Well, Dubby said we can wait until Tuesday to run our errands!!! Yipee for me!
Monday is a holiday and it will be busy out there, so Tuesday is good, since it isn't really a rush.
So I will be watching while I work.....

Nefeterius has notified me to inform those with questions that currently the doctors have found that she has bacteria growing in her blood however this is not uncommon for transplant patients! The doctors are currently giving her strong IV meds and are trying to ID the source of infection. Please pray!
And something was calling out, maybe a crow, and then flew over the nest. Shep hunkered down as it flew over right under the cam.

Hoda, that bird flying by might have had white, certainly hard to tell. This I know for sure, it was a large bird!!
Definitely white between 06 and 08 seconds if you play and pause, but not sure if it was on the wing or tail or exactly where.
I didn't have the sound on the video (if there was any) because the nest sound in another window is on.

KAY, I plan on getting Rx glasses too. I like the no line bifocals as well as the transition lens. Can hardly wait to get them!! In the meantime my Walgreen glasses are doing great.
My old glasses were really bothering me. I had to hold them up to see through the bottom part of the lens. Somehow I acquired multiple fine scratches that ruined the lens, but I had worn them for a lot of years.
It looked like some white but it didn't sound like an eagle. Thanks for posting that.

yep, Sandi, it's fried. Happened last night. It was acting just very slightly weird, but Windows was updating, so I didn't think anything of it. Left the room, heard a terrible noise coming from it...thought something was happening at the nest. Picture was frozen as was everything else. I couldn't even get it to shut down. I had to unplug and take out the battery. Now, when I plug it in and try to start it, the power will come on for about a second or two then weird noise, the off, then on then off it goes as long as the power source is connected. REALLY SUCKS. No filing taxes online, no banking, no bill paying, no job searching for Steve, and the camera is useless as I now have no place to put pictures. Not to mention no more blog, no more eagle nest....I can use the computers at work, but it's usually too busy to do so. Today it's been pretty quiet so far. This was really the last thing I needed right now. It seems that nothing is ever going to go right for us. It's just all getting to be too much to bear.
Sorry, didn't mean to whine. I know you are pulling and praying for us!
Lynn, do not worry about "whining." You have every right to vent your frustrations.
I do think the public library will have computers you can use, though I know it is not the same as having your own.
I would be gnashing my teeth and complaining big time if my computer should do such a thing.
Aww, it's Friday and I don't even know if the family is coming over for our visit. Need to check emails and facebook.
I had my first OUTPATIENT THERAPY today. First thing, after an exam, was the bicycle for 10 minutes. I couldn't push the pedal with my new knee all the way around, it hurt so badly! Therapist said, "you can do it"...I said, "no I can't, "yes you can", and so, I DID:)
Seems I may have torn some scar tissue while trying to paint my toenails:(
Then, I did some of the Home Health exercises and then was wrapped in something (maybe an ice pack) and then felt little electrical charges all through the surgery area. If you have ever been bitten by a nest of red ants, that is how it felt...weird. That was suppose to help with the swelling.
I do have an exercise bike, here, and was told to use it for 20 min. every day. They think the tear will heal on it's own (if that is what I did)
Will visit Fitness Center 3 times a week.

Saw Belle leave. She called out quite a bit before getting up and poofing. She was also following something. Thought she was going to twist off her head!! Must have been watching Shep fly in.

Wanda, I had similar exercises after my unscheduled flight. Ankle was wrapped in an ice pack and when I said "no, I can't" was told "yes, you will" and I did. Just like you. Hope you get to have Friday Family Night.

Still wondering how much snow we're going to get. Weather service isn't committing to anything, but I have heard more snow south and west than north. I'll check around some more & see what I can find out.
They have issued a winter storm watch for here already.
I see for both the nest and Frederick area only an 80% chance of snow on Sunday and 40% Sunday night. Hunker down, Sharon. Does it usually dump on you guys on President's Day Weekend, too? Let me check one of the weather geek sites.

That is our Shep - he has been there since 2:45 o so..........
LYNNE, my desktop computer died on Monday. It's a 4-year old Dell running Vista as the OS. The 320GB hard drive is dead. You can get a 320GB hard drive online for about $75. If you know someone who could install it for you (or if Steve could do it), you can have my computer, monitor, speakers, keyboard, and mouse! I would meet you somewhere between your house and mine and hand it all over; I've been trying to figure out what to do with it. It was running just fine before the hard drive died and, since I've been wanting a laptop, I took the hard drive going bad as a sign from God that I should get myself one! Doubtful that God operates that way, but He does constantly provide us with opportunities and this is an opportunity for me to help you out if you'd be interested. I have the disks that came with it so you could reinstall Vista and all of the drivers and utilities that came with it. The only thing I won't part with is the disk for Office 2007 b/c that's what I've installed on my laptop and would want to have the disk in case of an emergency.
If you're not interested, my feelings certainly won't be hurt. But if you are, I have a 3-day weekend and we can make it happen. You would be doing me a favor to take it!
LORI, my fingers are crossed in hopes the kitties are meeting their new owners right about now !
Thanks for the video, HODA. Two thoughts, it was actually Belle shooing the crow off. Or, the white and size of the crow we were hearing was distorted due to fast motion blurring. In any case, it looks like Shep is now settled and all is well. Whew !

I am back and settled in and caught up. A couple of phone calls made, and waiting to hear from my girls. Think I need to put my feet up, too......so far, so good on the swollen foot/leg......but will sure be glad to get these hose off tonight!!
I stopped at BK and got a bacon cheeseburger for a very late lunch---it sure tasted good! Got rid of a big bag of books (bank is a collection site for the Newspapers in Education book drive; they do two big book sales a year and then provide newspapers to all classes at all schools).
Got 2 greeting cards for FREE thanks to my little punch card!

Now more than two activities a day and it becomes unreasonable...yesterday I had five things and it was way too much...yet at work I used to go in at six in the morning and sometimes came back home at eight or nine at night!!!Who did that???I could not do it now...
Sandi, are you still here? I got the post (thanks Lori!) about the computer. Neither Steve or I have any tech saavy at all and woulnd't be able to put in a hard drive. Other things come to mind that I don't "get" like we have wireless internet at the house, so the computer would need to be able to do wireless. I guess. I will check around for a hard drive (not going to be in the budget any time soon though) and in the mean time ask my brother (lives in Leesburg) if he can installl one. If so, I'd be happy to take it later on if you still have it!

We had a red Friday at school for Archbishop O'Brien from Archdiocese of Baltimore who was also elevated to Cardinal.
Looks like, at this particular time in weather forecasting, the potential for significant snow is INCREASING a bit....please keep your eyes on the weather this weekend especially if traveling!

LYNNE2, My son showed me the 2 screws to take the side cover off the computer case and then the 4 screws to take the hard drive out. It literally unplugs and the new one plugs back in. Trust me, ANYONE could do it!! And we have high speed wireless internet service so I'm sure the computer would work just fine for you. I'll hold onto it until we can figure out a way for me to get it to you!
Time to think about dinner, news, Jeopardy and PBS Friday night line up. Have my prayer list compiled. Have a good, restful night with sweet, sweet, dreams ! I♥U !

The bird sound much earlier during which we think Belle buzzed cross Shep on the nest, am pretty sure, it was a Red-shouldered Hawk.... I have heard them before and seen one or the other Eagle go after it.
I hear these Hawks at Swinging Bridge....
Going to listen to "banshee" next, we have heard foxes screaming there before, but usually much much later in the evening

Also last week I ate dinner Fri nite that really threw her for a loop because on Thur is my dinner nite with the and she know she comes to my house will Fri as I was leaving and she said see you tomorrow and Angie said no its Sat and she was staying with Mommy and Daddy well she was so distraught you would have thought she was going to break down so sad but she finally understood it and last nite she was so sad when I left Angies she she just cried for me and though maybe she wouldn't see me I guess That's what happens when you mess up their structure routine I guess She kept saying I sad I sad Ok now its time to go to the TV that is calling me Later I will check back in after Norton does it thing which I alread started

The cats are being silly tonight keep getting in my kitchen cabinets I need to go by a scratching pole tomorrow for them They seem to have taken to my bamboo desk That is a no no I don't think it can hurt it being it bamboo but don't want to risk it I will just go get them a pole and some more balls they keep misplacing them can't seem to find 4 balls now
