Sad about Chincoteague Island I knew it wasn't going to turn into a tornado. Surely didn't know it was going to do all the damage it did either. Terrible
Good Morning Eaglelanders!! Sure hope we get "live feed" soon.
Good Morning everyone! Today, I am NOT going to check 7 time to see if the live feed is back up!
Megan, what's a "Peace Wreath" (try saying that 3x real fast...)
Didn't see any meteors at 5am when I was up...cloudy.
Don't want to scare anyone but...my advice is to ALWAYS call the Dr. and don't assume no news is good news. Because *no news is NO NEWS*, period. (like Steve's recent test results, and an abnormal PAP smear I had a few years back that no one called me about.) I am a firm believe in the patient (or someone close in the event of patient not being able) to advocate for you own health. Doctor's offices are BUSY and full of imperfect humans. I have also gotten referrals in envelopes with my name on the front that were for someone else and a prescription once that was written for a medication that the Dr. mixed up. Yesterday, I even got a bill from my GYN for a copapy on a procedure that I DID NOT HAVE!!! Carefirst is NOT going to be happy about this!
Thought I would bring my dream over from the old thread!
Good morning. Well, I had a dream that was a little different. I dreamed that I was at Cedar Lakes in Ripley. We went in for breakfast and somebody was sitting at the table singing Amazing Grace. Deb was at the table, looked up at me and was crying. She said she needed to talk to me and then I woke up.
Now, I sleep with my MP3 player going and earphones in. The Amazing Grace was coming from that (Il Divo) but not real sure what made me dream of Deb!
wow Sharon, that's some dream. I would have woken up crying myself! Amazing Grace may have come on your player and subconsciously, because it's a song often done at memorial services, it made you think of Deb.
Don't really know Lolly, I just sleep. Have earphones in my ears all night. It is a Train thing! :) Except I added Amazing Grace to my playlist, which is not Train.
Paula my eyes where doing great. Until a week ago he had me come back in for a pressure test. You know where they do the puff into the eye. Since then my right eye has been blurry and very painful. Finally late last night it stop. I can only say "PRAISE THE LORD".
Lynne2 I envy you for your trip you went on. I've been wanting to go there so badly. Along time ago 70's I fish there a lot. Of course like I think it was you hubby that said he never seen any eagles when he fished there. Neither did I but wasn't right time of year. Question: If someone was in a wheelchair would they be able to go from the parking area to the walk area to see the eagles?
Mits, Ceil must be like me----only shop when I know what I'm looking for!!! Never could shop just to shop! Lynne and Sharon....agree that we must be proactive in healthcare!! Lolly, I ALWAYS have the stereo on when I sleep! Can't sleep w/o it. Always had music playing for my kids when they were little, too!
Absolutely Dana! The parking lot parallels the river just about to the dam. There is one area where they have a ramp, I've got it in a picture and I will try to post later..., it's kind of steep but it takes you up closer to the dam area. There are grassy areas along the fence line itself. It may not be the BEST for a wheelchair but I think it's doable! conowingo.
Dana, I have to run but hope you can see in the link the area close to the dam where I am sure a wheelchair is not a problem! You look straight across the water to the birds! BBL
Did you follow the directions by going Route 1 crossing the dam, the turned onto Shureville Road then next turn would have been onto Shures Landing Road which took you to the parking lot?
Hi everyone. Blessings around. I'm checking in and hope I haven't missed too much on the blog.
I've been bothered with severe hip pain that is only relieved when I relax and put my feet up. Like I need another joint to act up!
Thanks Dana for asking the questions about Conowingo. I, too, have limitations and that info is very informative.
During the night, I had a thought (maybe a dream) about an old, old tv show. Does anyone remember "The Life of Riley" with William Bendix? Have no idea why that thought came to me, but Jim is working today and I would usually ask him. He has a great memory of the old shows and actors. We have a game here where we try to remember an actor's name while watching some older shows and movies. It can sometimes take days to come up with the answer.
I have a 'funny' to tell you about Max's visit. will do that later.
Diann, The Life of Riley with William Bendix! I remember, tho' don't recall any of the other actors. "What a revoltin' development this is" Riley would say...remember??? Sorry your hip is acting up. When we make the trek to Conowingo, we can have the handicapped gallery: you, me, Jo, Dana and Judie!! And maybe Margy depending on how her back feels that day, and Wanda depending on how her knee feels! And Capt. Gene if his gout is acting up! LOL!! What a bunch we will be!!

I am anxious to see what the Am Cancer Soc has to say concerning these new guidelines of starting at 50 and then every 2 years. AND self-exams not any good and women shouldn't be taught to do them. I am having problems with this "new advice"
Glad to hear youhave made your phone call MeMa Jo I also agree about the new "guidelines' Its jsut the beginning of cuts to our health care. Not politically corect i know but afraid it is just the tip of the iceberg.
Jo, ACS has already refuted the claim. One of the things that bothered me most is that"my" cancer experts---Georgetown University Hosp.'s Lombardi Cancer Ctr.---was part of the government-sponsored study and concurred....argh!
Now ... Max watches a PBS show at home called the "Wiggles" and while he was here when he wanted to watch the DVD, he'd wiggle for his mom to start the player. Just imagine a 22 month old child with severe chills. It was so funny!!
His mom also taught him some sign language to converse with him. It turned out to be a good idea because he's not up to his age in speaking yet. He is geting speech therapy and it was GREAT to hear him say Nana & Pop Pop. He can sign apple, more, please, cookie, eat and milk. It's fun to watch him.
Waiting for a call from my doctor ... Jo, did you find anything out yet?
Lolly, have a good exam. I must schedule mine soon; Heck with the government advice!
Who's that crazy person doing Christmas shopping before Thanksgiving?
Must check on Diego's name. Afterall, I entered 3 times. ...later
that would be my sister, Ceil, who was Christmas shopping, and I can assure you she is NOT crazy, just organized. My shopping is done, so I guess that qualifies me as crazy also.
I am not sure where to look on the SD Zoo site to see the naming ceremony. I know they said they would have it on video later. I am thinking they will just put it in writing!..
Hi, Everyone, Wow! An EAGLE!!! Haven't seen one in a while! Is that Lib? Boy, that really makes my day! Now TWO! Gosh, didn't think I had a chance of seeing them, I'm so late getting here! Looks like nestorations are in progress!
Mits, are you an online shopper?? I try to do as much as I can that way. BTW---sent you an email responding to yours, but it came back saying that your queue was FULL!!!
After tallying 17,521 online votes, the winner of our panda cub naming poll was revealed during a ceremony Nov. 17. Yun Zi, meaning “son of cloud,” received 28% of the votes. The name honors the cub’s mother, Bai Yun, whose name translates to “white cloud.” Yun Zi is almost 15 weeks old and currently lives off exhibit in the panda bedroom area. Still Diego to us!!!
I forgot the time difference from here to SD so I guess I'll have to wait for the video.
Mits, my sister starts her Christmas shopping right after the holiday. She takes advantage of the great deals.
Ceil, you're one smart lady! While the rest of us are rushing around to get everything done, you and your sister can relax. That's why I look forward to January. ;o)
Diann I am far from finished. My son's birthday is December 9th and my husband's is Christmas. I like to get as much done before Thanksgiving before the weather gets too cold and the stores are overly hot.
SD Zoo said earlier on their blog that the naming ceremony wasn't being shown live online, but that they would post video of it later. A lot of people who posted comments on their latest blog post chose that name also. Wish they sould say what all the percentages were...sounds like it was a close race!
Well, now that the eagles have left, I'd better get busy and get a few things done. Have school again tonight--a new class. Will NOT miss the Anatomy homework! I'll be back later to check in. Have a great afternoon! :o]
Sounds like Belle and Lib have been in the nest a lot today. Hurrah!
Well, got THAT exam done for another year. Yeah, I read that in the paper today, too. I actually think that is crazy. I can imagine that doing it every two years a lot will forget. Also, waiting til 50 in another crazy idea.
Well, Diego it is! That is not the name I chose...will stick with Diego.
Jo?????? Still no phone call?
Guess I will head out an mulch some leaves. 59 now and bright sun shine. Pretty day!
Dana, from here west of Baltimore, we went up 95 but came back on Rt. 1. Had we come up Rt 1 we would have made a right just before crossing the dam. Maybe best to Mapquest it. Steve isn't home for me to ask the name of the road that we'd have turned on.
DIANN....SO TURE about remembering something you are trying to think of "days" later! Sorry your hip is acting up.
Lynn, what kind of dog do you have? Raven sometimes goes off in the yard toward the edge of the wood line an comes back smelling like skunk on the top of her head!! I think it must be some kind of weed.
OH MY GOSH....sounds like "the Handicapped Bunch" might need someone to go to the dam with them!! You all are so funny!
That is something about the new mamo recommendations. I think I saw on CNN (hard to hear at the Dr. office) that some are NOT happy with this. Interestingly, the 3 women that I have know that have had and survived breast cancer all found the lumps themselves between mamos.
Lynne, my dog is a dachshund. Never out where she can get into anything....only leaves in her yard! And she's not a roller outdoors. Do know from previous experience with my SharPei before we moved here....skunks can leave their scent on the ground, and if a dog finds it, they will roll in it!
And Margy even though mine were all in order as I took them and uploaded them - some were still out of order when they went into the album and I had to rearrange a few.
I missed the evening visit too, didn't I? Went for a shower before I start supper ... just my luck. Do they visit after dark?
Can't wait for the live cam!!!
Hedgie, PT is going ... but I'm really getting tired of going. I missed Monday's session because I couldn't drive myself. This is Jim's week to work, but I hope to give it a try tomorrow. Rest and heat seemed to lessen the hip pain.
Back in! Mowed and mulched leaves in the front yard. Really nice outside. Guess I will do the back yard tomorrow.
Meteor shower in the news. Supposed to be in the 30's tonight. A very chilly night to get up and go out in the middle of the night. mmmmmm What is the likelihood of that happening?
Got my call from the DR The report from the MRI is that there is nothing abnormal. That is good news because if it were a mini stroke it should have shown. And best of all there are NO MARBLES! So I don't really know what is rattling up there when I turn my head. Dr will set up an ultrasound test on the arteries in the neck just to be sure they are ok for a 70 yr old woman. It just may be that I'll never know for sure what happened. I just pray it doesn't happen again or that if it does that my hubby is right there with me. We know that we will go straight to the ER. Thanks for your concern and your many many caring prayers! (hugs to all my friends)) Jo

Lynne, I believe in being proactive about your healthcare, push the issue. Now if I could just practice what I believe!
hey Glo and Dex....loved the slide show!
wow Sharon, that's some dream. I would have woken up crying myself! Amazing Grace may have come on your player and subconsciously, because it's a song often done at memorial services, it made you think of Deb.
Lynn, bet Ceil was going for something specific...:)

there were not that many eagles to see back in the 70's had not recovered enough yet at that time..

Lynne and Sharon....agree that we must be proactive in healthcare!!

that is exactly how she shops Lynn:)....fighter jets flying over house now...hope it is a training session:)
Yep guess your right about that Mits :(
Little Diego is showing. Doesn't he get his name released today?

Thanks Lynn2 for the info.
Did you follow the directions by going Route 1 crossing the dam, the turned onto Shureville Road then next turn would have been onto Shures Landing Road which took you to the parking lot?
Have not read the blog since early this morning but have look at names.
Where is JO? Has any one heard from her?
I think that's how to go, Dana.
Ooops, Moosecam is stuck...
Your sister has heard from her.
What were you buying at Macys' so early in the am? Someone's Christmas present!
Good Morning... I did call Dr office as soon as they opened and reminded them I was waiting for a phone call!
I Am Pro Active! lol
Yep they had something on sale that I wanted and got it.
Doctor's ????????
Off to the bank. Tried to call my sister no answer

Must get something to eat.
... later
Ceil your sister probably is still at Macy's lol
Good girl, Jo!!! Hope you hear back soon!!
Just finishing bathing this stinky dog! Don't know what dogs do to get so smelly---yuck! She is mad at me.....Bad mommy :( !!
Paula - Pook doesn't keep the cam running until later in the season.. Right now it seems as though we get a pic and it stays up for awhile.
It was running for at least 1/2 hour this morning, Jo.
Loretta, if you are lurking....check your email, please!
Just checking in to see if Jo has a dr's report. Leaving now for my fun exam.
BBL
Diego is sound asleep.........
LOL, Lolly....according to government announcement, you don't NEED that test---it can wait another year!! JMHO, but think these new guidelines are just a precursor to government health plan rules so that they won't be paying for "annuals"!
Way cool, Harriet was just calling out...
I would like to see the statics of women aged 40 to 50 as to how many were diagnosed of cancer . I am
anxious to see what the Am Cancer Soc
has to say concerning these new guidelines of starting at 50 and then every 2 years. AND self-exams not any good and women shouldn't be taught to do them. I am having problems with this "new advice"
OMG Eagle alert our nest!
Nestorations in progress!
Lib is sneaking in some nestorations while Belle isn't looking, LOL
LOL Lynn. I didn't remember Riley's remark, but thanks for the reminder.
EAGLE!!!
Must be waiting on someone!
Now just relaxing and looking out the back of the nest.
Snowing in Oregon! Website has a new look....cam still knocked sideways.
But Paula, she will know! :)
Harriet is all over the place today...
Lib standing on the back...was looking out, now facing cam!
POOF!!
He is standing at attention!
Hi Sharon!
YUP - I'm sure she'll move what he brought!
Actually, he didn't even finish placing it...it's the one that looks like it would be the 11 hand...guess he figured "why bother" LOL
Glad to hear youhave made your phone call MeMa Jo I also agree about the new "guidelines' Its jsut the beginning of cuts to our health care. Not politically corect i know but afraid it is just the tip of the iceberg.

I know they said they would have it on video later. I am thinking they will just put it in writing!..
We may even see it on CNN or a news broadcast before we see it in writing!
Think that any of those niggling subconscious fears that our lovelies might nest someplace else can be put to rest, huh???
BOTH!
Mits, sorry. No harm intended. I just am not organized and I envy those who are.
Hi, Everyone,
Wow! An EAGLE!!! Haven't seen one in a while! Is that Lib? Boy, that really makes my day! Now TWO! Gosh, didn't think I had a chance of seeing them, I'm so late getting here! Looks like nestorations are in progress!
Got some good captures!!!
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! Beaking!
Okay, added pics to album!
Diann, bet Max is really cute when he wiggles!
Mits, are you an online shopper?? I try to do as much as I can that way.
BTW---sent you an email responding to yours, but it came back saying that your queue was FULL!!!
One Poof !
Did anyone see Bai Yun drag Diego?
I think she dragged him back to nurse. So cute.
I'm Backkkkkkkkkk!
I'm getting too many pics.......
EAGLES IN OUR NEST!
How long have they been there?
Glad you are here Wanda
Staying a long time - doing nestorations
Lynn has some photos in album and I have quite a few more to put in...
Enjoy them!
I can't believe our eagles showed up! This is fantastic. I've been missing them for days--they really are GORGEOUS, aren't they?!
They sure are hanging around for a while!!! Sign of things to come!!
Afternoon delight of a different kind! :)
Diann - I keep looking for the official name to be broadcast on the SD zoo........ nothing I can find so far. It should be 11 am their time now!
I see it has been a long off & on visit:)
Diego is squirming away big time with Bai!
Wow, they've been here for a really long time! This is great! Guess it means that they're doing some serious nestorations!
Panda Cub’s Name: Yun Zi

Ceil, you're one smart lady! While the rest of us are rushing around to get everything done, you and your sister can relax. That's why I look forward to January. ;o)
Looks like Diego is playing with mom's foot.
The panda cub is Yun Zi, son of cloud!
One Poof!
Oh my that is the name I chose.
Diann I am far from finished. My son's birthday is December 9th and my husband's is Christmas. I like to get as much done before Thanksgiving before the weather gets too cold and the stores are overly hot.
Ceil, you have double deadlines.
My son in law is Dec. too, so I better get started soon!
Just saw Jo's post about Diego's name. Darn... but I guess that name fits. He's so cute no matter what his name.
2 in the nest!!!!
I think Lib and Belle are thinking the same thing as you Christmas/B-Day shoppers - Better get it done before it gets too cold!
Well, shoot........I was so sure it was going to be the Diego translation name. Oh, well....it is what it is! Yun Zi will always be Diego to me.
Those 2 in the nest have been there now for about 35 minutes and have been
very busy!
Yep, Paula, they've been in the nest for quite some time.
I'm with you, Lynn. Yun Zi may fit technically, but he'll always be Diego.
SUN here.....wonder how long it will last? :)
Better late than never to the alert party!
Belle in the middle, Lib at the back
Putting some photos in E_M album
Lynn has some in already..
SD Zoo said earlier on their blog that the naming ceremony wasn't being shown live online, but that they would post video of it later. A lot of people who posted comments on their latest blog post chose that name also. Wish they sould say what all the percentages were...sounds like it was a close race!
Ceil, I forgot our sons have the same Birthday!
My goodness, read my email, started spaghetti and those eagles are still there! Wowsie, as Jo would say;)
We were in Hagerstown and filled my car up with $2.53 gas...$2.73 over here!
I called Sissy and told her Diego's name and that it meant son of cloud so now she is calling him Sonny.
So now we have ZZ and YZ!!
Can't believe my good fortune! Haven't seen Belle & Lib in SO long, and they've been in the nest for a VERY long time!
Deer and 3 big gobblers eating lunch together at USW.
Hmmm actually looks like Lib in the middle and Belle at the back...
Hmmm, nevermind, Belle close to cam now, Lib at right rear.
Poof for one
Belle still there
Wow, Belle poofed too!
POOF Belle.
Darn ... missed them again. Not only is my organization off, so is my timing.
Gosh, Paula, wasn't that awesome?
Looks like they're reallly getting serious about that nest!
Oh, that is Columbia on the NEC cam..Harriet was on the Bonnie Hunt show today :)
BTW = my avatar is a picture of one of the Harrisburg Peregrine Falcons from the PGC site, but I don't think it's one of this year's.
And the show was previously taped.
Oh Andrea, they are here to stay :)
I think they're getting ready ahead of a cold winter!
Hi, Diann,
That's what's been happening to me lately--can't believe I finally timed it right. My avatar is a picture from this visit.
I think you're right, Paula! Sure hope so, any way!
Diann, that falcon is a beauty!
Pretty day!
BBL
Nope, Lolly! It will come! But, yes, I am getting a little antsy now.
Jo, don't worry, now you know that if there was a problem, you doctor would have called you by now!
Hello friends.
Hi T-Bird
Hi Everyone else.
Beautiful Osprey at Cape Coral Florida, been there awhile
Cape Coral Fla Osprey Nest
See there were some lovely Eagle visits to OUR nest today.
Nice pictures.
Beautiful view of Eagle at Maine Cam sun setting there
forget, it just flew out, darn it
but if you have it up now, you might hear eagles calling....☺
think I need to make a road trip to Hagerstown for gasoline !
Saw your post Wanda...
Margy, I am so glad you have sound!
Dunedin is black won't open :(
Thanks, Sharon, me too. Hope our new live feed when we get it, has sound ☺
but our eagles don't make all that noise like the ones in Maine do...at least, I haven't heard them very much...
Lynne, my dog is a dachshund. Never out where she can get into anything....only leaves in her yard! And she's not a roller outdoors. Do know from previous experience with my SharPei before we moved here....skunks can leave their scent on the ground, and if a dog finds it, they will roll in it!
Diann, how is your PT going??
Hi, Margy! Did you sleep well?
sort of, Lynn...back is acting up...
sure wish I was on dayshift
The sound on our last live feed was listening to their "eating" lol

EAGLE
Time to turn the night light on !
I think it is Beautiful Belle
you don't think we are the only ones watching do you Jo ?
Yes, I think it is Belle, also:)
rearranging things
well that was nice, wonder if there will be another visit.
I'll do my pictures up in a bit
Hi evening eagle people ☺
Wanda and Jo, were you picturing it?
Osprey lying down in the nest at Cape Coral...
Pics are all yours - I have put in way too many today! lol
No such thing as too many pictures...that's what Paula told me awhile back !
And Margy even though mine were all in order as I took them and uploaded them - some were still out of order when they went into the album and I had to rearrange a few.
One is Back !
HE'S BACCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKK!
scoootching in the nest cup
I only meant I was tired of typing 11/17!
EAGLE BACK IN OUR NEST AGAIN!
So Lib is going to turn on the night light!
I felt that way on Sunday morning Jo.
Hi Paula...☺
Lights on and Spidey has started.
I wonder if Spidey is inside the light?
Yep, pictures are all your's Margy.
I have to go... will do the pictures in the morning when I get home after 0600.
Best wishes for good evening, prayers continue for all our needs..
God Bless Us, Every One
xo ☺ ♥
I missed the evening visit too, didn't I? Went for a shower before I start supper ... just my luck. Do they visit after dark?
Can't wait for the live cam!!!
Hedgie, PT is going ... but I'm really getting tired of going. I missed Monday's session because I couldn't drive myself. This is Jim's week to work, but I hope to give it a try tomorrow. Rest and heat seemed to lessen the hip pain.
got most of the pics up will do the last few in the morning
xo TTFN
Is anyone watching ESPN? Is that rain or snow? I wish they would at least let us know which state this video in. Hmmmm...
These deer seem rather skittish too. I know it's the "rut" in PA but is it here?
... gotta get supper ready for Jim.
... later
Got my call from the DR
The report from the MRI is that there is nothing abnormal.
YEA Jo! Sounds good...very good. No marbles, huh? How about peas?
Love you, (((hugs))). Maybe you will never know...just one of those things.
Breathing sighs of release for our Jo!!!! What took him so long to tell you the good news???
What's that? Meatballs in Jo's head? No surprise;)
