got to do the Asian Trail today and monthly meeting tonight..darn, so zoo day will be 1 till 9..long day for a volunteer job....:):), but has great perks..spending time with the animals:)
Great pics Megan - They gave you a good show! I was looking through the pictures of our EM of the Open House '08 and there are quite a few from Deb but very few of her.
Enjoy your long day, Mits! Holler at us when you get home.. Sky is getting dark here in the valley but no rain drops yet. No exciting plans for me today... Unless I can dream something up!
Mits...I am disappointed. I thought you were at the beach. Instead you are wishing. Sounds good to me!
Margy, went to that cam that you posted. It can lead you to many more cams. One is on a roof top in Switzerland. Great cam, no birds there and it does not say what the birds are. mmm????
was too tired when I got home from zoo last night to do laundry, so have to get my zoo shirt washed and dried before I leave, probably would not matter if it is a little damp...sometimes the animals like to be out in the rain...go figure??
Lolly hoping to get to the beach nest week, maybe...want to see the Christmas Festival of Lights..they light the tree next Thursday..but may hold off till sometime in December...
We feel like we had winter and fall has returned. We had cold rainly weather and now beautiful weather for the last couple of weeks. However, we had so much rain that it is still running out of our ground. Water still standing and it has been weeks.
However, possible rain Sunday and cooler weather returning.
Time to eat breakfast. Jo, had to laugh. You mentioned you like your breakfast late. So do I! Jack ate long ago and is heading out to eat lunch with friends.
Mits, you are "hoping to get to the beach NEST weekend"...woo hoo now there's an eagle wishin' slip of the typing fingers!!! I agree, I love the beach during storms as well. Such a difference in the sea! Lolly you are right, she describes such a beautiful scene! Gotta run out in the slop and pick up some meds for my Old Dog. BBL
Lolly when you come back on: probably storks on the rooftop in Switzerland, I haven't navigated through the site too much but it looks pretty dynamic, home came is in the Gulf Coast of Fla... Going to post it again...some might enjoy this:
Good afternoon, Eagle dudettes and dudes. Gloomy day, but no rain since dawn. Like Jo, leaves are covering--again! But only lightly, thank goodness! Agree with you about Criminal Minds, Mits and Jo....have not liked the last two at all. Hope they improve or will be off my list, for sure. Laundry is done---towels are in dryer and okay for them to stay there if I don't feel like folding! Just have to dust, and cleaning will be done. Vacuumed yesterday, scrubbed b/r this morning, so feel like I've accomplished something!
Did You Know.......... Just in time for the holidays, the National Zoo is proud to introduce seven new customized stamps celebrating and supporting our conservation programs. One stamp features Tai Shan! What better way to show your love of pandas than putting Tai Shan stamps on your holiday cards? Stamps are now available at Zoo stores and online.
Oh, Jim, it is delicious! Anything w/ PB and bacon suits me fine!! And I do them toasted, not toasted, grilled....all yummy. Today it was just on fresh, soft rye and it really hit the spot!
Making good headway on the tribute to Deb.....not fancy, but hope that Dianne and Pam will appreciate having a collection of our thoughts and feelings.
I was at work thinking. I know that can be dangerous but I stepped out on a limb. : ) I need some dog lovings, some train and a Friday. I can't leave out some company with my eagle buds.
Sharon's not here to feed the birds and I don't want them to starve to death. I'll be right back. The nest looks a lot calmer and drier than Bedford. It is cool and the wind is making it's presence known.
I'm dragging in late today--was up pretty late last night working on the 'famous Anatomy Project'. Slept in after Hubby went back to work, and have been yawning ever since!
Then did some housework, and the bug man showed up to spray around the doors & windows outside. So--here I am, finally!
Hope you guys all slept well last night! I did, but just not long enough...must catch up this weekend! Lynn, I LOVE PB&J+BACON sandwiches! Was reading back on the blog to catch up, thinking to myself that a PBJ&B would be good for lunch, and all of a sudden, there you were, mentioning one! Well, that does it--case closed! Guess I'd better go assemble one, 'cuz it's getting late for lunch here, and I also have a phone call or two to make plus an errand to run. Will come back in a while. Have a good afternoon/evening!
Hey! I'm checking in. Daughter and grandson, Max, are visiting and she uses my computer to do "homework." Can you believe she's in her 40s and just now finishing her degree? Of course, she went into the USMC right after hs graduation and retired just a few years ago. I had to wait until 62 to retire! Her oldest son, Jared, is in the Army Reserves and in college right now. We're hoping and praying he isn't taken out of school and sent abroad.
I missed the afternoon visit but hope to get to see the royal pair at the night visit if I'm able. I may just have to fight for the computer between 5 and 6.
I must oversee tonight's supper and I'll have to make extra since Teresa's brothers will be here too.
Paula Those pictures from this afternoon's earler visit are really great ! Especially the last one. Things are happening different these days, their action in the nest shows it.
Laid back afternoon! Got the pop ups off the one program and finally got in to pay a bill.
WOWSIE! Afternoon visit pics you captured Paula are AWESOME! I bet whatever was up in Belle's tree isn't there now or even thinking of coming back. She was downright angry!!!
PAUL...I have a picture that I would like to post on DEB PALMER'S ALBUM...with your permission. If you would, take a peek at it on WANDA'S WISHES. I have used your EAGLE LOVE AVATAR.
I've had trouble with the internet this evening too. I can also blame her for that because she knows how to fix those type of problems better than me. How does that sound? : )
Oh, phooey! I missed them!!! Hi, everyone! Aw, shucks--I was hoping to catch their late visit. Oh, well. I suppose schoolwork has to be more important during finals week. I'm just not sure why at the moment.... Gotta run to get a big piece of poster board to glue everything to for my project. Will BBIAW. Say, Diann, Max is a cutie! How old is he? Here's my GGD Sierra--bet those two could tear up the place running around in circles!
Thelma, I have been in the Freeze zone most of the day...which is how I missed the last Eagle visit. Andy and Diann... those toddlers are just great, a real cheerful presence on here.
When you get a chance look at Wanda's picture of Deb with Paula's avatar. Wonderful. Andy and Diann put Maggie and Molly in the group and we would be in big trouble.
Thanks, Margy! Good to 'see' you! How's your day going? I gotta run and get some poster board pretty soon. What color do you think, fluorescent green, or orange?
Orange....it is closest to Yellow my favorite color !
By the way, folks, you will see that Deb was wearing Yellow during the Open House activities in the photos....I have always associated that with her Sunny Disposition.... I liked the color yellow before, but I really like it now !
I got a late approval on a leave request at work, which is why I didn't disappear earlier. I can't get the days off that I really want, but I can get days off that are useful I went out looking for something Wild today but didn't have much success, tried to photograph a milkweed bug on an open pod but didn't do so good with it okay bye, tea is brewing
Wanda, love your composition! May I put it in the tribute I'm doing for the sisters? Well, Paula, you got some great captures! Belle obviously very riled about something. Glad she didn't break her neck the way she had her head reared back! Andy---go for GREEN!!!
Wanda there is another pic of Deb in the collage you made for the open house 2008. It is the photo in the lower right - Do you have that as a separate anywhere? It is the one of Deb, Suz and Lynn at the dinner table.
Wanda......LOVE what you did with the picture of Deb. I just have to say that Deb would be over whelmed and awed with the love that has poured out to her.
I leaving shortly for a meeting at church. Talk with you later.
Must say...seeing Lib and Belle this evening was healing...very healing. ☺
Later Jo. I believe I'm going to try to get lost in something...music, tv, something. I also have to figure out if I can also blame Sharon for me dropping my phone in the commode. Yeap, I dropped my phone in the commode. Barely got it out. I had to drain the water out to get it. It is foobared. It is what it is. I hope you all have a good night. See ya in the morning night.
Geeze, just figured out I usually fall asleep before finding it towards the back of the newer mags. Don't pay any attention to me, I was not expecting to be home tonight.
No problem Margy. Some of the things I do scare me. Was in Macy's yesterday. I used to be a Hecht's Told the lady I did not have a credit card for Hecht's. She said Macy's What ever. I seem to sign off earlier and earlier. Good night.
Evening Everybody!! Should we build an arc???? Ate a little nibble of something. Gotta go find something. Wanda, Great pictures!!I love the one of Deb in Paula's Eagle avatar. That's her best smile!!Wish I had on like that! Been trying to accomplish the impossible the amateur way. Copied the pic of Deb that Wanda put in album w/her turquiose shirt & I guess Gabby. Painted out Gabby, put Deb's pic on a colorful sundown pic & as you see, the borders of cropped pic show.I've been painting, trying to blend in the grass, trees, & sky around her. 3/4done. Photoshop does have an extracting tool, but does not explain how you get 2 pics up at same time & manual is written in Chinese, so I gave up. I understand what I'm doing even if it takes a couple days!So there!! If the phone fell in toilet around here, we could blame older cat! She goes after handheld phone-- it's on answering machine & she sure knows how to unravel TP!!
Jo, I think I found the photo you were speaking of...I put it on my blog. I deleted one of Deb's photos because I didn't like it and all of them disappeared!:( Found most of them and put them back on. Can't get into Momster's Albums to put Deb's Memorial photo on. Will try later.
Ceil.....Deb sat next to me at dinner on one side, and think you were on the other! Goodnight, early bird! Margy---LOL---I was going to tell you tht Word Power is near the back---glad you found it! T-bird: what is foobared??????
Loretta, know that you can accomplish what you are trying to---you are very good at that stuff, as is Wanda! LOL--instructions in Chinese! call your daughter, maybe she can grab a translator!
Lynn, at Swinging Bridge today, I could hear the railroad whistles from trains over in Allensville, or maybe even Cherry Run. Can you believe that, guess the sound travels along the water. Perfect it was.
I remember Hecht's all right. I still have some of my parents old shopping cards, from Garfinckels and The Willard. They weren't exactly like modern day credit cards, they resemble a ticker tape with holes punched in them. Same as their old driver's licenses. Sorry to ramble, I think I am going through the let down a little tonight.
Margy, that's really surprising that you could hear it back there! I can sure hear them here, expecially if cloudy, hazy, raining or snowing----but still haven't figured out if it's Cherry Run or North Mountain---SOUNDS like direction of North Mt. but think Cherry Run is closer.
Hedgie, foobared (I guess it is spelled right-after all it isn't a word that is in the dictionary) means done, finished or wiped out. It is a term lovingly learned from the Crisco family. Sharon and Beverly tell me if I'm wrong. Here is another word my Uncle Nick uses when he is done giving the dog treats. Fanito Benito He says it as he puts his hands up for the dogs to look at his hands and see they are empty. (good memories)
Again, I'm really leaving this time, good night all.
Margy, do you mean you went out Tuscarora Pike and up over the mountain that way? Oh, yeah, very Appalachian-isk up there!! Marshy area....on 7 before the school and BCVVFd??
Lynn, Re:Photoshop~~~I was gonna say it's Greek to me4, but we went there!! If daughter was home, she could probably help~~~she uses that program. Of course the graphic girls at work use it all day,but I've already started & I'm stubborn!!! Margy, you lucky duck---you got outside today??No monsoon??? Night Thelma!! Good pics, Wanda!!I didn't put my Deb pic in Open House album. Should I? Would be a duplicate
Okay, T-bird!! One of those made-uo family words! Neat. And I think everybody makes up fun words to use with dogs!!! Wonder who does own that area, Margy----that pond has one of those scum-scrubbers, too, if I remember correctly. Don't go that way anymore Jenn left elementary school as of last school year. Eagles at the Bow and Gun Club??? How neat it would be to see them there! May have to park nearby and start looking up! Bet the osprey at Sleepy Creek are the ones that guy took pictures of that he posted on CU.
good night everyone, got home after 9, good day at the zoo, and good meeting tonight...was held at the zoo commisary..been on tour before, but, it was nice to see behind the scenes again...keepers updates were good....when we were leaving heard one of the volunteers mention eagles....so jumped on him and said what eagles and where, he is a terrific photographer, and he said he was up at Conowingo Dam site last week and I said, did you see any, he said, sure did about 80....ROAD TRIP:)
Hi, Everyone, Will have to go to Craft Supply store early tomorrow to find a piece of poster board. Ones I found were either the wrong color (?) (white), or wrong size. Either there, or maybe Wal-Mart. Hope to stay awake to see 'Grey's' tonight, and maybe 'Private Practice'. Hubby and I watched a 2-hr. 'House' we recorded, not sure when, and it was fantastic! Love that show! Well, going to go watch some mindless TV until 9:00. Prayers said for everyone (glad Granny had a good day!); turning on the eye scanner. It appears the night light IS brighter--and Spidey must be lurking. Have a good night's sleep, and talk to you tomorrow! Love you guys! :o]
Sounds like the migration flock! That would leave me speechless! Funny that we were just talking about the Conowingo Dam area just a few days ago. Road trip for sure, Mits.

You could be in trouble Sharon - T-Bird was off feeding the dogs while the Eagles were visiting....uh, oh...
Diann!
That picture on your avatar is precious !
In from gathering pecans. Another 1 1/2 buckets. Jack has a lot of shelling to do!
Just missed the second visit of our royal pair. See that the night light is on and Spidey has left his calling card.
That is one handsome little fellow!
Paula
Those pictures from this afternoon's earler visit are really great ! Especially the last one. Things are happening different these days, their action in the nest shows it.

Andy and Diann... those toddlers are just great, a real cheerful presence on here.
xo ☺
When you get a chance look at Wanda's picture of Deb with Paula's avatar. Wonderful.
Andy and Diann put Maggie and Molly in the group and we would be in big trouble.
Absolutely, Wanda.
and no one needs to ask permission to put anything in that album!
Glad Lib and Belle visited before dark...didn't think they would!
Catch ya'll later tonight...heading out w/ a gf for wings and brewskies....bbl!!
LOL, don't forget to toss Cohen and Brensin in there too...
Later!
Thanks, Margy!
Good to 'see' you! How's your day going? I gotta run and get some poster board pretty soon. What color do you think, fluorescent green, or orange?
Beautiful, Wanda....
By the way, when James was looking at avatars the other morning, he saw your moniker "Costume Lady" and said immediately: That's Wanda ! ☺
So, Ceil, did you get what a call a Baldy Eagle Haircut? Which is a very short haircut, like I always had to get as a little kid !
LOL..That's for SURE, Ceil, and Paula, if you add yours, look OUT!!
;o}
Orange....it is closest to Yellow my favorite color !
By the way, folks, you will see that Deb was wearing Yellow during the Open House activities in the photos....I have always associated that with her Sunny Disposition....
I liked the color yellow before, but I really like it now !
And please remember, tomorrow is
RED FRIDAY -
Actually, wish we all were close enough in miles that we COULD get the "wild bunch" together for a play date! That would be FUN!
and I agree with Jo and the others....the night light is brighter...since last night
back later, quiet time here, if you can believe that coming from me
Hope everyone is doing okay or even better than okay, tonight ☺
Okay, Margy, I hope they have a big enough piece that color! Better scoot off to the store and see. BBL!
I got a late approval on a leave request at work, which is why I didn't disappear earlier.
I can't get the days off that I really want, but I can get days off that are useful
I went out looking for something Wild today but didn't have much success, tried to photograph a milkweed bug on an open pod but didn't do so good with it
okay bye, tea is brewing
Wanda, love your composition! May I put it in the tribute I'm doing for the sisters?
Well, Paula, you got some great captures! Belle obviously very riled about something. Glad she didn't break her neck the way she had her head reared back!
Andy---go for GREEN!!!
Margy the hair is short. Not short short but shorter than I am used to but I like it. Jim said you got it cut. Duh.
Someday I am going to look at the Seal avatar and it is going to have a BIG SMILE on it , Ceil ☺
okay now to get the teabag out of the cup
and read
Yellow is my favorite color too Magpie.
THANK YOU PAULA!
LYNN...you certainly may use the picture any way you wish.
Glad you all like it:)
Ceil - if Jim asked you that - not short enough! lol
Wanda there is another pic of Deb in the collage you made for the open house 2008. It is the photo in the lower right - Do you have that as a
separate anywhere? It is the one of Deb, Suz and Lynn at the dinner table.
TV shows for me at 8:00 and then 10:00.
I need to get somethings accomplished..
BBL
Wanda......LOVE what you did with the picture of Deb. I just have to say that Deb would be over whelmed and awed with the love that has poured out to her.
I leaving shortly for a meeting at church. Talk with you later.
Must say...seeing Lib and Belle this evening was healing...very healing. ☺
BBL
Oh, Margy....forgot! So sorry, but Fort Worth Mayor has declared that tomorrow is Go Purple...for the TCU Frogs. Woopee! #4
I forgot that Deb was at our table that night.
SHARON....Why did you put Thelma's phone down the loo?!!!!!!!!
Margy a lot of people around here wear purple on Friday's for the Ravens. I wear my red for the military.
Yes, I'm hooked on Red for Friday, Ceil....don't have any teams I am following....
except the Troops...
I got some pictures from Open House but it was way before my digital camera...got a few that I liked....
and dear Wanda scanned them and she and Jo got them in the album ♥
Lynn, Jo, Paula, Helen, Wanda, Loretta, Chrissy, and so many others here:
Grateful Thanks for all you are doing getting things put together for Deb...
I've had a real good time looking at those Open House and Romney Photos ♥
Speaking of Romney: I have not been brightened up by Norma's Greetings today yet....unless I totally missed something
Lolly
Purple AND Red is an okay combination, some would say they clash, but not me
back to some more words.
I miss the Vocabulary Quiz that used to be in Readers Digest...
Word Power it was, so I just picked an old mag off the shelf, need the challenge
Good night.
Ceil, go find Jim and be darn sure you are in the right house before you go to bed! lol
Geez...evening all
I have spent the past 7 hours trying to eliminate a trojan virus from my computer..how did it get there...only the shadow knows....
At the Jug Bay 10K last Sat., the shirt of the yaer was dark read! has white owl outline. Gonna wear it tomorrow.
Jo, I think I found the photo you were speaking of...I put it on my blog. I deleted one of Deb's photos because I didn't like it and all of them disappeared!:( Found most of them and put them back on. Can't get into Momster's Albums to put Deb's Memorial photo on. Will try later.
Oops, big goof on my part. Mandy Patinkin is on Three Rivers Sunday, NOT Grey's tonight!! Sorry.
LOL--instructions in Chinese! call your daughter, maybe she can grab a translator!
rubbery rascal was it, Megan...
good to have you back, hope problem is all over
at least I didn't send you anything lately and most of what I send is by snail mail
I like the idea of that red shirt with the white owl, Loretta, please, have someone take a picture !!
Wanda
You have done an outstanding job with the photos...I just made a visit to Wanda's Wishes ♥
Lynn,
at Swinging Bridge today, I could hear the railroad whistles from trains over in Allensville, or maybe even Cherry Run.
Okay, Margy---dumbie here....can't figure it out even with that hint!!! I'm SO innocent---ha, ha.
Margy, that's really surprising that you could hear it back there! I can sure hear them here, expecially if cloudy, hazy, raining or snowing----but still haven't figured out if it's Cherry Run or North Mountain---SOUNDS like direction of North Mt. but think Cherry Run is closer.
Well, let's try email Lynn ☺
Good to look at those pics again, Wanda.....SUZ was sitting next to me, and Deb next to her and Sissy!!!
T-Bird, I'm so sorry....I like your explanation, unfortunatly, I learned it in a different way.
I think I shall go execute my trash can!
I like Fanito Benito
Good Night, and you can come back !
okay all done, all those comment deleteds are mine.
disappearing for awhile...
xo
Margy, do you mean you went out Tuscarora Pike and up over the mountain that way? Oh, yeah, very Appalachian-isk up there!! Marshy area....on 7 before the school and BCVVFd??
Yes,Lynn, to all questions. Marsh area was fenced, says need written permission to enter, so I wrote down the number.
I saw some Mallards
Thanks Wanda - They are the pics I liked the most. She really had an enjoyable time at the Open House.
((hugs))
Hope Helen is home safely from the Zoo meeting and warming up.
Sissy, Sharon...
How is Mrs. Riffe today, and everyone else down that way ?
Margy - Sissy was on FB and reported that Granny Riffe had a very good day.
If Sissy or Sharon doesn't come on later I'll copy and past to you.
I am headed in for my 10 pm TV Show!
BBILW
Loretta, haven't gotten any rain today here---just gloomy and breezy.
Good night, fine fowl friends.
Prayers for all. Talk to you in the morning!
Night Lynn - won't be far behind you.
Okay Mema Jo - I watched Masterpiece Theatre. Pretty good...gripping...
Well, good night if you are headed that way.
Thanks for the information on Mrs. Riffe. I will never make it to Facebook for many years...
..and now a show on Grace Kelly.
Hmmm...bed, or TV
I tried to call DNR person today to ask about Eagles at Swinging Bridge, will ask him about any other birds then too when I do get in touch with him
Good Night Everyone, bed is going to win.
Red on Friday.
God Bless us, Every One xo ♥

Good Night All
Prayers for everyone's needs/wants

Stay warm and dry!
good night everyone, got home after 9, good day at the zoo, and good meeting tonight...was held at the zoo commisary..been on tour before, but, it was nice to see behind the scenes again...keepers updates were good....when we were leaving heard one of the volunteers mention eagles....so jumped on him and said what eagles and where, he is a terrific photographer, and he said he was up at Conowingo Dam site last week and I said, did you see any, he said, sure did about 80....ROAD TRIP:)
Conowingo Dam is north on I95..right before you go into Delaware.
Hi, Everyone,
Will have to go to Craft Supply store early tomorrow to find a piece of poster board.
Yep, Road Trip. Spring, maybe?
Really sleep tonight.
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL
Sounds like the migration flock!
That would leave me speechless!
Funny that we were just talking about the Conowingo Dam area just a few days ago. Road trip for sure, Mits.
Good Night again
Looks like I am getting on in time to tell everyone Good night.
Going to work on putting up a few pictures from the Open House when Deb and I were there.
Sooo....Nite all!
God Bless!
