Lynn - I read back most of what I missed looking for your scheduling and was happy to see you have an appointment to get things rolling next Wednesday. Will be praying for you, Gal! ♥
Glad to hear your chimney liner was put in as well. Not happy to hear the $$$ set back.
Lynn - Thanks for the advice for warm compresses, too. I have noticed that the last few days, the pain in the ear almost subsides after my nightly hot shower.
I had told Dennis it didn't make sense that my ear kills me all day and then at night it seems to be better. I told him it must have had something to do with daylight and night! LOL
Then when I realized it could be the hot shower, which I many times take early just after or before dinner, I was wondering if that had any affect..... Hmmm
Lynn, it took less than a bottle but that's all I had. I steamed cleaned it and there are still some VERY slight marks so I'll pick more up on the way home.
Puddles ate SOMETHING last night in the dark for our last walk. I think it was dirt. She is such a mess! I gave her a little Pepto and just a little food.
Lynne - I am going to get one for Riley, too. He keeps us up many nights!!
The latest thing I did that has been working, is I will put his collar on and leash him to the bed right next to me. It worked the last few storms and I have no idea why. Otherwise, he either gets in the tub and scratches or goes down to the basement and scratches like he wants to get out.
Good Good Morning! Cool & crisp! Hubby has nasty cold that hits his voice box - rough talking. JudyE, I thought it was a good idea but perhaps the emails hadn't been opened before the new thread.
I wanted all of you to know that our very special Momster, Suzanne is working/lunch for her last day! RETIREMENT looms! You can email only on her yahoo address - after & if she gets that laptop. Congratulations SUZ
Linda.....most things reach a point where ice is ineffective. Heat stimulates the circulation and that often gets the endorphins flowing...hence, some relief!
I have just found a dead starling out front. It has oil all over it. I'm really mad. I know when they dragged the old tank out to the back "dumping grounds" that oil spilled out the whole way. It's all over the trail where we walk the dogs and we must be careful where we are stepping. Maybe the starling was trying to bathe in a puddle out there that had oil in it. UGH.
Reporting in to let LOLLY, JACK and LYNNE know I walked my mile and it did feel good ! I'm sure I can go back to the 2 mile walk next week. Have also had a couple of large glasses of water so far today. Aren't I a good girl ? Let me know how it goes for you !
Heading for Hot Topics on The View and will visit with y'all later in the day.
Many thanks to STEVE for the nice new thread and to LINDA for calling us over !
I'm doing well on the water Kay! Haven't hit the elliptical yet though...had to do the carpet and the bedclothes and now must walk the dogs and head to work. Hopefully after work if the there are no animal disasters!
Paula, I agree about not calling the male any of the new names until we have decided on one.
Gotcha' PAULA ! I used "Yet to be named male" to start weaning myself away from the T name. We've all pretty much had our say on which name we favor and why. Time to end the campaign and let the vote decide it. Thanks again for the time and labor it's taking to pull it all together !
For sure You will get 30 lashes with the Wet Noodle & if you continue You will get 10 strikes with the canes (and there are a lot of us with canes) loL ♥
Well, I had a nice beautiful announcement about Suz's retirement....and then lost phone and internet connection. Thank goodness it's all back now and I see that Jo already posted the news!!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS TO SUZ as she begins this new phase of her life!
Lynn, go ahead with your beautiful announcement for Suz - She started our early early daybreak morning and she deserves lots of attention! You could even announce it on EM. When she has time, she will shop for a laptop - BUT for the first week she will NOT get in the car to go anywhere.
She really deserves all the good wishes we will give!
Thanks Lynn I did find that is what I have. Still glad I ask you cause I couldn't find it. I too hope he surgery is soon. So you can be back home and have a "full recovery with God healing you completely". (((hugs)))
Oh Wow Oh Wow!!!!! Suzanne is working her last day....sniffle sniffle Oh that is just great for Suzanne (((((((many hugs))))))) It is finally happening!!!! Happy Happy for her..Yes I hope she gets a laptop or something for at home. So she can watch the cams and talk with us.....Thank you Mema Jo.
Today is Suz's last work day! After tomorrow she is officially retired!!!! CONGRATS, Suz! You deserve it!!
Suz will be getting a puter soon ....then we can reach her through her yahoo address. But for next week, she has promised the car NO motion!!!! She may shop for a puter this weekend, tho'!
Oh Diann new windows to keep that cold air out. That will be great!! After having the torn meniscus fixed in my right knee Diann I had no more problems or pain. Weather does not bother that knee or leg.
I agree with others on here that Ben and Belle has a nice "ring" to it. To date, no one here has submitted that name for the male eagle. I understand that name has a special meaning for you. The OC forum can call the male eagle anything they desire.
Unfortunately, the name Ben brings up negative connotations for most of us here, as Benjamin Franklin was adamantly opposed to the eagle as our nations symbol...he wanted the turkey.
Kay nice that you have lost some weight. When I could do walking even just slow walking. I always lost weight. lol slow walking is how I tore my menicus. I knew it as soon as it happened but thought I could still get around without going to the doctor. I knew I couldn't do the walking anymore. It was funny though when I went to my pain doctor. I told him about it. "No, No, No, walking stay in the pool. Only people that want to loose weight do the walking". I looked at him and said, "Dr. Gopal look at me I think and you should think I should loose some of this weight." "Well yes but you can't do walking only in the pool. No machines only things you can do in the pool." So since he couldn't help my back because the problem I created with the right knee was causing what he does not to hold. SO it was off to the Ortho dr. that did my left knee replacement. Oh how I long to walk Kay....you will just never know how I long and sometimes I do cry because I want to walk. I force myself to stop crying and tell myself to get over it their are worst things you could be dealing with. Like dying to want to eat a salad!! grrr Sorry I guess I just vented on all of you. Kay enjoy your walking wish I could walk with you all; Kay, Lynne, Lolly and Jack.
JudyE greatyou quit smoking. I quit in 1973 when there wasn't all this stuff around to help you quit. It was cold turkey-through the packs away. I was in hospital at time. One of the aids was going to store wanted to know if I wanted anything. Yes 2 boxes of plastic straws. When she came back we cut the straw in half. That is what I smoked. lol Sometimes when I wanted a cig. real badly I would about chew those straws up. lol
Moring Shirley that is a nice looking bowling ball you purchased. How is practice coming along? I see Flash is getting a tug also. That is so nice of Lori. ( : Sorry Flash has an upset tummy..hope he feels better. lol you got a hiss from George well at least you know he is there.
These that say Morning and it is now afternoon. Where written earlier and I haven't had time to get them on the blog.
Morning Sharon the mother of the wonderful Andrew ( :
I see Andy is making her morning visit. WOW your husband can sure cook plus he brought you presents nice!! Oh its not over yet he is taking you out to dinner on Saturday. Now that is a Birthday that isn't stopping lol
Lynne sounds like you whipped the carpet oil problem.
When we had 3 dogs and 1 cat. We had a different feeding area for each. That way we knew they each got their amount of food. Plus if one didn't eat we knew it was sick.
Hope the one that has the tummy upset feels better.
Oh Diann new windows to keep that cold air out. That will be great!! After having the torn meniscus fixed in my right knee Diann I had no more problems or pain. Weather does not bother that knee or leg.
I don't have any of those problem with my right knee where they did the meniscus surgery. All good to go!!
Good Morning already at school little Miss yellow brick road gal. Oh DanaMo I am sorry Andrew is not responding to what you are trying to get through to him. Keeping him in prayers.
Morning sweet Margy ( : Yes watch out for those deer. So sorry about the upstairs tentant.
Hi, Everyone, Well, Emma & I are fed, and I've surveyed the damage in the yard. Hate those winds! I need to go get some BIG trash bags, and I'm going to look for a big push broom while I'm there. A little kitchen broom just isn't get the job done. Here's a picture of our patio. On Tues. after the gardeners left, there was not a SINGLE leaf on the ground. Now they are 4-6" deep, everywhere! They are GREEN leaves, too, not dried-up ones! Aargh!
Lynne, sorry to hear that you (Oops--and Shirley, too!) have a yurping pup. Hope things get better, real soon! Prayers!
Shirley----practice makes perfect!!! Believe me, I have no athletic ability, either, so don't feel bad!!! I did well in basketball as a teen....but that's it!! I have always blamed it on being left-handed, LOL!
K-I moved the dishes from one side of the sink to the other, does that count as a chore? I think I'll vacuum too. I do this just to make sure I get my star for the day.
********************* Weird haps here in So Cal. We had a one day Santa Ana yesterday; it got up over 80°; I never opened the sliding door; I never turned on the A/C; but I froze all morning, and never got very warm all day!!
And I feel cold again today, although I feel about as healthy as I can at my age. Definitely not the usual condition for me
Time to get my clothes changed and put Liesl in her crate. Off to do a few errands before the memorial service. See you all later this afternoon or early evening.
SHARON, happiness is spending time with a precious son or daughter ! Bad news from your house. THELMA tried to vacuum, but the durn belt on the infernal machine broke. She gets an A for effort, right ?
ANDY, Bullhead City, AZ was always in for it when those Santa Ana winds came along. Glad I'm not there for the windy, dusty mess !You have a super duper Kubby ! That birthday meal had to be scrumptious !
JO, get well wishes for your hubby ! He needs to feel good for that upcoming anniversary.
SUZANNE, just saw your picture a couple of days ago when looking at some of the Open House albums. Hope you enjoy retirement as much as I do. It's a great life ! Oh, I know you won't see this--will send it on EM mail.
WVgal DANA, too bad walking is difficult for you. Ask the doc about some form of low impact exercises for we all need them for good health. Yoga maybe ? Raschida has been added to the prayer list and John was already there due to the seizures you've told us about before.
This darn thing has gone down 7 times this am and I am droping it at a puter place on the way to Angies tonight I noticed since I threatened to take it its staying up Just a fluke I'm sure so if I disappear you know why Angie was going to put something on facebook I didn't think I could get it back up so I better power it down before I do any damage I got a mssage about a core not for sure what it is but although its working now I am unplugging it and odd being it was unplugged while I was on vacation I wonder if that could have done something to it It was fine until then OK unplugging now to be safe I may sign on at Angies later when I am there BYE
JIM, I don't know what your age is, but I do know how miserable it is to feel like you're freezing. Not a sensation you Southern Californians get very often ! Here's some sunshine for you ☼☼☼ !
Good morning/ Good afternoon to all. I have not caught up with the blog. A bit of a slow morning here and I am on my way out, but wanted to check in with a morning/afternoon greeting before I did so. I hope everyone is well and I hope you saw the eagles this morning...I can not wait to catch up on the blog. LYNN I hope the knee is tolerable today and that it is not causing you too much trouble. Thinking of you. LINDA same with the pain you were eperiencing I hope it is more tolerable today and that it is manageable till your appointment and that he comes up with a good solution...
Hi, Everyone, Well, I got a really nice push broom at Walmart. (Already have a big rake.) Have been out front sweeping leaves on the driveway, and on our neighbor's walk to their side door. (Still lots of leaves on their driveway, but 2 cars and a truck are parked there, too.) After about 45 min. of that, I'm ready for a breather--and some lunch! Found out the hard way that it's nearly impossible to scoop leaves into a big trash bag without someone (hmmm...Kubby?) to hold the durn bag open. Will wait to do more until he's home from work, and has had a little while to rest up. Got a huge box of leaf bags, too. I feel so bad that our trees make such a mess for our neighbors next door! Wish we could afford to get all 3 of them trimmed way back, but it would be 5 or 6 thousand dollars, minimum! Talk about murdering the checkbook! Also, there are Cooper's Hawks nesting in one of those trees, and can't disturb them, for sure! In a bit of a quandary as to what to do. May call and ask our gardeners how much they would want to clean the leaves outta here. They have already charged us extra to reseed our lawn front and back this month, though (without asking first), and it looked like they just did it all over again on Tuesday. They had reset our sprinkler timer (again, without asking!), and both lawns and the parkway now are pretty brown. They set the sprinklers to run for 5 minutes, only 2 days a week! No grass seed sprouted--wonder why! Grrrr... Think I need a new gardener. Oh--they're predicting a 60-70% chance of showers tomorrow. Hope they're wrong--wet, green leaves weigh a ton! :o[
Say, Jim, know what you mean about feeling cold in the house. It's been getting fairly cool (50) at night, and our house stays pretty cool during the day, because the big trees shade it well. Kind of need a sweater in the house, but it's warm outside.
KAY....OH..KAY!!!! We just finished walking with Leslie...2 miles! And, Lynne, doing great with the water. Thank you, Buds! You have challenged me and that was what I needed! (((Hugs)))
LOLLY, good for you and JACK ! For some strange reason it helped me today to think, I'm not doing this alone, LOLLY, JACK and LYNNE are in this with me ! This blog is amazing in that I feel like I'm having real conversations and experiences with others. And yet, is all electronic ! Does that make sense ?
ANDY, you got some good exercise today, too and have something to show for it. Right on !
It was a 60 degree and sunny day here, so I cleaned my deck. I discarded 3 pots of begonias and one Boston Fern that have not liked the few cold mornings we've had lately. There are two pots of geraniums that are still green and ready to do another bloom as well as another fern that still looks good. Perhaps because it was closer to the building than the other ??? Marigolds, coleus and chrysanthemums are all long gone. Cleaned the pots n' saucers and stored them in the garage. All just piddling around, but it felt good !
Oh, and my once pretty little pine tree is long gone, too. Will try again next year, but will put it in a different spot. It was such a horribly hot summer and I think the tree was also too near A/C's and the blast of heat they put off when running.
Hope to BBL, going to warm up some mashed taters n' pot roast for dinner in front of PBS News Hour and Jeopardy. I like Thursday night TV--Grey's Anatomy and The Mentalist. My illness turned me into more of a couch potato and TV viewer, I'm afraid.
It's just Hunter and me tonight. Kathryn is attending a class. I had not mentioned this before, but she recently found out that she is diabetic.
She is learning how to manage it. She has not told Hunter yet. I took her a little while to tell me. I am not sure she has told anyone else at this point.
I know she will need to tell others, but first she has to have a little time to face it herself.
Hello...I'm home. Got all my errands run before the service, so here I am already! Grabbed a sub on my way home, so eating now. I was very disappointed in the GM turn-out----or lack thereof. Only 5 of us. I was reminded that tomorrow is our monthly breakfast, too....completely forgot!
HUGE SUNSPOT: One of the biggest sunspot groups in many years has just emerged over the sun's eastern limb. The sunspot's magnetic canopy is crackling with M-class (medium-sized) solar flares and seems poised to launch even stronger X-class eruptions. The sunspot, named AR1339, is not yet directly facing Earth but it will be turning toward our planet in the days ahead. Check http://spaceweather.com for images of the behemoth and updates.
Well I am back and caughtr up with the blog...Thanks for the post on the very short visit this morning.
It is amazingly beautiful here today. Gray with shut in clouds and then clearing spaces to see how far the snow has come down the mountain, then I see cars with snow, they must be from Uphill, an area of Nelson. I live in Fairview and the snwo is mixed with rain and it meltso n touching...trees are losing their leaves fast and yet there is an array of colours that continues to dazzle me...It is 38 degrees and it was so fresh to do yoga with an open window...fresh fresh fresh air and how blessed I felt that I am able to breathe...LIFE IS GOOOOOOOOOOD.
DanaWV---state laws require revocation of licenses until a patient has been seizure-free for a specific period of time. Individual drs. can't make that determination and it technically is irrelevant when the seizures occur. Day or night doesn't matter......I know it would be terrible for John to lose his job, but it would be even worse for him to kill himself, Raschida or someone else on the road IF he did have a seizure while driving. I know at one point the law used to be 5 YRS. seizure-free.
Kay, my lone Mum bit the dust while I was gone--guess the snow did that!
Thelma--- :( the belt is always the first thing to go----and it often repeats!!!! I gave up on uprights and went back to a canister type----haven't had anything happen to it except had to replace the cord. I've had it for about 10 yrs.
Andy---you can scoop up leaves with two trash can lids and stuf the bags that way......works fairly well!
LOLLY----did you hear Simon Cowell last night tell the one female singer at the end of X-Factor "Good ON you" the way Hoda does??? Definitely must be a BRITISH influence!!!
Oh, Shirley, so sorry that Kathryn is diabetic. That is such a big adjustment and life change. Can she control it with diet or is she dependent on insulin?
Yes, tonight is Grey's and PP. Love both those shows!
Have finished adding address into the address program. Now to make some adjustments, do some checking and then learn how to print a hard copy and to print address labels. Why do they make programs so hard to figure out?
Have also been going through torn out but not yet tried recipes. Trying to get organized!
I'm back to report on my Dentist appointment. They couldn't take the x-ray because I couldn't get my mouth open far enough to get that awful piece of cardboard with the x-ray film on it in my mouth.
The dentist told the girl not to take the x-ray. We talked about what has been going on and he said I really need to give it another week or even up to a few weeks to let things settle down. Sure, he's not in pain!!!
He said that normally when they do a root canal they put some sort of clamp on the tooth and put some sort of dam in the mouth. He couldn't do that in my case because there wasn't enough room for me. It was either extract the tooth or keep the mouth open and very still.
I opted for the latter and he said normally he wouldn't even do a root canal like that, but I did so good, it made his job easy.
He said keeping the mouth tense and open like that for so long obviously added to the symptoms I had already been having.
He said to use moist heat, light exercises on the jaw, not to open it more than what feels okay without pain, and take whatever I can stand for pain if necessary. He wants to see me again in a month.
I'm not happy, but he did say I don't need to see an ENT and he feels certain this is all related and it will just take time.
I do feel he is a really good endodontist, so I will wait another week and see if things improve even a little. Some improvement would be HUGE at this point!!
I don't know if I can do with out a computer for a couple of days Angie is going over lessons with Jordyn so I only have a few min to play Lite is fading from nest
"Good on ya mate" is also Australian English. Chad my yoga teacher often tells me "Good on ya Hoda" and I smile...He is a 20 something yoga teacher and is amazed that a 63 year old body can move as well...He is a good chap!!!
HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY DANCE, my hands are shaking I forgot to drink my tea and it is getting cooler and LIFE IS SOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOD even though I did not bold my report!!!
LOLLY you were right they came back!!! I did look at them PAULa my eyes were glued to the camera and at first I could not believe what I was seeing...LOL
LOLLY this is a BEAUTIFUL picture of you and Jack. I am glad he started a fire and that it is warm at your place.
I hope Kathryn is coping well with her diagnosis SHIRLEY. My sister had to have insulin most of her life. She was diagnosed as a 9 year old and she had it for fifty years. I agree with LYNN I hope it can be controlled by diet or oral medication. My sister had to have injections twice a day.
Well, dern, I missed them again! Wish I had my computer hooked up to my TV like Bill does at the store! Then I wouldn't miss them when I have to walk away (unless I had to go to the basement). :(
The following is a post from JUDY B one of the Administrators of WOW site:
Thanks for the reports, Hoda, and I'm looking forward to learning the "official" name for Belle's new partner.
IrishEyes from the Hancock Wildlife forum got a number of s'caps of both eagles visiting the nest - link to her first post with a picture is http://www.hancockwildlife.org/forum/viewtopic.php?topic=281847#281847, and "Smitty" is the Hancock forum nickname for the male, short for "smitten" based on his courtship behavior over the summer.
Had a funny experience playing Scrabble this afternoon. Got paired with a young guy who was obviously more interested in chatting than playing.
He asked me a variety of questions, ending with a question about what I was interested in chatting about. I said I liked to focus on the game. He resigned. Just as well. I would say he was about 15.
Perhaps he will find another 15-year-old out there.
SHIRLEY I am laughing at your scrabble partner and his reaction to focusing on the game...YES INDEEDY maybe he will find another 15 year old!!! You are funny!!!
oh Linda, I'm so very sorry that the Dr couldn't offer more help. Geez. I've just never known anyone to have such trouble after a root canal. But hopefully the pain will ease soon as he predicts.
LINDA I read your report on the dentist visit today...I see no immediate solutions, and I hope time will make it heal with the warm moist compress...PRAYERS come your way.
WOW, sorry to hear that Kathryn is diabetic. Well, she AND you can join our walking program! Hope she handles it well....can't even imagine. Although I WILL be if I don't keep up this better eating stuff.
Wow busy night for me. Making centerpieces for the dinner tables for the big event this weekend. Just posted my parent's wedding picture on my picture blog. I will also post my picture, I'm wearing my mom's gown.
Very happy there was a second visit. Son and family were here for dinner & they got to see the first visit
ON FB I just shared an eagle pic from local Martinsburg gal. Hoping to find out the location. Large beautiful bald eagle alongside the road in a grassy area.
OK I am off to my conditioning class to get conditioned I presume...it will not only be the Dragon Boat group I have to keep up with but my BLOG WAlKING GROUP...two miles a day WAY TO GO YOU ALL. YOU ROCK
Hmmm, I'm clueless about the Hancock group and about WOW. They were certainly nice to call the male Smitty for Smitten while we were considering him a marauding intruder ! LOL
I used to listen to a late night radio talk show, out of Oregon. The host used "Good on you" frequently and I soon found myself using it, too. I'm a good little parrot !
Oh, LINDA, what a bummer. Did the doc give you an Rx for another pain killer or did he mean OTC ? Hope the pain subsides soon !
JUDYE, you are in serious danger of severe withdrawal pains. Hope the puter comes home in A1 condition !
SHIRLEY, sorry to hear about Kathryn's diagnosis. At least it's something that can be worked with and not a terminal disease. I've controlled mine for over 2 years using only diet and exercise. If I can, anyone can and if the household adopts her diet you'll all be healthier for it ! I wish her much success as she learns to manage it. DANAMO recently received that diagnosis, too. It's becoming epidemic. Food processors have done a number on us, using too much sugar and too much salt in products, so that we crave way more of both than we need or should have. Here I go soapboxing it again, but it's another topic I'm passionate about !
LYNN, the Sunspot info is interesting ! Too bad about the poor GM turnout for the service. I hope Kathie has the support of lots family and friends. Is the burial to be in AZ ?
It's not a death sentence for sure if you do what you are suppose to do, but is very hard for someone like me who is a junk food addict. I have tried to have my snacks in moderation, but with Halloween and the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday's I think I will wait til spring to have my blood work checked again!!!
What, Lynn? You can not put Liesl on the arm of the chair like Annie? LOL Yep, you are right, a pup belongs in the lap!
I love it! Our Cyclone Shirley has gone wild with retirement...a Cougar!!! roflmbo!! Oh, just think what they would say back at the ol' school house!!☺
Dinner was yummy. I had made chicken enchiladas earlier in the week, so just reheated them tonight but fixed Mexican rice to go with it. Very very good!
DANAMO, lovely wedding pictures. You look soooo much like your Mom ! Two beauties ! Do you check your own glucose levels at home ? I loved sweets, too, but adopted the attitude that due to my own bad habits I've already had my lifetime allottment of them. It doesn't mean you can't have an occasional sliver of birthday cake or a favorite pie. You'll learn how to compensate for those things that take you off the straight and narrow path occasionally. If I get a high glucose reading, I immediately drink a large glass or two of water and/or go for a walk. The level will come right back down to your norm within about 30 minutes. Yep, I'm passionate about this. My doctor says she wishes I could give classes to her other diabetic patients ! I said, get em' together and I will !
Kathryn is supposed to have snacks and watch carbs.
She has another class next Thursday. I had just assumed that the class was local, but I think she said it's at Potomac Hospital in Woodbridge. Not sure.
HODA, thanks for sharing WOW and the Hancock site with me ! I wonder how many groups there are that follow our NCTC eagles ? Apparently they all use Belle when speaking of our female and I'm guessing they used Liberty until the events of this year unfolded. Interesting !

Hope everyone has a wonderful day today. Hoping to get some answers today for my ongoing pain!!
♥
Hi Linda,

And, thanks for the new thread, Steve.
Thanks for the new thread STEVE it is well needed the other was about to blow
Thanks for the call over Linda!! You are #1 Momster today!!
Dana, next Weds. for consultation. I expect that the surgery date will be set---and I hope it is very soon. Want to get this over with!!!
and Thanks STEVE for giving us our still cam back can't wait till the live come back
Good morning again my fine friends.
Changing my avatar to some pretty fall foliage.
MEMEJO doesn't look like Steve wanted to use the pictures ;-(
Yo homies! :)
Hi Shirley, Lynn, Judy, Thelma & Sharon!
Hmmm
I am so over this pain...
Sharon - Glad you got to see your super, terrific, handsome, wonderful, intelligent, loving son this weekend!!
I know that awesome feeling!
That Thundershirt is great for any type of anxiety, they say. I will save up for one for next year.
Strange, but so sad.
Well, I better get moving and on with my day. My appointment is at 1pm today, so we shall see.
TTFN ♥
Good Good Morning! Cool & crisp!
Hubby has nasty cold that hits his
voice box - rough talking.
JudyE, I thought it was a good idea but
perhaps the emails hadn't been opened
before the new thread.
I wanted all of you to know that our
very special Momster, Suzanne is working/lunch for her last day! RETIREMENT looms! You can email only
on her yahoo address - after & if she gets that laptop.
UGH.
Good for Suzanne!
and Good Luck today at the Dr Linda! I'll try to check in from work for an update later!
Just a thought....I know that everyone is excited about all the names floating around and the upcoming vote for our males name.
But in all fairness, I think everyone should refrain from calling Belle's mate any of the suggested names until we have actually voted on a name.
JMHO
Reporting in to let LOLLY, JACK and LYNNE know I walked my mile and it did feel good ! I'm sure I can go back to the 2 mile walk next week. Have also had a couple of large glasses of water so far today. Aren't I a good girl ? Let me know how it goes for you !
Heading for Hot Topics on The View and will visit with y'all later in the day.
Many thanks to STEVE for the nice new thread and to LINDA for calling us over !
Linda, hope you get some relief.
Lynne, are you off today or going in later and working this evening? Sorry about the oily mess, some people just don't care about our environment.
Off I go...have a good day all!
Paula, you would DIE if you saw the dump out back....sure wish someone from the EPA would happen to stumble upon it.....Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
So if the name that I love doesn't win and should I keep calling him that name, will I be evicted from the blog? Just wondering.
Gotcha' PAULA ! I used "Yet to be named male" to start weaning myself away from the T name. We've all pretty much had our say on which name we favor and why. Time to end the campaign and let the vote decide it. Thanks again for the time and labor it's taking to pull it all together !
For sure You will get 30 lashes with the Wet Noodle & if you continue You
will get 10 strikes with the canes
(and there are a lot of us with canes)
loL ♥
Kay I do NOT have the correct email address nor your mailing address...
Could you email it to me? No Christmas
card if you don't!
Well, I had a nice beautiful announcement about Suz's retirement....and then lost phone and internet connection. Thank goodness it's all back now and I see that Jo already posted the news!!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS TO SUZ as she begins this new phase of her life!

Soon to be named and I'll try not
to say Truder!
Sure hope Suz finally decides to get internet so she can join us once again.
Yea, I'm trying to get out of the Truder mode too, Jo.
Lynn, go ahead with your beautiful
announcement for Suz - She started our
early early daybreak morning and she deserves lots of attention! You could even announce it on EM.
When she has time, she will shop for a laptop - BUT for the first week she will NOT get in the car to go anywhere.
She really deserves all the good wishes
we will give!
Thanks for the new thread Steve. Hope you are having a good day. Happy the still cam is up. ty guy ( :

Good morning! Congratulations to Suz! Would love to have her back on here with her morning dissertation.☺
Really slow moving this morning. We slept late and I am just now finishing up my coffee.
Doing great with my water...have not walked yet! But, I will...I promise! Good for you, Kay!
Three Stoodges...hated them! I was a horrible mother and would not let Michael watch them. lol
Good morning, Linda. It was great to open this new thread and see your name at the top. Wishing you well with your doctors visit.

Suz will be getting a puter soon ....then we can reach her through her yahoo address. But for next week, she has promised the car NO motion!!!! She may shop for a puter this weekend, tho'!
I am thankful for my jubby!☺♥
Time to get a serious start on my day! Not walking until this afternoon. Jubby has left to run errands and have lunch with his lunch buddies.
Have a great day!
Oh Diann new windows to keep that
cold air out. That will be great!!
After having the torn meniscus
fixed in my right knee Diann I had
no more problems or pain.
Weather does not bother that knee
or leg.
To onewith aka Sue
I agree with others on here that Ben and Belle has a nice "ring" to it. To date, no one here has submitted that name for the male eagle. I understand that name has a special meaning for you. The OC forum can call the male eagle anything they desire.
Unfortunately, the name Ben brings up negative connotations for most of us here, as Benjamin Franklin was adamantly opposed to the eagle as our nations symbol...he wanted the turkey.
Kay nice that you have lost some
weight. When I could do walking
even just slow walking. I always
lost weight. lol slow walking is
how I tore my menicus. I knew it
as soon as it happened but thought
I could still get around without
going to the doctor. I knew I
couldn't do the walking anymore.
It was funny though when I went
to my pain doctor. I told him
about it. "No, No, No, walking
stay in the pool. Only people
that want to loose weight do
the walking". I looked at him
and said, "Dr. Gopal look at
me I think and you should think
I should loose some of this weight."
"Well yes but you can't do walking
only in the pool. No machines only
things you can do in the pool." So
since he couldn't help my back because the problem I created with the right knee was causing what he does not to hold. SO it was off to the Ortho dr. that did my left knee replacement.
Oh how I long to walk Kay....you will just never know how I long and sometimes I do cry because I want to walk. I force myself to stop crying and tell myself
to get over it their are worst things you could be dealing with.
Like dying to want to eat a salad!! grrr Sorry I guess I just vented on all of you. Kay enjoy
your walking wish I could walk with you all; Kay, Lynne, Lolly and Jack.
Kay - I am ok with your correct email
address - I gave you 2 "t's" instead of just one! Now I feel better!
Sharon I know you know I was kidding about 'wet noodles' (that was Glo's) and 'eagle canes' (that was Norma)
I'll just 'hug you to death' OKAY
loL ((hugs)
( : Sorry Flash has an upset tummy..hope he feels better.
lol you got a hiss from George well
at least you know he is there.
Morning Thelma looks like Buddy is going to get a tug that Lori made. Neat!!!!
These that say Morning and it is now afternoon. Where written earlier and I haven't had time to get them on the blog.

I see Andy is making her morning visit.
WOW your husband can sure cook plus he brought you presents nice!! Oh its not over yet he is taking you out to dinner
on Saturday. Now that is a Birthday that isn't stopping lol
Congrats and best wishes, Suz!
Lynne sounds like you whipped the carpet oil problem.
When we had 3 dogs and 1 cat. We had a different feeding area for each. That way we knew they each got their amount of food. Plus if one didn't eat we knew it was sick.
Hope the one that has the tummy upset feels better.
I like that Lolly, "time to get a serious start on my day." : )
Jo, tell Mr. Ed to gargle with warm salt water!!! And not to force talking or even whispering!!!
Oh Diann new windows to keep that
cold air out. That will be great!!
After having the torn meniscus
fixed in my right knee Diann I had
no more problems or pain.
Weather does not bother that knee
or leg.
I don't have any of those problem with my right knee where they did the meniscus surgery. All good to go!!
Good Morning already at school
little Miss yellow brick road
gal. Oh DanaMo I am sorry Andrew
is not responding to what you
are trying to get through to
him. Keeping him in prayers.
Morning sweet Margy ( : Yes watch
out for those deer. So sorry about
the upstairs tentant.
Yes, Jo, I did know that. You love me - NO MATTER WHAT!
Bowling practice is coming along. That is about all I can say. I am not a natural athlete. I will keep working at it.
Hi, Everyone,
Well, Emma & I are fed, and I've surveyed the damage in the yard.
Prayers!
Off to get bags and a broom. BBL!
A broom or a rake, Andy? Wow, what a lot of leaves.
I can't really tell where patio ends and grass begins.
Flash seems fine now. Thanks for the kind words.
Lynn, I have gotten lots of good advice. I know what to do, but it is hard to follow through on everything. That is where the practice comes in.
Please I need prayers (1) John my daughters boyfriend is going to see a specialist for his seizures. He only has seizures at night time. He has a job during the day. We need PRAYERS THAT THE DOCTOR WILL CONTINUE TO LET HIM DRIVE SO HE DOES NOT LOSE HIS JOB. THIS IS A BIG TIME PRAYER--LAST DR. THAT GAVE HIM SEIZURE MED. THE MEDICATION MADE HIM SICK AND THE DR. WOULD NOT TRY ANY OTHER MEDICATION----REMEMBER JOHN NEEDS TO KEEP HIS DRIVERS LISCENSE SO HE CAN GET TO WORK---NO BUS--NO TRAIN--ALL READY CHECK NO ONE LIVES THAT WAY---TAXI IS $60.00 A TRIP ONE WAY-----Thank You.
2nd Prayer need is my daughter is going to her doctor afterwards because she has a sore throat and coughing. She has already did on herself the test for strap. So when she has her drs appt. today after Johns appt. she will call to find the results.
Thank you for your prayers
Shoot fire fiddle sticks, I broke the belt to the vacuum!!
Shoot fire fiddle sticks, I broke the belt to the vacuum!!
Prayers for both of them, DanaWV.
Oppps she will call lab and get results and give them to her doctor.
JOHN SEE'S THIS SPECIALIST TODAY----HE TRULY NEEDS HIS DRIVERS LISCENSE!!!! SOME DOCTORS HAVE THEM TAKEN AWAY UNTIL THE PATIENT GETS ON THE MEDICINE FOR 6 WEEKS. THAT WOULD MAKE JOHN LOSE HIS JOB!!!
T-BIRD Get the broom
lol
Heard you loud and clear both times, Lynn. Broken belt. I hate when that happens.
Sorry, not Lynn. Thelma. I reacted too quickly.
Heading over to FB for a bit!
BBL

GOOD MORNING,
EVERYONE
IN EAGLE LAND.
*********************
Weird haps here in So Cal. We had a one day Santa Ana yesterday; it got up over 80°; I never opened the sliding door; I never turned on the A/C; but I froze all morning, and never got very warm all day!!
And I feel cold again today, although I feel about as healthy as I can at my age. Definitely not the usual condition for me
C(°Ù¿°)D Jim
My belt fixer-upper is not home! : )
computer keeps crashing taking it in
Sounds like a good idea MemaJo.
Jim and Andy,
I haven't ever experienced the Santa Ana Winds. Must be quite an experience. Hope things get better out there for you all.
JIM, I don't know what your age is, but I do know how miserable it is to feel like you're freezing. Not a sensation you Southern Californians get very often ! Here's some sunshine for you ☼☼☼ !
Sorry about the computer problems, Judy. Hope it is an easy fix.
Andrew is an Easy Tech at Staples so he is going to take my computer to work with him tomorrow night to try to make it a little quicker.
BBL HAVE AN ENJOYABLE DAY FULL OF WONDER...
Hi, Everyone,
Well, I got a really nice push broom at Walmart.
Hi,
It's just Hunter and me tonight.
HUGE SUNSPOT: One of the biggest sunspot groups in many years has just emerged
over the sun's eastern limb. The sunspot's magnetic canopy is crackling with
M-class (medium-sized) solar flares and seems poised to launch even stronger
X-class eruptions. The sunspot, named AR1339, is not yet directly facing Earth
but it will be turning toward our planet in the days ahead. Check
http://spaceweather.com for images of the behemoth and updates.
Time for me to get dinner ready and round up Hunter.
Very interesting, Lynn. I will be watching for more northern lights.
Catching up.....
I was just thinking...hmmm, possibly more northern lights! Keep a look out!
Yes, I did hear it and wondered about it. Must be a British thing! lol
EAGLE ALERT!
Eagle!!!!!!!!!!!!
Digging in the bowl.
Time to play catch up again!
Sorry my post is soooooo long!!
Gotta go finish fixing dinner! xoxo ♥

Wahooooooooo! Jack is building a fire! Going to be a nice cozy night!
Shirley, that is a real shame about Kat.......I sure hope she can adjust. How bad? Just diet? Oral med? Hopefully not insulin.....
Lynn, I have been watching the news with my laptop right on my lap.☺
Time now to go prepare dinner.
I'll be baaaaaaack!
Kathryn is taking oral medication, and, of course, adjusting her diet. She is working on losing weight.
It is not a complete surprise. Her father and his mother both developed type 2 diabetes, but they were older.
Her father did not handle it well at all. He went through a big personality change and left me within a year. I think he had to blame someone.
Missed the second eagle visit. Was having dinner with Hunter.
I let him play outdoors for as long as possible. Not many days before it will be dark in the early evening.
So nice to have the cam and to see the eagles.
Nobody can accuse us of not putting effort into naming this eagle!
SHIRLEY I am laughing at your scrabble partner and his reaction to focusing on the game...YES INDEEDY maybe he will find another 15 year old!!! You are funny!!!
I think I have seen that name "Smitty" used for our young eagle, Hoda.
He was trying mighty hard, Hoda. It was obvious that Scrabble was not his first interest.
STOPPPPPPP SHIRLEY!!! It is so funny trying to deal with you keeping it together with a 15 year old with other interests than scrabble....ROTFLMBO
oh dear, I have returned to find that Cyclone Shirley is a COUGAR.
oh Linda, I'm so very sorry that the Dr couldn't offer more help. Geez. I've just never known anyone to have such trouble after a root canal. But hopefully the pain will ease soon as he predicts.
Andy, are you still lurking by any chance??
Linda, I sure hope the dental guy is right....that just healing time will solve the problem! Ah-ha! Heat!!!! What'd I tell ya'??!!!
Shirley, cougar for sure!!!! LOL!! Too cute! Kind of like Wanda's Dustin fl.irting with all his teen-age might with Megan and Paula!!
Hoda, TOO funny.....Smitty is my SIL's nickname......can't compare him with an eagle!
Sofa time for Jeopardy! Speaking of which , Lolly---no laptop on lap with a puppy who owns that lap!!
Nick got Lori's present today...a pretty blue tug!! THANK YOU LORI!!
I expect that young man would do better on another site besides Scrabble.
He probably thinks old ladies don't do computer games.
Dustin was flirting with us? Too funny...never even noticed.
I have heard Hancock use Smitty....they started it awile back...
LINDA I read your report on the dentist visit today...I see no immediate solutions, and I hope time will make it heal with the warm moist compress...PRAYERS come your way.
Kathryn just called. She is way up north and I-95 is at a standstill. It might be awhile.
Linda, I sincerely hope you have relief soon.
Shirley, sorry to hear about Kathryn's diagnosis. Glad she is attending classes to learn more about it.
ON FB I just shared an eagle pic from
local Martinsburg gal. Hoping to find out the location. Large beautiful bald eagle alongside the road in a grassy area.
Dana, just saw the picture and commented!
KAY this is for you WINDOW ON WILDLIFE
One of the sites from the Hancock group that I watchWHITE ROCK EAGLE CAMS
Last evening someone mentioned about hoping to hear from the young biologist (father with 5 boys) His name is
TJ
Just occurs to me that had my own parents stayed married (and thankfully the did NOT), it would have been 50 for them.
Not sure.
Hmm, it sounds like I will need to go upstairs. I told Hunter to go to bed, but the TV is still on.
Well, maybe. He just turned it off--hmm, nope. He turned it down. Alrighty then, Grandma will be checking.
HODA, thanks for sharing WOW and the Hancock site with me ! I wonder how many groups there are that follow our NCTC eagles ? Apparently they all use Belle when speaking of our female and I'm guessing they used Liberty until the events of this year unfolded. Interesting !
