I have the neatest robins that have been living here for years I would like to use theirs HAHA She keeps me entertained for hours I had bought a apple feeder for her Was so happy when I saw the apple being eaten Only to find out a stupid squirrel is the one that is eating it Even when I have it on a 5ft pole the sucker climbs out on the pole and eats it So no mo wasting apples on a squirrel and the feeder still hangs empty
LOL, we early birds play, "Let's Pretend" so much that JudyE thought we were just goofin' off with the Bird Friendly Coffee talk ! So, Judy, when checking those coffee packages, you'll find the fair trade seal on some, but in addition look for the Smithsonian seal--that's the one that signifies shade grown and bird friendly coffee. There is a notation on some indiciating the company donates to the Smithsonian fund as well.
If Shirley will tell us what time her appointment is today, we can, at that moment, have two or more of us gather where ever we are and say a prayer enmass for Shirley's health and no cancer. I can't think of anything more important that we could do today.
It's confusing, but JudyE, you get wax for the Split ! Love hearing about your Robins !
Good morning, Megan ! We've had some really bad storms south and east of Columbus in the last 12 hours. However, the forecast for my area is much like yours. Yeah !
If WAX is the prize for first post on a SPLIT, then I'll just hang back and let someone else have it. There's not enough wine in the world to make me want WAX!
MEGAN, my ♥ goes out to you. My puny back yard peonies are barely budded up at all, about a forth of what they usually have. I think of you everytime I see them becasue I know you have so many of the plants and depends on their flowers.
Judy, Belle and Lib never stopped coming by the nest entirely, but the visits were few and far between from the time their eaglet(s)fledged until they got serious about prepping the nest after the first of the year. I caught sight of them several times, but it was really hit n' miss. Your avatar is beautiful and loved reading about the pelicans "hitchin a ride", so to speak !
This year will be a different proposition for me---the last two years I wasn't aware of the Momsters and didn't participate in any forum. Now, "for the friendship", I'll be visiting daily and hope to see a little more of our eagles by doing so. Most nests across the country shut down during the off season. So glad NCTC operates this one year round !
Good morning everyone! Hope you all are doing well this rainy morning! Thanks for the coffee and pastries Lori!!! Fog is settling in here this morning as the sun is rising. There sure are alot of stories about our nest aren't there? Wish we weren't having all this drama for sure!!!
Tom is down in his back really bad. Doc gave him a steroid shot yesterday and some pain meds. Lord, I pray they give him some relief. He has suffered terribly this week with it.
Hope all is well with all of my wonderful friends out there this morning! My sister is moving home in a couple of weeks and I am so excited! I told her I have felt so lost since she moved and she is to NEVER do that again!!!
Sissy, Tom has been added to the prayer list ! Which sister is moving back ? I'm sure the old timers know, but I'm still learning about who is related to who, etc.. You are so blessed to have a large and close knit family !
Two of the NBG babies at WCV are up and doing their wingercizes. They are getting HUGE! Great news that the youngest one who had the lead poisoning has gained more than 2 pounds!
Lori, I agree, it's such a joy to see the NBG trio thriving ! They are getting very close to adult size now. We won't see so much of them when their space is enlarged for flight practice, since the camera is fixed and won't follow them. :(
Mattie had to have some fillings done Monday and had some kind of reaction afterwards. Her lips blistered and the inside of her mouth blistered, face swelled up and her ear started killing her!! They put her on antibiotics yesterday. I don't know if it was an allergic reaction or some other something, but she was miserable. Some better this morning and going to school but her little face is still swollen. If it ain't one thing it is two!!
We are going to the camper this weekend. I have stayed in it and Tom has stayed in it, but we have not stayed in the new camper together yet. Lots of work to do, but we both need to kick back a minute. We have all summer to pretty things up!!
Those NBG babies are huge for sure! Really can't tell when they are in the nest, but when you look at the pics of them holding them, it is amazing how big they are! What a year this has been!!!!
My catbird is back out here. This is the first year I have had one at my feeders. These nasty starlings are all over the place!! They should train them to eat stink bugs, at least then they would have redeeming qualities!!
Good Morning Paula and Nugz - okay good report on Nugz, hope there is a good report on the car too...but it's hard to get a good report on a big dent :(
Sissy, thanks for the explanation and I'm thrilled for you and Sharon. I guess I've gotten confused and the gals you both refer to are daughters and sisters-in-law--nice family, no matter what ! It's wonderful that you sisters will be together again, life is too short to be apart if there is way to be in the same area ! The sweetest friendship I ever had was with my sister, Karen. Lost her in 1995 and still miss her like it was yesterday !
Yes we are Shirley! You have to check in with ASAP!!! Many prayers for a good report!
Tom is feeling much better this morning, he just called from work. Those steroids really did the trick for him. I told him to take it easy though and don't go backwards. He has an excuse to do only desk work, no lifting heavier than a milk jug!!

Indicating---that is !
Today's nest weather-Sunny. Highs in the mid 70s. Southeast winds around 5 mph.
Another nice day on the way, have a great one everybody!

Sorry Judy & Kay - guess I messed up on Judy's prize. You know Lynne will send me a Reprimand Post for that! LOL!

Oh I was so glad we clarified that I was getting ready to go chase my robins down and see what I could do to get her PS HAHAHAHAHa
MEGAN, my ♥ goes out to you. My puny back yard peonies are barely budded up at all, about a forth of what they usually have. I think of you everytime I see them becasue I know you have so many of the plants and depends on their flowers.
I remember someone on the blog and the name slips my mind they said they eventually the eagles will STOP coming to the nest I hope that is not NOW

Good Morning Eagle Pals
I'm running behind schedule this morning, and where are the Eagles?
Out fishing again maybe....
thinking especially of Shirley this day ♥ and prayers for a good report on the biopsy

Margy, there you are ! Good morning ! Belle and Truder have either gone fishin' or have decided to take a little vacation it seems.
Here is a good way to see how often the Eagles visit the nest in the "off-season"
At least, this is how it has been with Liberty and Belle:
For Example:
In the E-M Photo Albums, there is one photo album from 7/1 through 9/30/2010
and also one for 10/1/through 12/31/2010
(and this is also the case for previous years)
and dear Jo
keeps these albums prepared for us, as you will see, there is already the "blank" new album ready for June 2011
Thanks Jo !!!
Thanks for pointing us in the direction of those albums, Margy !
Good morning everyone! Hope you all are doing well this rainy morning! Thanks for the coffee and pastries Lori!!! Fog is settling in here this morning as the sun is rising. There sure are alot of stories about our nest aren't there? Wish we weren't having all this drama for sure!!!

Good morning, Sissy !♥
HAGO Judy ! I may not "see" you again until late today. It's a doggy n' grandson day for me. ☺
Hi Sissy -
sure sorry to hear about Tom's back
hope he gets relief soon, and okay, he is on the prayer list now!
I was thinking
you and Sharon have not been on here often enough for us to call one of you Sissy when it is Sharon, and Sharon when it is Sissy
LOL
Sissy, Tom has been added to the prayer list ! Which sister is moving back ? I'm sure the old timers know, but I'm still learning about who is related to who, etc.. You are so blessed to have a large and close knit family !
I hope Lynne2 pops in soon with a report on her friend Dr. Baker...
(I did get up to check for the planets, too many clouds!)
and for Andrea -
call the Vet, soon, about that possibly swallowed piece of plastic...
I have to move away for awhile before worktime, will check back before I leave....
Best Wishes for A Good Day, Everyone
Good Morning MARGY & SISSY!
Oh KAY, fun day for you with your favorite boys!
Two of the NBG babies at WCV are up and doing their wingercizes. They are getting HUGE! Great news that the youngest one who had the lead poisoning has gained more than 2 pounds!
I had a baby blue jay out here yesterday, all fuzzed up and begging for food!! Love spring in the bird world!
Lori, I agree, it's such a joy to see the NBG trio thriving ! They are getting very close to adult size now. We won't see so much of them when their space is enlarged for flight practice, since the camera is fixed and won't follow them. :(
Wonder where DanaMo is this morning, I miss her !
Okay, kids, I'm giving on the Eagles and making a sweet escape. Will be in LM while reading newspapers, e-mail....
Have a super duper day everyone !

Sharon (Eagle-Eyed Sharon) is the only sister I have living, Kay. Yes, I am blessed with family for sure.
Kay, you are so sneaky! Love YOU!

Andy, Emma will probably pass that tag...
Nugz had a good night, and ventured out farther in the yard this morning.
Gotta go get ready for work...stopping by the body shop this morning for them to take a look at my car.
Oh SISSY - poor Mattie. That sounds horrible. But, I think your idea of training starlings to eat Stink Bugs is sheer brilliance!
Good Morning Paula and Nugz -
okay good report on Nugz, hope there is a good report on the car too...but it's hard to get a good report on a big dent :(
Good luck with your car Paula - that's just not fun. YEAH for Nugz feeling better. That's great to hear. :)
yeah, sounds rough for Mattie, guess she might get some teasing this day....hope it is all good-natured !
Back for a moment between tasks.
Heh, heh, Lori ! I love you, too.
Sissy, thanks for the explanation and I'm thrilled for you and Sharon. I guess I've gotten confused and the gals you both refer to are daughters and sisters-in-law--nice family, no matter what ! Judie
when you arrive here:
Hope you can give us a Thumbs Up after visiting with the orthopedist!
Time for me to make like a baby and head out...
Maybe I can "visit" from work
Have a Glorious Grandson Day, Kay
and Megan: Happy Planting !
oh Catbirds! As Noisy as Mockingbirds sometimes....boy can they chortle !
xoxo ♥
Wouldn't you have loved to have seen this!
That's my fish!
Margy, the good report on the big dent is that it's on somebody else's nickel! :)
We have a scavenger in our nest stealing nesting material! The nerve of some birds!!!
Good morning,
I am in my recliner drinking coffee. My appointment is at 1:30, so I am trying to relax until then.
Taking a few minutes to read back . . .
I hope you have an on-time doctor Shirley because there are a lot of us who will be praying at 1:30 that you get great news today!
Thanks. I really do appreciate it. I will be praying too.
Trying to figure out what happened to Judie's thumb.
Yes we are Shirley! You have to check in with ASAP!!! Many prayers for a good report!
Tom is feeling much better this morning, he just called from work. Those steroids really did the trick for him. I told him to take it easy though and don't go backwards. He has an excuse to do only desk work, no lifting heavier than a milk jug!!
with US ASAP, I mean!! Left a word out!
Prayers and best wishes for Tom, Sissy. Yeah, he should take it easy today.
I'm getting ready to head down the hall then down the road.
Shirley, you couldn't have a stronger group with you, behind you, beside you.
Sissy - Great news about Tom. Steroids can do wonders. Ask a baseball player! :0
BBIAW
Beautiful tulips, Lori.
You are so right about the group, Lori. I certainly felt your strength on Friday.
