I JUST READ ON OTHER THREAD.....OUR LITTLEST EAGLET MAGGIES IS HOME Now Paula's avaitar is really important and the thing. Since I can't do it I'm glad Paula put one up there!!!!! HAPPY DANCE!!!!! ( : ( : whippie
Actually Mema Jo I have been waking up too early. Doing things around here. Then have to go our in the cold for one reason or the other. Getting home after dark. I don't like that makes me too tired. Plus all this mess up on paper work they have done grrrrr but I'll stick it out nothing more I can do.
Dana, we are planning a trip to Conowingo on the 16th, which is next Saturday. Please consider going with us. We are going in the Eagle Express and will give you a ver comfortable seat. It is a little over 2 hour drive. Just enough time to get wound up and fiesty;)
Speaking of cold-------Chrissy says that it was -15 there last night! And in Scotland it was -21. Bet that put a real brrrrr in the Scots brogue! Which reminds me of how much my grandpop liked to amuse us by talking Scottish to us at times. He could recite Bobby Burns with a real flair! His parents immigrated from the old country as children, but his grandparents never lost their brogue..
I just got my hair cut yesterday. I hadn't realized how long it had grown. SOMEBODY NEEDED TO TELL ME LOL
Norma when I was reading through the comment of this morning. All of you had been talking about Jim's fruitcake. Then you made a comment about Paula's snoppy. It printed twice and it s "woosie" in it. I couldn't help but giggle and giggle thinking you got into Jim's fruitcake. lol
History in the making this evening, Hedgesville Volunteer Fire Department, founded in 1957 (or maybe 1956) at its original site on Main Street in Hedgesville, West Virginia (Berkeley County) moves all its equipment and phone lines to their new building on Hedgesville Road, about one mile or so East of their present location....
We have been waiting for this day for a looooooong time.
Best wishes to all the volunteers and to all the people who helped make this move possible!
Great photo, thanks...can you go with us on the 16th??
You are brave to come back on here today!
Very best wishes and prayers for Sarah for the surgery, and for both of you during the recovery. Put the Laundry in a basket along the side of the room !!
Margy Brian told me they were moving everything over. Men have been doing a lot of work to get it done. I'm so HAPPY for them. They sure deserve that NEW STATION. Now for the raising of monies to finish I think it is the kitchen area or area they can rent out.
Lynne2 don't give up. Tire this: put a penny in a cleaned out empty soda can (cover hole). If Daisy starts something destructive shake the can (the noise will get her attention) then tell her no. After a bit if you just pick the can up she will stop.
I think I have a smart dog. Ed always summer and winter long used a heating blanket. Little Man would be under it. When he got warm he would be ontop of it. Well I look at the temp in living room and said 70. Hum my left leg has been bothering me, I think I'll turn the heat up a little. Which I did. So I hear Little Man come in and heard him scrathing in the bottom of his bed but I never turned to watch him. When I did turn around layiing in his bed as happy as can be is LIttle Man. Then I noticed.....he had his bed over the heat register while the heat was coming out. lmbo
No Hedgie - I kept looking at the frames from the different daily times because at first I thought she was under the snow..... It's fluff - nesting materials in that corner that I thought was the covered Lady Valmont!
Popping in for a second~~~Good News on Cam!! Here at farmhouse office, the entire front field was full of geese eating thru the snow & 3 big deer at the edge, nibbling & taking naps. Think they were Big Mama, Bucky or he may be Spot Sr, & Spot Jr! ☺ Then saw a beautiful large & fluffy red fox! Before I could get my camera, he ran towards the pond & crossed it on the ice! They saw him yesterday, too. Well that's the nature report ☺~~~back to work~~~
Finished my house cleaning for today. Have also been doing laundry...no broken toes here.
We are having a heat wave here...now up to 29. Jack had to turn on the second heater in the shop to raise the temp out there since our plants are in the shop. Sure am glad we moved them out of the green house.
I think the wind has finally slowed down a bit. Thank goodness!
Going to "walk" now. That should warm me up.
Excited about the new cam. Wondering what kind of picture we will get...and Spidey will temporarily be gone.
Oh Wanda......will you and the Capt. please come by here and pick me up next Saturday. I'll wait down by the mailbox, do not think you will want to try to come up the drive. See you then!☺
Lolly I like what you wrote in comment on Wednesday Jan. 8 111:45.00AM "Americans need to look at the freedom the eagle represents. They need to soar and be proud of the freedom and never ashamed of what we have been blessed with in this country. If we don't start realizing the freedom the eagle represents, we may soon be grounded like the turkey." I am remembering when they went to pick our National Symbol the Eagle out beat the turkey. With thinking of your comment. It makes the Eagle even more (if that is possible) to have been elected as OUR NATIONAL SYMBOL.

I did have another Maggie I added to my prayers lately. I remembered it was a mother and housewife, who was a neighbor of my sister's until recently. She has been diagnosed with cancer and is due for surgery soon. I'm sure it would be appreciated if you added another prayer for "Maggie" to yours. Thanks.
yes Dana, FONZ is a membership for the zoo, if you are a member you get 20% dicounts at the stores and free parking....I have a nice button that they gave to us volunteers, that say we are not only FONZ members but volunteers....it is a great organization
Jim I am thankful you remember who the "Maggie" was on your prayer list even before we knew Maggie (Our little eaglet) was ill. I will add your Maggie to my list and pray for her surgery & healing.
I talked to Annie around 11, Molly was still at school, and Maggie was playing, had a good nap yesterday and a good nights sleep, she didn't sleep to much in the hospital, hoping to get up there some time tomorrow a.m.
Find it hysterically funny when they are saying on the news that this is the years' first snow----technically, of course, they are right! But as for this winter season---NOT!!! 23 here now---don't think it went over 25 all day. Just got the fire rebuilt----just didn't feel up to messing with it yesterday, plus had a full tank of propane for gas stove, so I let it slide.....but nothing like wood heat to really warm the house in a consistent way.
Hi, Gang, Thanks, Steve, for the new thread, and the latest cam news.
I'm back from running errands. Had a return at Wal-Mart, mailed some packages, and got a new cell phone battery. It was still under warranty. Was acting wierd--would go from a full charge to zip in a matter of minutes. Hope the new one works better!
Gosh, where does the day go? Hubby will be home from work before you know it! TGIF!
Well, have a bit of internet research to do for school--will be back after dinner.
Am adding Jim's Maggie to the prayer list! Hope to soon hear that she's doing better, too.
Well, gotta get homework done. BBL! Take care, and stay warm!
Hi everyone. Have my laptop online ann operating. Jim got me a wireless mouse so I wouldn't have so mjuch trouble; now I have to learn this ke;yboard... sorry.
Diann, I STILL have some trouble with the small keyboard!!!! Almost impossible to type as we normally would on full-size! My fingers must be too big!
Dana, being out in the cold would really do me in, for sure. But with the Eagle Express to hide out in, it would be fine. Plus as of now, they are saying 49 on Friday, so maybe Sat. will be even warmer---hope, hope!
Welcome, Eggcited. Forgive us when egg laying time rolls around (soon) because you will see your moniker used alot but we won't be talking about you!!! Don't know your wounds, but if momster prayers can help. you'll get them here from us. Not sure what you mean about paging????
i think your teaching skills are right on!!! No, i am better, in the hospital.....have been on life support...can you believe someone can blog right from her hospital room? this will be my second season of ealge watching. i am verrrry eggcited!! please bear with me while i liearn the ropes, also that due to sensors and needles, etc. i am typing with one hand!!
in my haste to blog, did i read instructions? no. you have to leave your comment in the comment box and then go down to read posts, then back up to the comment box? since i am using the hospitals internet i bet security stuff is built in. see, i think i answered my own question?
Yes, I always go down to read the comment, then back up.
Sometimes we get a security message that we have to click on each time unless we put in the necessary commands, but that doesn't sound like what you're describing.
i am not a total stranger, MemaJo has taken me under her wing before, i am on the monster album and lurked on here enough that i was devasted by debs passing, i did not even think about my moniker. just typed away
Eggcited, I know that this blog and eagle watching have passed a lot of "not feeling so good" hours for a lot of us! Glad you are here! We are supposed to get a new camera installed next Wednesday so hopefully the eagle watching will begin soon!
don't hate me already....i live in nc and we do not have snow...it has been coolish but not like all that you have experienced. hope everyone is taking care....
i know about the camera...that will be a nerve wracking time until one is installed. i originally watched nbg but there camera is offline yet and your camera, even still shots was better than nothing...
i live about 45 miles east of raleigh. my home is dare county, but a terrible wizard of oz tornado blew us away. yes i noticed ecu. my daughter went there!
my daughter is an eagle magnet. they drop down to see hear. she has known of a mating pair east of here on her way to greenville. she commutes everyday. also on the way home to dare co.., in tyrrell co is a pair and there is another one on 64 but i have not been able to see the nest. yes this time of year is wonderful!!!
Sorry...had a phone call and Jeopardy...back to say: Eggcited, I am so sorry that you are in hospital and dealing with such serious health issues. Praying for your rapid healing. So neat that you can use the computer----hospitals can be SO boring, not to mention lonely, especially at night. Hope we can help ease you through this difficult time.
I hear a TRAIN headed for N.C. to visit Eggcited! Anyone else hear a TRAIN?
Hi Eggcited. Welcome back. I'm Judie and I get people confused.
Jim, prayers for your Maggie. Please keep us posted. Yep, firefox messed me up this afternoon working on school stuff. Too many tabs same time?
Lynn, hope you're feeling better than earlier today. Take care, please.
Congrats for Hedgesville Vol. Fire. I suspect long, long overdo.
Dana, I think a trip on the Eagle Express would be wonderful for you. Oh, when our two Siamese were alive, the girl would settle on the floor over a heat pipe and the boy would settle in the upstairs bath under a heat vent. Animals do know without knowing.
Speaking of animals, deer spooked at PApix. Headlights, looked like.
Okay, off for a few quiet minutes. Late dinner as I didn't have drunch today.
Judie, our firehall is SO bad that some equipment is too heavy to park inside for fear that they would end up in the basement! No functions held in basement anymore, either, even tho' a lot of shoring has been done. The new one is huge and modern!!! We feel so fortunate that it has finally become a reality!
Good grief, Lynn. No wonder the new fire hall is so welcome. I figured needed but didn't realize how badly. Let's hope it gets very little demand except for socials and fund-raisers.
Thank you, Loretta.
Lynne, how's Daisy been today?
Hey, Excited, I grew up in Norfolk and watch the NBG nest. Sure wish they would go online soon; 'course, the Sycamore Palace has taken over my eagle heart.
Oh I have some news on the NBG cam...supposed to be online on January 11
From CCB on Facebook - FYI for NBG eagle enthusiasts: WVEC is scheduled to air an interview with CCB's Reese Lukei, on Monday evening, Jan 11. WVEC's plan, as of now, is to make the nest camera live on January 11.
Also...
CCB is proud to present its newest blog, CCB Eagle Nest blog, specifically for discussions on breeding eagle behavior. Reese will be posting stills from the WVEC nest camera, and offering interpretations of the pair's behavior. The WVEC nestcam is scheduled to go live online on Monday Jan 11, so until then, Eagle Nest blog will be the only place besides NBG to see photos.
I am watching Dateline...story about David Goldman finally bringing his son Sean home from Brazil. I've followed this story for a long time, I was really excited to hear on Christmas Eve that Sean was finally coming home.
The second leg of Train's tour starts in March. This is the first date that has been released so far but the rest come out on Monday. Yes, I am quite the roadie and yes, I am hooked! I am a Trainiac and a Pat Monahaniac!
It was so much fun to watch Azalea as she traveled all around the gardens. Especially as I think I remember she's the eaglet that fell from the nest. Now she's in N.C. -- bet she's there waitin for TRAIN to arrive.
Also interesting that when I was growing up there, the land was just being developed and called the Azalea Gardens by us locals. Amazing all that has been accomplished.
Now just need the Sycamore Palace live cam!
Well, I think I'm going to head for the SHEETZ. Tomorrow begins my really serious reading/note-taking for next week.
Turning my light off but leaving the night light on for others. Andy, please turn the security system on when you come in.
Well T-Bird - I am as late as you are getting back on here! Hope you have a good weekend! I read that the TRAIN is coming down the tracks again & that you know who will be headed to the station in March. You go! Sharon gal! you go! Good news about the NBG cam turning on. I like that new blog they'll have, Paula.
Now what about this wounded but healing bird tonight? Eggcited I am thankful you have found us again. We will surely help you bide your time while healing! You came on just as I was leaving and I missed you. Rest well and come back often so we know how you are doing.
I did watch 2 programs this evening that had 'new' stories. I need to feel some sunshine - this cold dampens the soul! I did get out today to ride over to Jenny's to feed her 2 cats but mainly to feel the sun through the car windows!
Welcome Eggcited... can't wait to find out your "other name" then we can get confused all over again....as you will trying to figure how our "other names" go with our monikers...get your cheat sheet ready !
Hope your healing and recovery will move along swiftly
Anyone see the news store on 25-Alive about the new fire station at Hedgesville? I drove past the old, empty station and the new, filled station on the way home from Berkeley Springs.
Looks nice. I spent many many hours in the old station....can't spend too much time at the new station...can't do the things I used to do, but I did spend a lot of time on those fund-raisers back in the day.....
Just wish in a way that they could have stayed within the town limits of Hedgesville. My old house, used to back up to the back field of fire station...was real easy to get down there for emergency calls.
Train could hire you for PR, OR Pat could hire you as his personal assistant, Shar!!!!
Jo, wondered what happened to you this evening! Thought maybe you went back Outback and got lost! Forgot to tell you last night that my mouth started watering last night when you said you had gone---I wanna bloomin'onion!
Gee, do you think the nurses took the computer away from Eggcited? Maybe we had her heart racing too fast. Hope she is sleeping soundly and that they don't wake her unneccesarily.
I did have a nice time with James, Jo...thanks... we threw lots and lots of ice and snow balls in the parking lot, he loves to see them break apart and go sliding across the pavement, also hit the Goodwill store of course, I got some good books! I did not hear any owls though!
Well, dear ones, time to throw some logs on the fire and get into the tub with my Johnson's Baby Vapor Bath----like bathing in Vicks' Vaporub fumes---very soothing and does help open up the head! Prayers for all. See you tomorrow!
Paula's Snoopy is making me dizzy, can't imagine how he's feeling. Thought he's make me feel like dancing, but I don't. I'm a bit stiff and sore from my graceful fall.
Welcome to eggcited and hope she gets better fast and joins in our gabbing more.
Wanda, I'm also concerned about the weather for next week. Too cold will be miserable for me and I'll need access to a loo frequently. I can't walk far even with my walker but I would certainly enjoy going to meet everyone and sighting an eagle in the wild. Don't have fancy equipment, just field glasses but we're willing. We're still negotiating.
I'll have to look at a map since I'll be the navigator unless I can get my son Mike to bring me down. He used to be a truck driver and nevers needs to look at a map, it's all in his head. He takes after me. ;o) His poor dad can't find his way out of a paper bag, but he tries.
Well, guess everyone has already gone to bed so I'll say good nite to whomever is still left and talk with you tomorrow between the playoff games. God bless everyone. Love you guys!
For my birthday Jack got me the "thingy" that changes slides into digital pictures. I have been doing it all evening, trying to learn how. Did one tray of slides. Have about 50 more to go, maybe I will get it all done in the next 30 years or so! lol
First tray I did was our camping trip to the Grand Canyon way back in 1967. We were young and no children. Such babies we were! I think I will post a picture or two for laughs.
Welcome Eggcited! Gee..your situation sounds like it has really been serious. So glad you are getting better and feel like blogging. We will help pass the time. Hey, and we even will keep you in our prayers.
Wow! Thrilled to hear about NBG! We are really getting started now! I love NBG! Remember, I visited Buddy there when he was just an egg! lol
High today did not get out of the 20's. Presently 21 and going down, some areas getting into the single digits. Laurel said it was 12 this morning when she and the boys left for school. Brrrrr!
Going to Laurel's tomorrow afternoon. Like spending my birthday with family, especially my boys.
Okay, Diann....time for you to get new glasses. lol But, thank you!
Okay, for a good laugh...look at the pics I have posted under Family Pics. Would like to tell you these pics were taken yesterday, but alas they were taken 43 years ago when Jack and I had been married 2 years. Ahhh, those were the days.
Gosh, I fell asleep in the recliner after dinner, trying to watch some TV.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LOLLY!!! Hope the day brings all the very best for you! Sounds like you're having fun converting slides!
Welcome, Eggcited! Good to have you here! Hope we can get you through the boredom of being in the hospital. You're on my prayer list now, too, for rapid healing!
Well, it's late, and I will have numerous errands to run in the morning. Better hit the sack. The night light is on, the porch light is too, and the eye scanner security is enabled. Prayers said for everyone. Sleep tight, and have sweet dreams! Talk to you tomorrow. Love you guys! Good night! :o]
GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDDIES!---MORNIN' CEIL!!----CONGRATS! THELMA! You are 'OUR BEST ALL AROUND EAGLE MOMSTER TODAY!!--It is a bit COOL here in WILD & WONDERFUL WEST VIRGINIA---temp is a BALMY 21 today!--------BUT THE SUN IS SHINING!!! SMILE!
Love the pictures of you and Jack with the western style hats.
It is so cold here this morning.
When I came home yesterday after work, the streets were icy and all the yards were covered with the new snow that came down while I was gone. Schools in Spotsylvania were closed. At first, they were on a delay, but then the extra snow caused them to close. More snow here than in Culpeper.
I have to think about what new courses I am going to sign up for this semester. I'm thinking I would prefer not to tackle two on-line classes at the same time. Maybe a weekend one and an on-line one.

This is the replacement cam but does not mean Live Feed is ready yet - right?
Dana thanks for coming on the blog!
We have been wondering what you have been up to and if you're keeping warm!
I finished lunch but recliner is looking good!

Happy Belated Birthday to hirley's twins Will and Susan.
Mits is FONZ a group of people like we are?
The calendars just came from Pam! She did a really nice job! Can't wait for you all to see them!
I received the most beautiful calendar in the mail today! Thanks Capt. Gene and Wanda!
Sharon,
wonder if your PAT could be a model for Jos A. Banks?
Ha, Ha, that would probably really boost sales!
Going West to see the grandson.
Maybe I will hear some breeding Great Horned Owls hooting !
Best wishes for a good afternoon and evening...
Hoping that everyone is feeling better today. See you later on tonight.
xo ☺ ♥
Bob, that guy captured the shot of a lifetime!!! Wonder if his ensuing frames show either of them catching the fish??!! Conowingo. here we come!!
Margy, thanks for the firehall alert! It's about time!!!! Congrats and halleluiah!
Dana, in case Mits left....FONZ is Friends of the National Zoo---a paid membership organization that supports the zoo and it's efforts!
We are back from feeding Jenny's cats! All is well - roads were clear (340 S and 17N)
I have been keeping track of any action on Lady Valmont the Great Horned Owl and her nest box.
This was yesterday Xcel Energy Owl Cam Daily Pix

Whoo Hoo! Great news, Steve. Hope the weather holds up!
Wonder if they are going to put it in the same spot?
Paula, what do you think is the best route to take to Conowingo?
Gene is looking at two different ones.
I see an eagle at BWE.

Glad Hedgesville is getting a new place, I imagine the place is overflowing with excitement!
Bob, that's a great pic. I can look at Conowingo pictures all day! Neither of 'em got that fish again, I'm sure.
Anybody heard how little Maggie is doing??
I did have another Maggie I added to my prayers lately. I remembered it was a mother and housewife, who was a neighbor of my sister's until recently. She has been diagnosed with cancer and is due for surgery soon. I'm sure it would be appreciated if you added another prayer for "Maggie" to yours. Thanks.

Jim
Wanda, you can go up 95 to Rte 222 then to Rt 1 is one way
Other way would be to take 695 (Baltimore Beltway) to Rt 1 - takes you right to Conowingo.
Or 95 to 24 to 1
The dam is right under the red star. It's a pretty drive on Rt1 north of Bel Air
Conowingo Map
Jim Maggie came home yesterday. She is on strong antibiotics but is doing well. Will add your Maggie to my request.
yes Dana, FONZ is a membership for the zoo, if you are a member you get 20% dicounts at the stores and free parking....I have a nice button that they gave to us volunteers, that say we are not only FONZ members but volunteers....it is a great organization
I have been putting away Christmas stuff
Thanks, Ceil, I'm sure your prayers will be of great help, and they will be greatly appreciated.

It's great to hear Maggie is home and getting better.
Isn't it wonderful how quickly the young heal?

big prayers go out to your Maggie too, Jim
OK, so who is gonna check on the nest this weekend :)
Jim I am thankful you remember who the "Maggie" was on your prayer list even before we knew Maggie (Our little eaglet) was ill. I will add your Maggie to my list and pray for her surgery & healing.
Adding Jims' Maggie to prayer list.
Mits, how is your Maggie doing? Are they having nay luck keeping her resting or is she a little ball of flying fun with Molly??
I talked to Annie around 11, Molly was still at school, and Maggie was playing, had a good nap yesterday and a good nights sleep, she didn't sleep to much in the hospital, hoping to get up there some time tomorrow a.m.
Find it hysterically funny when they are saying on the news that this is the years' first snow----technically, of course, they are right! But as for this winter season---NOT!!! 23 here now---don't think it went over 25 all day. Just got the fire rebuilt----just didn't feel up to messing with it yesterday, plus had a full tank of propane for gas stove, so I let it slide.....but nothing like wood heat to really warm the house in a consistent way.
sounds nice, Lynn
Eagle at BWE
Eagle at BWE
4 deer out here trying to find corn----one yearling keeps checking her mom to see if there's any milk! Mom says "forget it, kid!" Poor baby.
Looks like eating at BWE
going to try and remember to go outside to see ISS here tonight, should be by in about a half hour
Heading home, catch yall later
later, Paula:)
Hi, Gang,
Thanks, Steve, for the new thread, and the latest cam news.
Jim adding your Maggie to prayer list.
It's cold out there.
If trip to the Dam is this cold, I don't know if I could stand it outside.
Lynne-Hedgie wouldn't that weather outside bother you?
Hi everyone. Have my laptop online ann operating. Jim got me a wireless mouse so I wouldn't have so mjuch trouble; now I have to learn this ke;yboard... sorry.
... later
Oh that degrees sounds GOOD Lynn_Hedgie. I can take that!! ( :
Dinner time here....... BBL
do you ladies feel up to taking in a wounded but healing bird tonight?
Hello everybody. I survived the ice and cold out there today, as did everyone else. It is nice to be home.
Hi Eggcited,
Welcome!
when i first started watching nests, you were my teachers.
People on here have a lot to teach. I first posted in May and have learned a whole lot. I'm looking forward to my first egg laying season.
thank you...some beginner ?'s...how do i type in the blog and not have continue paging?
Welcome Eggcited! How are our teaching skills? :)
Hope you are not too badly wounded and are well on the way to recovery.
Not sure what you mean. What's happening?
Welcome, Eggcited. Forgive us when egg laying time rolls around (soon) because you will see your moniker used alot but we won't be talking about you!!!
Don't know your wounds, but if momster prayers can help. you'll get them here from us. Not sure what you mean about paging????
Are you getting a security message?
Eggcited, do you have the security warning thing coming up?
i think your teaching skills are right on!!!
Sounds like you have been watching longer than I have.
I wondered if a person could log on from a hospital room. That is great.
in my haste to blog, did i read instructions? no. you have to leave your comment in the comment box and then go down to read posts, then back up to the comment box? since i am using the hospitals internet i bet security stuff is built in. see, i think i answered my own question?
Yes, I always go down to read the comment, then back up.
Sometimes we get a security message that we have to click on each time unless we put in the necessary commands, but that doesn't sound like what you're describing.
i am not a total stranger, MemaJo has taken me under her wing before, i am on the monster album and lurked on here enough that i was devasted by debs passing, i did not even think about my moniker. just typed away
I usually just click on the little tab on the right and scroll down and back up quickly.
Eggcited, I know that this blog and eagle watching have passed a lot of "not feeling so good" hours for a lot of us! Glad you are here! We are supposed to get a new camera installed next Wednesday so hopefully the eagle watching will begin soon!
I think your moniker is great.
don't hate me already....i live in nc and we do not have snow...it has been coolish but not like all that you have experienced. hope everyone is taking care....
I was thinking I had seen Eggcited before??
No snow in NC? I am origninally from there--you've probably noticed my ECU avatar!
i know about the camera...that will be a nerve wracking time until one is installed. i originally watched nbg but there camera is offline yet and your camera, even still shots was better than nothing...
Where do you live in NC?
for thoses with an eagle addiction that is!!! yes, i believe western nc has snow...
Hello, Eggcited, I remember you, welcome back, pray you have a speedy recovery
I imagine there is snow in the mountains at least.
i live about 45 miles east of raleigh. my home is dare county, but a terrible wizard of oz tornado blew us away. yes i noticed ecu. my daughter went there!
I am probably coming to Durham on 3/10 for a Train concert!
It was ECC when I went. I am sure your daughter was there at a much later date.
my daughter is an eagle magnet. they drop down to see hear. she has known of a mating pair east of here on her way to greenville. she commutes everyday. also on the way home to dare co.., in tyrrell co is a pair and there is another one on 64 but i have not been able to see the nest. yes this time of year is wonderful!!!
Is she at ECU now?
Sharon, you are going to another Train concert?????, so soon:)
Sounds like Sharon just can't get enough of Train.
she is becoming quite the roady:)...off to dinner bbl.
thank you for inviting me in. did i miss a lot? dr and the nurse who comes around every 30 minutes! lol
Not too much going on right now.
I guess people are having dinner right now.
Or watching Jeopardy. I have it on myself.
BRB--I am going to go get into my pj's. It has been a long day. I will be back, though.
Took another panda nap (1 hr) going to watch tv probably fall asleep there too.
If anyone watches it---Ghost Whisperer is new tonight.
Yea! Got final Jeopardy right! Now for the pj's.
Sharon, how far is Durham from Bedford? A second NC concert date in such a short time is surprising!! Choo-choo!
Hello, Eggcited! Glad you are improving and able to join us!
Off for some t.v. Later
See, I told you I get confused. I meant: EGGCITD but we're all EXCITED to have you back with us.
*&*(@ I meant Eggcited.

More eggcellent news, Paula!!
I am watching Dateline...story about David Goldman finally bringing his son Sean home from Brazil. I've followed this story for a long time, I was really excited to hear on Christmas Eve that Sean was finally coming home.
The blog should be interesting. Libby Mojica will also offer her views.
Did ya'll know Azalea is in NC!!
The second leg of Train's tour starts in March. This is the first date that has been released so far but the rest come out on Monday. Yes, I am quite the roadie and yes, I am hooked! I am a Trainiac and a Pat Monahaniac!
Oh MY, she's in Dare County...how about that!
Okay, who is Azalea?
Azalea is one of the eaglets from the NBG nest, she is fitted with a satellite transmitter.
And that is great that the NBG cam is coming back live on Monday!
I kind of thought that but was not sure. Thanks Floralgirl!
Wow, that is this Monday! Kewl!
Paula, thank you so much for the NBG update.
Pleasant eagle dreams!
Hello everyone.
Hi Thelma,
Good night all. I'm ready to get between the sheetz, too.
I second that on Eggcited Mema Jo. We are so glad you are here. Everything happens for a reason. We are blessed by your presence.
I did watch 2 programs this evening that had 'new' stories.
I need to feel some sunshine - this cold dampens the soul! I did get out today to ride over to Jenny's to feed her 2 cats but mainly to feel the sun through the car windows!
Seems like Train could pay me for advertising for them! :)
I was over on my FB page trying to clean it up with some of the 2009 comments. Some of them I just had to leave!
Well, Sharon at least Free Admission would be nice for TRAIN to acknowledge your publicizing them!
Good Evening Momsters and Dadsters.
Welcome Eggcited... can't wait to find out your "other name" then we can get confused all over again....as you will trying to figure how our "other names" go with our monikers...get your cheat sheet ready !
Hope your healing and recovery will move along swiftly
Welcome home Margy... Sure hope you had fun today.
News is on - almost time for me to head down the hall.
Anyone see the news store on
25-Alive about the new fire station at Hedgesville?
Glad to hear the Little Maggie is perking along, and have added Jim's Maggie person and her family to my prayer list also ♥
Surfing cams - I see a ferryboat at Finny.......
3-4 deer in the PA woods.
Chrissy reports, that temperatures were 15 degrees below zero at her roost last night :(
Gee, do you think the nurses took the computer away from Eggcited? Maybe we had her heart racing too fast. Hope she is sleeping soundly and that they don't wake her unneccesarily.
I did have a nice time with James, Jo...thanks...
we threw lots and lots of ice and snow balls in the parking lot, he loves to see them break apart and go sliding across the pavement, also hit the Goodwill store of course, I got some good books!
I did not hear any owls though!
Hedgie - we didn't order the blooming onion but I sure could spell all the others being served!
What's the closest OUTBACK to you all?
Paula
your little Snoopy is going to lose a lot of weight and pump up his cardio-vascular function with that dancing ! ☺
Time for me to quit -
You don't spell onions
You do smell onions........ lol
Ferryboat can get through the icy waters? Wow, wish I had seen it.
Outback for me is about two miles...
nice and close ! Haven't been there for years....
Good Night Jo...
Sleep Sweetly....
Margy, after chrissy mentioned the satellite images....they showed it on the news! Longest cold spell there in over 30 yrs.
LOL, I saw that Jo.
Sharon - ya think?
Love you guys...hitting the hay now, see ya in the am.
Hugs to all ♥
Well, dear ones, time to throw some logs on the fire and get into the tub with my Johnson's Baby Vapor Bath----like bathing in Vicks' Vaporub fumes---very soothing and does help open up the head!
Prayers for all. See you tomorrow!
All you could see were the lights of the ferryboat - it is probably a large cruise ship we just always joked about catching the Ferry!
Good night Paula
Well I missed the deer and the ferryboat, but it is snowing again at Pix!
Have you all heard the tinkling of wind chimes there? I have but don't now...
Jo, maybe you just meant quit typing but Good Night in Advance anyway ☺
OH the deer are back
Good Night Paula, Good Night Hedgie....
do you all remember Pic Temple?
Moooooooo Good Night Everyone else.
I am disappearing too....going to check out my new old books..
God Bless Us, Every One
xoxo ☺ ♥
Hope you feel 100% better in the morning Lynn. I don't remember seeing Lynne2 today.
Nite Margy.
Good Night All
Prayers for everyone's needs
For healing and wellness
((hugs)) ♥ ♥ ♥
Sorry I missed EGGCITED. I sure do hope her illness is not as bad as it sounds...Life Support!
Had a nice dinner with GG and Denise and Brandon came with us.
Love those two:)
GOOD NIGHT DEAR FRIENDS
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL, ESPECIALLY EGGCITED.
THANKS GIVEN FOR SWEET MAGGIE'S BEING AT HOME.
Maybe Lynne 2 got the job and was at work!
Check in with us Lynne!
Nite
Oh !
It is tomorrow here in our time zone....
Happy Birthday Lolly !! Hope it is your best one ever, filled to the brim with all your favorite things and people!
If I'm up in an hour, I will wish you the same when it is January 9
in YOUR Time Zone ! ☺ ♥
Good evening. Looks like I'm too late again.
Hi all! Why, thank you, Margy!
Can not believe I have not been on all evening.
I'm still up Diann....but leaving the computer for a few minutes...
there is a Loo in the Eagle Express!
Keep considering it, there are several who will not be outside much, but the windows are BIG in the Eagle Express....
Lolly? You have a birthday? Happy, Happy!! You don't look a day over 30 - lucky girl.
love
Wow Loll, way cold out your way!
What a crazy winter this is...
everywhere !!!
Thanks Magpie that's something to negotiate with.
Unfortunately Ilive so far north that the Eagle express shouldn't have to go that far out of their way.
We'll discuss meeting somewhere.
Good nite friend.
Okay, It's Official Now, Lolly:
Happy Birthday in YOUR Time zone now ! Enjoy !
Your Grand Canyon trip pictures, are Great !!!!
'Night now...
xo ☺ ♥
Yep, it is now official....another year older. Thanks Margy! Sweet dreams. Talk to you tomorrow.
Nite all...God bless and keep you!
Thank you for being in my life!!
You are the BEST!
Hi, Everyone!
Good night! :o]
Good morning to all.

I hope everyone is having a good morning.
Happy, happy birthday Lolly!!
WHOA! BOB---Thanks for sending us those 'AWESOME' photos!!---
Happy birthday, Lolly.
