So exciting...the first visit only the male eagle the second visit Belle the third visit both of them...as you all say COOL BEANS...speaking of beans maybe I should go vacuum my car and then prepare lentil bean with curry soup for my supper...yet it is still light enough maybe they will come back...??? Is it dark outside back east LYNN or SHIRLEY?
Mother ship seen, plain as day! Passed to the right of the bright moonie! Only good thing about the trees losing their leaves is that I can see SKY stuff again!!
Okay, that was weird! Lynn, put picture in album. Then I accidently closed the cam. Had to bring it back up and when it did there was an eagle, then a second later it was gone and then cam was darker. hmmmmm?????
Yaaah, that was a nice long slow flyover - right on time, right on its path as predicted, watched it til I could not see beyong the neighbordhood interference...but it was almost to the horizon
had a look at Jupiter also, saw at least one of its moons...if I could hold my hand steadier, I might have seen a couple of others
I missed that LOLLY!!! It is so awesome that there is always one of us able to capture a visit. Good on you LOLLY!!! THAT MAKES FOUR VISITS TONIGHT... COOL BEANS ;^)!!! I like that expression.
I have posted a few pictures on my blog--a few of the eagles at the nest, one of Hunter in his costume, and some of the dogs exploring the backyard with the new fence.
I still have problems with the captions. Just never know how they will show up.
Hunter and Kathryn are at a Halloween party that was postponed last weekend. Hunter finally put on his costume.
I think it is easier to hit the caps key and not take time to try to do bold letters, Hoda. It is hard to watch, read what others are saying, and post as it is.
I agree, Shirley......in the time it takes to post with all the html characters, I miss too much action! It was easier when Firefox worked and I could keep the cam open in that window. But now I can't get it to connect at all. I even deleted it and re-downloaded. :(
Hoda.....cool beans is a VERY old expression....we used it probably in the 50's before this 60's phrase came along: peachy keen!! JudyE has brought it back!!!!
Speaking of which, she is probably DYING without her puter!
I have been putting this on fb. Duh! Did not think to put it on here. This plan for a playground is at a church in IN. The minister is a former minister at our church and a dear friend. We raised our kids together. Please go and vote. You can vote every day until the 11th. Thanks!
May I please ask for a special prayer for a local high schooler named Taitlyn? She suffered a tragic brain bleed last night and is losing her fight......sounds like it may have been a congenital vascular malformation that had not been diagnosed---usually no reason for it to have been until tragedy struck.
I just phoned JUDYE and she will get her computer on Monday at luch so she will join us Monday Evening. She sounded well and she misses us and the eagles. She wished she was seeing them too.I told her about the regular visits and how tonight they showed up 4 times...She said to say hello to everyobody and that she sends her love. So in honour of JUDYE BE KINDER THAN NECESSARY FOR EVERYONE IS FIGHTING SOME SORT OF BATTLE.
Will have to get locks for the gates tomorrow. Have to decide whether I want combination locks with Hunter being allowed to know the combination or licks with keys.
Combination locks would be more convenient. Lord knows, though, I am already maxed out with combinations and passwords.
Hunter has already said he would not tell anyone else the combination(s).
Just don't want gates left open so that the dogs get out. I have had the gates all placed where we can see them from the back door.
Oh LYNN for sure PRAYERS for TAITLYN. I will light her a candle tonight...so young...OH MY...
THANKS SHIRLEY about the information on how to save from the still cam...I will try it next time I see them there...
MARGY I am glad ISS was clear for you and that you were also able to see Jupiter and a moon...
I think I put too much garham Masala, indian food spice, in my soup...I went to stir it and tasted it and my togue is knowing of spices!!! WOW!!! TOO TOO Hot!!! I do have yogurt though so it should be OK to eat a cucumber and yogurt salad...
Supposed to be a gangster, Jo. Kathryn thought he wanted it because he could get a neat gun to go with it, but he chose not to take that particular gun to the party.
JO You shoulda seen me scramblin' at work to check dates on the November list to make sure I hadn't forgotten your important date, when you posted your "new" avatar
Prayers for Taitlyn, Lynn, how very sad..... what hospital is she in??
Shirley! Great pictures, I had so scramble to see if Basset had two t's or one....
Hoda James told me there are 63 moons for Jupiter, but we can only see four, and fewer sometimes...they move around and change positions daily....I need a telescope to really look for them..or a steady hand When I could see better I used to make little sketches every day to see how they had changed positions
Great that you called JudyE and left her traditional daily evening greeting for her, for us ♥
your pics are good, Shirley, captions turned out good too, I have never even tried to put captions and realized earlier today I need to experiment
AND I always like seeing you and your schoolteaching pals. "first upo" I say go for combination locks for the gates...make it something like birthdays and change then around if you need to....
Margy, she's at Children's in DC---they airlifted her out yesterday sometime. She woke up yesterday morning with a terrible headache.....and then fell into a deep sleep....
Lynn The Laughing Cow cheese is French and soft...Gruyère is Swiss and not as soft but a light cheese aged for a minimum of seven years...I love both. I sometimes think I eat way too much cheese...
about facebook, I actually tried to sign on a few years ago, and got wound up in an endless loop, but it does look like I am "on there" so I hear...but not something I can start to do yet... maybe someday...
Hoda, can you throw a whole tater in the soup??? That's supposed to absorb excess spiciness. Might just be an old wives tale.....but can't hurt to try!!
I am heading for the sofa to watch Revenge....like to really concentrate on it!
I'm going to quiet it down here now.. thinking earlier and through the day, and often....of what a superb Naturalist Deb was, a great photographer, smart, witty, so knowledgeable... compassionate, kind... she shared so much of her life's passions with us, and it will remain with us forever....
I had a baked yam, I took it out of the oven when it was ready and had it with the soup and potatos/yam family reduce heat taste on tongue is my experience tonight.THANKS...Now for some yogurt and I am done eating.
Shirley, Hunter's gangster suit looked great. QUESTION: How many gates are there (I think I see 2) If one of the gates is going to be used more then the other I think I would pad lock the one used the least. The other I would go with combination.
Where are the captions you and Margie are talking about - EMalbum or your blog album?
I raked the front yard today...lot and lots of pine needles...so I have been out tending the fire...have heard geese, the GHO AND A HERON....THEY SOUND LIKE A SICK GOOSE!
Just a very slight breeze tonight...very nice out with the moon
I am going to have to stert checking the ISS schedule for down here...should be a good view
Prayers for Taitlyn, her family, and her friends. Sometimes life seems so unfair.
The sandperson is skulking outside the door in the hallway. Stuuuuupid sandperson thinks I don't know he's out there. Well, I do know. So there!
The night light, adjusted to the change to EST, is on for anyone who may need to arise in the dark and for Andy who may come in late from the West coast. Restful sleep for all.
I like your suggestion about the locks, Jo. We have three gates. One on each side of the house and one in the back.
I really do not mind if Hunter opens the back gate to go play with his friends back there or to have them over as long as they close it. Kathryn suggested that we hang a solar light on that gate so we can see it at night.
LYNN, Taitlyn and family are in my prayers. What a heartache.
You are so right about cinnamon. I take two capsules a day (1000 mg) and like to add it to oatmeal. One of those things that is good for you and actually tastes good, too.
DIANN, Pillsbury has sugar free cake mixes and icings, too. Will try some of them since the Brownies are so good.
LOLLY, as an anti-FB person I can't vote on the playground either.:( Reminds me of news out of Springfield, OH today--with a grant of 35,000 bucks they are putting in an adult playground for seniors. I hope that idea spreads ! I love to swing ! I'd also enjoy skipping like we did as kids. I could do it in such a playground without fear of being hauled away in a straight jacket !
Thanks for calling JudyE ! It must have done her a world of good. Looking forward to her return on Monday !
I found a magazine article about cinnamon being good for diabetics, so I put it on some carrots I cooked yesterday. Mixed it with Splenda. Tasted fine.
Seth is sound asleep, the clocks are set and I'm ready to head for bed.
Prayers for all in need and in thanks for today's blessings. Among those was the active visiting day it was for Belle and our soon to be named male. It's grand that so many of us have gotten in on their visits this week !
♥♥♥Wishing my Eagle♥Buds a restful night and a super duper Sunday.♥♥♥
I just finished watching The Passionate Eye a Canadian Broadcasting Corporation program. Rescue off the mountain in the Sierra Nevada. Pretty amazing operation it was.
Oops---I got lost. Sofa just gobbled me up! I did manage to watch a couple of shows....with multiple rewinds!! Y-a-w-n! Liesl was a nice lap warmer, too!
Margy, I don't think the girl goes to Musselman....not sure, tho'. Found out that she is only 12.....looks older in the FB pic I saw.
Hoda, I eat a lot of cheese, too...but Swiss is not one that I eat much. I can manage it melted on a ham sandwich, but sure don't care for it plain.
Well it is a balmy 27 degrees here right now and I am glad there is heat and warm clothes. ALl is well. I need to check on the fire alarms and change the batteries.I will fall back with my clocks before I go to bed. It will be strange to have the standard time back again as it will get so much darker here earlier...by December it will be dark by 4:15 PM. I am sure I will get used to it and March is not that far off... I know gratitude for the warmth and the sunshine and LIFE IS GOOD.
GOOD NIGHT ALL.SWEET DREAMS. GOD BLESS. SPECIAL PRAYERS FOR TAILYEN AND HER FAMILY.
I use cinnamon a lot.....cinnamon toast, oatmeal, french toast, etc. not to mention in a lot of baking recipes! Love it!
I am eating one of these Honey Crisp apples....I don't really like it. A bit too tart for me...think I'll stick with Red Delicious for an eating apple. Gonna sprinkle the rest with salt...that should sweeten it a bit.
Shirley, I agree about the gates.....combo on the most used, and padlocks on the other two. Keep in mind that weather does a number on them all!!! Look for the kinds that are enclosed in a rubber jacket.
Paula.....you are a brave soul! Week old oysters??? PLEASE be careful! We don't want you getting food poisoning! You ARE in a perfect place to see the ISS!!
Hoda.....time change makes the evenings SO long and the seems like there's never enough daylight to accomplish things sometimes. But not a thing we can do about it!!!
Heading for the tub....see you all tomorrow. Prayers for each and every one, but especially for Taitlyn and her family and friends tonight. And a special whispered message to our Deb----I love you!
Laurel just called, they just had an earthquake. She was at her computer and she said it was like someone picked up her chair. She said things were rattleing on the shelf. She called out to Joey and he replied "We just had an earthquake."
We did get to see ISS while we were waiting on a customer to come. It was VERY bright and exactly on time! 6:46. Gene got a pretty good photo shot of it~
GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS SLEEP WELL PRAYERS FOR ALL SPECIAL PRAYER FOR TAITLYN
I have been reading tonight. Going to head to the shower. Expect to hear that Texas had an earthquake on the news. They had them in OK last night, part of the same thing, I am sure.
We are an hour from Laurel's. Certainly did not feel anything here. Laurel was very excited.
Nite all! Sweet dreams!(lol That is what I told Laurel.)
The WFAA newsroom is being inundated with calls and messages from viewers who said they felt an earthquake around 11 p.m. Saturday. The U.S. Geological Survey reported a 5.7 earthquake centered 45 miles east of Oklahoma City at 10:53 p.m.
That was a huge quake in Oklahoma, 5.6, and parts of a highway just buckled in 3 places! No wonder Laurel felt it, LOLLY...it was a big one! For those people who were right on top of it, that 5.6 felt like a 10. Earthquakes are one thing I do NOT miss about California.
Great info from HODA and KAY about cinnamon. I'll have to try it but afraid it will be rough on my stomach...GERD and all that junk. I am my Mother's daughter. :)
If you click on the start button on buttom tool bar. You know the one all the way to left---windows picture circle with different colors in it...Can you see that???
a picture in its own box will come up Click file at top click save as and if you have the folder open you want to put them in just write what you want and save .....if you don't have the folder open you'll have to find the folder and open it and then save picture
DanaWV, thanks for your help with the snipit tool...I don't get a save prompt or option anywhere. I work with it today and see if I can figure it out. What's it supposed to do? You're a good teacher. :) I'll get it.
Gotta run now. Wasn't planning on a long, wonderful visit like that! Thank you, Belle! BBL
Gut mornien.....I don't know if that is German or PA Dutch or what or if it's even spelled right....but remember my Scottish GF saying it sometimes!!!! I don't think it's Scotch!!
Haven't gotten very far on posts yet...but did see that Lori mentioned cinnamon again. Let me also add to my blood sugar statement this: oftentimes, people can "take" a tsp. of it a day, lose weight and exercise and avoid having to take oral diabetic meds! How cool is that?
I am waiting to hear, but from one FB post, it sounds as if Taitlyn is gone. :(
Hearing about the OK quake reminds too many of us of the VA one, right?? How far is Denton from OK City, Lolly. How did Laurel describe it???? Any explosive noise???
Good morning from sunny Scott Depot, WV. I am lying on the couch with my computer on so I got to see Belle and S___ this morning. Love that we can watch them again.
We have to be at David's Bridal at 2 today and then I will be heading home. Have so enjoyed hanging with Andrew and the Shedd family but am beginning to miss home.
Lori, T-Bird hasn't gotten the tug yet because I am the mail checker. I will get it when I get home. By the way, Buphals, Hairy, Scooby and Mopsy want to know why Buddy is so special? Lol
Great that you all had a nice long visit with our birds! They are definitely establishing a good pattern for viewing.
Lori, that SnipIt tool is so great! Wish my PC had it, too....tried to download it to that puter, but it apparently is only workable on Windows 7, not on Vista. So I just have to stick to laptop if I want to grab a capture.
Update: Taitlyn is apparently brain-dead, and her family is allowing her organs to be harvested this morning. So very sad.....my heart breaks for them all, but what a loving donation they are making to help others live.
Good Morning, Everyone, I didn't make it here last night--fell asleep in front of the TV. Kubby took me out to dinner at Gulliver's in Irvine. Golly, we hadn't been there in literally decades! It's like an English pub the way it's decorated, and the specialty of the house is prime rib. I decided to have a grilled rib eye steak, though. We split a house salad, which had cherry tomatoes, feta cheese, tiny cocktail shrimp, and a yummy dressing very similar to a Caesar dressing. My steak was HUGE!!!! It came with a twice-baked potato with grated parmesan on it, creamed corn & creamed spinach, and a mushroom wine sauce. Their breads are fantastic, too. They have a cheesy rye bread that's to die for! The place has multiple fireplaces, with cozy roaring fires, and they are famous for their collection of pewterware and porcelain. The place looks like it was transported from England! They are all decorated for Thanksgiving/fall harvest, and it's really something. I cheated a bit and ate some trifle for dessert. It came compete with a Birthday candle, and a Happy Birthday song! We actually only ate about 1/3 of all the food we were given--the portions are GIANT. We brought the rest home, and now have two more dinners--easily!
Hi all, just checking in for moment. Very busy weekend. Today I'm going to clean and apartment and Steve is working. Still no heat...lovely having to get out of nice warm bed right into the 55 degree temp in the house. I emailed Jamie about when we could expect the heat to be up and running and she said that Klye told we we have space heaters so there is no rush.....WTF? Last Saturday, when Kyle said the heat would be on by that evening, I said that because it hadn't been too cold yet, and we used the space heaters in the evening , that it hadn't been too bad. But I certainly never said that because we HAVE space heaters that there was no rush!!!! I'm just so stressed and so upset about this whole situation that I now have bad dreams every night and a constant stomach ache. Things could get a whole lot worse for us at any moment now and I just pray and pray that God will help us deal with whatever he brings our way.
Anyway, I have to go clean an apartment today....I'll see you all later. Love you guys, have a good day!

Hoda,
This is how I capture pictures from the still cam. I right click the mouse and click on "save image as." It goes to my pictures.

Lynn - Prayers for Taitlyn - so young..
Same here as far as closing my eyes and there is our DEB.
I put in captions on my blog pictures, Jo, but one ended up in a strange place.
I did not put any captions on the EMalbum. I wasn't really sure how to do it. I have done some posting there, but not much.
Now I know where to look for them Shirley.

Well, Kathryn and I have been watching the highly intellectual program, Storage Wars.

It's me, Mema
If you can just look at those 2 owlets
The one is wingerecising - so darn cute
Nite
SPECIAL PRAYERS FOR TAITLYN AND HER FAMILY...sorry about the spelling in the last post.
Salt helps!
Not far behind everyone. Will watch a little tv until sleepy.
Paula, like I told Linda, be careful what and where you eat. We want more pictures of your paradise.
Prayers for all needs. God bless!
Praying for TAITLYN and her family tonight, Lynn. So sad......
Peeking in for a quick post before heading to bed. Have been trying to catch up on reading while watching a movie with dubby!
Lots of Eagle visits today!! Fence looks great, Shirley!
Wishing you all peaceful and restful sleep......enjoying that extra hour tonight!! LOL
Prayers for all.......
xoxo ♥♥♥ Night!
Gene got a pretty good photo shot of it~
GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS
SLEEP WELL
PRAYERS FOR ALL
SPECIAL PRAYER FOR TAITLYN
I have been reading tonight. Going to head to the shower. Expect to hear that Texas had an earthquake on the news. They had them in OK last night, part of the same thing, I am sure.
We are an hour from Laurel's. Certainly did not feel anything here. Laurel was very excited.
Nite all! Sweet dreams!(lol That is what I told Laurel.)
WFAA viewers report ground shaking in North Texas
The WFAA newsroom is being inundated with calls and messages from viewers who said they felt an earthquake around 11 p.m. Saturday. The U.S. Geological Survey reported a 5.7 earthquake centered 45 miles east of Oklahoma City at 10:53 p.m.
Good Morning Eagle Family!
It's the first day of the time change and will be light earlier, YEAH!
Prayers for Taitlyn. What a sad story. Any updates LYNN?
The ISS was awesome last night as it came up over the WNW horizon. Brighter than I've ever seen it and right on time. Thanks for the heads up, MARGY!

BBL
Both back in
Both together again.
They appear to be enjoying their morning too.
Bye Lori it was fun and good to have some time with you. Have a good day ( :♥
Yes they do don't they Thelma
I sure would like to be there this morning!!1
Male poofed and Belle in nest alone
Later Lori. Make a good day.
Morning all
Been having trouble getting on here since last night...think it was a reception issue
I did not sleep my hour away!
Saw mr eagle out front this morning
And nick just flushed a heron out of the marsh
Also a heron landed out front last night just as the sunset was fading
Good morning from sunny Scott Depot, WV. I am lying on the couch with my computer on so I got to see Belle and S___ this morning. Love that we can watch them again.
We have to be at David's Bridal at 2 today and then I will be heading home. Have so enjoyed hanging with Andrew and the Shedd family but am beginning to miss home.
Nest isnest is MT
Lynn you can keep oysters in the fridge for at least a month...these are oysters in the shell...not shucked
Lori, T-Bird hasn't gotten the tug yet because I am the mail checker. I will get it when I get home. By the way, Buphals, Hairy, Scooby and Mopsy want to know why Buddy is so special? Lol
Well, time to get started on my football Sunday. I hope you all make a great day.
Thelma: GO SKINS!!!!! Fingers crossed that they pull out of this stupid slump today!!!!
Sharon, I don't think that Lori knows about your menagerie, or Sissy's!!!!
Paula, relieved to hear that about the oysters! I WAS worried!!!!!
This is ome of two days a year that I HATE being a clock collector!!!!
Update: Taitlyn is apparently brain-dead, and her family is allowing her organs to be harvested this morning. So very sad.....my heart breaks for them all, but what a loving donation they are making to help others live.
Good Morning Lynn, Puala, and Sharon.
To the "bridal shop" sounds like things are in the process of the beginnings of the wedding. ♥♥
Sorry Lynn you have so many clocks to set.
Paula's Paradise is still the fun place to be for you and Nick ( :
Lynn where are you getting you information on Taitlyn? So sad :(
Prayers for the family, and for school friends and other friends.
Carolyn's godson's Mom, April, has kept us up to date on Taitlyn.
Tick Tock, Lolly
Good Morning See that there was a good visit. Glad so many of you saw it and let us know how it went.
Didn't get that extra hour but I'll catch it later.
Off to my medicine chest to get my day
started.
Good Morning Mema Jo lot of pics in the album for todays visit ( :
Lynn so she is not related to you?
Which school and what grade?
Thank you
Taitlyn is a 12 y.o. at H'ville Middle.
JO....hope your medicine cabinet visit is routine and that you aren't feeling bad....???
I too Jo am trying to set up my medicines for this next week.
Thank you Lynn for information about Taitlyn. I think she goes to school with neice of Eds. I will have to call and check.
Taitlyn's last name is Hughes.
Good Morning, Everyone,
I didn't make it here last night--fell asleep in front of the TV.
Lynn, so sorry to hear of Taitlyn. God bless her family for donating her organs to others. Prayers for them, and her friends.
Good Morning Andy ( :
Don't you just love it when you go out and eat. Can bring some food home and have another meal. Ed and I use to do that a lot.
Lynn please check your mail
On FB - DanaMo has beautiful pics of the
Anniversary Party yesterday.
Looks as though everyone had a great time.
Good Sunny Sunday Morning!!
I never got on here yesterday and saw there were eagle visits I missed!! BOO.
Now that I'm home and awake, I will try to be more vigilant!
A late, Blessed, Loving memorial to Deb Palmer. Thx for mentioning, Lynn & for WVDana posting avatar. Gosh I miss her.
