Thursday

Was out yesterday.

We have additional news that could relate to our missing resident male.  A few days ago, our land manager found the remains of a bald eagle near the waste water treatment  plant.  The bird was not in good shape, so performing a post-mortem on it is not really possible.  The degree of decomposition and proximity to the nest indicates to us that there is a good chance that this is our missing bird.

We will never know for sure though.

Wanted to let you folks know about this as soon as I could.  It has been a rough season for bald eagles around the Region.

Everybody please take care.

New thread.

You know, I was just thinking, I bet that was a really hard message for Steve to post yesterday. I felt the compassion in it, that is for sure. Thank you Steve.

Finney looks smaller than usual at that nest, and the perimeter of the nest she's making is smaller also.

She's down in the nest cup as though she has an egg, but I didn't see one earlier today.

Just afew short words to express my sorrow. I have been over to the NCTC area many times the last few weeks just riding around searching the area.. If this si OUR Liberty he is soaring high above and will always be in OUR hearts.. On another upsetting news my great grandson had a cat scan today and has fluid on his brain and we are waiting on news as to when he will go to Morgantown for MRI.. Leland is thriving and alert smiling and cooing but we noticed a abnormal feeling on the back of his skull so Stacy took him to doctors this morning and then to hospitol.. Leland will be 3 months old 26th.. So Please keep him in your prayers...

I THINK.....I THINK......Liesl is MINE! Home visit in the morning by a friend who is on the board of the rescue, and she said "then you can go pick her up." That sounds pretty firm to me!!!!!
