Hi everyone. I got lost in yesterday's comments but soemone was talking about shoulder bursitis. Years before my replacements and rotator repairs I had a severe case of bursitis and a RN told me to use ice. I thought she was wacko, but it worked wonders. Certainly can't hurt. I still use ice on my shoulder since the replacement(s).
Do we also have a little one that is sick? Hope she gets well real quick. It's no fun for mom either, blessings on all the mothers, and fathers, of sick little ones.
Speaking of little ones. My youngest gs and his mom hope to visit next week. Can't wait to see him - and his mom, my daughter.
Debating if I should get dressed today ... still in my pjs and they are so comfortable. I can probably make supper in them, right? Jim gets home after 7 PM so he wouldn't know the difference. ;-)

It was my shoulder, Diann. Doctor suggested heat and it does feel good. I linger in the shower. I will get a chance to talk to a therapist soon. I will ask about it.
I need to check out the crock pot!

It is sometimes strange, the question of whether to use heat or cold on a sore spot. I appreciate your suggestion, Diann.
Still need to go vote. Have enjoyed the day off. Got some assignments done earlier than usual.
My therapist always ends my sessions with ice. I asked about heat and she told me the ice is better for inflammation, which does make some sense. i have a lot of inflammation after she's done with me.
I love the turkey avatar. It's Megan, right? I looked at your flower pics again. I just love those pink peonies. I wasn't able to bring in bouguets this year and I have my mother's deep dark red one that looks great mixed with the white and pink. I don't think my pink ones are as pretty as yours though.
Any visitation to the nest today? I'll be looking in occasionally.

We can compare notes after I see my therapist, Diann. I didn't ask the doctor why he marked out "ice" and wrote in heat. I think it is often a matter of opinion. I have heard that you should use first one and then the other.

SUZANNE UPDATE PER PHONE CALL
Our gal said to tell everyone she loves you, she is doing wonderfully well and that she even got to watch Bones last night! lol
Suz is working at the Corporate office for her old company - only 2 employees opted to go to the new company. There are 21 employees that are now 2 buildings down from her old bldg. They are fully employed with 40 hrs same pay until they find a job! They open at 6:30am & No sooner. Suz leaves home around 4:30 and her quitting time is about the same - 2:30pm. She gets to go through her snail mail and newspaper and watch TV. She wanted to know what was on tonight. The company's VP emailed them all when he heard they lost the contract Oct 31. She has an office, laptop, phone and help with the resume. She is sounding sooooooooo

Dental apptmt. went ok----but my dentist was off. New owner of practice was out as he became a new dad last night. Luckily, the other original old-timer guy was there, and I have seen him before. No problems. New type of x-ray equipment---much easier to deal with...all computerized, too!

I was SO hungry for KFC, so went after dentist....came away very angry. They no longer make Extra Crispy.....that is all I've ever eaten---don't even like the plain original recipe.....I've been eating it since about 1970 when my sister was a manager at a KFC.....I just can't believe it....

I completed 6 pages for Jacob's book. Sitting at the computer is not good for my back. Went out and hunted for pecans and my back is feeling better.
Jo, we have a scanner, but it looks like we need a new one. I am creating the book in Print Shop. Then I will take it to Office Depot to have them laminate it and bind it.
I am glad we had a nest visit, but sorry I missed it.

Once you start saving pics and adding to albums, you will find that you need a good naming system to save you some time

You should be able to bring up the site where you have saved the photos.
Highlight the photos and click on Open.
They automatically upload and then just click to View you Photos
It is only your album so it's ok if you flub a few. Margy say she is sending you info also.

Evening Everyone! Lovely day today at the Park except for computers!I was screaming AARRGGHH this AM, as cannot even open IE now! (Did you hear me?) Says "this site is not accessible"!!!!One of our naturalists was compiling a list of sights that we use & she added 3of mine which will go to our Chief and maybe get on if they fix it. The only internet site thru IE that we use for daily business did open but then timed out and gave me another nasty message. I called that office & you need to close it out & maybe turn off machine for awhile!!! The program is called Smartlink, BUT we've always called it DUMBlink!! Thank God I won't be there except every other Sat. til 2010!

Due to a forecast of high winds, the banding has been rescheduled until tomorrow (Thursday November 5, 2009) at 10am Australian EDST. Hopefully the weather will be kind as this will be our last opportunity to band our three chicks. Any longer and there will be an increased risk that the chicks may attempt flight when the researchers approach the nest box.

Well, I am relieved. I checked my grade for the blogging class, and it said my grade was a -8. Yikes! I have been working pretty hard to have a -8, so I e-mailed the teacher and asked if I had overlooked something. She said that I had not overlooked anything. I had just called her attention to an error that she would fix.
I still do not know how the grading system works, but I have a bunch of check marks.
Well Tonight is TV Night!
3 in a row but at 10pm I get very sleepy. Not sure I'll make them all.

At Park today saw/heard the gulls and some geese circling around & of course the main reason was an Eagle!! Taa Daa. He was far away, but sun made his white points unmistakable.
Put 1 eagle pic I printed on bulletin board~~think it's the 1st colorful one I put on Blog. Director saw it & said, nice but should Photoshop out the branch in front of his side!!! Double aarrgghh! It's Nature!!!!....Other naturalist laughed when he was gone! Well that's my day...now I'll shut my mouth!

Well I 've made enough chicken salad and cheese salad to last me a few days at work, I am really getting sad about going back on nighttime shift, I have so enjoyed being "normal" working days. That all starts at midnight Friday night into Saturday...

We've been watching the 48 Hours real shows about the police catching the bad guys.Interesting stuff.
BTW, there were enough leaves down to be able to see our Park Eagle nest from the road. Stopped there~~~no eagles but lots of pileateds zipping around. Guess I shouldn't worry too much about trying for close up pics there, since we got probably the best we ever will.
Although our from last week eagle pics are quite similar, wondering if I should put more on Blog as I edit them?..

Not too sure, Loretta, to answer your question about blogging; last time on this shift, I checked things out in the morning and then after I got up from sleeping, but I have to make some adjustments this time around, need to make some time to do some stretching type exercises because of my back.
We do shifts two months at a time, but I was on nights for a loooooong time, and days for just these two months.

Judie, I understand how you feel. Just enough time to say good morning and good evening. I have plenty of days like that, too. Your comments are so funny and entertaining. We are all missing that. We'll be glad when you are able to do it again, but nobody can keep that up all the time. You have to save your energy for the job.

Hey this 7 is OK. It this away of straiting it's self out. At first there was some problums but later they were gone. Still learming of what you can do with it. Does beat the heck out of Vtsta. I did not loose anything out of puter by upgradeing.

Thought I would get an early start this morning and buy some doughnuts for my first block class. Brain is refreshed. Shoulder does not hurt. I am good to go.
Lolly, I saw the first few minutes of V. The space ships arrived and the people were happy. I am afraid to get hooked on it. I don't think I have time to watch. Next week, I start teaching the SAT-Prep class one evening a week. I will still have a couple of weeks of the on-line courses to go, so I will be pretty busy. Parent conferences tomorrow evening.
