was too tired when I got home from zoo last night to do laundry, so have to get my zoo shirt washed and dried before I leave, probably would not matter if it is a little damp...sometimes the animals like to be out in the rain...go figure??

We feel like we had winter and fall has returned. We had cold rainly weather and now beautiful weather for the last couple of weeks. However, we had so much rain that it is still running out of our ground. Water still standing and it has been weeks.
However, possible rain Sunday and cooler weather returning.
Time to eat breakfast. Jo, had to laugh. You mentioned you like your breakfast late. So do I! Jack ate long ago and is heading out to eat lunch with friends.

Laundry is done---towels are in dryer and okay for them to stay there if I don't feel like folding!
Just have to dust, and cleaning will be done. Vacuumed yesterday, scrubbed b/r this morning, so feel like I've accomplished something!

Oh, Jim, it is delicious! Anything w/ PB and bacon suits me fine!! And I do them toasted, not toasted, grilled....all yummy. Today it was just on fresh, soft rye and it really hit the spot!

I'm dragging in late today--was up pretty late last night working on the 'famous Anatomy Project'. Slept in after Hubby went back to work, and have been yawning ever since!
Then did some housework, and the bug man showed up to spray around the doors & windows outside. So--here I am, finally!
Hope you guys all slept well last night! I did, but just not long enough...must catch up this weekend! Lynn, I LOVE PB&J+BACON sandwiches! Was reading back on the blog to catch up, thinking to myself that a PBJ&B would be good for lunch, and all of a sudden, there you were, mentioning one! Well, that does it--case closed!
Guess I'd better go assemble one, 'cuz it's getting late for lunch here, and I also have a phone call or two to make plus an errand to run. Will come back in a while. Have a good afternoon/evening!
Hey! I'm checking in. Daughter and grandson, Max, are visiting and she uses my computer to do "homework." Can you believe she's in her 40s and just now finishing her degree? Of course, she went into the USMC right after hs graduation and retired just a few years ago. I had to wait until 62 to retire! Her oldest son, Jared, is in the Army Reserves and in college right now. We're hoping and praying he isn't taken out of school and sent abroad.
I missed the afternoon visit but hope to get to see the royal pair at the night visit if I'm able. I may just have to fight for the computer between 5 and 6.
I must oversee tonight's supper and I'll have to make extra since Teresa's brothers will be here too.

Been trying to accomplish the impossible the amateur way. Copied the pic of Deb that Wanda put in album w/her turquiose shirt & I guess Gabby. Painted out Gabby,put Deb's pic on a colorful sundown pic & as you see, the borders of cropped pic show.I've been painting, trying to blend in the grass, trees, & sky around her. 3/4done. Photoshop does have an extracting tool, but does not explain how you get 2 pics up at same time & manual is written in Chinese, so I gave up. I understand what I'm doing even if it takes a couple days!So there!!
If the phone fell in toilet around here, we could blame older cat! She goes after handheld phone-- it's on answering machine & she sure knows how to unravel TP!!

Can you believe that, guess the sound travels along the water. Perfect it was.
I remember Hecht's all right. I still have some of my parents old shopping cards, from Garfinckels and The Willard. They weren't exactly like modern day credit cards, they resemble a ticker tape with holes punched in them. Same as their old driver's licenses.

Here is another word my Uncle Nick uses when he is done giving the dog treats. Fanito Benito He says it as he puts his hands up for the dogs to look at his hands and see they are empty. (good memories)

good night everyone, got home after 9, good day at the zoo, and good meeting tonight...was held at the zoo commisary..been on tour before, but, it was nice to see behind the scenes again...keepers updates were good....when we were leaving heard one of the volunteers mention eagles....so jumped on him and said what eagles and where, he is a terrific photographer, and he said he was up at Conowingo Dam site last week and I said, did you see any, he said, sure did about 80....ROAD TRIP:)
Conowingo Dam is north on I95..right before you go into Delaware.

Hope to stay awake to see 'Grey's' tonight, and maybe 'Private Practice'. Hubby and I watched a 2-hr. 'House' we recorded, not sure when, and it was fantastic! Love that show!
