to know if the dog had its shots. It had a colour with a tag and it looked healthy and well looked after and the girl was distraught and I had to calm her down...yet I was thinking I am the one who got bitten!!!Yet I am also the adult...She assured me the dog had never done such a thing before and I asked that when someone is coming the other side she pulls in on the leash a bit...I think he got confused by my trekking poles and so me as a threat...any way I walked on to yoga and they got very upset there and wanted me to have gotten her name and phone number and to phone and report the dog to the by-law officers. A dog is allowed one free bite in Canada and then they put them down...OH MY do you see why it was such a confusing start interaction. I am fine...they did medical first aid at the yoga studio and I had a good practice and I am so sad that the dog got hit and that the teenage girl was crying in fear...it is not good for either one of them to be so afraid...
SHIRLEY and LYNN wise words about LINDA'S brother. PRAYERS that he may heal and that the other brother is protected from the first ones pain and disregard to family relations.
collar and saw spelling corrections from my post about the dog.
WANDA and the CAPTAIN, very wise to be careful with the chap who offered to cut trees for such an unreasonably small amount and then ask for money up front...mind yoiu a thousand dollars is a lot of money but from your post I understood that it was a low amount for the task at hand from previous quotes...
I am glad Belle is not in the nest trying to lay an egg or protect one from snow...
There is a concert tonight with singing the NAMES of GOD and it is 6 miles out of Nelson yet I would still like to go...I have not been able to arrange a car pool so I am thinking I would drive myself out there.
Oh Hoda, I hope you got the girl's name and phone number. I think to be safe you have to report the bite to the authorities, for your sake. If the dog has rabies-----well you probably know what could happen to you.
Afternoon all - which I could share my beautiful winter day with you. Only a packed inch or two on ground, very blue skies, no breeze - we've taken a couple walks thru the woods today - its just gorgeous out.
HODA -- how awful - and how wonderful for your reaction. Realising you're the adult and comforting the girl. Hope there are no complications for you.
For those of you on facebook, are you aware of this: With the new FB timeline on its way this week for EVERYONE, please do those in your friends etc. list a favor. Hover over each of their names . In a few seconds you'll see a box that says : "Subscribed". Hover over that, then go to "comments and likes" and UNCLICK it. That will stop your posts and theirs to you from showing up on the bar side for everyone to see, but most importantly, it limits hackers from invading your profiles.
This will be the perfect snow, small amount, not a lot of problems on the road...hopefully.
CA, do you hover over and click on Subscribed...then unclick on comments and likes? I'm not a FB regular, but would like to take the action you recommend.
HODA, I LOVE YOU! Thank you for being you and being upset at your bite AND knowing what to do when she hit the dog and both were crying. A big hug...really big. I hope it's not sore tomorrow. Peroxide, lots of peroxide and Neosporin.
Nest looks pretty with the snow but, like someone said, I'm glad belle isn't sitting in the snow laying or brooding an egg! With the nest being in a deciduous tree, Belle and Shep are a lot more exposed to the elements than eagles that nest in evergreen trees! I HAVE heard clunking near the cam several times, so I think one or both have been close to the nest throughout the day, even though we haven't seen them.
Bathrooms are clean and the upstairs is dusted and vacuumed. 4 loads of laundry done. Now to make a list and head to the grocery store! BBL.
LORI I have peroxide and neosporin and also epsom salts to soak my leg. Anyone of us would have done the same...teenagers seem so very young and so very vulnerable to me and I am not able to tolerate a dog being hit...my school teacher voice is still with me nine years later...I almost got my own attention, like in I almost jumped, I was not expecting it to sound so strong when I raised my voice!!!LOL!!! Thanks CAROLANNE.
Lori, yes - however I'm not sure if you can do it from your list or if you have to post it to the person to get their name "active" so you can hover over it.
I have a small (famiy mostly) list and had recent posts from all of them so I was able to hover over each name and do it that way.
Oh, Hoda....what a dreadful incident. You were gracious and kind, and thank you for stopping her from hitting the dog any further. But, yes, you should have gotten information so that you could VERIFY that the dog was vaccinated. And I do think you should go to the ER. With the total uncertainty, they may want to take preventative measures. I hope that the wound was WELL flushed with soap and water. AT LEAST call your dr. if you can reach him/her.....if not, PLEASE go to the hospital.
NOT peroxide! It damages healthy tissue around the wound. SOAP and WATER. Epsom salts will be good, and the Neosporin/Bacitracin ointment...but I still advise professional attention.
It was cleaned very well at the yoga studio LYNN and I stopped at the pharmacy and the pharmacist had a good look at it and said it did not get inot muscle tissue and he suggested the epsom salts. The girl was too afraid, and frankly I did not think to aks her name or phone number...why are there people in the world who are so very afraid? I am fine really. The pharmacist said if I get any redness to go see the doctor tomorrow right away...I am confident I will be fine...I am trying to remember the lessons of darning so I can darn my pants leg...I use these pants so often for yoga and I am comfortable in them...
Wow! Just opened the nest & Snow Flakes! Phil, the groundhog, must have been right! We had sprinkles here, but I got all my yard work finished.Had to cut back butterfly bush for one!
Almost forgot about Super Bowl~~not crazy about either team, so haven't planned a festive meal! ☺ Think I'll go w/the underdogs--NE always wins.
PAULA Her Majesty is going to address the Commonwealth on Monday. It is the actual date of her Father's Death...King George VI.
My mind just did not think to ask the questions or get the information about the dog, more than I know it has had its shots...Up to date I did not know of such a thing. If I phoen the by-law officers now it would be useless as I do not have much to tell them by way of numbers or specifics...I trusted then and will continue to trust now
HODA, so sorry to hear about the dog bite!! It's easy for us to say what we think you should have done but it's all moot. You didn't get any info on the girl or the dog and you can't get it now. Hindsight is 20-20! So now you just have to keep an eye on the wound and get to a doctor if it starts to look infected. OK, NOW I'm off to the grocery store!
Thanks for the link, Hoda. It doesn't show Belle's head, but I don't need proof. I was just asking because I have not seen her in this kind of light. I totally trust the wisdom here!!
Hoda I thought I remembered her coronation, but it must have been the wedding. I don't think we had a television 60 years ago. Sorry I jumped on you aboutthe dog bite. You will keep it clean and an EAGLE eye on it. The dog was probably startled and the girl too. I remember our generally sweet Lucifer nipped the legs of our next door neighbor plumber who came over to unfreeze our pipes , for free, one Christmas morning.
LYNNE 1 Her Majesty was married to Prince Phillip before her coronation. I remeber seeing it on reels in the movie theatre. She was in Kenya when King George the VI died a week after he saw her off at the airport. It was the last time she saw her father alive...So maybe you saw her coronation in the theatre too, movie reels seem grainy now but not then...
WhooHoo, a visit that I missed, of course! And HP, too? Cool.
Lynne2---hope the fish is big enough for a good meal for you!
Dinner is smelling good, but I had to wait awhile on putting the chicken in since the yam was so big. So it will be a little while yet. Added some sour cream and peach salsa on top of the chicken, so I sure hope it tastes good!
LYNN dinner sounds GREAT at your house...The chicken will be just delicious I am sure, what creative thinking with its cooking...how long do you let it cook?
oh look at the nest. Well at least we still had a visit. They needed to stay longer and clear it out.
Hoda-the FB change is going to happen for everyone. Change happens. I have heard people complain and talk about leaving, but they are still there. You will get used to it. I changed mine weeks ago.
Thanks for the compliments on the flash mob. They did do a good job, Sandi, I'm sure they are fun, but kinder is "funner" There is NO WAY I could deal with middle school.
Thanks Paula for letting everyone know that the "trick" doesn't do what everyone thinks. That information has been out for months but is bogus. Set your settings to Friends only and you will be fine.
I tried to load the flash mob to my picture blog and it won't take it. I guess it's too long, but I really can't cut it down any further, without cutting out some of the dancing.
okay I gave up on blogger and I'm trying to upload to picasa and I will have a link on my pic blog for all you Non-Facebookers (Kay☺). I'm not sure who else, but I know Kay doesn't "facebook".
Well, Hoda.....dinner was good, but... the yam was not quite done, after 2hours!!!! It must have been SUPER solid. So jsut ate the outer edges---and the pumpkin butter was so good and there was enough sweetness that I didn't need brown sugar. AND it slid right ut of the foil onto the floor before I got it to the counter---that sweet and slippery. Got it before Liesl could touch it...and rinsed it off, but now have a spot to clean on the carpet. The chicken was VERY good. The breast was a forzen, boneless one, so I put it in the oven frozen and wrapped in foil for 40 mins.
Home from grocery shopping, now to fix something for dinner. Bought Marie Calandar pot pies to microwave for dinner - I LOVE those things!! LORETTA, hubby has expensive toys! LYNNE2, my dad was big on fishing and brought home yellow perch all the time! But Mom just fried them and all I can remember about them was bones! I didn't mind the taste, but geez, by the time I picked all the bones out, there wasn't much left to eat! CAROLANNE, sad about the trees being thinned but the big one they didn't touch is a beauty! JO, all rain in the forecast for here; Blackwater should be the same. LYNN, thanks so much for the emails; I'm going to forward them to my sister in Balto. and ask her to go with Mom to her next dr. appointment. I'm sure LOLLY is enjoying her company this weekend! DANAWV, I heard 50 inches of snow in parts of Colorado!! How much where your daughter lives? Later friends!
Oh, DanaMo, I see Hoda just told you. Link didn't work for me either. Sorry, I know you've been working on it for a while. I'll say a big URGH for you! :)
HODA so sorry about the dog and I would report it also Have you seen her before She should have given you all the info on the spot maybe I should read on I have been playing with the new cats they are a hoot I bout a bag of misc cat toys and they are having a blast Benny or Ben is acting like a little kitten with the stuff so cute I am having a issue with my rug in the kitchen need to buy some carpet sticky grip for under it the keep bunching it up and then go under it like a tent so funny OK I will go back to reading BBL
OMG, Lynne2! Those Sycamore trees are so beautiful. What a creative angle and thought to get the blue, blue sky. GORGEOUS! Thank you - I may have to copy those when I finally get my tree blog up.
Sorry about your bite Hoda. I think you probably should have gotten more information. I had a friend who got bit and had to go through the whole rabies series. It was awful. Now, she did know that the dogs rabies vaccination was not up to date, but it was just someone in her neighborhood and they kept forgetting to go and take care of it with the vet. Caused a lot of pain for my friend and her dog (he was attacked too, poor baby is a 3 legged rescue). They are both fine now, but it was a big deal about a month or so ago.
Yes I do beleive I have seen her before with the dog.Not often but she seemed like a really decent but frightened young teenager...Since It is too late now I will simply watch sympotoms and talk to my docotr tomorrow if there is an infection and maybe even make an appointment for her to look at it so she could tell me I am doing the right thing. I hope no shots for me...It is all good you all...I am fine and LYNN said soap and water not peroxide and I have done so and used alcohol and neosporin...
I will go to a concert tonight...I am pleased and excited about it.
Good evening everybody. I am in Scott Depot visiting with my boy. Becky, Mattie and Justin are with me. I am on my new computer! Whoohoo!!
Nila was doing good today before I left. Becky called to talk with Joe's wife Donna and Joe answered the phone. He is doing so good. His voice was really strong. God is good all the time.
I see there is snow in the nest which makes me really grateful there is no egg yet.

The flash mob video WAS on Dana's FB page, but I don't see it now.
Sounds like someone on the cam... hope so!

Raining.....
Loved the flash mob video, Dana.
Good afternoon everyone. I see an MT nest and no egg.
Has Belle changed her mind? Maybe Shep hasn't learned enough to suit her and she doesn't what to deopardize any youngins.
Haven't read far, so off to try to catch up.
Thank you Steve.
Enjoyed the Belle and Shep visit comments and pics. Hoped to see them now, but think I hear raindrops on the cam.
LYNN, hope you'll stay in for the rest of the day, all cozy and warm with a lot of Liesl snuggling !
Time for those exercises here at Kay's Kasa ! BBL ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

ANOTHER CLUNK....
Watching the AKC-Eukanuba dog show. Love it!
Oh-oh---looks like there might be sleet mixing in now. 35°.
LYNN, thanks for the dog show TV tip. I just turned it on. Love it!
Yikes, Wanda. Yep, a scam for sure! And, of course, always ask for proof of insurance!!!
Dare I say it???? S--W now. ARGH.
Lori, did you get the bullie video I sent you in email?
BTW---thanks for the continuing stream of sweet, inspiring and caring cards that you gals send!! They sure brighten my days. BUT I am not hiking out to the mailbox today!!
Sent Chris a text to ask if it's snowing at Deep Creek or wherever they are. No answer yet.
She just answered with an enthusiastic YES!!
Yes, I did, Lynn! Thank you!
Forgive my CRS! Very
funny video, reminded of both FBear and Dalai.

Loved Dana's Flash "DANCE."
I sure hate the Timeline page stuff, tho'....it takes forever to get the pages to open and settle down in ONE place. What a pain it is to find or post something on them. Glad mine hasn't changed!
Sleet or some element falling at the nest now.
Had to laugh at the Leonberger breed in the dog show. That's a new one to me!
All dogs have their quirks and cutenesses, Lori! Can't say their is any breed I don't like something about. And they are all so smart!
LOL! I refresh my FB page and there's a post from Shannon 30 mins. ago that it is snowing there!!
Oh, goody, Found a chicken breast in the freezer. That will go okay with a yam. I need PROTEIN!
Lori, I think I read yesterday that 5 "new" breeds have been accepted by AKC. The Leon is probably one of them.
Snowing here. Glad it's not colder or it would stick.
such a precise view of those flying snowflakes at the nest...looks neat....
mostly rain in Martinsburg, maybe a little mix of something in with it
those flakes might even start bouncing on that nest
See the snow at the nest....oh and our rain has changed to snow, just like Lori said!
BWE eagle incubating as pretty as you please...can you believe they will have chicks in 2 weeks!!!
Hi,
I see the snow coming down on our nest. Time to make a fire in the fireplace here.
Oh no...don't think I will be able to go to church if it keeps this up:( Mel said I could go to churh if there was no snow or sleet...I guess we'll just wait and see. It is 36° right now and going down to 34° tonight~
it's like make-believe watching the nest from here at work...
Anyone heading out, where the weather is squirrelly.....
be careful
I'm leaving soon

(( Hugs ♥)) to those I SEE and those I don't
SO many deserving dogs, but there can only be one winner. Standard Poodle. I really liked the German Shepherd. :(
See how big the flakes are at the nest? It has settled into smaller ones here, and it is laying. UGH. DID YOU KNOW that I HATE snow?
Liesl has had a good workout with her ball. Think I tuckered her out.
I need a cup of tea.
Snow in the nest.
33° here now.
collar and saw spelling corrections from my post about the dog.
Good Lord LYNN it is colder your way than it is here...We are sitting 41 degrees F.
The flakes there look large and we say here The Bigger The Flake The Smaller The Batch...so maybe it will not amount to much snow in your area...
BIG CLUNK
CLUNK and camera shakes.
I heard clunking.
Oh, Lynn...........
Did I tell you I LOVE SNOW!!
BBL.
HODA - I do hope you are okay and that the dog is up to date on his shots. You were so kind to the young teen.
LYNNE 1 It is all good.
Snow is laying on EVERYTHING now, even the wet driveway.
Yam is in the oven, and think I'll go to the sofa and watcha recorded show before I put in the chicken.
What if I do not want the new facebook look? I do not like it!!! Do I still have to have it CAROLANNE?
Oh, Hoda....what a dreadful incident. You were gracious and kind, and thank you for stopping her from hitting the dog any further. But, yes, you should have gotten information so that you could VERIFY that the dog was vaccinated. And I do think you should go to the ER. With the total uncertainty, they may want to take preventative measures. I hope that the wound was WELL flushed with soap and water. AT LEAST call your dr. if you can reach him/her.....if not, PLEASE go to the hospital.
YAM in the oven what a delicious supper you will have LYNN...enjoy.
I think Frederick has more snow on the ground than home....roads are just wet...and it's 36° here
CA, that doesn't do what everyone thinks it does on FB...
Paula, everything is pretty white here. Glad you got home safely. Cookies for Nick!
Still Cam is Wonky and not clearing up with the refresh
Let's hope that clears up and both cameras stay working.....
Hoda, I am sorry about the mishap...be careful...
(( Healing Hugs ♥ ))
HODA - I don't think we have a choice. I believe it is one of those things they have decided we HAVE to have.
Hoda, so was the dog up to date on the shots? And yes, you should have gotten her name, and requested a copy of the up to date vaccinations.
things looking rather psychedelic on the still cam :(
PAULA - can you explain? What does it do?
And in that instance, I think I would have reported the dog bite...
RE: FACEBOOK
Found this info that might explain it: http://www.jonloomer.com/2011/09/23/facebook-scare-uncheck-comments-and-likes-2/
Sorry if I confused things.
Here's an article about what CarolAnne posted...if you want privacy, change your setting to "friends only"
FB ticker and hover
Hoping that Jewels, pulling the night shift, has safe travels going and coming back in the morning....
Hi Jewels if you see this at work ☺ ♥ xoxo
I think the Still Cam is toast for the night...
and no Moonshine of course
Have a Good Safe Warm Evening, Eagle Pals....
ttfn xoxo
Please indulge me!!! Monday it is 60 years Her Majesty has been on the throne...GOD SAVE THE QUEEN
QUEEN ELIZABETH
HaHa, I just had to wait a few minutes...ground totally white here now!
I heard that on the news today, and earlier as well. Diamond Jubilee for the Queen...but I heard the 60 years was today!...or maybe I heard it wrong!
Oh, Hoda, so sorry about your sad dog encounter! Hope you will be OK soon. You were very kind to owner and dog. Sure hope it's up on it's shots.
Margy, hurray for Fred!!
Might put Fubby's new/old toy on Blogspot.
CLUNK..
I see the nest is getting whiter and whiter. And I hear clunks.
Just ready to head out the door but there's another clunk near the cam!!
NEST IS MOVING AND LOTS OF CLUNKING....
PAULA Her Majesty is going to address the Commonwealth on Monday. It is the actual date of her Father's Death...King George VI.
My mind just did not think to ask the questions or get the information about the dog, more than I know it has had its shots...Up to date I did not know of such a thing. If I phoen the by-law officers now it would be useless as I do not have much to tell them by way of numbers or specifics...I trusted then and will continue to trust now
CLUNK
yep, somethings in the attic!
Maybe they are just teasing us today!
Cute, PAULA!!
Eag;e - Not ours.....
EAGLEs and HP!!!
big jerky movement
Eagles in the nest...Belle and now shep
HP...quick one
2 eagles in the nest
HP
Eagles
What is this on top of BELLE's head???
HP right away
That isn't Belle, right?
POOF
Well THAT was a short visit!!
Back not on top of Belle's head.
SHEP POOFS first and now POOFS BELLE.
Poof and poof.
Off he goes...that was a wham bam thank you ma'am....and there she goes.
Linda, the dirty spots on her head are still there, they show up pretty good in this light.
Wasn't quick enough to catch them in the act on video!
I would like to see a replay of that one. I wasn't sure it was Belle....
Stuff on the head, back of head and tail feathers looked kind of dark, too.
Either she got into something or that wasn't Belle.
I wanted to catch them against the snow but they were gone before I could hit the print screen button!
LINDA I think it is BELLE and her back of head was smudged...it was not the intruder eagle we saw in the nest last time...
Where did she get dirty spots on her head? Was it from yesterday's topple during HP?
Okay, relieved to hear that....
LINDA she has had these smudges for a while now since the deer leg in nest scenarion.
Also, the dirty spots show up more when she is wet.
Definitely not the intruder we saw before. I thought maybe the smudges on Belle's head show better in contrast to the whiteness of the snow.
Thank you for the clarification!!
Hoda, it was from way before the deer leg...
I still see them in the early morning and late evening night as well.
LINDA here are captions and her tail feathers are not smudged...
Hancock Site BELLE AND SHEP VISIT TONIGHT
HODA, so sorry to hear about the dog bite!! It's easy for us to say what we think you should have done but it's all moot. You didn't get any info on the girl or the dog and you can't get it now. Hindsight is 20-20! So now you just have to keep an eye on the wound and get to a doctor if it starts to look infected. OK, NOW I'm off to the grocery store!
Oh boy Still cam has straightened out...
maybe the HP did it...☺
Home again Home again.
Snow is really coming down. Roadway is slushy.
Hope if anyone goes out they are under God's protection.
Pretty blue color!
Put some toy pics in the Nook!!
Gotta check on din din.
Nest is really pretty---glad no one is really using it yet!
Wow WEE BLUE SNOW IN NEST lol Okay was it Red that went and sprayed it blue?????
Thanks for the link, Hoda. It doesn't show Belle's head, but I don't need proof. I was just asking because I have not seen her in this kind of light. I totally trust the wisdom here!!
IrishEyes at Hancock--good work. She got pics of the quickie visit.
Thanks PAULA, before the deer leg scenario...
Great Hancock pictures! THX I had missed them- :>(
Nice pictures, Loretta.
More pictures posted on the Hancock site by Irish Eyes/Bev and Deb and LORI I think...same link click on last page.
hello all! I'm home, and a nasty drive it was....snowing like mad, but not sticking to the roads. Just poor visibility.
Linda ((((HUGS)))
oh Hoda, I'm so sorry you got bitten! You were so compassionate to the young girl despite it!
Darn, I'm watching "My Cat from Hell" and I missed our eagles from heaven!
Steve is bringing home a Bass! At least one! YUMMMY! Crazy man is still fishing in the snow!
OH I see snow I hope Belle hold off OH NO
Night Light....
oh, the came just went from blue to normal
Thanks, Lynne2 ♥
LYNNE 1 Her Majesty was married to Prince Phillip before her coronation. I remeber seeing it on reels in the movie theatre. She was in Kenya when King George the VI died a week after he saw her off at the airport. It was the last time she saw her father alive...So maybe you saw her coronation in the theatre too, movie reels seem grainy now but not then...
Carolyn made it to work safely, Margy. Got there at 5:30! Said roads were slushy, and traffic was light. Hope the idiots all stay in!!
Car looks fantastic, Lowreeda!! Is that mint or restored?
Who let the SNOW fall ?
I had such a sound comfy nap with my feet up that I bet I've missed all your
concerns about egg laying!
Did not go to Mass but prayers were said. Just getting ready for dinner as soon as hubby returns.
Hope all is well ...
Mass in the morning for me because we are lectors. Wish I could have gone tonight, but it's cold. I do not like the cold. Boo Hoo!
okay I gave up on blogger and I'm trying to upload to picasa and I will have a link on my pic blog for all you Non-Facebookers (Kay☺). I'm not sure who else, but I know Kay doesn't "facebook".
I see Capt Father Gene will be helping the Tiger Lady with PT this weekend. Hmmmm....is THAT what they are calling it these days? ;)
I need to go feed animals. Steve is on his way home with his bass and a big yellow perch!
Loretta, Frank's new toy is one beautiful set of wheels!
Lynne2-very funny!
BWE Beautiful Tenting being done by the
adult over the 2 eggs. Looks like rain
down there.
Sounds Delicous LYNN...Sorry the yam was not as tender as you would have liked...
okay, let me know if the link works. I posted the link to danamo pics.
Precip has stopped, but more on tap overnight. We got about 3/4' of the white stuff so far.
Looks like Liesl cleaned up the carpet just fine! Will see in the morning. Of course I got a hot, wet wrag to it right off the bat.
Back to some shows. BBL.
DANAMO, It says, " Sorry that page is not found" when I clicked on the link to the flash mob.
Thanks Hoda. I was afraid it wasn't going to work. Dang.
See if it works now Hoda. I had to change a setting. Thanks
Oh, DanaMo, I see Hoda just told you. Link didn't work for me either. Sorry, I know you've been working on it for a while. I'll say a big URGH for you! :)
I think I fixed it.
It works now DMo! Cool, and great music! Village Peeps, and I loved those drums at the end - jungle like. AWESOME quality video, too!
Should have said how cute the kids are, too! lol.
Hey Lori, did you check out my newest blog pics? Took a couple of them justf or you!
OMG, Lynne2! Those Sycamore trees are so beautiful. What a creative angle and thought to get the blue, blue sky. GORGEOUS! Thank you - I may have to copy those when I finally get my tree blog up.
Oh good, because I was ready to give it up! LOL!
Sandi, Steve has a great way to filet the fish so he gets maximum (although not quite all) of the meat and no bones!
Help yourself Lori! When I looked up and saw them against the sky, I thought of you and took the pictures!
The link works now DANAMO.
Thx, DanaMo. Video is GREAT! (I don't do facebook)
I will read the blog in a little bit. Going to visit everybody for a while. Love you all!!
Good news, Sharon--about Joe & lots of family w/you AND New 'puter!!! Yahoo!!
