Just a quick post in case anyone didn't post that Tori is in surgery this morning getting closed up, which seems to be good news in that it is another step forward!!
It is on Robyn's FB page. Prayers continue for healing.
Good Morning, ALL! Guess a lot of you have left for work, but it's only 7:40 here - prayers for a good day for you who need them. I was reading back and saw this from Dana - THANKS, Dana! wvgal_dana said...

Yes, Mema Jo. I am feeling better, the eyes are still healing and improving day by day.

Hi all. Don't know if you remember me or now. I was around some last year but got busy. So excited to see some action on the nest this year. I've been watching for a couple weeks now.
What is the story with the male's name? Last year, it had become Rudy (from intruder to trudy to rudy). Now I see him being referred to Ben and Shep. Just curious.
We did make it on our Alaska trip last summer and I did get to see several eagles! As well as some other amazing wild life. I got a couple good photos but not amazing (of eagles anyway). Recommend the trip to ANYONE - and make sure to take a boat tour out of Seward!
We finally took a vote on the Eaglet Momsters group to name the male eagle since it was obvious he was staying for the mating season with Belle and she seemed to be accepting him. The voted name was Shep for Shepherdstown and for a good Shepherd.

We are happy with Shep and respect that others want to call him something else.
Linda, respiratory therapy will be next, but I'm sure that some physical therapy is in short order, too. All this time laying, her muscles have deteriorated and she will need some intensive therapy to regain her legs, strength, stamina, etc. Some PT will also be involved in the RT because those chest muscles also need stetching and strengthening.
I know there was talk over the weekend of a possible trach this week so they can get the tube out of her throat. I know TOri would be less agitated if that could be accomplished. I know my SIL settled down a lot after they did that.
I should have thought of that after all I went through with my Mom on a respirator and not moving for less than two weeks.
I hate the thought of a trach, but if it helps her off the vent and allows her to make the next step, then so be it. At least we know it will be temporary. I do know some people don't do well weaning off a vent with that huge tibe down your throat. Ugh......poor baby!
Thanks Linda. I kind figured Shep was for Shepherdstown (once I thought about it). My older son is Ben so I might be partial to that :D But I will refer to him as Shep while here. Heck, maybe I'll come up with a fourth name to through around! Just kidding....
I find it so amazing that he instinctively knows what to do. I remember being a parent for the first time and how clueless I was!
Does anyone know anything technical about the actual webcam? The make or model? Is there any kind of fund to keep it running (or upgrade it during the "off" season)? The one at Norfolk seems to have so much better resolution. But I like the angle of this one better (seeing down into the nest).
GOOD MORNING... Thought I would come in the door, while I can, and say "present and accounted for". I've been having problems getting on the blog and nest cam, not to mention, facebook. Get so tired of trying that I have to lie down and take a nap:) I was so pleased, as were you all, to have Shep bring in food. He has fulfilled his duties so far, so, I feel certain that he will be a good daddy!
Therapist will be here in an hour, so I need to bathe and dress. Have fun watching our nest. BBL
MICHELE, Steve once told us that a camera like NBG would cost far more than we can afford. I once questioned, as you did, if we could start a fund to get a better, more efficient camera (when everyone was so dissatisfied with what we had), but had no feedback, so I dropped it. IT IS A GOOD THOUGHT! If everyone who watches and cares about this nest would contribute, say, $5.00, that would amount to a good deal of money. Whatever...
JIM----can't believe you didn't see all the chatter Sunday evening about the Egg!!! Belle laid it right after 5:30pm eastern.!!!! It was very fast----but she had been preparing all day with LOTS of flugg brought in!! There is a long video on Hancock of the event.
Michelle...also, it is the Friends of NCTC who finance the cam. I think they work off dues. But we Momsters have donated money from our raffles to them, designated for the cam......apparently hasn't done much good for technological advancement.
LORI - It wasn't until dinner time that I actually started feeling human again yesterday.........only to wake up with another one today.
Today it isn't quite as bad.
I would call these "pre-migraines" in my lack of medical knowledge. If I catch them early enough and take the medication that isn't so heavy duty, I can function through the day, although not too well.
The heavy duty triptan drugs have really bad side effects for me. I have to be totally bed-ridden and unable to pick my head up to take those.
Probably more than you needed to know! Thank you for asking!
Decided that I was going to eat WHATEVER I want today---consquences be darned. Breakfast was okay--Jimmy Dean Croissanwich (egg, sausage, cheese). Just had a Jose' Ole' Chimichanga with sour cream and taco sauce for lunch.....wish me luck!!!
I am feeling human today, thanks, gals. Hope it continues! Still a hermit, tho'----look like a train wreck! Thankfully the apptmt I thought I had today isn't for 3 weeks---whew!!! And since I cancelled the ortho for Th., tomorrow is the only apptmt. day. Of course, the forecast is for snow. SIL Charlie will take me. Bloodwork, lunch and then oncologist.
Linda, so sorry about your migraines. My Mom and Sis and daughter Christie and SIL Charlie did/do get them like that. At 93, Mom has been free of them for many years. Sis rarely gets them now. Christie only occasionally. And I think even Charlie's are better since they discovered his low testesterone and got him on that med.
Hi, Eagle Buds ! Doing a quick check in after catching up on posts and before dressing for MRI appt..
Happy things:

Will check back in later in the day. Meanwhile y'all have a good one ! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Great new on TORI being put closed up that is fantastic
Sharon, I saw the cottage but where is it located. Could you take animals..?
Lynn - great to hear what you are able to eat and I just hope it stays down! You probably need to regain some of your strength! Are you and Liesl good for a nap this afternoon? Kristen was describing an outfit that she got for Sophia and said that she loves Dachshunds. They are on her shirt and she has barrettes -I think I know who needs to make a visit to you and Liesl. Donavon will turn 3 in March. He called Kristen and said "Meme - I have binoculars - I saw a red tailed hawk - That means I am a bird watcher now!" lol They want to come in April and are hoping that Lynn is going to make egg salad and salsa dip for them - and their mema. Love ya Lynn! ♥
HI MicheleB great news you saw eagles in Alaska did you put pic on the blog for us to see
I would give more that 5 if we could get a new cam with a night light when the moon is gone we have pitch black nest not good for watching Maybe Steve will read these comments HINT HINT we will pay a donation of sort
I will relay the message to Angie about the Bday wishes I will log on when I go there also she will see on face book WVGalDana sent me a card Email and I forwarded it to her Thanks to all of you now I have to go back to work not quite caught up I am at the 1 mark
I am taking a quick peek, too. Have been to the doctors and the hospital, came home for lunch, now back out to get prescriptions filled. Tomorrow will be the best day of the week...only a late appointment and that is pure indulgence...getting my hair fixed!
I see that Shep is doing his share of egg sitting. Good on Shep!
I am off again...hope this does not take too long. Want to get home and do my walking.
LYNN - Thank you for the comment about the migraines ♥ Just one of those things in my life I have gotten used to. It could be worse.... as they say. I just don't like it when they hit me on days I HAVE to get things done.
That is probably why I get anxious when I have work in my office to do. Even though I may be okay time wise with deadlines, I always try to get as much done as possible in case I get an unexpected set back!!
So nice to see Belle can comfortably take a break in the sunshine.
It's been 5 hours now since Shep took over, right? I think Lynn reported the switch at 10:45...
Linda, Michael has had migraines since high school. They are less frequent now. Now they think Zach (6) had one recently. They took him to the doctor and, yes, it sounded like a migraine. Hard to diagnose with a little guy, but his symptoms and what he said looks like it was. Not good!
Good Afternoon.. looks like he will settle back down on the egg. Sure seems a long time for Belle to be gone. She is teaching him that he is in this for the long haul!
Linda, hopefully you will "outgrow" the migraines when you get a bit older! I am a firm believer that they are hormonally-related in the majority of cases.
Will have to look up the significance of what Robyn said.
Jo, ask the boys if they are going to bring me fresh eggs????? I'll have to make a TON of the stuff!!!!! LOL! Funny---I was just thinking about that last night----since it was all so well-received, should I do a repeat???!!! Guess the answer is YES!!!
Dana had called me earlier as she had been down towards the nest (Not in NCTC) I told her Shep was still in the nest and then she saw Belle circle in and sit in the tree.
Not sure who is coming in for the egg sitting . Well would someone come claim this egg!!!!
Well I alughed... a day of confusion, I knew perfectly well that the Friends of the Library meet the 2nd Tuesday of the month and yet I was very surprised when I showed up today and they were not there...well gracious me today is only the first Tuesday of the month!!! So I took myslef out for dessert and had a delicous cocnut cream pie...LOL!!! I have to find some medical goodness in eating coconut, certainly won't help my good choleserol!!! LOL It was delicous and hte sun was out and I sat on the pation with my tea and talked to people that happened to stop by...some I knew from Grans to Grans and some were simply commenting on the weather...Confusion brings surprises and good things...
Yoga this evening in a new studio and I am curious and at the same time sad that the good teachers are leaving the studio where I have been going for over two years now...
Thank you for the reporting on the incubating duties and what a difference it makes to have an experienced eye watching, no alarm and no speculation that add to confusion...I read the entries on OC forum and wondered what was going on, yet nothing was going on...thank God for experienced eyes and objective reporting...so very important and so very valuable and appreciated.
LYNN I like it that you are eating and I do hope you gain some of your weight back...I know you said you lost a lot of weight during the treatment part...God Bless you LYNN.
Hoda, that WAS quite a treat you had!!! I love coconut---but not the creme pie. My b-day cake is always coconut!! WHite cake, with 7-min. boiled icing and then coated with shredded coconut---YUM! Yes, Hoda---never lost weight with the lung cancer treatments. In fact, I gained 15#!!! Strange, huh??? Did nt hacve the bowel issues with it, tho', so guess that makes a difference.
WONDERFUL Tori report!!! Yippee!! Praise the Lord.
One or two eggs, it doesn't matter, Belle will be tenting big time....the egg will come when it's ready! Sure hope there is at least one more egg in the works!
Oh PAULA I am with you I think if you all get the snow they are prediciting Belle will be tenting big time, so it does not make any difference how many eggs she has...I like your calm influence regarding the arrival of the second egg...Thank You♥
Linda, only thing I come up with for the turbulence is the rush of the blood at the point where the lung is joined to the circulatory system. Apparently it is not abnormal....and should continue to decrease. I don't see the post about the vent tomorrow---must be in comments??
Hi all, have been home for a while but it took FOREVER to catch up on today's posts! Geez, you guys can REALLY talk!! Shep brought food to the nest??!! And he's been doing a great job with egglet sitting!! Woohoo!!
Dear Shep, I LOVE YOU! You're doing all the right things! Keep it up young man!!
Happy to hear good news about Tori and so glad to hear that LYNNIE is feeling better today!!
JO, yesterday PAULA posted something about the festival at Blackwater on 3/10. I went right to the site and read all about it - Denny and I are definitely there!! I've already sent an email to my friend who sets up weekend tennis to tell her NOT to put me on the schedule for that day! Thanks to both of you for the info!!
LYNN - I haven't been back to FB this afternoon. Too busy with work! But Jo posted about the possibility of getting off the vent. (Our Blog 3:54pm)
Maybe JO can tell you where she saw it.
Thanks for the info on the turbulence.
Yes, Lolly!! Poor young Zach is way too young, but my Adam started his migraines around that age as well. It just took a while to diagnose that he was actually having migraines because the symptoms didn't fully develop until his teen. He gets numbness on one side, looses vision on one side, and weird things like that.
Adam's migraines resemble his Dad's more than mine. I guess with both parents getting them, he was bound to get them!
YEAH for SHEP, bring FOOD for Belle!!! You go SHEP!!
Must run. Small group in a little over an hour and I am still at my desk.
Way to go SHEP...Good on you...more food for Miss Belle. I liked how he backed off and gave her room to move gingerly off the cup and waited for her to get the food...he hung around for a while and then poofed. She continues to eat
WOW lots of comments to catch up on. I might have to start staying home from school so I don't get so far behind! ☺ What do you think Sandi, can we get away with a "blog day". LOL!
Dinner is in the oven and I am so exhausted. I may need a nap.
DMO, I'm wondering how I can possibly continue to work full time AND keep up with the comments on the blog! I kept checking in yesterday b/c I was so anxious about whether or not Shep would know to do all the stuff he has to do. Today I'm feeling really confident that he'll be great but I still checked my emails from my phone every time I had a break in my meeting! I'm not in my own classroom all during the day - after 8:30am, my day is spent in other teachers' classrooms with my kids, so I can't have the cam and/or the blog up.
Glad you had a good day, Dana. My official attire for that day was a t-shirt with little handprints, each little hand had 5 fingers...guess how many handprints. LOL Kids made it for me one year. I loved the 100th day of school! Sunday I have Zach to of my books to take and give to his teacher, a big book Miss Bindergarten Gets Ready for Kindergarten and a regular hardback Miss Bindergarten Gets Ready for the 100th day. I did not like Joseph and Jacob's Kinder teacher so I did not give her books. I showed her!! LOL
Oh thanks for that clarification. I wasn't sure what it was that Shep brought this morning. I thought it was a rabbit but I didn't want the kids to see too much (I teach K, BEagle) and I minimized the screen real quick. I saw the legs and thought rabbit.
Ran my errands. I am aching all over having laid off one of my meds. Golly, I will be glad when this is over and I can get back on them.
When I left the egg was exposed, when I returned it was exposed. I was worried until I read the blog, then saw Shep arrived. What a bunch of worry worts we are!

Hi, Lolly!
Thanks Steve for the new thread! We are so enjoying seeing Belle chow down on food brought in by Shep. Life is good!
Hello everybody!!!!
I just have to say it gives me a lot of hope that Shep brought in food. He really just might do this!
Good morning Lolly and all others.
Belle is having some breakfast. Startled me as the egg is not visible but expect it is just covered in flugg.
Wishing everyone a lovely day. Headed to the big school house.
When can we (hopefully) expect a second egg?
Hi, back atcha! Thanks for the call over!
Ooops, forgot my manners.
Thank you Steve.
*waves* Thanks for the call over!
Hi Judie! Go educate those Wannabees!
It could be today or tomorrow for the next egg. I am thinking tomorrow, but what do I know!
Good morning again everyone. Thanks for the new thread Steve and the call over.
The next egg could be laid tomorrow.
I'm so relieved Shep brought some food in. That gives me so much hope and faith.
Yes, Sharon, I think we are all just awaiting with every step for Shep to prove himself. So far so good!
What did Shep bring for breakfast?
Eggs are usually laid 2-4 days apart, so we could see another egg between Tuesday and Thursday. Sometimes they are 5 days apart.
Well, hi there, Thelma. You snuck in!
5 days apart would drive us all crazy. LOL Let's hope that does not happen. Good morning, Paula!
She was already eating when I arrived. Have no idea at all what she is eating.
calling out! Conversation with Shep?
Good Morning!

I said I was going to go read the old thread, but never did. I will go now.
Good Tuesday Morning ! I see a very hungry Eagle chowing down big time!
I need to read back and see how the food
arrived.
Egg, I assume, is covered with flugg!
BBILW
Oops---got lost on the old thread!!!
Lolly, so far so good today!
Ha--I, too, had to stop my anti-inflammatory before surgery, and that was when my knee was at it's worst....I was suffering. The night before surgery, i cut a piece of IcyHot patch to fit the most painful area of the knee.....and forgetting the electric blanket---I burned my knee!! Shep brought in food, some type of mammal that had to be defurred! Egg is under the fluff.
Thanks, Linda, for telling us about Tori. I haven't gotten to FB yet. Pray that it goes well. Another BIG step forward!!!
Irene, what is your weather like today?
Judie, be careful heading into the big city! Which way do you go?? I am a stuck-in-the-wool Rt. 50 to Roosevelt Bridge/Constitution ave. router.
Linda - thank you so much for the Tori News.
Pray all goes well for her since PT would be the next step.
Jo, or LYNN that is what Robyn said would be next. What PT do they do? Is it working her lungs to get stronger?
I have so many questions, but don't want to post them to Robyn's FB page.
Any idea when Tori will have the tube pulled and breath without the vent's assistance???
Good morni9ng Lynn
Sharon thanks for telling us that
Shep brought it in! Sounds promising.
Did you decide on the dress. You go ahead and look like a Queen for the
ceremony and for your son. loL
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
GooD MorniNG, aLL.

Supposed to have a pretty good rain today in So Cal. Hasn't started yet though...unless it is very gentle and I can't hear it.

Hello, you bright eyed boy
Jim I can tell you are doing well and feeling chipper with all the great email

Good to get the Tori report. This is another step forward.
Going to read the paper now. Also need to get ready to go to the eye doctors and hopital. Today I do pre op stuff. Tomorrow I get my hair done. Yea!

Eagle at TH, rain at WE and at PH. Something, perhaps the eagle pair, has been moving things and placing pine cones on the nest at PH as well.
Everybody has been wondering where that pair is.

Belle seems content just sitting in the sun and breeze, surveying her realm. Eggbert is well-covered.
Thanks, Jo!
I am just so anxious and excited for news of Tori's first breath solo!!
I know that day will be soon, because I truly believe God is orchestrating every move in her life........
Shep arrives. And Belle departs.
Hedgie, What do you mean by Eggbert?? Has Belle laid one egg already?
C(°Ù¿°)D Jim
Looks like Belle just answered my question by returning to the nest bowl and acting as though she turned an egg.
C(°Ù¿°)D Jim
Thanks, LYNN!!
"tube" is what I meant to say.....
Eagle on WE nest. I think it is eating breakfast.
C(°Ù¿°)D Jim
Both eagles on TH nest. They should be just about ready to lay now.
C(°Ù¿°)D Jim
Hello! Kids are coloring 100 day crowns!
Google Graphics is nice....
Charles Dickens'
200th Birthday...
Jim, you guessed correctly. We have an egg.
It was laid on Superbowl Sunday. We are hoping for another one today.
Get so tired of trying that I have to lie down and take a nap:)
I was so pleased, as were you all, to have Shep bring in food.
Whatever...
JudyE - thank you for the video of the Switch which showed Shep doing all the right things.
So thankful he also brought in some food for Belle.
I'll be touched when I see Shep feed the eaglets!
Kristen is with me today - so I'll keep an eye on the nest and peep in here a
couple of times.
Blog made me stutter! That hasn't happened in quite some time......
BBILW
JIM----can't believe you didn't see all the chatter Sunday evening about the Egg!!! Belle laid it right after 5:30pm eastern.!!!! It was very fast----but she had been preparing all day with LOTS of flugg brought in!! There is a long video on Hancock of the event.
Michelle...also, it is the Friends of NCTC who finance the cam. I think they work off dues. But we Momsters have donated money from our raffles to them, designated for the cam......apparently hasn't done much good for technological advancement.
LYNN, how are you feeling today? Are you having your good day (that you so deserve)? :)
MicheleB - So sorry I called you MichaelB in my post to you!! I headed right down for another cup of coffee after that mistake!!
Please forgive me!!
Hi LINDA! A cup of coffee sounds just like what I need, too.
Did you get rid of your migraine?
Lori beat me to my next question.
I also would like to know how you are feeling today, LYNN!!
Hoping today is a better day for you.
xoxo
Hello to you, LORI!! Always nice to see you! ♥
Thank you for asking!
xoxo
Glad you're catching them early, Linda. You know we never can get enough of the details around here! We can take it.
Thanks! ♥♥♥
Looks like our feller Shep is going to do okay! Love it!
I was on the road and knew about the egg within 30 minutes after it was laid!
Good morning/Good afternoon all.
LINDA SHEP is known as SHEP on WOW site! He is known as Smitty on the Hancock Foundation site.
Thanks for the switch reports twice no less!! and food brought to the nest way to go Shep.
Jordan Lake cam due to malfunction. Parts on order---they hope to have it back up by Sat.
God is Good - just wanted to let you know how I feel today! Praying for all
my friends......... ♥
Shep is doing very well during the afternoon shift of incubation.
Over on FB I said Happy b-day to Angie, JudyE's daughter.
Also gave one of our original Momsters a big Happy b-day greeting, Helen aka Mits.
Sorry, HODA!! Too many sites to keep up with. Thanks for setting me straight....
So much to do and running of of time on this 100th day of school!
Next up...100 balloons!!!
Susan sent a link about a cottage in Shepherdstown. We are going to try to get it for the Momster's Eagle Festival weekend.
WOW!!! I DO wish you luck LYNN!!! Don't over do it on the stomach...two rich meals there dear LYNN...It is a good sign though that you are hungry...♥
I am signing off to start my day with Friends of the Library meetings and such...talk to you all later.
Home for lunch and find a new FRESH THREAD thanks for the NEW ONE STEVE gonna go read Won't be on later going to Angies
ANDY--if you're lurking----new episodes of the CBS shows tonight---hope your TV is all set to go!!
Her wings look funny poofed out in the back ODD does anyone else think so
Hi, Eagle Buds ! Doing a quick check in after catching up on posts and before dressing for MRI appt..

Lynn - great to hear what you are able to eat and I just hope it stays down!
You probably need to regain some of your strength! Are you and Liesl good
for a nap this afternoon?
Kristen was describing an outfit that she got for Sophia and said that she
loves Dachshunds.

BBILW
Hi, just checking in from work!
I see more Oldies have chimmed in for CelEGGbration...Hi Harbingerdc and Michele!
Just a quick peek, back to work I go! See you all later....enjoy this gorgeous day! Glad you are feeling better Lynn!
Shep has been incubating for a good while today...that is good!
I see the nestovers look whitish...
Wonderful news about Tori. Do hope this is the next step on the road to full recovery.
Lynn, glad you decided to indulge and hope it stays with you. Take it easy, please. Also glad you don't have to go out so much this week.
Happy Birthday to Angie and Mits.
Bye
Shep is up and I see a beautiful egg in a beautiful egg cup. Wow!
Just saw this on fb...........................
Robyn Ann Schonhans
Just saw Dr. Iacono and he said Tori is 60% past the turbulence and has 40% left, he feels confident.
Not sure what this means but I sure like the part about confidence.
Linda, Michael has had migraines since high school. They are less frequent now. Now they think Zach (6) had one recently. They took him to the doctor and, yes, it sounded like a migraine. Hard to diagnose with a little guy, but his symptoms and what he said looks like it was. Not good!
I really gotta go! Bye!
Shep is picking at nestovers.
Shep up off egg for a good 5 min now..
Got a beautiful shot of a perfect egg cup with a lovely egg! With sun light just right, the cup IS very deep!!!! Will post pic.
Good Afternoon.. looks like he will settle back down on the egg. Sure seems a long time for Belle to be gone. She is teaching him that he is in this for the long haul!
Okay---it's in the album. Take a look!!!
Hi, my kid!!
Sharon---where is the cottage? Where did you see it, Jo???
LOL, Hoda and Judie---I think maybe I was taking things too cautiously and starving myself. I have lost way too much weight.
Good luck with your MRI, Kay!
Lolly, get those errands done and settle down!
No nap, Jo---but do feel like I need to put my feet up for a little while. Want to MT the dishwasher first.
Okay---I found the cottage stuff on Yahoo mail!!! Very nice! Go for it, Shar!!! Sissy, too?
POOF SHEP
Sounds like Bell will be approaching. Hear something on the camera...
Wow Beautiful Eagle egg so clearly visible in the egg cup right now!
They would love to bring you their own home grown fresh eggs! Thanks for asking!
Yes, Margy--I still have carrot cake! In fact, I had a piece at 3:30 this morning!!
Did you fix grilled PB&J?? Maybe I'll do that for dinner!!
2 SB's flushed. It is 50° here---sunroom is reading 80°!!!!
Okay, joining Jo for feet up! BBL.
Eggbert is alone, but I see tail feathers at the 10 spot.
Belle:
My co-workers would like you to come down and roost on the egg
they think Shep did a Great Job..
xo
Guess I was wrong about Belle coming back.... Maybe she is above the nest, but for now...
MT NEST...
we did see the heavy duty next-shaking though.....10 mins or so ago
NEST-shaking that is
am headed out soon..
see you later.... xoxo
Dana had called me earlier as she had been down towards the nest (Not in NCTC) I told her Shep was still in the nest and then she saw Belle circle in and sit in the tree.
Not sure who is coming in for the egg
sitting . Well would someone come claim this egg!!!!
Robyn Ann Schonhans: Tori did great, she is sleeping and they are weening her slowly from vent, hopefully tomorrow she will be free of it...
Belle has arrived.
BELLE RETURNS
There she is!
Eagle back in the nest!!
How exciting, JO about Tori's news. Will be praying she will be free of that vent VERY soon!!!
Praise God for this good news!
Settling in on the egg.
Belle settles in on the egg
Looks like Belle is back.
Well I didn't get to do everything I wanted to do today....so, the 100th day activities will be continued.
Good news about Tori!
Shirley........we're posting twins!!!
LOL! You're on it, Lady!! I better get back to work!
Maybe we can hold off on another egg until Thursday -- we have SNOW tomorrow:
WEDNESDAY NEST FORECAST:
Snow, mainly after 10am. High near 36. Wind 5 - 7 mph. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
I hear you all saying that our Momma Belle is back with her egg! Our
eagles do give us some anxious moments.
lol
Yes, Dana, There is always tomorrow!
Your shirt looks great. Did the 100
balloons come about?
Sounds like Lori has a good suggestion - No egg tomorrow - wait until Thurs.
We sure do have a great looking egg cup this year - all that flugg does the
trick!
Sandi Go over to BWE and Lisa has info on their Eagle Festival on
Mar 10. Similar to our Open House
Everyone is relaxing after a hard day at work!
Can anyone give me the url to WOW -
I've lost mine
Jo, Here ya go
http://www.window-on-wildlife.com/
Thanks Paula, I don't know how I ever lost that link.
Coconut creme pie - one of my favorites
I had just been talking about Creme Puffs........
Egg roll but Belle's tail end is towards us.
Oh PAULA I am with you I think if you all get the snow they are prediciting Belle will be tenting big time, so it does not make any difference how many eggs she has...I like your calm influence regarding the arrival of the second egg...Thank You♥
There is going to be so much flugg on those eggs that we will never be sure of seeing a hairline crack in the egg when they are ready to hatch.
Linda, only thing I come up with for the turbulence is the rush of the blood at the point where the lung is joined to the circulatory system. Apparently it is not abnormal....and should continue to decrease.
I don't see the post about the vent tomorrow---must be in comments??
So sorry to hear that ZACHAROUSKI had a migraine episode...Dear Sweet heart he is...
Thanks for the explanation Lynn...lots of things going on....
I imagine Tori will need a lot of PT, she's been down for 7 weeks or so...
Yes, Jo (?) we did the balloons. As always...pictures on my blog. My life is in pictures. Am I over the top?
SHEP ARRIVES WITH FOOD AND BELLE QUICKLY SNATCHES IT!!!!! GOOD SHEP!!!
More food from Shep for Belle!! What a champ!!
BBL.....I hope!
Didn't look like a fish, did it??
Looks like Shep flew up to the tree.
Amazing, huh?
He is doing good for a ROOKIE!!
It didn't look like a whole anything - more like a piece of something.
Way to go SHEP...Good on you...more food for Miss Belle. I liked how he backed off and gave her room to move gingerly off the cup and waited for her to get the food...he hung around for a while and then poofed. She continues to eat
Shep brought a WHOLE RABBIT (I think it was a rabbit, I minimized the smartboard really quick)this morning. I think he is doing just fine.
Belle takes off after her meal. The camera wobbles after her take off, Shep in the ATTIC?
Camera shakes again, one of them is on it!!!
Carolyn has Jenn watching the cam....when Belle poofed, she put her thumb over the egg and told Caro she was keeping it warm!!!! ROFL!!
CUTE LYNN, actually ADORABLE.
Camera shakes again and in comes SHEP
Oh Lynn that is so cute!!!
WOW lots of comments to catch up on. I might have to start staying home from school so I don't get so far behind! ☺ What do you think Sandi, can we get away with a "blog day". LOL!
Dinner is in the oven and I am so exhausted. I may need a nap.
Lolly and Linda, sorry to hear that those young ones are getting migraines. That really stinks.
Still just one egg, right?
okay I've been left all by my lonesome? Or am I just talking too much?
oh that nest looks so cozy!!
Shep is really tucking that fluff in....by the time he's done, Belle will be back, LOL
Think he has fluff still hanging from his beak!
Look at his very uneven collar under the neck
Just one, DanaMO
LOL
OMG need to check typing...gave Zach two of my books!!! Good grief, Lolly!
Hi Eagle Fans,
Today Shep brought a squirrel to Belle. She snatched it up and mantled. Those wings of hers went everywhere and smackin around. :)
Must be her way of saying "thanks."
Isn't the architecture of the cup a little different this year?
Too funny, Lolly! You sure told her!!
It looked like the wall of China! LOL
I'm trying to read the posts and it looks like Shep is consistently bringing food to the nest.
We understood you LOLLY... I think it is so sweet and I bet Zach will be so proud to give the books to his teacher...so sweet...
I like Shep's bloomers.
Oh thanks for that clarification. I wasn't sure what it was that Shep brought this morning. I thought it was a rabbit but I didn't want the kids to see too much (I teach K, BEagle) and I minimized the screen real quick. I saw the legs and thought rabbit.
Ooops....sorry to intrude on others' conversation. I am too excited about the next egg coming up.
No intrusion.
It could have been a rabbit DanaMo. I thought it was a frog at first until the fur started flying.
