Shirley, I take it you are okay? Can picute this very clearly. LOL He just wanted to play! LOL
I have tried several times to reach the people who own the doggy who showed up on our patio. They are not home and their voice mail is full. They may never know about Zeke's experience today. He was a good doggy riding in our car.☺
Hmm, the school board wants to honor retiring teachers at a night meeting on the very last day I am supposed to be there. It will be a long drive back, but I would hate to miss it.
Oh, my birth certificate arrived today. The last thing I have to submit for retirement. Social Security did not require it, but the state of Virginia does.
I've returned from Crab feast - there were 3 picnic tables full of friends and family and lots of food. Many youngsters playing with the swings and volleyball and other areas of the yard. Everyone wishing the best to Christine! The cake I took was delicious chocolate with butter cream icing.
I love watching Flashpoint! Mac may be leaving CSI - really set the show up to look like that. I hope not - he is why I watch it plus the story content.
Re Facebook: I have found it is a good way to keep up with my children's activities, and I have found some long-lost college friends there. But it would never take the place of this blog.
PS Siging off and notice that the facebook page now has 32 and Scott said needing 25 for something Ok night night "Be kinder than necessary, for everyone is fighting some kind of battle."
Lynn, I was so pleased when the OBX teacher was the big winner. Of course, I knew the outcome 30 minutes ahead of you, but wouldn't have spilled the beans for all the tea in china !
Wanda, a quick scan of messages since the blog came back tells me the Facebookers are not leaving us. They just enjoy having more than one outlet for this passion we all share. I said my two cents worth at 6:13 on this page and there have been messages from you, Sharon, Margy, Bev---possibly others---who've agreed this blog is home and it's all we need. Others have more time or are better at multi-tasking than this ol' broad ! ☺ But, they aren't leaving us !!!!
I came back to check on prayer requests. Am adding the Firefighter's family to the list I already have going. Hope I haven't missed any new requests. I'm so tired I can't see staight. Three days in a row with the rambunctious granddog have done me in. Gotta get in condition because I'm going to have him for a week in June when the kids go on vacation.
It was a good day for visits with Belle and Truder ! Hope for more of the same tomorrow.
Whoa, just had a neat email! Ordered something online, and the shipment was delayed...which is no problem...but the website owner watches eagles! Trying to find out which cam he watches. Ya just never know!
Facebook is completely different. I go for days without posting something. I use it to keep up with family and friends and post occasionally. Yes, this blog is HOME!
Same here, Lolly. I know if I don't check in here, Momsters and Dadsters would likely show up at my door to see if I am okay. That's kind of nice to know.
Tonight on facebook I posted a picture of my father when he was quite young. Today is his 100th birthday. Have had some neat comments from friends and family.
Have also commented on pics posted by a young man who as a child was a neighbor. His sister was Laurel's best childhood buddy. She was also making comments. That is why I like facebook. Completely different than this blog.
Green Fields of France...Thanks for the post Lynne 2...I kept thinking of Claude Stanley Choule from Australia who was the last known living WWI veteran and he died May 5th 2011 at age 110. The Idealism of War and the contrast of its reality...God keep them all.
Could have gotten it on the same day if I had gone to Raleigh and picked it up, but that is 216 miles one way. I think that would have cost more than $71, and would have taken a heck of a lot of time.
Lolly I like the way you say this IS your Dad's 100th birthday, your earlier post said would have been I know you miss him dearly... We shall all meet again.... xoxo (( hugs ♥)) and Happy Birthday in Heaven to your Dad !! My Dad's birthday is Sunday, "he will be 102" - Bet he and your Dad have traded some stories about their wonderful daughters, up in the Skies of Glory ☺ Ya' think? xoxo
Hoda, I had no idea he had died! We had a man from WV who recently died and he was one of the last 3 left....there is one woman in Britain who served with the Royal Air Force, Florence Green...she was a waitress. She is still alive, but Choule was the last combat veteran. WOW. I don't watch the news much, but you'd think I'd have heard SOMETHING about that!
Oh, yes, Margy! I know my dad thought I was wonderful. He wanted more than anything for his children to go to college. He graduated as valedictorian of his class after laying out one year to help on his father's farm. He went one year to college but had to quit to work...hard times back then. He was a softie too. He was the one I could talk with when I was young.

However, I am so happy to have the blog back. Guess we scared those bad people didn't we? Eagle cane power!

I was trying to skeedaddle outta here before the Split but I failed sure can tell we are having fun being with each others tonight....
I really wanted to say more to more people about their happenin's but time has run out for me because Saturday is a work day.

Lynne 2 I did not know she was still alive, Florence Green that is. You are right she is and he was the last combat WWI veteran. I was saddened by the passing of the West Virginia Veteran Mr Frank Buckles and thought it sad he did not lie in State in the Congress as was requested...however he was given full honours at the funeral.
Good evening of TV, and play time and snuggle time with Liesl. No early to bed for her tonight---guess her long afternoon nap while I was gone kept her from getting too tired early! And when she is in the crate she does NOT tear apart her bedding---or her bed in the playpen, either, unlike someone else we knew.
Lynne2, if/when you get an answer from Lynn about your Aleve, let me know. I stopped my script for Naproxen (Aleve by prescription) for the very same reasons and am curious too.
Okay, Lolly.....you posted "the STUPID guy shot one of the hawks. I found out about it after the fact. The man is now deceased!"....hmmmm....think we better get Judie to decipher this. I mean, after all, you were just talking about a cemetery before!!!
Loved Blue Bloods tonight. Hope Gary Sinise is not leaving CSI NY. He makes the show along with Sela Ward.

So, good night all! Sweet eagle dreams! Yes, it is good to be back on the blog. I have always wondered what we would do if we lost the blog. Now we know....PANIC!!!!!!!
I guess they'll replace B and S with some other low cost reality show. I saw part of Minute to Win it the other night and I just can't believe this is what Prime Time TV is coming to.
Diann, glad you were with the gang this evening! Good to see you spending more time! Swoozie Kurtz also has cameo apperances on Nurse Jackie. She's always been a riot!
Okay Lolly: "I found out that he shot and killed the hawk after he had died." Now just HOW does he shoot a hawk after he's dead???!!!!
Those shows are SO stupid, Lynne. I won't watch them, for sure.
Yes, I DO think that Scotty will win. I was surprised that James got voted out---as most people were---but he has a great career ahead of him. But unless America is truly deaf, Scotty HAS to be the winner now!
Okay....I'm all caught up. My day is done. To tub I go. Will leave you with this trivial info: John Denver and some pal writers were actually coming up the mountain between Leesburg and CharlesTown when they wrote "Country Roads"----used to drive that road often!! It is just east of Christie's, but it is the fastest route "home" for me.
Prayers for all! Sleep sweetly, one and all. Please wake with NO pains.
Hi, Everyone, Got here kinda late, and have been trying to get caught up!
Thank you, ladies, for the John Denver concert! Love that song, and love your singing!
Sure am glad our blog is back! I missed it!
Want to mention that I was really touched by Margy's post about the firefighter who passed away from cancer, too. Gave me goosebumps and tears! Prayers for his family and friends.
Well, need to get some sleep. Sorry I seem to have missed all of you! I will be back some time tomorrow, though. Prayers for everyone, especially those in need of healing, and prayers for all creatures. Making sure the porch light is on. Judie, thanks for the night light. Enabling both security systems. Sleep well, everyone. God bless, and goodnight! Love all of you! :o]
It is 4 a.m. Up to let the dogs out. Read the blog and am now downloading Country Roads from iTunes. Thought I already had it. Thanks for the serenade. Love you all so much.
I wasn't on at all yesterday - I took the day off and was outside until dark gardening, mowing the grass, making paths in the woods and mowing down the poison ivy/oak.
Clematis are beginning to bloom!
Margy so sorry about your friend the ambulance driver. 42 is so young! Those tributes like the last call, etc., are tough. I do love, but I cry, when the military funerals move through town and people line up along the street or highway and salute. I saw one like that on I-70 once. There was no way you could not cry. Hundreds of people just pulled over and got out of their cars all along the Interstate for miles. Many service people wore their uniforms. Will never forget it.
LYNN2 put the cutest thing on a comment on the FB page Colonel Adam Boomerang the YoYO Truder. I had listed the names but not in that order and she made it make sense. I love It
Wow, you certainly made hay while the sun shone yesterday.
Apparently Belle n' Truder visited the nest about four times yesterday. I got in on the first of the day and the one about the time the blog came back up.
We missed the big John Denver Remembered Concert last night. Sounds like the gals were downright giddy over being together again ! Virginia is no doubt weeping, but West Virginia is clearly elated about the Sharon and Thelma return !!!!!
Thanks for setting up the SSCC this morning, dear Barista ! A day or two ago someone said "I thought the cafe just served coffee and tea, what's with confections ?" We need to assure all that our confections are both fat free and sugar free, yet they melt in the mouth. ☺
I love Outback ! Stan and I celebrated more than one anniversary at one in Vegas. We lived just 90 miles southeast of Sin City and often wnet there for special occasions.
I've missed you guys the last few mornings. I don't think I got on one morning and then the next day the blog was down. I felt like I was going through withdrawal not being able to chat to my morning friends.

So, good night all! Sweet eagle dreams! Yes, it is good to be back on the blog. I have always wondered what we would do if we lost the blog. Now we know....PANIC!!!!!!!
What with all the John Denver singing, I raise my glass to West Virginia before I head to bed...Good night...GREAT SONG
Lynne, nuts! My family history is making my life h-e-double l.
Isn't there a time, after a long time use, that it would no longer be effective? Maybe it's time to change?
Brothers and Sisters has been CANCELED. BOOOO HISSSS
LOL, Shar----you pulled a good one! Do you remember mine from April 1st?
Jo, I already set the DVR for Jesse Stone movie!!!
WAKE UP SHARON! YOU ARE BEING SERENADED!!
Thank you ladies! I heard ya!
Oh, Judie, they both are great actresses!!! Glad it was enjoyable! Are you going to graduation tomorrow???
Shirley, nice that they re going to honor the retirees at your school!
I agree, Lynne, BOO Hisss
'nite fellow PALynn and Lolly and anyone else about to dent the pillows. Sleep well and God bless!
Pulling a Margy....going to fall asleep with that song going through my mind. Love John Denver!!
Oh, and Lynn....do you think Scotty is going to win? I do now that James is gone.
No, Paula, Sela Ward is on CSI:NY.
thank you Paula!
I guess they'll replace B and S with some other low cost reality show. I saw part of Minute to Win it the other night and I just can't believe this is what Prime Time TV is coming to.
I, too, loved "Sisters", Lynne.
Diann....no. NSAID's are anti-inflammatories. They never stop having that effect. Not like narcotics that your body gets used to.
B&S cancelled??? Well, shoot....I wondered because SUnday night seemed to a srap on all their story lines.....harumpf!
LOL Lynn! All I know is that me and Buford where NO WHERE IN THE AREA at the time of the crime.
Lynn, I love it here on the blog and I was in a panic when it was down.... lost!
Hope someone recorded the song for Sharon and Thelma to listen to on their was back to West Virginny.
I won't get it out of my head for a while.
Who's still up?
I'm still up, but I'm heading to bed.
SO, good night, and prayers for you all!
Diann, hate to leave you but I need to hit the hay too!
gnite all!
(((hugs to all♥)))
Yes, it's good to be home!
Okay, I'll join you friends and head to my recliner for the night.
Prayers for all in pain of body or soul.
Nite Paula, Lynne, nurse Lynn, and anyone else still awake. Time to close our eyes and rest.
Goodnight John Denver
Hi, Everyone,
Got here kinda late, and have been trying to get caught up!
Good Morning Early Birds lovers of Eagles!
Geez, it's almost time to open up, so I'll do it! Trying to decide if I should move this over to the FB page or not...LOL...kidding!
Good morning Early Birds, KAY, DANA, MEGAN, JUDY, MARGY and lurkers.
Quick coffee dash before Truder arrives...oh, I hope he does.
TEAM LIBERTY!
LYNN2 put the cutest thing on a comment on the FB page Colonel Adam Boomerang the YoYO Truder.

Morning JudyE!
Judy - what is LM?
Morning, gLori !
Lori, in what way did Judy refer to LM ? To me it means Lurk Mode ???
Hi KAY!
Duh, LM = lurk mode. Good thing I got another cup of coffee!
I was singing the song as I was reading the words. Great song!

BELLE LOOKING AROUND AND OUT AT EDGE OF NEST AT 10.
I didn't have the sound on either, Judy. Thanks for the reminder.
Thanks for setting up the SSCC this morning, dear Barista ! A day or two ago someone said "I thought the cafe just served coffee and tea, what's with confections ?" We need to assure all that our confections are both fat free and sugar free, yet they melt in the mouth. ☺
I'm so surprised that he hasn't come back No yoyo yet or boomerang BELLE making her neck line pretty
Colonel Adam Boomerang the YoYO Truder is back
He almost landed on her again
Looks like the dogs are letting DanaMo sleep in today. I'd love to know where she chose to go for that romantic anniversary dinner last night !

Must be very warm at the nest already. He has his cooling system turned on. He's sure hot panting from overwork !
It wasn't all that romantic LOL. I just wanted a good steak and we didn't feel like getting dressed up so it was Outback.
Good morning everyone.
Good Morning Dana. We're being treated to a nice visit this morning. Truder has already boomeranged onced.
I love Outback ! Stan and I celebrated more than one anniversary at one in Vegas. We lived just 90 miles southeast of Sin City and often wnet there for special occasions.

Neglected to say Good Morning, Dana ! Good to see you.
Hear the morning geese flyby.
Dana, has Lowe's come through with your counter tops ? Any more restorations at your house ?
I've missed you guys the last few mornings. I don't think I got on one morning and then the next day the blog was down. I felt like I was going through withdrawal not being able to chat to my morning friends.
POOF Truder
TRUDER OUT OF NEST AT 7
BELLE: ALONE AGAIN, NATURALLY. sing it!
I've decided that stub is his beak cleaning spot. He just can't be thinking he can move it day after day.
Wonder if MARGY is sleeping in?
MEGAN is probably getting ready for the market.
belle looks like she was ducking down to avoid a landing just now
