CarolAnne said...

Morning WVDana
Hope Mom finds relief soon. Does she have those mitts that you warm in microwave to give her hands some relief?

Sitting here watching our cottage internet camera & IT'S SNOWING there. :o) Love it!

Thank you Steve for the new thread and thanks Thelma for the call over.

No CarolA she just won't use thoee mitts. Her hands aren't cold so she says until they get cold she won't use those things lol

Lori O. said...

Thank YOU, Steve for the new Wednesday Thread! I hope you're well and happy!

Good Morning CarolAnne and Thelma!

CarolAnne, your avatar - your choice. It's fine.

Hi Sharon!

Again Prayers for Lynn's traveling today and her consultation.

Also on this new thread prayers for Lori's Dad.

CarolAnne said...

Thanks, T-bird, knew you would understand. LOL

CarolAnne said...

Morning everyone!
Hope you all have a great day that meets your needs.

Raining hard here today, promising drop in temps by afternoon, with rain changing to snow. Already happening in other parts of state.

I awoke this morning with devout thanksgiving for my friends, the old and new. ~~ Will Carleton

Lori O. said...

About to hit the road.

Wanda, I pray all goes well and the doc tells you that you can have a knee replacement next week!
Can't wait to hear how you make out...hope you don't make us wait until you nearly faceplant at midnight to find out. LOL ♥

Lynn, I'm headed home but will check in on the blog at 2. That will be so nice that you can read back and see how many people really love you! Prayers and lots of healing light. ♥

Lolly said...

Good morning! 48 and sun shiney!☼

Have not read the blog yet, but wanted to get on and (((hug))) Lynn! Lynn, thinking of you today and lifting you up in prayer. Love you!☺♥

Now I will go read the blog!

Much love, many hugs and lots of prayers and positive energy coming at you Lynn!!!!

LOL Sharon, have you been listening to Stevie Wonder?

Hope Wanda gets some good news on her knee.

T-Bird said...

Looks like another beautiful day here in Bluefield.

paula eagleholic said...

Lynn, glad Christie is going with you to your consult...always good to have another pair of ears around, and she might ask questions that you wouldn't think of.

stronghunter said...

Thanks for the new thread and the call-over Steve and Thelma.

Yes to both, Lynn. She has a tough woman lawyer.

I am really hoping things get worked out quickly and easily.

T-Bird said...

Lots of prayers this morning.

stronghunter said...

I really think I had better get all of those bulbs I bought planted. Good weather is not going to last too much longer, I fear.

hedgie said...

Thanks for the callover, Thelma!!!
You do LOTS of things right, kiddo!!!

Show in Wisconsin....hope it stays there!!!! What is the forecast, CarolAnne, accumulation-wise? Do you all ever go in the winter?

CarolAnne said...

Morning Hedgie,
Part of the state is expecting 4-6". Here in the southern part a dusting to an 1". Will not stay as temps will warm to 50 by weekend. Once real winter sets in it is beautiful at the cottage. A special kind of hush seems to be all around. We go there as often as possible. Talking of taking up cross country skiing this winter to get out & enjoy the whiteness.

Lolly said...

Have caught up! I think it is really neat that CarolAnne can keep an eye on her cottage. Cool beans!☺

CarolAnne said...

In all the welcoming yesterday I forgot (how could I??) to mention we have a nesting eagle pair there.
Their nest is on the edge of a flowage about 1/4 mile away. They come to the lake & fish. In winter ice fisherman toss the ones they are not keeping out onto the ice and the eagles swoop down to get them.

CarolAnne said...

Yes Lolly it is fun. Those that know of our camera often wave & give a shout out in case we're watching.

CarolAnne said...

Right now I see 2 deer have come to our feeder looking for a snack. How neat is that! They look young. First snow for them.

Hoda said...

Off to start my day!!!
Good Morning everyone

LYNN thinking of you and stopping at two with prayers and love to your healing process and consultation...

Meeting for coffee and then the dentist for a crown prep and then PRAYERS FOR LYNN and then yoga.

Lolly said...

OMG! You have eagles!!! That is just too wonderful! For several years we had red shoulder hawks nesting in our front yard and we thought that neat! lol Small potatoes compared to eagles! That is why we call our home Hawkwood. There are no eagles in our part of Texas. They are in central Texas and east Texas but not north Texas. Have to travel to see them.

Lolly said...

I am glad Wanda is looking into getting her knee taken care of. She has suffered long enough. Getting a new knee is not fun but everyone who has had a knee replacement has not regretted it.

wvgal_dana said...

WOW CarolA you can see your cottage and the snow and EAGLES!!!
Well you have a "winter paradise" as Paula has a "sunner paradise". lol NEAT!!! Which we could see your cam.

wvgal_dana said...

Hoda enjoy your met with friends and coffee. Hope all goes well with crown prep.

Lolly said...

Time to walk! Need to get with it!

Later Gators!

CarolAnne said...

WVDana,
I can give you a "guest" pass to see what I see, if you would like. The "pass" goes to your email w/instructions of how to view it. It works with most systems.

hedgie said...

Thanks for all of your loving thoughts and prayers.

I am also sending up many for Wanda, Lori's Dad, Danawv's Mom, and DanaMo's Dad WITHOUT A WALKER!!!

Shirley, good to hear that Kat has it covered!!

Going to go ahead and shut 'er down and finish getting ready.

Will send Lori a text and she will post here for me, and Sharon has requested one, too. Carolyn, too, and she will relay to Margy! Judie wants me to call her, so I can do that right there in Annandale!!
If time allows, I'd like to drive to the old homeplace....and maybe the high school, too. All within about 5 mins. of the horsepital!!!

Will be back here sometime this evening!!! LOVE you all!!!! ♥♥♥

Good Morning - I've been reading last night's remarks.

Lynn my prayers are traveling down
the road with you this morning!

Thanks T-Bird for getting everyone
started on this new thread.

Kay said...

Just a quick check in to say, thinking of LYNN as she heads for the consultation and will be praying along with you all at 2pm.

I'll soon be off to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch with friend of 55 years. Doris has had second knee surgery and I've had my malady since we last lunched. Much to catch up on !

Oh, new Thankfulness Month avatar. Meet Professor Lee, the last of three. He lives in NJ, teaches at Rutger's, is a good husband, father and son !

Catch up ? Boy howdy, looks like my afternoon will be spent reading back, right here on the blog---much chat since I was here late yesterday afternoon ! BBL ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Good Morning, Everyone!
Lots of prayers for Lynn's Dr. appt. today, especially at 2 pm ET!
Have my phone alarm set.

Prayers, too, for WV Dana's Mom, Lori's Dad, Wanda and her dentist/Dr. appts., and for DanaMo's Dad.

CarolAnne, don't think I've formally introduced myself--I'm Andrea, or Andy. Very nice to have you here, so hope you continue to visit! LOVE your pics of your beautiful family, furbabies, and your cottage and wild critter friends!

Oops! Out of coffee. Will BBIAM!

CarolAnne said...

Ms B - thanks for the introduction. I am, as the name says CarolAnne. Hail from Wisconsin-originally from the north part, now live in the south part-twice married. Have lurked here for long time, feel I know so many of you and have always included all needs & wants in my prayers.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

CarolAnne - I am so glad that you are a lurker no more!! WELCOME TO THE MOST AWESOME BLOG WITH THE MOST AWESOME PEOPLE IN THE WORLD!

Mema Jo said...

Lots of meaningful prayers this morning.
Mainly all for medical reasons. Praying
that the Almighty Healer will place His
hands on those that need Him and places
His arms around all of us.

CarolAnne said...

I do agree. Ii the most understanding, loving, supportive, humorous group of diverse people that I have ever encountered.

Mema Jo said...

Hi CarolAnne If you have lurked I am sure you know me and Sharon since we &
some others have been here since 2006.
I want to Welcome you for becoming a member of our Blog. It is gong to soon become very exciting. Very glad you have an eagle nest near you!
Question: Who refills the deer feeder
up at the cabin?

PattiO - So very sorry to hear of your loss. I hope that soon you will have peace in your heart and only remember all the good things that your Dad instilled into your life.

CarolAnne said...

MemaJo, We heap it full when we are there, though we are allowed only 2 gallons at a time. Most weekends someone is at our cottage or at my Mom's and will dump more corn, etc into feeder. And we always leave several covered pails on the porch in case no one can make it up for awhile. Then have 2 cousins that live up there (lucky them) that will go over & dump in corn if we ask. Though feeder is usually empty a day or two each week.

CarolAnne said...

WVDana - when you come back on.. . . Aren't mom's something. Mine is 87 and very independent. Blessedly she is in good health. As she loves to read, we got her a Kindle last Christmas with the hopes that she would learn to use it. The first time we loaded books on it, she stayed up until 1 am reading. LOL She tells of taking it in the basement to read while her washer fills, comments how its hard to eat one handed & hold it at the same time. She is addictred to it!!

stronghunter said...

Frustration!

Tried to use the handy-dandy bulb planter I bought. It is supposed to release the soil when I pull the trigger thingy. I have had a heck of a time getting it to do that. I think a shovel is the way to go.

Dogs explored for awhile and then let me know they want in the house. They see no need to be outdoors, even on this beautiful day.

NCSuzan said...

CarolAnne, my daughter and I each have a Kindle and I think Lolly has one too. They are great. Ther is an accessory for the Kindle that hold it in an upright position. Hands free!

Lynn, thinking of you today.

CarolAnne said...

NCSuzan,
She likes holding it, even forgets sometimes & licks her finger to turn the page. lol Its the interference of household chores that she doesn't like!

NCSuzan said...

CarolAnne, that's cute.

NCSuzan said...

I want to take this opportunity to thank the people who write customer reviews for the products they purchase. It has really saved me some money holiday shopping. I want to make a committment to write a review on the items I purchase online hoping to pass on the goodwill. Just something I had to say.

Ms Bookworm said...

Back again.
Miss Emma is fed, and has gone outside to go potty. She is currently running up & down our hall at about 60 mph, carrying her Lori tug!
I have reloaded the dryer, and am working on my second mug of coffee. It's a beautiful, sunny, clear day here today, but there are light Santa Ana winds again!
So far, no new leaves on the ground though. Can't wait for trash pickup tomorrow! My avatar is a pic of the back yard today--at least we can see the patio! It's supposed to get up to 75 here today, but down to 48 tonight.

PattiO, want to welcome you here, too. So VERY sorry to hear that you have recently lost your Dad. ((HUGS)) for you, and prayers for your hurting heart.

Ms Bookworm said...

Shirley,
Sorry your bulb planter is not working as it should! Hoping that the dogs will decide that they like it outdoors. Maybe they want back inside just because it's a habit. Come to think of it, though, our Jen's two bassets are such confirmed couch potatoes that they never seem to want to be outside for long, either. At least now you know they won't disappear down the street when you let them out. How's George doing--has he been outside yet today?

CarolAnne said...

NCSuzan - here's a review for a product that I don't think has been mentioned here. PRESTO EMAIL MACHINE - it is sort of like a fax machine. We got one for Mom several years ago. It allows her to receive emails from family & friends & keep in the loop, as so few sit down & write letters now days. No computer required, no internet required, just a phone line. She has an email address for it. She cannot send emails, but that is OK w/her. Emails to her come out printed, including pictures & attachments. Uses regular printer paper & HP ink cartridges.

NCSuzan said...

I have heard of those e- mail machines. There are still quite a few people who do not want to be bothered by a computer and this is an answer to keeping them in touch with family and friends. Glad it is working for your Mom. She sounds "cool".

Lolly said...

That is interesing, CarolAnne. Wish we had had that for my Mother. We lost her 5 years ago. Going through her stuff, you would not believe the number of pictures and emails my brother had printed out for her. She would have loved receiving them herself.

NCSuzan said...

Gotta few chores staring me down. Better get to it! Take care all.

Lolly said...

Yes, Jack and I each have a Kindle. Jack is about to wear his out. Right now I need to download a book for myself. Jack always has at least 5 books a going! LOL Nobody reads like him!

Lolly said...

Shirley, sorry about the bulb planter. I always just use a shovel. Have my bulbs in the refrig. We do not plant ours until after Christmas.

The leaves are just starting to turn and fall here. Was just thinking today I might get out, ride the mower and mulch.

CarolAnne said...

Lolly, does your library system allow you to download books to your Kindle? That is an option we have here. Very nice for those who cannot budget buying Kindle downloads.

Lolly said...

Something interesting is happening here that I have never heard of. Trees that went dormant this summer because of the heat and drought, think it is spring and have started blooming. Some pear trees have fall leaves and blooms! My clematis apparently thinks it is spring too and is blooming. Going to take a picture and put on fb.

Lolly said...

I do not know, CarolAnne. Will have to check that out. I rather suspect not as our town is small with a nice library. Also, we live in the country, pay no city taxes, therefore have to pay a fee to use the library.

CarolAnne said...

Lolly - my town is small, but the downloadable books are part of a consortium. Here's the basics: •
With library card in hand,go to your local library's Web site. If its available go to the dedicated e-book section on yours.

Find the book you want to check out, and add the Kindle book to your cart.

Once the check-out process is complete, you'll be redirected to your Amazon.com account to finish.

CarolAnne said...

Watch your time - believe it is closing in on prayer time.

Ms Bookworm said...

Have a few bills to pay online,so will go do that now. Want to be ready for prayer time when my alarm goes off! BBIALW...

stronghunter said...

Would not want to wait until after Christmas to plant here, but I did not get much done today. I was skeptical about the bulb planter, but thought I would give it a try.

It would probably be great in the right kind of soil. The ground was pretty damp in the far back part of the yard.

If it is going to stay that damp, the bulbs will rot, I'm afraid, but I don't think it will. However, I only planted a couple of bulbs so far.

stronghunter said...

Lots of clay in my soil. I had to hold the bulb planter under the faucet and run water over it until I could push the plug out with a stick.

Epic storm headed to Alaska? Watching CNN. Is it headed to Hoda's, too?

Lolly said...

Apparently our library does not have it, CarolAnne. They have a program where you can check out Nooks preloaded with books.

CarolAnne said...

Lolly - thats an interesting concept too. Though how many "forget" to return the Nook. could get expensive!

Hi, All!
Prayers for Lynn--may her
doctor(s) be given Heavenly wisdom regarding her care, and may her surgery be scheduled for ASAP, so she may go on with her life in perfect health! Lord, YOU are her primary care physician, and we KNOW what miracles you can do! We know that you NEVER failed to heal anyone who came to you in need during your earthly ministry, and we believe no less of you now. Thank you, Jesus! We pray in your Name, AMEN!

Lolly said...

CarolAnne, I really think you need to become an official Momster. All you have to do is request to join and Paula or Jo will take care of it! You then get the privilege of getting all our emails (LOL) and can get on our official site and vote to name "He who has not been named."

Lord, please hold our friend Lynn in your hands and keep her safe. Give her and her family the strength to carry them through this time and bring her back to us healed.

Kay said...

Lovely prayers CarolAnne and LOLLY. Here's hoping LYNN, JEWELS and CHRISTIE can feel the love !

Right at 2, just as I began to pray and exactly when the nationwide alert went off, my phone rang. Screened and had to take when I heard my sil's voice at a strange time of day. Seth asked him to "call Grandmother to let her know what happened to me and tell her I will call her later to tell her all about it." As I listened my heart went to my throat---Seth fell over a computer cord in one of his classes (a safety issue now under investigation). He fell on one knee and his face, the latter causing a bloody nose. Hugh got the call at work and went to the school immediately. He thinks the knee will be sore tomorrow, but doesn't see the need for a doctor. He wanted to take Seth home, but he insisted on staying and Julie will pick him up after International Club at 3:30. Tomorrow is one of my Malcolm/Seth days and I may be at their house, we'll see. Please add my dear grandson to the prayer list. I'd be much more comfortable with his having been checked out by doc or ER, but hope it's no more serious than Hugh thinks it is ! Granted, Seth is sometimes clumsy due to his physical condition, but those cords should not be where people walk. The Lord was with me as Doris and I left Buffalo WW's today. I misjudged a curb and came very close to landing on my keester, but I somehow stumbled sideways and regained my balance. Whew ! That's just the way I mangled a wrist in 2006. Thank you, God !

CarolAnne said...

Kay, a thank you prayer that you were not hurt in your stumble. Hope tomorrow doesn't bring some hidden tiwst or muscle pull pain. Additional prayers for Seth, that all is well.

Kay said...

JEWELS, I'm so glad you have MARGY today ! We love your Mom soooo much, too ! Hope this consultation leads to quick action and complete healing. We love you, too ! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Mema Jo said...

Oh Kay! If only leaves just fall we
would all be spared lot of aches and pains. Prayers for all!

Now we patiently wait with anxious hearts for the news that Lynn is hearing!

Lolly said...

Kay...Momsters are NOT allowed to fall! That has been declared!!

Will certainly keep Seth in prayer. I am sure those cords at school will be dealt with fast.

stronghunter said...

Oh, please no more falls for Momsters or their loved ones.

Hope Seth will recover quickly. I have had concerns about those computer cords strung across classrooms.

Lolly said...

I am not accomplishing much today. Have enjoyed this very special time with you, but I really need to get up off my keester!

Hopefully we will hear something soon about Lynn.

Kay said...

Thank you, CarolAnne ! Can't tell you how much I'm enjoying your pictures as well as your participation in the chat. Glad you decided to come out of LM and hope you'll continue to visit with us. You are our kind of people !!! I know we're all a bit envious over your close proximity to Eagles ! How wonderful ! There is a nest about 5 miles north of me, at a Metro Park along the river that runs a couple of blocks west of me. There is a plan to have a cam on it by mating season. I hope it comes true !

Mema Jo said...

Kay - If Nurse Lynn were here I just
know she would insist to an ER visit to get checked over and I am thinking that
the school's policy on accidents would require it! How about that Seth wanting you to be informed!

stronghunter said...

Kathryn came home and is working on papers, etc. I have decided to stay here and pick up George's food tomorrow. It can wait.

Kathryn put the dogs outside again, but they have already returned to the house.

George was under the back steps when I checked on him. He ran out with the dogs.

Lori O said...

Oh Darn it, it's happening again, the disappearing posts.

CarolAnne said...

Excited for our first snow (which is coming down now) but looking forward to using recently purchased camera to attempt some eagle pics. Won't be of the quality of the "real" photographers that post here, but it will be a thrill if I can accomplish it.

Lori O said...

Excuse my posts for a while while I try a few things.

stronghunter said...

I see you, Lori!!

CarolAnne said...

Lori - see you "excuse me" post and your #3 test

Kay said...

JO, I agree completely, but I'm not the one calling the shots. Thanks to you, LOLLY, SHIRLEY and all who will, I know, keep Seth in your thoughts and prayers. Yes, I'm touched by his wanting me to know ASAP ! He and I are very close, thank you again, God ! I'm going to disappear now, digging back into the blog to see what I've missed. BBL

Lori O said...

Amen! Praise God! We love you Lynn.

I see you, too, Shirley. Let's hope it stays this way.

stronghunter said...

Kathryn is now headed to the Social Security office. Calling them does not work. You have to go there. This does not seem like the efficient way do to things, but it is what it is.

stronghunter said...

She said that she went into one courthouse building and was told that she had to take her cell phone back to her car.

She had walked there from another building and had to beg to be allowed to enter after letting the man see her turn off the phone. She had only 10 minutes to make an appointment.

stronghunter said...

Forgot about that nationwide alert thing. I had just turned off the TV because Kathryn came in the door.

Mema Jo said...

Shirley our courthouse definitely does
NOT allow cell phones. Sorry that
Kathryn didn't know that but thankful the guard let her in to make her appointment.

Lori O said...

I pray Lynn has received good news. We should know shortly, an hour or so.

My Mom just called and Dad is doing much better today and his fever is falling. Doc says Dad may get to go home tomorrow...and thinks the infection may have been caused by the removal of a polyp.

Prayers that Wanda gets the news she wants today and will be allowed to have the knee repaired.

Kay, prayers for Seth. That boy, and his dog, love YOU! Me too. :)

Mema Jo said...

Lori I am assuming this is a sit down consultation and that Lynn's records are in the hands of the surgeon....
I didn't think any kind of tests were to
be done.....

Do you agree with that Lori?

Mema Jo said...

Great news about your dad, Lori! I know you and your mom are relieved.

Ms Bookworm said...

Kay,
Prayers going up for Seth! Hope he was not badly hurt--I would recommend at least a Dr. visit to check out his knee, and make sure his nose is not broken.
So VERY grateful that you didn't fall,Kay! Thank GOD! Prayers that you won't be sore tomorrow from doing the "twist" to regain your balance!
Golly, I need to go do some hairdo damage control and run to pick up some prescription refills and run some other errands. Will be back asap. Can't wait for an update on Lynn! Take care, everyone! :o]

Ms Bookworm said...

Lori, so glad to hear that your Dad is doing better! Prayers continue for him, and for you & your Mom!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Lynn is supposed to text me but no word yet.

Mema Jo said...

I am waiting for news of a date and about Lynn being satisfied with it all.
Like she tells us - Nurses make the worst patients! lol

stronghunter said...

I was at a court hearing once when a phone rang. Officers immediately confiscated it. Haven't been in a place where they aren't even allowed at all.

CarolAnne said...

They would have to cut off my step daughter's (20) hand to get her to relinquish her phone. LOL

stronghunter said...

I went out awhile ago and brought George in. He was grazing on some grass.

CarolAnne said...

Stronghunter - Lucky you - I bet he gives that grass back in a little while.

stronghunter said...

Dogs aren't enthusiastic about going out. George likes it.

I think I will put the bulb planter in a bucket of water. So hard to get that plug of soil out of it. Very frustrating.

stronghunter said...

Yes, CarolAnne. That is what seems to happen with the grass he eats.

stronghunter said...

Wonder how long it will take to get the soil out by soaking it?

Lori O said...

Shirley, what kind of bulbs are you planting?

Mema Jo said...

Shirley, NO phones allowed - Does not surprise me if for no other reason then
detonating a bomb. It is also because of taking photos.

I am thankful they don't let their
guard down in protecting us.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Just got a text from Lynn. She is getting labs now and surgery will be next Tuesday or Wednesday.

Mema Jo said...

Sharon/Lori Are you as anxious as I am
Like: dr was late for appointment - dr doing more test - dr doing surgery now -
dr appointment is finished and they
forgot where they parked the car - Judie
was there and kidnapped them for dinner.

Jewels has your sister called yet?????

I really know all is well but when you
love someone and your are 60 miles away You Do Get Anxious!!

Mema Jo said...

I just knew we would hear as soon as I
made that stupid post! Whoo Hoo
Fantastic!

Sharon Thank You Thank You for the news.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Jo, that was not a stupid post! I have been anxious so I sent her a text to see if she was still in with the doc. It will not be the DaVinci procedure.

Lolly said...

Pretty soon I will not have to rake. Annie is bringing in all the leaves...in her hair!!!! She just came in and is insisting I pet her...purring away!

Yep, they give the grass back to us. "Ain't that sweet!"

Kay said...

I warned you I'd be back ! Found much of interest in your posts, but you don't need my input on absolutely everything. LYNNE was "cattywampus" at one point and I'm now plumb addlepated after all that reading. Sorry I, or Lori's posting glitch, set off such a flurry of puzzling and puzzled messages !!!!! Prayers continue for her father and glad he's doing better !!!!!

Prayers, too for LYNN, for WANDA's knee & tooth, LINDA's ear n' jaw and WVDANA's mom.

DANAMO, no walker for Dad ? Yeah !!! He must heal like a baby !

So pleased to have CAROL-ANNE sharing the joys of life in WI with us and to have PATTYO with us, too !!!!

Prayers answered for a quick surgery.
Thank you, Sharon!

Whoopee, so glad they are not wasting any time, but getting right to it for LYNN ! The sooner that offensive little thing is out of her pancreas, the better ! Thank you, SHARON !

Yes! Surgery really soon! That is good! And, I love it that Judie kidnapped them! Fantastic! Cool beans! Good on Judie!

Kay said...

LYNN, I feel sure you'll be back with us here before this day is over. So relieved with the news. Found your hint for LINDA re:taking Ibuprofen and Tylonol interesting ! Stunned by Kathleen of OC's post. Unbelievable !!!

LINDA, how are you today and have you tried LYNN's suggestion ?

CAROL-ANNE, love your mother's great attitude ! It's a blessing that's she's soooo with it ! Right you are about advice given here on purchases, medical and pet care issues....No doubt, over all the years, thousands of dollars have been saved and much aggravation avoided. Momsters rock !

Kay said...

LOLLY, was the report on JUDIE's recent "crime" reported on FB ? I don't see it here, but assume it means she, LYNN and Christie are together at this moment !

CarolAnne said...

I'm thinking confusion reigns again. The kidnapping was just a guess (joke) as to why we hadn't heard anything. I better go back & re-read to be sure.

MemaJo's post at 3:57 & 3:58

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Sall good CarolAnne.

Kay said...

Thanks, CAROL-ANNE, I see that rumor grew out of JO's thinking we should have heard something before we did ! JUDIE is only something like 30 minutes away from the medical center as I recall, so it was a possibility !

Lolly said...

OK, I see I misunderstood Jo's post. Judie did not commit a crime.

CarolAnne said...

I'm sure it would have been a welcome diversion for all of them if it had happened.

stronghunter said...

I think Judie is five minutes from the medical center.

Lolly said...

Walked our 2 miles, Kay! Now I need to work on the water. I am a little behind! Yikes!

CarolAnne, is that a picture of you? Figure it is....happy to meetcha!☺

CarolAnne said...

Years ago when medical care was not what it is now, my uncle had a severe heart attack. My aunt & cousins were staying with us while he was in the hospital. Mom & Aunt were sitting at table having a boo hoo party. Dad came out of the bathroom, after showering, with just a towel wrapped around his waist, headed for the upstairs bedroom to dress. Just as he got to the stairs he dropped the towel. (He had his pants on & rolled up above his knees. It was just the hilarious moment they needed to get back on track.

Lolly said...

Or...is that your mother? lol

Lolly said...

Oh, I love that story! Too funny!!!

CarolAnne said...

Lolly, the picture is of the oldest & youngest in my family. That is my Mom (87) and her great granddaughter (5 months). I hope to hold up as well as she has! She has 12 gr. grandchildren with the 13th & 14th due before Christmas.

CarolAnne said...

My dad had a great sense of humor. When that uncle passed away shortly before his eldest daughters wedding (a happy/sad day) at the end of Mass Dad was at the back of church wearing a hysterical fright wig. Tears soon turned to giggles and all was well.

Jewels said...

Hello, Mema Jo, got your post just before getting off work. Couldnt respond as we were pretty busy and we were changing shifts. Also did receive same text from mom. Love and hugs to you all. Seen many posts for additional prayers for others, don't worry, your in my thoughts and prayers! For those of you following Taitlyn's obit was in paper today.

Kay said...

CAROL-ANNE, wonderful story and a reminder that a little humor goes a long way when we get too negative or serious. Your dad must have been a hoot ! A precious picture of you mom and that sweet, sweet baby !

LOLLY, I walked early this morning before shower and lunch date. I'm still only doing a mile, but think I'll see what happens with the 2 mile tomorrow. Thanks for the water reminder. I'm behind, too, because I've been sitting here way too long. Getting a tall glass right now !

CarolAnne said...

Lolly, I heard a way to check if you are getting enough fluids is to gently pinch the back of your hand. When you let go the pinch should disappear immnediately. If it doesn't you need more fluids.

Lolly said...

Glo is certainly busy getting more beautiful pictures. Envy her her eagles!

Lolly said...

Whoopos! Better go drink more. lol

About 3 min. visit

Lolly said...

She must have left fast!

My comment at 3:57 was made before Sharon's report on Lynn was published.
I was just getting very anxious to hear from Lynn.
Didn't mean to confuse - it was just poor timing .

Judie emailed me that she did her best to catch up with Lynn at the very large medical complex. She had to hit 3 different buildings.. then was told that Lynn was over in the actual hospital. Well, Judie ran out of time at that point and had to head on to her class. That's a True Blue Friend!

Mema Jo said...

An added note for all of you knowing
Judie she opened her remarks with

Well, I might as well have been looking for a Sheetz store.

Put a pic of eagle visit on my blog. You'll recognize which pic it is by the title :o)

Lolly said...

Great job, CarolAnne!

LOL Jo...that certainly sounds like Judie!

Kay said...

LOL, JUDIE's Sheetz remark ! Too bad she didn't connect with LYNN and Christie. Kind of reminds me of the snafu that kept me and DANAMO apart in August ! Close, and yet so far away !

Missed the Eagle visit. Just got up for that glass of water and Seth called. He is on the couch with a ice bag on his bruised foot and says his knee no longer hurts. "My nose was a little bloody, but it isn't broken." He and Julie are both convinced his injuries are minor and no need for a doc's opinion.

Kay said...

Oh, and Seth said the Vice Principal, who is in charge while the Principal is out due to cancer :(, immediately swung into action, saying that cord will be moved and taped down properly. Hopefully he'll go over the entire building looking for such hazards. Seth's accident may be the impetus needed for a thorough safety check !

they might have dinner first then head back...
