I was BRIGHT! Never seen it so bright. I almost missed it because it was heading from NW to SE and NW sky was really cloudy. Couldn't see SE from yard, but gave up and went up to my room and lo and behold right out of the SOUTH window there it was! The sky was really clear out that way!
thanks Lynne, looks like the iridium one, I think they use these for cell phone communications, (probably among other things). I have been seeing them for years and did not know what they were for awhile. One time I saw a perfect triangle of fairly bright objects sailing across the night sky like ISS does, mentioned it to an astronomy teacher, she kind of shushed me up, made me think it was something top secret, and it might have been !
Megan will be at all Sat & Sun markets until Christmas. Today was until 3:00 but tomorrow I think is the 10 - 1. Google Shepherdstown and Farmers Market for the schedule.
jsut about any clear sky night you can usually find a couple moving in the sky, as I said, they halt and go and change course a little, like a DUI driver
Lynne: I showed my "heart leaves" to my niece and the first thing she asked me is if they are from Redbud trees. ☺ Great minds, huh? I will have to ID the tree but it is not Redbud :(
Margy, we are meeting Jo at the Roc Shell station, near the Cemetery Rd. If you would like to meet there, also, we can go in as a group. Will be about 6:45pm
Hmmmm.... hot hands...or moonshine...tough choice. Hello all:) Long day here, finally quitting time. Very nice to see Jo and Jenifer today:) Jo, thanks again for the sandwich, it was really delicious.
MOONSHINE? oh Lord help me! Last time I drank Moonshine was MANY years ago at an Oriole game. A group from the small local bar got a bus trip together. "someone" not sure who decided to treat us to a cooler of Moonshine with grapejuice and he called it a "Purple Jesus". Well, after drinking that you needed Jesus! Those were my wild and crazy days of youth....long gone. The last alcohol of any kind I drank was a sip of champagne last New Year's eve!
Margy, great minds do think alike! But you are right, they can't be redbuds because here all the redbud trees are naked. I'm sure they probably are there as well.
Night everyone! Been watching TV. I would love to see anoter blue meteor!! Or any color! Our area doesn't get very dark~~~people bring their telescopes down to the Pax Park at night when s0omething neat is about to occur, where we have the big fields. Very dark down there.
If I konk out in front of TV, Pleasant Feather Dreams to all ;>)
Don't know where our OTHER Lynn is, but she may want to join us at the Roc Shell Station at 6:45pm. Anyone else who can make it would be greatly appreciated by Dana. She seems to need her Blog Family now!
I don't know Wanda....I think He does guide us, but some don't follow. Some of the people I knew "back in the day" really went down some very dark paths. I'm sure glad I saw the LIGHT!
Lynne, unfortunately I didn't mean EVERYONE...I was speaking of those on this blog. I believe we are all believers and the Lord put us all together for a reason. For instance, giving Dana our love and support. We have had many other examples of why we have all been guided to this blog. Nite, once again:)
Just found out that a good friend and nurse from my hospital days passed away yesterday. He had gone blind a number of years ago from diabetes. Bill bowled with him back in better times.
See you all tomorrow at Roc's I have your cell, Wanda if I need to call. BTW - Dana has the family flowers on the casket to be the colors of the Steelers! Ed may even be in his Steelers jersey! That says it all for that pair! ((hugs))
Lynn, I am sorry for the sad news you received. I'll be thinking of you.
G'nite everyone and pleasant dreams. Prayers for everyone's needs and wants and especially for Dana. Those of us who cannot be there in person will be there in spirit. ((((Hugs)))))
Well, Good (VERY late) Evening, Everyone! Is anyone else still awake? I'm getting here quite late--sorry about that! Haven't really caught up on the blog yet; just read a bit of it, but Lynn, see that you have lost a friend. SO sorry! (((HUGS))) for you! My thoughts and prayers are with you! Gosh, we've lost way too many here lately! If you go to Ed's viewing, would you please give Dana a big hug from me? Sure do wish I could be back there. Love all of you so much, but am SO far away! FEEL really close to all of you, though. Hard to explain what good friends we have become!
Judie, Wow! That's pretty cool that you got to shake the President's hand. I remember that in 1992 Hubby was at Children's Hospital L.A. with our youngest daughter, who was being treated there at the time, and Hillary Clinton was visiting there that day. They both got to meet and talk with her. I was still working then, and had to work that day. But was really glad they got to meet her. Had no idea at the time where Hillary Clinton would be now!
Forgot to mention that Hubby and I went to 2 movies! We saw 'Old Dogs' with John Travolta and Robin Williams, and the 'New Moon' movie. Will give a review of each later today. Too tired to make much sense right now. Better head for the bed--we've gotta go take care of the bulldogs early in the morning! Oh--had to laugh about the bassets and the pecan pies! Our daughter has two of them (Bassets, that is!), and they ARE notorious counter surfers! You wouldn't believe what they can manage to reach! Their legs are short, but their bodies are long, and they are amazingly agile! I'm really glad that they haven't shown any ill effects from the pies! Oh, what a disaster that could have been! Well, as I said before, it's quite late, and I'd better try to get some sleep. Prayers for everyone being said, especially Dana and Lynn. The night light is on, the porch light's ready to go, and the eye scanner's been enabled. Sleep snug and cozy, and I'll talk to you tomorrow. Love all of you guys! :o]
Good morning! Getting ready to settle in and work on final project for photo class. Started last night, but need to get it finished. It is a frosty morning here. We have been visited by many red wing blackbirds the past few days. I suppose they are migrating. They do like my feeder. Will need more food today.
Just checked, and it doesn't seem that they are migrating. It says that they gather in huge flocks in the winter. I had been wondering why they don't have as large a wing patch as I'm used to. They are the immature males.
I have not been able to find a way to post an on-line condolence on the website for Ed....(can't find the listing) -not sure why, if anyone needs a mailing address, you can email me through E-M and I will get that to you... and if anyone has been able to do that, please let us know how you did it, thanks.
Good Sunday Morning All ! Sure hope new thread comes soon so we don't get confused by numbers - As long as this publishes I am not going to worry about it. Just hope everyone finds the current page. Morning is busy for me - will pop back in later.
GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDDIES!!---WHOA!---OUR blog gets longer & longer every weekend!---makes following one's conversation a wee bit hard!----MORNIN' MARGY!--Thanks for bringing such JOY to our blog!!---Give my LOVE to DANA!
A sunny GOOD MORNIN' JO & PAULA!--I understand DANA'S frustrations with the planning earlier!---I have been there--it makes everything so much harder---GOD BLESS DANA!
OK, gang, have 735 posts on top of one page!!?? Counter is bonkers~~~only 513. Cool, sunny day, blue cam! Not the sky, I guess ☺. Lynn, so sorry to hear about your friend. I also went to post a condolence, no catagory. The paper must be wrong. Those of you visiting tonight, PLEASE give Dana (((HUGS))) from us. We sat next to them a year ago at Open House dinner. So sad.. Leaving in awhile for a Jaycee remembrance of hubby's brother, Perry. I'm told they put ornament w/his name on Xmas tree.
Good afternoon all! Sunny and relatively warm---up to 55! Funeral home obviously behind on posting their obits online.......bummer. Loretta, nice tribute for your BIL. Had to work really hard to balance check book......found error way back in Oct.! Check that hasn't been cashed yet!!!

And here's Mema
tomato juice is good except when it spills all over the counter, don't have a dog to blame it on, just an old lady :(
lol It is called nimble fingers!
Oh MARGY....I saw the ISS yesterday evening!
THIS BLOG HAS HAD IT..........
Oh Lynne...great news...!
We are in a no-see stage for several days now
My comments keep going back to the previous page...... Well not my comments but when I Make a comment it throws me back a page......
Mine to JO.....strange goings on.
A dreamsicle smoothie, as I recall is very delicious. Don't remember what all was in it, but was spiked with something.
Also found all kinds of recipes for children's versions--under "creamsicle."
Yep - you would think this would have happened during Hallowe'en and not Thanksgiving !
I guess I might should mention this to Steve too
Koo-Kee !
The Dreamcycle Smoothie isn't spiked Now the Dreamcycle drink is spiked.
They both taste like the vanilla ice cream with orange covering Popsicle.
Ugh! Racoons are at the carcass site! Bleahhh!
How spectacular was ISS Lynne?
Was about the brightest designation it has had yet...
-3.9
the bigger the negative number, the brighter the object ....
Jo - do you know what time Market starts Sunday and if Megan will be there?
Please and thanks
Alcoa is on daylight again and there is a falcon at the box
I was BRIGHT! Never seen it so bright. I almost missed it because it was heading from NW to SE and NW sky was really cloudy. Couldn't see SE from yard, but gave up and went up to my room and lo and behold right out of the SOUTH window there it was! The sky was really clear out that way!
we have another flyover here tomorrow at 6:46
in the am?...that is going to be pretty dim, note the absence of a negative number...
but it does say "visible"
have you seen the iridium satellites before Lynne?
They are hard to spot, and seem DUI sometimes...
Thanks, Lynne...I'll check your photos out!
Good night. See you tomorrow.
PM, Margy, sorry. No I have never seen OR heard of Iridium satellites!
what's your zip code Lynne?
Thanks
Good Night Shirley ☺ ♥

Nite, Shirley:)
It's very comfortable Wanda. Plenty of parking, some picnic tables, restroom, all right along the river.
Hey, the leaves are off the trees now, maybe I can see some action up in the sky now!
thanks Lynne, looks like the iridium one, I think they use these for cell phone communications, (probably among other things).
I have been seeing them for years and did not know what they were for awhile. One time I saw a perfect triangle of fairly bright objects sailing across the night sky like ISS does, mentioned it to an astronomy teacher, she kind of shushed me up, made me think it was something top secret, and it might have been !
4 o'clock in the morning, maybe they thought no one would notice, but I was out watching for meteors!
Megan will be at all Sat & Sun markets until Christmas. Today was until 3:00 but tomorrow I think is the 10 - 1.
Google Shepherdstown and Farmers Market for the schedule.
Yes Wanda - the Eagle Express will fit right in to the park! lol
lol Lynne just read back what you said about ISS -
you said "I was BRIGHT"
well, you are !
Thanks Mema, and Wanda, yes you will !
wow, that sure would make me nervous if I saw something like that and was shushed about it!
That's going to be AM according to what I punched in Lynne...
Sounds great, Lynne. Someone said we should try for a visit in January. It will probably be VERY cold, but we can dress like RALPHIE!:)
Wow, sounds like a lot of excitement today! How about those Bassets and Obama!
Yeah, I thought it was pretty curious when she heard that I had seen it...
I was bright...oh good grief! I must be getting tired!
I am still looking thru pictures...
Wanda, large parking area...small road to get to it, but I'm sure Gene could navigate it.
jsut about any clear sky night you can usually find a couple moving in the sky, as I said, they halt and go and change course a little, like a DUI driver
my dog is sound alseep and her tail is wagging! Wonder what she is dreaming about!
I have a zillion neck scarves and lots of gloves, am short on hats Wanda...
I have had the absolute unbelievable experience of seeing the Auroras here...twice!
We can warm up in the Eagle Express and drink hot coffee, tea or hot chocolate, maybe even sip som moonshine:)
Lynne:
I showed my "heart leaves" to my niece and the first thing she asked me is if they are from Redbud trees. ☺
Great minds, huh?
I will have to ID the tree but it is not Redbud :(
One night that the cloud cover was too thick, I think ISS was supposed to be -4.5, wasn't it, Margy???
Yes, and we can carry those little hot hands things....Megan knows all about those, she sent me a website for it last year, Wanda.
I'll get some grapes we can soak them !
Would they be Bartlett Pears, Margy?
Absolutely Wanda !
I have been yacking almost non stop for the last 30 minutes, figured I better change back to Magpie...
Going to hit the sack, try to get an early start on some home projects Sunday and try to get to market...early....
Good Night Precious Pals
God Bless Us, Every One
xoxo ☺ ♥
Margy, we are meeting Jo at the Roc Shell station, near the Cemetery Rd. If you would like to meet there, also, we can go in as a group. Will be about 6:45pm

Hello all:)
Long day here, finally quitting time. Very nice to see Jo and Jenifer today:) Jo, thanks again for the sandwich, it was really delicious.
oops see that question Hedgie...could have been...not THAT would have been WAY BRIGHT !

this is my last pulling a Margy post....xoxo
will someone going to Ed's memorial tomorrow please give Dana a hug from me?
WHAT? LYNNE...you were WILD AND CRAZY? Don't believe that!;)

Yeah, Wanda...just a little every now and then. Never got into trouble, though! I'm glad that the good Lord put me on a better path!
Nite, Lowreeda:)
The Geminids (is that right?) are due in Dec, Loretta, and maybe you can plan to go to a dark place if it's clear and you could see another one!
I think the Lord has guided all of us right in the direction that he wanted for us:) We couldn't manage without HIM.
OK, at least have the pics picked out...
Good Girl, Paula.
I don't know Wanda....I think He does guide us, but some don't follow. Some of the people I knew "back in the day" really went down some very dark paths. I'm sure glad I saw the LIGHT!
I think I'm turning in early for a change. Need some extra sleep...getting wrinkles;) Tee Hee
Yes, can someone give Dana a big hug from me, too?
Forgot to say:
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL
PRAYERS FOR DANA, FOR STRENGTH TO GET THROUGH TOMORROW NIGHT.
SURE WILL, PAULA.
I'm going to hit the rack too. Sweet dreams and prayers for all!
Lynne, unfortunately I didn't mean EVERYONE...I was speaking of those on this blog. I believe we are all believers and the Lord put us all together for a reason. For instance, giving Dana our love and support. We have had many other examples of why we have all been guided to this blog.

Amen Wanda!
Good night!
Wanda, I'll meet you at Rocs, too.
Just found out that a good friend and nurse from my hospital days passed away yesterday. He had gone blind a number of years ago from diabetes. Bill bowled with him back in better times.
Sorry for your sad news, Lynn.
Okie, Dokie, Lynn.
I feel like Margy now, coming and going.
Good Night for sure:)
Thank you, Wanda.
Calling it a night, see ya'll in the morning.
Hugs to all ♥
See you all tomorrow at Roc's

Well, we do not have 717 comments. I panicked a little when I saw that.
We are only at #482.
There has got to be some kind of gremlin on here somewhere.
Hope this is a good, joyful, and safe day for everyone
xo ☺ ♥
I just opened up again, and where it had said 717- honest - now says 482 comments. Too weird
now when I closed out and started again, when I click on comments, the thread page says 483 but when I click on comments it says 737!
