Lolly, dear Lolly What can I say...sorry for the disappointment, but relieved that Jack got the treatment he needed. Now we have you back with us, but that is not much consolation to you I reckon :(
I have a brother in law who has to self catheterize himself, always, difficult but he manages....
Hey everyone! Just wanted to pop on and try to catch up, but I'm so tired. Been an emotional few days, but Raven is at peace now. I'm so tired I can't catch up on all the blogs but... I am SO SO SO glad to see that Judie is doing well! What a relief! I'm sure she's feeling so much better now! And Lolly, I'm so sorry about Jack and I hope he feels better soon. But I'm so sorry your plans had to be scrapped. I know you are so disappointed. Like they say "every time you make a plan, God laughs" but there has to be a divine reason for this. Not that that makes it easier to take. I'm heading off to bed and will hopefully sleep well tonight for a change. My prayers are with you and once again, cause I feel like I can't say it enough...thank you all so much for your prayers for us.
Spent almost two hours in Michael's (store) scouring for anything Eagle! Very disappointed....would love to have found a wooden stamp and ink deal, but no go...other nice things, but NOT EAGLE !
Hi Margy! Sounds like your brother in law and Jack could have a long talk. It may come to that. I do know he is probably headed to surgery, hopefully outpatient. We will find out next week. This situation has a long history and we do not know where it is headed. He just had not told me that it was getting bad this morning. I am thankful that we were only and hour down the road. It is more than an 8 hour drive. The hospital was new and very nice. We did have to wait a while until the specialist could get there. That was not good.
Okay back on, Lolly....my brother in law might be a little older than your Jack, I think, early 70's though I can't remember for sure....a prostate problem. Makes me sad, but it is what it is.....
I always remembered our Dear Deb checking out for the night, saying she was going to do some reading. I always meant to ask her what she was reading...
Since she died, I have been reading a book when I go to bed. ♥
and that's what I am going to do now xo Good Night, Precious Pals
I sure hope tomorrow brings a Fresh Thread - 2 splits is enough. People can get lost!
Margy the photos from this evening's visit are really good! Thanks so much.
I am just having a catch up evening. Tomorrow is Market day and maybe lunch at Mellow Moods!
I am going to close down for this evening. I am praying that Steve & Lynne, Dana, Jack & Lolly and Judie & Frank all have restful sleep and pleasant dreams. That really goes for each of you! Me Too!
Good Night All Prayers for everyone's want/needs (((hugs))) ♥ ♥ ♥
So thankful that Judie is doing better. Thanks Darth for the report.
Lolly, sorry to hear about your DH. He is surely uncomfortable. If he complains too much, tell him you know an eagle Momster whose DH had to have a catheter for MONTHS--he finally had surgery which relieved the problem.
Usual fat racoons at the PA cam and deer at the snowman cam.
Quitting time!! Did someonme say lunch at Mellow Moods.... yummy... Lolly, so sorry your plans were cancelled. Glad you were able to get Jack to a hospital quickly though. Keeping you both in my thoughts.
Goodnight to all my fine, fowl friends. Praying for all but especially for Judie to keep that good circulation in her leg and foot. Praying also that Dana as well as Lynne and Steve are healing in their sadness. Talk to all y'all in the morning. BTW---love each and everyone of you.
Good Evening... We had a fun evening at China City. Denise, Karla (you know, the Beach Babies), Dustin, Gene, me and GG. Crab legs were very good toight, as was the spinach casserole.
So relieved to hear Judie has had her surgery and it sounds successful. If she can feet warmth all the way down to her feet. FRANK, you really are a Dadster (Popster) now. Once a man gets on this blog and makes a comment, he is automatically a member of our club!:)(whether or not you want to be, LOL) Thank you so much for updating us on Judie's condition. We love that lady like a sister, so please take care of her and make her behave (if that's possible;)
GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS PRAYERS AND BLESSINGS FOR US ALL SLEEP WELL
I'm probably the last one on here tonight so my prayer is for everyone to have a restful sleep.
I've read some really sad news in our local newspaper today. Two mature eagles were found dead Wednesday in southern Lancaster County, PA. A wildlife conservation officer said the eagles were taken to the University of PA's New Bolton Center diagnostic lab to determine cause of death. The PA Game Commission is investigating. It's very sad and if it was fowl play,(No pun intended). I hope they prosecute to the fullest! I'm really angry about this. I almost cried reading this article.
Now that I got this off my chest, I'm going to try and get some sleep.
To anyone still here, sorry to be the bearer of bad news since we've had so much on the blog lately.
God bless us and all God's creatures on the ground or in the skies!
Good (VERY late) evening--or is it good morning, everyone! Silly me fell asleep after dinner in my chair, in front of the TV! Lolly, I'm SO sorry your trip had to be cancelled, but VERY glad that Jack got the treatment he needed, and that your Annie is happy to be home. Prayers for you and Jack, and hopes that all works out well for both of you! I know it says in the Scriptures, "Man may make his plans, but the will of the Lord alone is carried out." Has happened to me SO many times, too--so I understand your disappointment. Guess there's MTBR later. Never answered some questions that a couple of you asked earlier--my Hubby doesn't play guitar, but he has worked for Fender Musical Instruments since Dec. of 1965. The guitar he won today is made by Jackson, a company that Fender M.I. now owns. It's a "heavy metal" guitar, and it's a really nice one! Hubby could not believe it when they called his name as the winner! It's a wonder he didn't faint on the floor! Surely made his day, to say the least!
Lynne, My heart has been so heavy for you and Steve the last few days--losing a beloved pet NEVER gets easier, does it? We lost our dog, Molly, in April of 2007 to liver cancer, and we STILL miss her so very much. We had her with us for 13-1/2 years. We have thought about getting another dog, or maybe a couple of kittens instead, but just can't bring ourselves to do it quite yet. Your heart is very raw when you've lost a longtime family member like that, and knowing the responsibility involved when they are near the end of their time here with us, you have to be ready to do the right thing. All considered, they are very much WORTH it, though, for all the unconditional love they give us! Praying for healing for your your broken hearts, and sending lots of love and ((((HUGS)))) your way. God bless you both!
Well, it's been raining here, hard at times. Satellite for the TV is "searching" again--no signal. Must be really heavy cloud cover out there. That's why I decided on CABLE internet--if I get shut off of the blog, you're liable to find me in a closet, in a fetal position, sucking my thumb! OOh--Hubby woke up, wandered to the kitchen, and made me a nice hot mug of tea! Feels really good to my very cold fingers. Guess I'd better say goodnight. Prayers for everyone, for all our various needs. Special prayers for Judie & Frank, for Lolly & Jack, for our dear Dana and her family, and for Lynn--hope you're not sore tomorrow after your Christmas tree lights escapade! Well, eagle buddies, sweet dreams, and restorative rest wished for all. The night light's on, the porch light will see you coming and light your way, and the eye scanner security system is ready to go. G'night, all! :o]
Good Morning, hope the parade in Bluefield goes well, and Market in Shepherdstown, and everything else that is going on today, including Healing and Wellness ☺

Diann - I just read that article...seems both eagles were electrocuted. They think the female died first, and the male may have been hanging around his deceased mate, and utimately met the same fate. So sad. This happened in Lancaster County.
DIANN---I read your sad story about the the 2 EAGLES found dead in PA!!---If it was an accident--I am so sorry---If it was intentional--I hope they FINE them so much they won't be out of the 'BIG HOUSE' for years!!---Really upsets me!----We had that a year or so ago in an adjoining county----finally caught the culprits & were fined & some jail time--

Re: hedgie said... Thanks, Shirley. I was figuring a play on Vader vs. Vjada!!! Frank, if you are still on....is the j silent and the a a long one??
Hedgie: Yes, you have nailed the Anglicized pronunciation of my Hungarian surname. Silent “j” and the 1st “a” is a long one. A phonetic spelling of my name would be “Vayda.” Trace back in history and many people carrying that name today dropped the “j” and inserted the “y.” You will find other variations such as Vaida. If you were a Hungarian speaking the native tongue, you would pronounce my name Voyda or Voida.
At the time Star Wars was popular and around the time Judie started teaching at college (NVCC) and university (GWU), she anointed me as Darth, as in Darth Vader, to help students remember the pronunciation of our last name.
Thus endeth today’s language lesson.
No news on Judie. She was doing fine when we signed off around 8 PM. Still slightly drugged and very, very tired. She had not slept for days prior to entering the hospital. Based on past experience, I would hope to have her home today or tomorrow. She is anxious to get back to school with final exams coming up.
Hope all is well with you and yours. Again, thanks for all the T & P [thoughts and prayers].
Morning Darth. So nice to hear from you this morning! I hope Judie is sleeping soundly, making up for the rest she missed. Sometimes it is easier to sleep at home, though. I had been thinking that she might be putting off the surgery until she had finished exams.
not sure, ref: Finland... cable under the platform, we were wondering about it yesterday morning too...every other refresh.... hope it is not a Live Wire!
I can see the chain in earlier pictures. But I can't believe just the chain might be reflecting some sort of light, otherwise you should see it around the entire nest. Interesting.
Good Morning... Isn't it great that Darth is keeping us informed of Judie's condition? Not many men would take the time to bother with this group of WONDERFUL WOMEN. He must know how wonderful we are!;) So, now, we think he is WONDERFUL. Thanks, Popster Darth and keep us informed...we do love Judie, she's our sister:)
Good Morning All! I guess I am on the 'newest' and that is where I should be! I sure hope Wanda is right this morning in thinking that I can't get the still feed up because the Live Feed is on it's way!
Hi folks, I posted a few pictures from my school. We have the most beautiful Christmas trees all around the building. I haven't gotten pictures of the trees in the library yet. I hear that one of our teachers is responsible for all of these trees. The one in the front hall is a Cindy Lou Who tree, I am told. Yesterday, I was walking into the building behind one of our special ed students. He was fascinated with this tree. It was a touching scene.
I could not walk by the art work and especially the bird picture without thinking of you all. An osprey, I think.
After my story about the girl who did not know what a bay was, I have to give you some positive images!
Good morning! Slept very well, except for when Annie asked out at 3 AM!!!! She spent the rest of the night outside. She has a nice fur coat and a comfy chair on the covered patio. Jack slept well and is okay, considering!!
Darth, love the explanation of your name. Hope Judie does come home today.
No newspaper this morning. lol Having withdrawal symptoms. Aren't we creatures of habit? Met Penny, our mail-lady, when coming home and she handed us our mail and tore up the stop mail slip, but could not cancel our stop paper order. Will try today. Gotta have my Sunday paper!!!
Need to unload presents from the van and repackage them to mail. My sisters present is large, will have to send it UPS, I guess. My brother does not get part of his gift....a bottle of wine. Maybe we can go down to the Valley in January.mmmmmmmm
Good morning all. So good to see Frank aka Darth back with us to keep us up-to-date on Judie. Hoping she does make it home today. Correct me if I'm wrong, Frank, but suspect that the stents may be just a temporary measure to save the leg; think that bypass is probably still in the future, unfortunately. :( Thanks for name explanation verification, Darth!!!! I did pretty good on that one! BTW---my BIL is Hungarian...second generation. (interesting tidbit: he also worked at GM; we got some transfers in from the midwest, and one guy had the same last name---Szabo---someone told him during training that we had a guy by the same name. When I got him for his physical I told him about my BIL---called him up, they started talking--in Hungarian--and it turned out they were second cousins! It's a small world!!!)
I got a cool capture of Finland water----illuminated ship and lights below nest pole---sent it to you all via email.
Terribly sad story from Diann out of PA.....poor eagles. But much easier to bear when it was accidental/nature rather than human evil.
Very relieved by hearing from our Popster Darth (I like Popster) and the update he gave us on Judie. Like you Shirley I know she was wanting to have the finals over before taking care of herself! Now I pray for her to catch up on her healing sleep even in a hospital bed!
I am getting ready to roll up over the mountains and cross the bridge into beautiful West Virginia. I'll holler a WHoo HOoo as I cross for all of you! BBL
Morning Everyone. So great to hear from Frank/Darth about Judie! (((HUGS))) to them as well as everyone else!! ☺ ♥
Lynn, I looked at Finland a little while ago & saw all the lights on the chain & a ship in background. Must have been tthe night ferry! But it went to all black before I got a pic. I know I used to see one light in the past on chain. Maybe it's a safety factor.
there has always been a light at the Finland nest on the chains, just not as bright as it has been the last 2 days....maybe changed the light bulb, might be a light like at a light house.
Lolly, glad Jack is feeling better. You'll just have to run to store for that paper!
Was out on deck and Shorty, the squirrel, begged twice for peanuts! She/he follows you to door!So cute & hungry. And if kitties are on windowsill shelf, they get to watch! Going to send myself to basement and attempt to wrap at least stuff going in mail. Know any elves?I need lots of help! ☺
Good Morning, Eagle Buddies! Hope you're all having a good morning! Just have a couple of minutes here~~we're going to meet my sister-in-law for breakfast, and will probably spend the whole morning doing something fun. Here's a picture of Hubby, Ken, with the guitar he won. It's really a pretty one! Frank/Darth, so good to hear from you again! Give my best to Judie when you see her--hope she didn't eat the tray as well as the dinner last night! Still praying for her situation. Hope she can come home today! Love the explanation of your nickname--pretty cool! Lolly, hope you manage to get a newspaper delivered! Hope Jack is feeling okay too--prayers for that situation, for sure! Shirley, beautiful pictures! I just LOVE Christmas trees!
Nice picture, Andrea. Great Christmas tree and school hallway art pictures on Shirley's blog Don't dare sign off the blog, FWS sites won't open..might not ever know if we get a new thread! Or maybe Steve will discover that when we do... sure it will clear up eventually.
Hello late morning folks.
Ddin't sleep well, now need a nap. That's pathetic :(
Cool guitar, for sure, Andy!!! Nice looking hubby, too! Have a fun day. Poor Loretta.....sorry I don't have any elves to send! And poor Lolly.....having to drop back and punt with those out-of-town gifts! Glad that Jack is feeling better.

Lolly, dear Lolly
What can I say...sorry for the disappointment, but relieved that Jack got the treatment he needed. Now we have you back with us, but that is not much consolation
to you I reckon :(
I have a brother in law who has to self catheterize himself, always, difficult but he manages....
Just re-read both of Frank Darth's comments...simply amazing, what has happened in the last 24 hours with our Judie
God Bless the Care Providers, and that poor soul delivering her first meal !

I think there is an endless supply of those ☺ ♥
..and Lolly - we know and are comforted that Jack has THE BEST NURSE !!!
I think Tiger Woods should change his nickname, we have ONE TIGER AND ONE TIGER ONLY ! And, SHE, IS THE BEST TIGER!
Warm bed and an early night here, might try to get Christmas cards done Saturday, without Eagle Stickers to put on the envelopes
:(
Rest well, be restored and comforted, Eagle Pals.

Morning Darth. So nice to hear from you this morning! I hope Judie is sleeping soundly, making up for the rest she missed. Sometimes it is easier to sleep at home, though. I had been thinking that she might be putting off the surgery until she had finished exams.
Does she still have to have more surgery?
MORNIN' SHIRLEY!---I just checked the PA site again--heard the sound again---maybe PA antler-less deer season is in!---??
Thanks, Darth. Love the Darth Vader explanation.
So, based upon past experience, I take it this treatment will help Judy very well?
Tell her we miss her and hope she is feelling better today!
Looks like maybe a RWBB on BWO
Didn't seem to bother the squirrels that I could see.
Thanks Popster Frank! You are doing a great job keeping us posted, and comforted.
Love to "our" Judie, and YOU ! ♥ ♥
Red winged black bird?
Paula,
I wasn't up all night but was up and down some...can't get sleep schedule nailed down! I think I go back to days in January ☺
SHIRLEY---We will pray---no news--is GOOD NEWS!!
Temp at snowman cam is about 4 or 6°
Finland getting dark and that chain is aglowing
Yes, Shirley
Thanks, Paula.
Yes, Norma, we will pray.
Beautiful cardinal in my backyard. Usually the mate is nearby.
Eagle at BWO
Do you think those are lights at Finland, Margy?
I guess not, now dark.
Now you can see them again...interesting!
Now really bright! Wonder if they are blinking lights?
Flashing lights? Someone playing mind games with us?
Looks like a string of Christmas lights to me.
not sure, ref: Finland...
cable under the platform, we were wondering about it yesterday morning too...every other refresh....
hope it is not a Live Wire!
the cable has been there all along, and sometimes I noticed it brightening on the refresh, but nothing like the last day or so
I can see the chain in earlier pictures. But I can't believe just the chain might be reflecting some sort of light, otherwise you should see it around the entire nest. Interesting.
Is our cam going down????
mine is down and I can't log onto FWS site....was going to check for a new thread :(
Good morning friends.
My cam seems frozen. Says will reload in 1 sec.
Good Morning,Thelma...
Where are you spending Christmas?
Are you all going to Bluefield? Buddy too?
I probably won't be on here very much today, Dustin (THE HERO) is visiting and he has discovered the wonders of FACEBOOK...enough said!
Maybe our new LIVE FEED is on it's way? If so, Dustin will have to find some other entertainment!:)
Wanda - I don't think the live feed is on the way...just think the FWS sites are down again.
That would be nice, Wanda
Good Morning to you, and T-Bird, and all new Morning people...
got to head out to the bank
TTFN xox ☺
Good Morning All! I guess I am on the 'newest' and that is where I should be!
I sure hope Wanda is right this morning in thinking that I can't get the still feed up because the Live Feed is on it's way!
Up before ten so I can go to market by noon!
Two eagles at BWO.
2 eagles at BWO now
I think someone has put some blinking Christmas lights up in Finland.
good morning everyone...have a good one:)...thanks Darth for the update on Judie.
wow Shirley, the Christmas Trees and art work are beautiful:)
Thanks, Mits.
Beautiful view of two eagles at BWO.
It looks so cold at the Snowman cam. Beautiful, but so cold.
Well, time to get moving...gotta go grab a shower and head out to do some shopping.
Snow on the edge of the lens at Snowman.
Two eagles at BWO!
Shirley - the art work is exceptional!
Love the trees too. Quite a welcome when you come in the front doors.
Sun is out and you can see blue sky through the trees at the snowman cam.
Thanks for name explanation verification, Darth!!!!
Very relieved by hearing from our
Popster Darth (I like Popster) and the update he gave us on Judie. Like you
Shirley I know she was wanting to have the finals over before taking care of
herself! Now I pray for her to catch up on her healing sleep even in a hospital bed!
I am getting ready to roll up over the mountains and cross the bridge into beautiful West Virginia. I'll holler a WHoo HOoo as I cross for all
of you!
Much to do around here.
BBL.
FINALLY A NEW THREAD IS UP.
Nice picture, Andrea.
Great Christmas tree and school hallway art pictures on Shirley's blog
Don't dare sign off the blog, FWS sites won't open..might not ever know if we get a new thread!
Or maybe Steve will discover that when we do...
sure it will clear up eventually.
Hello late morning folks.
Ddin't sleep well, now need a nap.
That's pathetic :(
