Good morning, Paula,

Actually, it's kinda on the cloudy or heavily overcast side around here. Supposed to stay cloudy and get up to the upper 70's though.

Hi Jim!
Thanks Steve and thanks for the callover Megan.

Little hummer's beak keeps popping up in the nest. It's so tiny. Both eagles still in Sidney nest.

NatureNut said...

Helen, TY. Will send him a note.
Gotta take lunch & pills
BTW, I keep getting generics, too & I write what their orig. name was or what they're for on the bottle!!

stronghunter said...

Eagles at Sidney poofed.

floralgirl said...

Yep, maybe they'll be back. They were bringing in sticks for a while now.

Mits said...

thanks Megan and Lynn...was busy watching the eagles at Sidney...got all wrapped up in the action

magpie said...

Wow talk about speed-reading, now I have to do a little Speed Napping.
Good time to repeat this:
Thanks to all our Veterans, gone before and still with us.

I hope someone can repeat the list again, don't think I can...but I have read them all and want to hug each one....so here: (( Hug ))

Would love to check all the wildlife but that's going to have to wait. Sleep time, preceded by what I want to think about at 7:30 pm EST - for Deb....

Happy Birthday to Mits's Daughter in Law Annie ☺ ♥

Prayers of strength and comfort to all Deb's family and friends as they prepare for the Memorial Celebration of Life this evening.

TTFN back before work at 6 pm
xo ☺ ♥

magpie said...

Norma I like the way your first message and my last message met this morning....♥
Like touching hearts and hands together

stronghunter said...

Hey, Lynne, Will did say the fixes won't work if you have a laptop. Call the radio station. If it's necessary, mention the FCC.

hedgie said...

I should also told that Jack Hanna brought on a Bengal tiger cub, a Bactrian camel 4 mo. old baby, a miniature horse, 2 flamingo chicks who they were tube feeding, a white-throated raven (the white is actually on the back of the neck) who would pluck poker chips out of his fingers and deposit them into a food container w/ a slot in the lid--this is called cacheing. It also tore pieces of tissues and tried to put them in, too.

Lynne2 said...

Shirley, called Verizon Fios, they said they can't help so they told me to call Compaq tech support and I am on "perma-hold" now waiting. FCC is next. I am hearing something being built, like saws and hammers, and car horn, airplane.

stronghunter said...

I really like Jack Hanna. Susan has said that she wants to be the next Jack Hanna. I think that's just a dream wish for her.

stronghunter said...

"Perma-hold." Love that expression. Have to go do errands. Deposit alimony check, get cat meds, etc.

BBL.

hedgie said...

Gee, Lynne, sounds like what we listened to at the Maine nest last year!!!

Lynne2 said...

I saw the baby hummer for a split second!!!!

hedgie said...

I can't remember what site it was--it may have been Maine---even tho' I closed the site, the sound remained on my puter until I rebooted..........I'm sure you've tried that, right?

hedgie said...

Wow, sure is noisy at Sidney----guess it's wind making something brush the microphone!

paula eagleholic said...

Eagle at BWO again..on that left side

Mits said...

there is sawing going on at Maine now...its a hand saw, lot of bird noises too

hedgie said...

Shirley, tell Suzi to go for it! Jack is getting old! But he sure has done well financially with all that he has done! Owns like 4 homes/farms/ranches, his favorites being I think Kentucky and someplace in Africa.

paula eagleholic said...

LOL, I was thinking of Maine, too.

Lynne2 said...

yes Lynn, tried that. Called Verizon, say not their problem, called Geek Squad, had me do some things, says it is Fios problem. Filed complaint with FCC. Gotta go, my pinky and ring finger have been getting numb and worsening....too much time on computer!

Lynne2 said...

you know, it still could be that I am crazy.....blubber blubber dribble dribble...hahaha!

Mits said...

well trust me FIOS will never admit it is their problem...been there done that

hedgie said...

Dr. Oz show today (3PM here on Ch.9) is doing an ovarian cancer piece.

NatureNut said...

Back for a sec. I did email Steve about keeping Deb's pic on Blog page.
At 7:30 PM, I'm going to read Chrissy's peom (if I can see) & look at the eagle pic--printed out the document that shows both.
Chrissy sent me her idea for naming chicks next year~~Deb & Palmer! I like that.

Gotta go--Fubby installing a seat in car!

Mema Jo said...

I am home Bong Bong Bong Bing Bing Bing
MRI's aren't so bad - I even was playing in my mind of Houston: This is Mission Control: All Systems Go!

Won't know of any results for about 48 hours... If no call I'll call Dr and speak to him personally on Friday. Not going to let happen to me what happened to Shirley!

Yes - Loretta - I also plan at 7:30 our time to read the poem and reflect on Deb & her family.

hedgie said...

Me, too, Jo and Loretta. A very fitting tribute, indeed.

NatureNut said...

I just emailed Chrissy & mentioned that she will be silent 'cuz that is 12:30 AM her time! Told what I was going to do. She seems overwhelmed that we love her poem so much & since she did write it originally for Koo, I think it's very appropriate~~~they are probably visiting each other!

well, I am off to the Cardiologist....I have to pay $30 for him to tell me that the reason my blood flow isn't showing a good uptake in a certain area because my breast tissue is too dense to get a good look. Waste of time and money I think. Although maybe it's not a good sign that my fingers are numb! See ya later!

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Good evening eagle buds! Been lurking around all day. I went to Deb's condolence site and posted something. Just bawled reading all the wonderful things people said about her. We need to make sure to say those things to people that are still here before we have to post them on a funeral home site, ya know it??

BTW, I love ya'll! Are we gonna do a moment of silence at 6:30 this evening?

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

My heart still just weighs a hundred pounds!!

hedgie said...

Hi, Thelma.
Lynne, are you serious---is that what they are saying the problem was???? Well, I sure hope it's that simple an answer!!

hedgie said...

7:30 our time, Shar.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

It's me Lynn, Sissy, not Sharon, but I will forgive you this time!! :)))))

magpie said...

I have printed out the picture and Chrissy's/ Koo/Deb poem as well and am taking it to work with me.
Will read it, as Loretta is going to do

Sissy - 7:30 pm our time, 6:30 Central time.....

I printed the picture and poem off the File on the Momsters Page entitled Deb's Memorial which Paula set up for us ♥

magpie said...

I also decided while tossing and turning, that I endeavor to GET OUT and experience more Wildlife !
To be able to identify Birds as Deb could, is a Dream.....

T-Bird said...

Magpie,
I know what you mean. I wish I was half as good at identifying birds as Sharon and Beverly. Forget going out in nature, how about just around the bird feeders at my house.

magpie said...

Yes, Thelma, that is a great place to start...how are you fixed up for bird books???

I know you have field glasses !

magpie said...

I wish I was off tonight would rather spend my moments with you friends than be in the midst of som 80,000 + people locally with telephones....my co-workers are nice people, but you know what I mean, about tonight...

magpie said...

our population is not really that high, but the people that can call and reach 9-1-1 and get us on a daily basis is about that high

hedgie said...

Oops---meant Sissy!! Duh...

magpie said...

but I will dedicate my skills to Deb's memory tonight.

hedgie said...

I know, Margy. Wish you were going to be here with us, too. :(

magpie said...

Also these prayers/verses I take with me:

Prayer of St Francis of Assisi (Lord, Make Me an Instrument of your Peace...)

the 23rd Psalm,
and
From the Gospel of Saint Matthew, Chapter 12, Verses 28 through 30
(Matthew, 12:28 - 30)

"Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light."

Time to make ready.
Love to all, we shall hold each other close tonight, Yes ?

God Bless Us, Every One \xo ♥

Bless you as you leave for work and thank you for ministering to each of us.

I have my picture and poem printed off. Thank you so much Paula for putting them together for us to find and save easily.

Is anyone planning on sitting here quietly on this Blog at that time, or are you pretty much just going to sit quietly wherever you are and reflect on that special one who shared her passion for eagles and all of wildlife with us if even for a shorter time than any of us could possibley guess? I can sit here quietly but I don't want to sit here alone. I can find another place to be if that is what I need to do. Please post your plans if you read this. Thanks

Mema Jo said...

I'll be sitting here at my computer

hedgie said...

I'll be sitting here, too, Glo and Jo. I am having so much trouble with my puters this evening, that I can't access hardly anything---mail, etc. If someone could please do a copy and paste of Chrissy's poem right here so that I can have it in front of me, I would be deeply appreciative.

Poem by Chrissy Beahan, Eaglet Momster

Don't cry for me, my Family,
For now, I’m but a Whisper on the wind,
I'm free to soar and glide so happily,
For now, I'm but a whisper on the wind,
My Freedom is blessed, I'm sure you now see,
For now, I'm but a whisper on the wind,
Look to the skies, JUST call for me,
For now, I'm but a whisper on the wind,
I'll say to you all, my dearest family,
For now, I'm but a whisper on the wind,
My Spirit soars, please, don't be sad for me,
For now, I'm but a whisper on the wind,
Remember me, from time to time my family,
For now, I AM, THAT WHISPER ON THE WIND !!!

Glo, I just wrote Chrissy that many of us will be reading her poem and she is overwhelmed that we like it so much. She originally wrote it about Koo at at that time I put Koo's pic & the poem together too & sent to her. I think it's so appropriate for Deb also and they are probably both together.
I won't be on 'puter, but sitting somewhere w/my printed copy.

Lolly said...

Hi all! Had a good day in that I got a lot accomplished.

Having a hard time again today. Can not get Deb off my mind. It has really done me in. I miss her so. Always looked forward to when she got on the blog. Not sure where I will be at 6:30, possibly on here.

Jo, I am so glad you did well with the MRI. Interesting, isn't it. We will all be anxiously awaiting the doctors report.

Mema Jo said...

Loretta - Where did you find Deb's last comment?

Lolly said...

Forgot to tell you. I was in my van, running errands in town, listening to the radio and thinking of Deb. A song came on the radio, do not know what it was, but it had the phrase "fly like and eagle." I was amazed!

Lolly said...

It was Tueday, around 9 pm.

stronghunter said...

Last comment was on Tuesday at nine-something in the evening, as I recall, Jo.

Mema Jo said...

Lolly - thanks for thinking of me. Yes, the waiting for results is the pits!

Glo I was so moved with your video for today of the Warriors Walk.
My daughter and family (SSG RYAN) walked it when Ryan buddy was put to rest after he succumbed to the burns he received over in Iraq. So brought tears of respect to my hear. Susan still keeps in touch with his wife and their twins!

Mema Jo said...

Thanks I'll go look for it now.

hedgie said...

Have been looking through Debs' photos....she was so good, and enjoyed her treks to find the next shot so much.....

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Right and it was to Margy. Just seems surreal, the whole thing.

glo said...

Yes MeMa Jo I remember. The Warriros Walk is something else that is very hard to put into words. I went there twice. Once for the big picture, and once to try to share the indivdual parts to the story each tree tells. I was very very moved as I walked slowly and took a closer look at many of those trees.

stronghunter said...

Have to post a Power Pt. on Blackboard for my class. A little more and I will be caught up, but much more to do.

Mema Jo said...

I found her...... I really can get those turtles moving around! lol

Mema Jo said...

Deb always showed concerned for others.
She always would reply to me whenever I would send a family pic of someone - even those she had never met. She always had kind words full of special feelings. Love that gal!
I was talking to her today while inside that darn tube! Really calmed me! Don't think I'll ever look at OUR nest and not think of her!

T-Bird said...

I will not be at the computer this evening but I will have the moment of silence and prayer. We will silently be helping each other. You are all loved!!

paula eagleholic said...

Glo - Loretta put that together...I just posted it on Momsters

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

I don't have what Paula fixed. How did I miss that?

Mema Jo said...

Talk to you all a little later...

glo said...

OK well then thanks to .Both of you. It is very very special indeed.

hedgie said...

It's almost that time. I can see Dianne and Pam, preparing the group for prayer. They look so much like Deb. The Palmer sisters are like three peas in a pod. And as Jo and Helen can verify, Dianne sounds just like Deb.

TO OUR DEB
You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord,
Who abide in His shadow for life,
Say to the Lord, "My Refuge,
My Rock in Whom I trust."

And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
The snare of the fowler will never capture you,
And famine will bring you no fear;
Under His Wings your refuge,
His faithfulness your shield.

And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
You need not fear the terror of the night,
Nor the arrow that flies by day,
Though thousands fall about you,
Near you it shall not come.

And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
For to His angels He's given a command,
To guard you in all of your ways,
Upon their hands they will bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.

And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.

Hi all,

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Well, I went to dinner at Jon's which was wonderful and then to a meeting in Princeton. At 7:30, I went outside and had my moment of silence to join with everyone. It was really spiritual. What a connection we have!

Hi, Everyone,

Thank you all for the wonderful thoughts, prayers, and poems for Deb. I was here for our moment of silence, then had to go have a bit of a cry. :o{ Isn't it something how we all are so connected, though so far apart in miles? Really felt close to you all tonight. I love you all dearly!

Soon after the moment of silence, Hubby's sis came over for a while on her way home from work. We had a nice family time. Then our son-in-law called, and we talked for quite a while. It was really special. Got to talk to GGD Sierra, too--just before she went to bed. GD Courtney wasn't home from Cheerleading practice yet, so we missed her; had talked to our daughter who called this morning. Courtney's dad promised to pass along a big hug & kiss. It's been a real family night, hasn't it? You guys are all part of my family, too, you know. As far as I'm concerned, distance is irrelevant. Love each and every one of you! Dare I say it again?
Think I will.
I came for the Eagles, but I stayed for the friendships I have made. (Truer words were never spoken!) Prayers being said for all of us tonight, and for Deb's family.
Oh--it just came to me--I bet there was a really happy reunion in Heaven when Deb's dog Sam came running to meet her, along with all of her family members that preceded her! Think I'll hold that thought. Good night, all, sweet dreams! Talk to you tomorrow. :o]
P.S.~~the porch light's on, and the eye scanner's enabled...

Searched and finally found Deb's slide show of the 08 Open House. Had never seen it. Loved the comments with the pictures.

I am feeling a little better. I do not think I have cried so much in so long. The tears have just been flowing.

I am going to call it a night. Have pretty (ha!) toes and fingernails.

Nite all! God bless!

Hi, Gang,

Thought I'd check back here. I just finished writing my Anatomy Project. Need to make a big poster tomorrow, and I'll be done.

Lolly, you and I are definitely on the same page. Keeping kleenex handy...Want you to know you've inspired me to paint my nails tomorrow!

Paula, tonight really helped me, too. Thanks again to everyone.

Jim, Amen to that, for sure!

I'm worn out--gotta hit the sack.
Good night, all. Love you guys!

I wish we had our live feed. They are so busy working on that nest. I am grateful for the still cam but there is just nothing like live. Wonder why we are having such a hard time with ours and others don't seem to? Anyone know?
