Have finished my 2 mile walk with Leslie. Did not do the cool down or the stretches as Sharon, my sister, called. She and Dan are frustrated with "Peggy". Phones, TV, computer...everything ATT is down. They have a 3 ft sink hole out by the telephone post. Try telling Peggy that! LOL She kept saying they would be out with a new modem....DUH...that will not work. Sharon said Dan was yelling into their cell phone last night. ATT was supposed to out this morning but so far no good.
I am off to bake a pie!
Thanks PAULA and LYNN...I wonder about extradition treaties PAULA and the US would have to honour them I als o think she wants a life of International travel. I hope the Italian Supreme court throws the case out...Not good for her resuming a normal life for now...yet good for book sales I presume...

DANAWV, the sound is working fine on the computer b/c I hear other sounds (ie. when my antivirus updates, my gmail notifier, I can hear music on Pandora radio), but I don't have sound at the nest site. PAULA, I've tried getting to the site with Firefox (which I use all the time) and with IE, no sound with either. Acc. to the specs for the laptop, Adobe Flashplayer was already installed, but I went to the Adobe site and downloaded it myself as soon as I got the laptop up and running last night. Any other suggestions from anyone for what to try?
Man, am I dragging today!! Have had my caffeine fix at lunch and still have a headache! I probably won't make it through the 8:00 show on TV tonight!!

I think the whole family needs to avoid international travel.

Shirley, what happened at the Doctor's office???? I was going to tell you that if there is a metatarsal fx that it is likely to be a spiral. And the nail definitely needs to come off.....bleeding at the base means it is loose, and it very prone to infection setting in. And I can't voice my professional opinion strongly enough that FEET belong to podiatrists, not orthopedists! And I speak from lots of personal experience!!!

Yes, I got flowers. We were at the grocery store. He left me in line to go get a lottery ticket. (Just want to try to be rich!) He came back with flowers, a small bouquet which I paid for. LOL But, it was flowers.☺

Tori now has a room with a view, she can see sunlight and moonlight, YAY. Tomorrow Tori may get a collar for her trache so she can start to work harder and get up without the tube separating from the trache.
These windows are huge, the width of the room and it comes with a shade when she doesn't want to see the building across the street.
Tori is so beautiful, I have never seen such a glow before, almost heavenly

LOL The pie was almost a disaster!! Santa put pie weights in my stocking. Have never used them. So, today I did. I attempted to pour them into a bowl after baking and cooling the crust. The crust fell half way out of the dish too!!!! Yikes! I salvaged it and did manage to get the pie weights gathered up. Not sure what to think of pie weights!!

There are many that have loving animals sick, some that are old. YOU are the CREATOR even of these animals. Yes I know I have had to come to you with a decision. Not wanting to make it. I have ask You Father PLEASE PLEASE take this one in its sleep. Only for me to wake the next day and the wonderful animal still be alive. I pray you will help those that need to make the decision to send that devoted loving animal to Rainbow Bridge...a place where they are sick no more. Yes I was and am lonely for those that YOU left it to me to make the decision. Telling me that they gave you/me all this devotion and love now it is time for you/me to give to them. Yes even after making the decision I cried and cried knowing all along YOU was the one helping me to give them a better life without suffering. GOD I PRAISE YOU for all the Blessing you have given me/us. I even ask for prayer for the pair of eagles we have named Shep and Belle and their eggs. Be with those that want to come in April giving them safe travels. Lord you already know this but you leave it up to me/us to talk with YOU about it. Steve wants to put the infrared light back up after the season is over and before the next season starts. Father I/we need help with this because they could tell him he can't do it because of budget cuts.
The light at night helps us Momsters and Dadster and all kids and people watching the live cam to know and see more about the eagles. Yes it is more of enjoyment but there is also learning. Father God I ask that YOU suplply this need however YOU know to do it and when LORD YOU know to do it in your timing.
Lord if there is anyone or anything that I have missed I ask for YOUR MEMORY to place those prayers and PRAISES in this list. Father all PRAISES AND GLORY ARE GIVEN UNTO YOU. Amen

I was given a rose from Friends of the Library and also a chocolate bar from the health food store. I went in to buy Cortes Island Clam Chowder and as I went to pay they offered me the chocolate.
It is a an amazingly beautiful day here. Warm and the skies are blue and no wind and the glaciers are so lovely to look at and the snow is melting in town...makes me think I could go out without a coat!!!

Well!!! In Canada it is against the law to be caught with a loaded fire arm. A chap was caught in his cousins flat taking pictures of himself with the loaded fire arm...it is an illegal fire arm mind you. The law here says a minimum sentence of three years in jail if convicted. The police caught him because they went in in search of his cousin and just happened to find the chap!!! A judge in Ontario refused to apply the law and called it "cruel and unusual punishment" to give the three year minimum jail sentence. She gave one year and what an uproar it is causing here!!!
We have not heard the end of this story I am sure!!!

What did Ed get Dana for Valentine's. Yes Ed usually gets me 1 rose not real. I don't like real roses. I have a vase with all the roses he got me and written on them is why and when he got them for me.

Hi all! Finally got Quickbooks installed, my printer installed, have recreated as many of my bookmarks as I can (PIA), and have transferred my documents, photos, and the Quickbooks file from the external hard drive to the new computer.
PAULA, still had no sound after reboot, even though I had downloaded the latest Adobe flashplayer. So, decided to download Adobe Shockwave and VOILA - I have sound at the nest! Love it when I find the solution!!

On Amanda Knox: I do not know, but I would think that extradition would not be likely when she has already been found not guilty and released by Italy. In the US, subjecting someone to double jeopardy is not legal. I don't think we would extradite someone if they are not guilty by our laws.
If I tilk my screen just so, I can see Belle, too.

Long day today. The student "crises" have begun. Do I care? NOT! Sometimes I just have to shake my feeble head.
Kay, I did not follow the Knox case closely. I would like to think the parents will retain legal representatives to appear for them rather than risk returning to Italy but I am not familiar with the Italian legal system. I just always had a gut feeling that the deaths were involuntary rather than premeditated but then this, I think, has to do with libel and slander accusations against the parents. Seems rather a waste of time, money to prosecute.
Jo, so pleased to see that Claudia managed the surgery successfully. Prayers continue, of course.

Whew, that was a LONG almost 12 day...especially as it wasn't planned!
I came home to some very bad news regarding Steve's job situation. Random House cut all the temps last Monday. I don't remember if I mentioned that or not. This Monday, he was suppossed to start at another place, but they have postponed it til next week. The temp angency thought they had a position for him for the rest of this week in the mean time, but they didn't. None of the other jobs applied for so far have panned out.
This is a huge blow. Our resources are depleted. We will not have the rent come March 1. There is no assistance available for us from the government because even with the little pay Steve has had over the last month, we are above the amount at which any assistance is available. We would actually have been able to POSSIBLY get something if he had no income. Go figure...you try to help yourself and it backfires. No wonder no one can get off of welfare, but that's another story.....We are in very dire straits. Steve is very, very depressed.
We have been blessed, though, with many small miracles that have allowed us to hang on this long.
I have hestitated to mention this. There are many on here, and in our extended friends and family circles, who have more urgent prayer needs. But I know how strong the power of prayer on this blog can be, and I ask thay you pray for us now, as hard as you can. Especially for my Steve.
No need to respond to this post...please. I know well that your love and support are here for us, and I thank you for that, and for your prayers!
and now to return to the regulary scheduled blogging.....LOL!
Today, a STINKBUG was found at work. I said that I brought it in because it was one of our breeding stock from Soper's STINKBUG Ranch, and it was feeling a bit under the weather today and needed some veterinary attention!
Tomorrow is RED's big day to get his new hip! Prayers for success! Wonder if Mrs. Red will somehow be able to let us know how everything goes?
I decorated the office for Valentine's Day, so in that spirit I also brought some Frank Sinatra CD to play! The young'uns in the office were less than thrilled, but the rest of us and the clients enjoyed it!
Well, looks like everyone is TVing or maybe VALENTINING! I've got to get to bed, back to work early in the AM. Will check in if I can...the internet there has been cattywampus for the last two days so Dr. C. was trying to fix it.

The British Papers are bringing up points that often when thigns are not considered a law in England British Nationals have been extradited to the US because it was a broken law there. They are extending the argument that this should apply to Amanda Knox also...I rather think NOT, since the case was so corrupt to begin with, yet Meredith was from England and here is this whole fuss again... I appreciate JUDIE's chimming in and also SHIRLEY's.

Have been watching the dog show. When the Pekingese. which won, was shown I could not help but laugh. I thought it looked and waddled like a skunk. Jack said it looked like a caterpillar. Saw some beautiful dogs!

RED was on Face Book Lynn...said surgery is at 9:30 AM his time.I too suggested that MRS. Red come on the blog to let us know how he is...he did not respond to this suggestion either...I had asked the time of the surgery and he gave it so all we can do is pray.
ON THE SUBJECT OF THERAPY:
I had the same problem as LYNN, with Humana Insurance , with the exception of cost. Lynn had to pay $35 co-pay for each time she had radiation therapy...Fitness Clinic wanted $125 each time I visited for therapy for a 6 week period!
I told them no...went home and made a few phone calls. I am now scheduled to have Therapy at a fitness center 1 mile from my house for $35 a visit! I could WALK there:)
I don't understand why one place will charge so much less for the same treatments...actually it is the INSURANCE CO. who determine what they will pay...so confusing. Guess I'll sleep on it:)

WANDA, sorry to hear about yet another insurance rip off, but glad you found a reasonable solution. My PT co-pay was $40 per visit or 80 per week. Too much for a fixed income budget ! I'll be talking to Aetna Medicare rep today. When I went to the urologist Monday we discovered my new 2012 card took me from Open Access HMO to just HMO, which means I must have my primary doc refer to specialists. They got my doc to fax the proper paperwork over so my appt. wasn't canceled, but that requirement is a bummer. I also want to find out why an Rx went from $37 to $95 at the first of the year. There is no generic for it, but that cost is outrageous ! Grrrrrr.
