GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDDIES!----WHOA!---There were several EAGER EAGLE WATCHER waiting for the new thread!!-----A wee bit CHILLY here in WILD & WONDERFUL WEST VIRGINIA!!LIFE IS GOOD!
Mits said... got this message from Cindi, this am.....and got her permission to post it......
Well It's over.....Miss Bean passed away in her spot next to me early this morning. Beanie is again able to run & jump ..... She loved running after the rabbits and barking at the deer, I know thats what she's doing right now. Beanie has that smile on, she's happy, she's a puppy again. I'm Ok.....tearful, sad and happy I'll miss her very much but I am greatful that God trusted me to watch over her for all these year. Thank you all for your love, support, careing, hugs & prayers.
Poor Cindi...know how much she is grieving. But so thankful that she was able to bring Miss Bean home so that she could pass in that loving environment. Cindi, I'm crying with you. God will take good care of your girl.
Cindi Morris, Norma. Don't remember where she lives. Yes, Miss Bean had gone into kidney failure, and she had brough her home form vet a couple of days ago....a terminal prognosis.
THANKS HEDGIE!---Hard to keep up--but before I lost my email--I exchanged messages most every with a CINDI--who lived in WV & works with the BLOOD DONER folks--thought it might be her---if so I'm so sorry--she is such a kind loving person!
Okay, here is Hedgies' Did You Know item for today.....a 68 y.o. woman in South Korea took the driving test almost daily since April 2005 before finally passing on her 950th attempt. She spent more than 5 million "won" ($4200) in application fees. Had to get a 60 out of 100 on exam.....she got exactly 60 this time. I would say....stay off the roads in S. Korea!!!
Norma, you are never an outsider!!! But you really do need to get the email situation straightened out!!!!! You miss a lot of good stuff! Are we going to have to make a field trip to Romney to get you up and running???
MORNIN' THELMA!---How often do you bake bread?---I love home made bread & I seem to be the only person on the blog that can't bake it!---Did your MOM teach you?
Good chilly sunny morning all! So sad about Miss Bean. I was afraid something was wrong when I didn't hear anything from her yesterday. Lynn, that's a great tidbit! Keep up the good work! Steve and I are heading down to the Eastern Shore (Kent Island) to a little place called Terrapin Park (on the bay) for some walking and fresh air and BIRDS!! Hope you all have a great day. And I sure hope JO shows up!
Yep, it was 4:49 or something close to that. TRAIN singing again........can see why Sharon is so hooked on them....do recognize the songs they have sung.
Mits, I think thats another hour further...we are going to do that one day but have to make arrangements for the old dog ahead of time. OR....we could pack up the dog and head for the BEACH!!!! (sorry Sharon, just kidding) LOL Hopefully I'll get some nice pics today!
yeah I'm missing the beach, Lynne...hubby will be traveling next week, but I have things to do here, so can't make it down yet...but what to get down for the Festival of Lights this year...missed it at the beach last year.
okie dokie...there it is.....I remember from last year they seem to keep the costumes on way past halloween....don't know why the animals don't tear up the pumpkins...unless they are fake.
Thanks for posting about Miss Bean and Cindi. Cindi is a long time eaglet_momster. Prayers for Cindi during this time ((((hugs Cindi)))). I send an email.
63 here, but the sun has not come out. :( Was going to mulch leaves, guess I still will but without the sun it just feels so much cooler.
So sorry about Miss Bean. Loving a pet means your heart will be broken. I worry about Laurel's dog. He is getting old and it will be Joseph's and Jacob's first real loss. However, right now Bosco still acts like a puppy.
Was afraid to get on the scales after last nights dinner. Still under the diet number. lol But, I better watch it today.
Not going to soccer games this weekend. NASCAR is at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend and it is betweet us and Denton. Do not want to get caught in that traffic. We have been lucky when we have had to make the drive. You would not believe the cars and RVs you see there. Last week when we went to Denton, RVs were already there.
Dover Del. is about 90 minutes north of me at the beach and we get the spillover traffic and guest at the beach, had a group come from upstate NY last May....drove 13 hours to stay in Ocean city to go to the race in Dover
OK, Jo is fine! She was late getting home last night. Enjoyed her crab cake dinner but felt a little queasy so went on to bed, and hasn't turned on puter yet this morning. She appreciates our concern!
Well, I am thinking of getting active. Will get Jack to blow leaves off the walks and drive, then I will ride my mower! Just wish the sun would come out!
Good Morning All! So sorry I caused concern but Thanks! Something came over me at dinner. Hubby kept saying Are you ok? You don't look good. We finished our meal and came on home around 7:30 and I hit the bed........ Feel ok today. Have no clue what it was...
I need to read comments but I did see that Miss Bean passed on. Caring thought for Cindi.
MORNIN' JO!!---I told them it was your ANNIVERSARY DINNER!!---and you folks just forgot to sign in--ho!---Glad you are feeling better-- It's a BEAUTIFUL DAY!!
I'm b-a-c-k.....stoopid mower won't start.......argh!!! Ran battery down trying...and, of course, where's Mr. Bill? HUNTING! Anyone have a good man hanging around? LOL.
Thanks, Mits..... Wood is another thing.....SIL's bro still hasn't come to work up and bring in what he took down in the spring. One of Bills' installers says he has a load for me, but hasn't borught it yet. SIL says he had a load for me......but his cousin stole it. My money is going to start going to people I don't know....maybe their service will be better.
Lynn we don't know this guy, except he has been coming for a long time here...we sometimes don't get wood for a couple of years....just don't need it that much, but I like a fire and am going to start doing more of them.
Finished the yard and the sun finally cam out. Up to 69 now. Can not mulch all the leaves as part of our back yard is still a swamp. The land slopes down to our house in back and it is still a yukky mess. Sigh!
Having an email problem. Going to have to call our server and get it solved. Sigh!
Lynn, just checked and I have received your mail, but can not forward it to Laurel. We can not send mail. Crazy! Thanks! I will forward it to her when we get the problem solved.
Wondering if Lynn's mower ever started.... There was a big article in Friday local rag about what to do with leaves Also, Megan - I see where Shepherdstown is looking for volunteers to help plant 3,000 daffodil bulbs along German Street on Novembmer 14 - I bet you already know about that ! ☺
Thank you Mits for passing along the sad news about Miss Bean, but am glad that she is a Puppy again frolicking with freedom on the Streets of Heaven. Prayers for Cindi
GeeGee wasn't feeling well and wanted to come home. Sooo, here we are! I didn't think she was up to a trip, so that is why we planned a short one. She did manage to get a few blouses to wear to church. So the trip was a little fruitful:)
Just now getting here--got up early this A.M. and hit the road running to get our usual Saturday shopping and chores done. Just now finished watering the patio plants. Guess what? I have a really pretty Caladium plant that has quite a story behind it! The poor thing died out more than a year ago, so I cut it back and brought the pot indoors, planning to clean it out and recycle it. But it got shoved behind a big bushy houseplant in front of the upright piano, and was totally forgotten. Never got a drop of water for a full year. Then, about 6 weeks ago, I suddenly found the neglected pot again, and there were some new shoots coming up out of the totally dry dirt! Imagine my surprise! I watered it, and put it out on the patio table in filtered shade, where it had been long ago. Now, after about 6 weeks, there's a whole new Caladium plant! Can hardly believe it!!! :o]
Okay So Long - I got several pictures, will post in the morning and not post doubles Welcome home Wanda and Gene and GeeGee Jo, sorry you didn't feel so good last night, one time I went to 2/20 in Winchester for all you can eat Seafood, after first course spent the rest of the night in the ladies room :(
Best wishes for a Good Evening, all. Let's see how many car thefts and car fires we have tonight !
BTW, I'm happy as a pig in mud--have been 'computerizing' in near total darkness for quite a while now in the evenings, because the lamp in the room where our computer desk is, is behind me on the other side of the room. It has to be there in order to plug into the right socket so that it will go on when you hit the light switch. Well, long story short, we found a nice goose-neck desk lamp at Wally World this morning, and it fits right above me on top of the bookshelf above the computer. I CAN SEE!!!! Not quite a Helen Keller moment, but close!LOL ;o]
We are home, at least till Monday morning. Still don't know when Granny's surgery will be. The pain meds have her so sedated, necessary but still worries us.
Just talked to Mary Ellen (Tom's sister) and she said that Granny woke up and ate a good supper. She has not had any pain meds since 9 a.m. and they said she wasn't having alot of pain. So that is a good thing. She is not one to complain about pain, so we have to watch that. She might be suffering and not say anything about it. But the meds sedate her so, hard to find a happy medium.
Well, see that I missed our eagles while I was stufifng my face. :( Margy, ain't no way to dispose of these leaves...............too kazillion many to bag, etc. Would cost a fortune, plus there is no way I could physically do it! Did NOT get mower going. Wanda, hope GeeGee recuperates fast! Shopping is hard work as far as I'm concerned! Andy, you have a miracle plant for sure!! Who would have thunk it?
Before I forget, Helen, can you forward a message to Cindi for me? Dear Cindi, I'm REALLY sorry about Miss Bean; have been there myself way too many times, too. ((Giant Hugs)) Prayers for Cindi's aching heart. Am sure that Miss Bean was extremely happy to be able to come home and be with Cindi before she passed on over the Rainbow Bridge. God bless! Love, Andy xoxo
Well, gotta (yes, believe it or not!) get to work on my Anatomy Project that's due on Friday. Will be back in a little while; just gotta do some internet research. Hope you all have a good evening! BBL....
She is 87 years old. It is only 1-1/2 to 2 hours away from here, so that is not too terribly bad. I am trying to get situated so I can work from down there this coming week. Surgery will be Monday or Tuesday and everyone has to work all week.
Just watched the ISS go overhead. I am sure the neighbors think we are nuts out here looking all over the sky! Earlier today I was out here looking up in a tree at 2 lovely ewwies sitting side by side in a tree.
Breeze was bit too stiff to do anything w/ the blower today...did the deck and it was covered again in an hour. Did move some more wood...all that's left on palletts out in the open needs to be split. Arse next door is burning now....huge gas explosion was SO bad that it caused all sensor lights to come on....am worried about sparks in the woods. I am so frustrated right now that I am ready for a good cry......and a G&T.
Lynn...go on and have your G&T, I may help:) Gave one to GeeGee last evening to help settle her stomach, which it did, and she said the everyone should have a G&T in their homes because it works so well;) Tee Hee
Lynn, I was watching Train this morning. I don't miss much with them! :) Even got another Twitter from Pat today. Wedding date is now set at 12/2 at the Fillmore Charlotte.
On a serious note, Pat is still struggling with his voice. He must have had a horrible bout with whatever he had. I hope he doesn't screw his voice up for good! Been trying to give you all a little break from Train!
I had a very lazy laid=back afternoon mainly trying to figure out what was going on with me last evening. I think I'll get to the Dr before my scheduled Wed appointment.
Glad Gee Gee got some new blouses and also the you and Gene came on back when she requested to go home.
Sissy you are something else - taking care of so many! You must have a very strong guardian angel over your shoulder!
Okay, Wanda, think I will!! Shirley, no rush on pics if you are busy! We'll be here! Shar, know that you're the expert on Pat and it's always more background sound to me so I don't pay real close attention....but if he sounds better normally than he did today...well, whew!!! Choo-choo!
Wahoooooo!!!!! TCU and Tech both won their games. Ok, here is what I am hoping. I want TCU and Tech to play each other in a bowl game. What a riot. We would go and have a blast!! Keep your fingers crossed for us. Unlikely but possible.
Scanned the blog quickly.
Wanda, hope Gee Gee is okay and feeling better fast. Had to laugh at your exaggeration. We plant around 300 bulbs each year. It only feels like we are planting 9,000! LOL
Shirley, scanned through that site rather quickly, but sounds like a great place to go to see Bald Eagles. Lolly and Jack would certainly head that way. lol

Jo still has not been on? It is getting late!
That's what I was wondering yesterday, Mits. Will call Jo when I get off phone.
Deb, has not been getting on much lately. Miss her!

Trying to figure out what bird is on Maine cam.
OK, Jo is fine! She was late getting home last night. Enjoyed her crab cake dinner but felt a little queasy so went on to bed, and hasn't turned on puter yet this morning. She appreciates our concern!
Don't have a phone number for Deb....anyone??
thanks, Lynn
the bird is hiding behind the branch:)..could be a juvie???
I was thinking it might be a juvie. When it went from the nest to the branch you could see it better. Very mottled feathers.
or might be the resident Raven
if he would just move a little farther to the right
ocean looks nice and calm today
When it was in the nest I was thinking Raven, but it is too mottled to be a raven, right? A raven is black.
must be a juvie...Raven would be chattering
correct, Lolly...I think it is a juvie too.
Well, I am thinking of getting active. Will get Jack to blow leaves off the walks and drive, then I will ride my mower! Just wish the sun would come out!
Have a great day!

Is it greens cutting time yet?
Only got 1 photo, Jo. Making mac & cheese and had to run to tend to that!
Hey, Jo...heard you got a little overwhelmed with your Ed last night. Anniversaries do me that way too;)

I love Caladiums, Andrea and so does Lolly. I think she and Jack plant about 10,000 bulbs:) I'm just now bringing my bulbs in for the Winter.
I am exaggerating about Lolly's bulbs,probably closer to 9,000;)
Okay So Long -
I got several pictures, will post in the morning and not post doubles
Welcome home Wanda and Gene and GeeGee
Jo, sorry you didn't feel so good last night, one time I went to 2/20 in Winchester for all you can eat Seafood, after first course spent the rest of the night in the ladies room :(
Best wishes for a Good Evening, all.
Let's see how many car thefts and car fires we have tonight !
xoxo ☺ ♥
BTW, I'm happy as a pig in mud--have been 'computerizing' in near total darkness for quite a while now in the evenings, because the lamp in the room where our computer desk is, is behind me on the other side of the room. It has to be there in order to plug into the right socket so that it will go on when you hit the light switch. Well, long story short, we found a nice goose-neck desk lamp at Wally World this morning, and it fits right above me on top of the bookshelf above the computer. I CAN SEE!!!! Not quite a Helen Keller moment, but close!LOL ;o]
Hi, just walked in the door and Fubby saw show with sea eagles on Animal Planet right now!!!!!!About hunting birds, mostly near water!!!!
BBL
Nite, Margy...hope your Saturday evening is interesting:)
Margy, ain't no way to dispose of these leaves...............too kazillion many to bag, etc.
Dear Cindi,
I'm REALLY sorry about Miss Bean; have been there myself way too many times, too. ((Giant Hugs)) Prayers for Cindi's aching heart. Am sure that Miss Bean was extremely happy to be able to come home and be with Cindi before she passed on over the Rainbow Bridge.
God bless!
Love, Andy xoxo
Thanks, Helen!
Well, gotta (yes, believe it or not!) get to work on my Anatomy Project that's due on Friday. Will be back in a little while; just gotta do some internet research. Hope you all have a good evening! BBL....
Sissy, glad you are getitng a respite. How far is Bristol from Bluefield? And how old is Granny?
I was wondering if you'd be able to connect in order to work, Sis. Hope that works out for you. You're a good daughter-in-law.
So sad about Miss Bean but loved what Cindi said about trusting her to watch over her.
Sharon, did you see my posts this morning about TRAIN????
Lynn...go on and have your G&T, I may help:) Gave one to GeeGee last evening to help settle her stomach, which it did, and she said the everyone should have a G&T in their homes because it works so well;) Tee Hee
Well, sorry your road trip was cut short, Wanda. Hope GeeGee is feeling better.
Jo, we will start cutting greens next Sunday.
Many deer at ESPN cam
I had a very lazy laid=back afternoon mainly trying to figure out what was going on with me last evening. I think I'll get to the Dr before my scheduled Wed appointment.
Glad Gee Gee got some new blouses and also the you and Gene came on back when she requested to go home.
Sissy you are something else - taking care of so many! You must have a very strong guardian angel over your shoulder!
Megan are you at market with your wreaths the Fri after Thanksgiving?
Hi Shirley I hope you are enjoying your weekend!
PIX PA woods is having their Sat Night Raccoon Feast
I am, Jo. Want to get to the pictures this weekend.
Buck with it looks like 6 points at ESPN
The bucks sure demand their space...
All the younger ones race away or are chased always from the feeders when they come....
They are standing back for him for sure.
The spot light just went on I don't know where it comes from or what purpose it serves.
Hey Jo, I'll be in Shepherdstown Sat. and Sun. after Thanksgiving.
Shirley - do you ever scroll to the buttom of ESPN and read their blog?
It's interesting -
I just finished reading it, Jo. I did not even know about this site until a couple of days ago when you all were talking about it and I Googled.
LOL
I might take awhile to do much. I still have assignments from the photography class.
I was wondering about the 9,000 bulbs, Lolly. I think you would have a backache if you planted that many bulbs.
Hartford Bird Club
Got this link from my digital images teacher. I think this is where she was planning to go last weekend, but didn't because of rain.
You all are probably very familiar with it.
Shirley, scanned through that site rather quickly, but sounds like a great place to go to see Bald Eagles. Lolly and Jack would certainly head that way. lol
Sorry - got a phone call & left without saying. Don't want another Silver Alert put out!
That sight Shirley is new to me. WOW lots of information on it.
I am going to watch a rerun of Bones.
BBILW
This last year we traveled to central Texas to view eagles and their nest. Then we went to Okalahom to see that nest. More fun!
Typo! Oklahoma!
She had said she was going there for an eagle migration.
