Steve, thanks for the new thread! And, Kay, thanks for the call over. Just posted this on the old thread.

It is very quiet on here this morning. Already miss Lynn! Thinking of you Lynn!!!

Forgot to tell you yesterday. Jack does NOT have more infection with the root canal and crown. The dentist said he has been chewing on that side too much. He has bone deterioration from the infection and it will rebuild, but takes time. Interesting! After Thanksgiving he can go to his regular dentist and get the crown repaired. This dentist drilled through the crown to do the root canal and treat the infection. Live and learn!

Need to get busy.

Kay said...

Thank you sooooo much STEVE !! I've called the gang over.

Good Morning, Eagle buds !

Very late getting on due to big storms and tornado watches all night long. Going back to former thread to catch up.

Mega prayers for LYNN, she should be in surgery now if I remember right. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Lolly said...

Surgery is at 1:30, Kay. 12:30 my time. Keeping an eye on the clock.

LOLLY, I'm just slow ! So glad Jack doesn't have more infection and that you have some answers. Keep reminding him to chew on both sides now !!! :)

BB after a catch up wid da posts session.......

Kay said...

Thanks gals ! I was remembering something about 11. So, she's just about to check in, etc.. I couldn't get on line last night due to the storms and missed last minute chat and the chance to assure her of my love and prayers. Not much sleep during a noisy night of bad weather, so I had lots of prayer time and focused it on LYNN. I know we're all on the same page as we love her so !!!!!

Kay said...

Okay, now back to the old thread for a bit.....

Good Morning from cloudy, warmish Park land.
Prayers for Lynn on her travels to Fairfax and all day long. I like going early for surgery--stick out your arm for IV, konk out & know nothing. Then wake up w/Habby meds and the bad guys are gone!!

No eagles at the nest yet. Maybe too warm or wrong time. Saw noisey, elusive kingfisher, bluebird, red-belly W.P. AND the picnic table is back in view!!! Haven't seen it for a couple weeks! It moved a tad downstream~~still up against a "beach" on other side of channell. Could take a canoe or kayak & have lunch there!! LOL

If I'm not lucky enough to get back on here, will be praying for Lynn with all at 1:30. And prayers for everyone else in need~~~

Caramel custard cups are in the oven for dessert tonight. Need to run to the grocery store but will try to delay the trip to after 1:30.

Already up to 74, not much of a front! Have been checking the weather for Pagosa Springs. Slight chance of snow Sat and Sun. We get there Sat. Then Monday sunshine. Will keep checking the 10 day forecast this week.

Had an idea last night. Jack and I will have some of Sat and all day Sunday to bury a treasure and make a treasure map for Joseph and Jacob. Doesn't that sound like fun?!! Will get to Wally World tomorrow to look for a treasure. Thinking of "fighten guys". They love "fighten guys"! Will need to take paper to made a treasure map. I am thinking of wadding it up, burning the edges....make it look authentic! More fun! I can see them wanting us to rebury it and make more maps! Or then burying it and making us look. Watch out Colorado woods...here we come! Oh, and they have a bear that has been seen but I imagine it has hibernated by now. No looking in holes, caves, and under upturned roots. lol

Kay said...

LYNN, constant prayers and I know we all hope you can get on line this evening. JUDIE's visit will surely cheer you ! Thanks for representing us, JUDIE !

A great report from Maxine on Liesl's welfare ! So glad she's in good hands !

LYNN, I may have dreamed it, but thought Shannon's car was damaged in a storm a few months ago. If not Shannon's then I have it mixed up with another of the many stories that move through the blog .

DANAMO, you need to get a sub and take a mental health day--before T'Day. You need to be your usual perky self for Aric's homecoming and for the big meal you'll fix for parents, et al.

LYNNE, what a bummer, Bad on UPS ! Praying for the housing solution you need. God bless you for your positive attitude and determination. Hope the Red-tail Hawk makes it and thanks for sharing pics.

Judie said...

Good afternoon.

Thank you Steve for the fresh thread and Kay for the call over.

Lolly, glad Jack is not is dire condition. Hope he feels better soon.

Lynn indicated that she would have one of her daughters give me a call and will be able to find out when I can visit. I suspect she may go from surgery to ICU for at least a while - may or may not allow non-family. At any rate, when I am able to see her I will remind her of the many prayers and thoughts of love and support. I will report on the blog as soon as I can.

New Thankfulness Month avatar. You've already met Eileen's daughter Dana Kay, seen on the left. With her is Lee's beautiful Lauren Calista, a Junior at Pitzer University, majoring in Chinese and Art. She's in Beijing this semester, but will be home in December. Dana is 6 ft. tall, blond with brown eyes. Lauren, six months younger (20)is 5'11" with dark hair and gorgeous hazel eyes. They make quite a sight when together. Both girls have been approached by modeling scouts on the streets of NYC and Chicago. However, that's not the life either of them wish to have. Love my girls !

Kay said...

HODA, your speeding story is toooo funny ! LYNN's is not, but she was preoccupied, I'm sure. I've not had the "pleasure" of receiving a speeding ticket, but it's not because I haven't deserved one. Last trip to Eileen's in MI I got pulled over by Highway Patrolman and thought I'd had it. However, he said, "Sorry I had to alarm you, but your spare tire has dropped and is hanging down back there." We got out the manual and he cinched it back into place for me. I coulda, shoulda have hugged him !!!

Mema Jo said...

Sharon I see your Shepherd with his sheep. Love it.

Lolly when they are older with buried
treasures - GPS readings are fun.

Judie, I am so happy you will be there.
Like you say, there will be recovery and
more than likely the ICU. So hope you get to see her and that Lynn can see you.

I see I missed the split.... Oops. Mom went back at 12:10. Moves up the surgery by almost an hour and half!!! She was good. Calm and collective. Pre op was goOd. Epidural went like a breeze. Realized I really have missed my calling. Maybe I will go back to school!!!! Wil be in touch. Surgery should be about 2 hrs start to finish. Love from mom and me. Xoxo

Hoda said...

We've got your MOM covered JEWEL...Candle lit and prayers underway.
Love to you and to your sister.

Kay said...

LOLLY, what a fun grandmommy you are ! The boys are going to love the buried treasure hunt.

PAULA, thanks you sharing pics of the adorable Cohen's "big blowout" ! The chairs look great !

Much of DWTS and Gabby's story were preempted by weather warnings last night. Arggggh. Guess the ABC affiliate has to do that, but....

MARGY, Julie's meal was scrumptious--smacked of being a holiday meal. Nice since they'll be in WI and I in NJ for T'Day. The evening took an alarming turn when Seth suffered another fall on an after dinner walk with Hugh and Malcolm. He scraped his chin and it bled a lot, but he didn't seem to re-injure the foot and knee which still smart after the tumble at school. They've all noted a strange pipe that sticks up out of a sidewalk about 2 blocks from home, but he failed to recall it and couldn't see it in the dark. Hugh says there is no good reason for the pipe and he's going there today to saw it off. Locking the barn door a bit late, but hopefully saving others from the same fate. Poor Seth, I'm sure he isn't liking having to explain another boo-boo at school today.:(

Lolly said...

Sound on the cam is great. Oh, my, just heard a siren. I do believe we will hear the eagles fly in!

According to an OC post on their chat a new cam has been installed. Well, if they did that without trimming the tree there are going to be some irritated momsters.

Kay said...

HODA, the cam has always stopped at about that same time, just refresh it !

NatureNut said...

Thank you so much Jewel for telling us the new news!
PRAYERS for Lynn, Carolyn, Christie and all the med staff involved!
Altho it's cloudy, lots of bluebirds have been perching in shrubs outside the window! They are sending their greetings!!
And the camera is on??? Can't get it here, but can't wait to get home. I bet our eagles will bring a streamer that says, "We Love Lynn!"

stronghunter said...

Hi,

Thinking of Lynn.

Kay said...

SHARON ! Great pics of a very happy couple ! They are going to make beautiful music together ! Thanks for putting them on your blog !

stronghunter said...

Thanks for the information, Jewel.

Lolly said...

Hey, if a sub shows up, a Christmas garland is spotted, and a van flys, I bet eagles will show up with a "We love Lynn" banner.

stronghunter said...

So pleased to see that the live cam is up. Yay!

T-Bird said...

Love your avatar Eagle-Eye. I think I said this last week but everyone has such nice avatars. I rarely take Buddy of but the Redskins are up on the avatar list when it is football season. Sorry Buddy. : )

Lolly said...

For those who are just now showing up for our prayer time, Lynn has already been in surgery for over an hour.

Kay said...

The OC chatters are hilarious ! One of their lurkers will see our posts and set em' straight, I imagine.

Lori O. said...

LOL, Lolly!

Sharon, the pictures are gorgeous! She is very pretty. Andrew must be in head over heals love!

stronghunter said...

I know I saw that Christmas garland fly by recently. It is out there. I guess that makes almost two years for the windblown Christmas garland.

stronghunter said...

Beautiful couple, Sharon.

Lolly said...

I am sure that garland will be spotted many times this season!☺

Lolly said...

It was the OC channel itself that posted that a new cam had been installed, not one of the chatters.

Kay said...

LOL gLORI, you have healing on your mind ! Andrew and Kelsey are head over HEELS in love ! You can see it on their faces !!!!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

I hear rain at OUR NEST! Did you get that?? I HEAR rain at our nest! That means the live feed is up with sound!!! I am so loving this. I know you already knew this but . . .

Lolly said...

Lynn, we are thinking of you and lifting you up to the Almighty! Love you!♥

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Yes, they are definitely head over heels and heals in love! :)

Kay said...

LOLLY, thanks for the correction and my apologies to the OC chatters ! Can they install the cam without climbing the tree? Guess they opted to leave any sucker trimming until they do the electrical maintenance. Or, maybe they see no reason to trim ????

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

God is surrounding Lynn with a cocoon of all of our love and prayers!

Linda said...

Have read through some of the posts, but have been here praying for Lynn's surgery.

Anxious to see a post from Carolyn (Jewel) on how things went and how our Dear Lynn is doing.

So relieved and thrilled to hear they took her early rather than late for surgery. There is nothing worse than being prepped for surgery only to find out it will be delayed.

May God's Blessings be all around you throughout this day and the days to come, Lynn.

Kay said...

Love the prayerful sentiments being expressed for our dear, LYNN. Praying all the while I'm reading and posting. Nice thing about talking with God, it can be done constantly, even when tending to other things ! God is good !

I have just had a phone call from Carolyn...Please be strong when you read this, and continue to pray:

Lynn is out of surgery, and in recovery, is intubated, but doctors expect to remove that in a couple of hours and expect that Lynn will be breathing well on her own.
The doctors, found that this tumor is not just on her pancreas, but wrapped around the vessels of the spleen, and is also in the abdominal cavity, additional tumors.
It is not the small cell condition that Lynn had previously in her lungs, but is Adenocarcinoma. so probably not the same as what was in the lungs.
This could have resulted from prior radiation treatments, but that is not confirmed and may never be.
More tests are needed, pathology reports could take several days.
The doctors could NOT remove all the tumors; more will be determined once more testing is done, and chemotherapy will probably be needed.
Doctors said Lynn's lungs look good...
Carolyn does not know if her mother has been told the extent of the what was found during surgery.
The doctors said they will have Lynn up and moving around Wednesday.
Carolyn is there with her sister Christie and Christie's husband Shannon.
Carolyn has some more phone calls to make, and will try to call later.
She says this is not what we wanted, but We Are Strong....

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Wow! No words....

Oh, Margy, my heart is so heavy and I am finding it difficult to express my thoughts and feelings.

We have to remain strong in prayer and faith for Lynn. She has a tough road ahead of her.

We know God is in control and will keep Lynn in His loving arms. He promises to never leave or forsake us and I believe His Word.

We pray that your Spirit gives breath back to Lynn quickly and gives her strength to conquer this, Lord. It is through your precious Son Jesus we pray and with faith that You will heal. Amen

MARGY, no, Carolyn is right, this is not what we wanted to hear. I know we're all shedding tears now, but we remain steadfast in our prayers for complete healing. We don't always understand God's answers, but He has a plan for each of us and trust Him, we must. I'm thankful LYNN and JEWELS have us and that we all have each other to hold on to. Prayers going out for Christie, the sil's, granddaughters, her sister and mother.

I am thankful that they do her scan every 3 months.,otherwise this would not have been caught this soon.

Lori O. said...

Thanks Margy, I have the information but am just in shock.

(((((((Big GROUP HUG))))))))

You are all right in remaining strong and faithful. We must pray for a full healthy recovery for Lynn. What a shock. I love you all.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

I could really use Belle and Shep to show up about now! (Forgive me)

stronghunter said...

Hope your doctor can help fix that trigger finger, Margy. You need to be able to type away on that new computer painlessly so that we can hear from you often.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Sandra said "May she be held in eagle's wings". I am bawling over here. Wish we lived closer!!!

Lolly said...

I am just numb, just did not expect this.

Lynn, we love you! And, we are going to be with you every step of the way through treatment.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Now, the name Shep means more and more to me. I pray that name wins!!

Lolly said...

Yes, talk about feeling far away!

stronghunter said...

I would like to suggest that we hold onto those eagle names. There are so many good names there that we can use for future baby eagles.

stronghunter said...

But we are all close together on here, Lolly.

Special place in my heart for Lynn -

Judie said...

Good afternoon.

I spoke with Carolyn just a few minutes ago. I will be going to see Lynn around dinner time. Carolyn is to call again to give me the room number. She did not indicate whether Lynn has been given any information. I think not as she had just been extubated and was still sleeping.

Margy and Shirley were kind enough to provide the surgery update. As Carolyn said: not the news we wanted but we are strong.

I will give momster/dadster hugs and love when I see Lynn. Momster/dadster prayers and love are magical.

Mema Jo said...

I have received and read Sharon's email
I have received phone message from Judi
I am going to call her in a few since
she will be visiting.
I just can't say it in words as to how I feel - I will be strong for my friend. ((hugs to all))

Linda said...

Judie - You said Carolyn told you Lynn had just been extubated?

That is a bit of good news in that she is breathing on her own? That was my first prayer and certainly a concern of Lynn's.

Praying her breathing is good.....

stronghunter said...

Judie, you will be an excellent ambassador for the group. Thank you for representing us.

wvgal_dana said...

Glo you are here your test worked.

I changed my avaatar to one my Dad likes. The male cardinal.

Judie will takes ((((HUGS))))) to Lynn and Carolyn and Christie for us.

Ms Bookworm said...

Hello, Everyone,
I'm back. The news isn't quite what I had expected, but we all must remain strong in the Lord. If He could raise Lazarus, then Lynn's healing shouldn't be a problem. I agree, Judie will be a wonderful ambassador for all of us! Prayers continue! Prayers for Lynn's whole family, too.
(((BIG GROUP HUG!!!)))

Mema Jo said...

Shirley I just finished talking with Judi and you are right that she will represent us well. I know Lynn had said to me to wait and visit once she got home. We'll know more when Judi gets over there and back to the blog. Not sure that Lynn has been told everything yet as they may be waiting for Surgeon's visit. Carolyn mentioned about Lynn will be gotten up tomorrow -
I think it a good idea, Unless we know they are keeping her a long length of time, to go ahead and send
cards to her home address like Lolly suggested. They could send her home Thur and the cards would never reach her. Right now it is just a wait and see status - Oh how my heart is breaking. ((hugs to all ))

DanaMo said...

I can't believe we have the cam!
Have we heard from Lynn yet? Maybe I should keep reading...

Mema Jo said...

I sent message to Helen and Ceil.
I will call Suzanne.
I suppose Wanda is at Church and will
wait until she is home for her to receive the news.

Mema Jo said...

Just read back farther and see that Margy called Wanda......

stronghunter said...

DanaMo, read Margy (Magpie's) 2:47 post. Not what we had wished to hear.

stronghunter said...

Lolly is having trouble posting. I have had some problems as well.

EM Candles - Light a candle for Lynn

Sissy set this up for us.

stronghunter said...

If you are having trouble posting, I say just keep clicking. The worst that can happen is a stutter.

DanaMo said...

Oh my...read on and found my answer. Not what we wanted to hear at all.

stronghunter said...

Do I hear an eagle?

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Mema Jo, Paula set the candles up, I just put in on FB!

Kay said...

Perhaps the blog bogs down when so many are sending messages at once ??? If so, no way for us to control. This is certainly going to be a high volume post day.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

GLO JUST SENT THIS TO ME ON FB TO POST FOR HER:

I have tried 4 times to put more than just the word test on the BLOG but blogger is giving me fits Would you please post this for me

OK this is attempt number 4. If this doesn't work i guess I will give it up BUT I am trying to say that prayers for Lynn are going up from IL too. Will someone let me know when we have address and room number. Thanks and Group Hug.

Thanks for your help Bev.

Kay said...

Be sure to put the candle site in Favorites so you can go back and relight your candle as needed without trying to find Paula's post about setting it up.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

There is an eagle in our nest!!

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Gone!

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Never did see it on the live feed though. Did anyone else?

Kay said...

I'm on live cam and don't see it. Are you looking at still cam, Sissy ?

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

I was looking at both and saw it on the still cam, not the live feed, but it was only for a second.

DanaMo said...

Here is the prayer to St. Peregrine that I prayed while my dad was being treated for his lung cancer.
Prayer to St. Peregrine

O God, who gave to St. Peregrine an Angel for his companion, the Mother of God for his Teacher, and Jesus as the Physician of his malady, grant we beseech You through his merits that we may on earth intensely love our Holy Angel, the blessed Virgin Mary, and our Saviour, and in Him bless them forever. Grant that we may receive the favor which we now petition. We ask this through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

(say 7 Our Fathers, 7 Hail Marys and 7 Glory be to the Fathers with
the invocation "St. Peregrine, pray for us.")

Kay said...

The live feed runs according to the clock, but I've stared at it and can't detect an iota of movement. Usually you can spot a little leaf or twig movement even on a very calm and windless day.

Linda said...

What about Iris?

I'll try sending her an email as well.

DanaMo said...

Where are the candles? I can't find the post.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

The candles are on Mema Jo's 4:37 post.

Linda said...

JudyE will want to know as well. Was she getting her computer back tonight?

Haven't seen HODA this afternoon either.

(((((GROUP HUG)))))

I have to go get ready for our small group meeting tonight, but my heart will be with Lynn, Carolyn, Christie, Shannon and all of you.

My thoughts and prayers will continue.

Love you all..........

Lolly said...

I have had sound today at the nest.

Lolly said...

Wheeeeee, I got on. Was having the same problem as Glo.

I want you to know I will not be on for a few hours this evening. We are having friends over for dinner. Certainly not in the mood now! Wamt to be on here with you.♥

DanaMo said...

Thanks...I had missed it.

Lori O. said...

You can see a tree about 2 oclock, below the nest moving with the wind.

Kay said...

Try to enjoy your guests and dinner, LOLLY. Some of us will be here when you return. We all have things we must leave for, but will be here in spirit all the time !

Lori O. said...

We don't want you to leave, Lolly, but certainly understand that you and Linda has prior committments, It's okay. ♥♥
