Last night at Goodwill, James scarfed up Beanie Baby Bears, one named "Patriot" one named "Spangle" and he "bought" one for me named "Glory." All are in patrotic colors stars stripes and all that jazz ☺
Margy prayers for your sister. When my son lived in Boston he had to have emergency surgery for appendicitis. He was all alone. The doctor called me after the surgery to tell me all went well. MM and I left to go as soon as I heard.
Prayers for Reese and Margy's sister and any one else needed them. Pleasant dreams.
Thanks Ceil...scary, and sudden it happens. I have one sister, Mary, from Roanoke, who is at the ready to fly to Hartford and rent a car to where she is if needed. Mary was also one who was a very big player in the final months and weeks during my sister's life two years ago. She is retired, and Blessed! Good name for her, Mary...

Margy, definitely praying for your sister. Any kind of illness is a scary thing but the power of prayer on this blog is unbelievable. Still blows my mind! Saved my life more than once for sure, literally!

Woke up really early because the light was still on and shining on my eyes and there was this awful TRAIN noise just outside the door!
Margie, prayers for your sister. Hope the doctors decide to take care of things asap. Not even ice chips seems really extreme.
Lynn, I plan to take 495 to 270 split then exit 32 (I-70)then exit 52 (US 340) then Right onto WV-230/Shepherdstown Pike then Left onto Shepherdstown Pike/WV230. Just hope the exits are marked clearly. Don't want winding back roads I'm not familiar with. Aggressive drivers? Never seen anything but on the beltway, 66, or anywhere else in this area. Saw a woman on 66 yesterday, ~60mph, reading material in right hand which was resting on the steering wheel and cell phone at left ear. Stupid scary!

NASA bulldozed two spacecraft into the lunar south pole Friday morning in a search for hidden ice. Instruments confirm that a large empty rocket hull barreled into the moon at 7:31 a.m., followed four minutes later by a probe with cameras taking pictures of the first crash.
But the big live public splash NASA had hoped for didn't quite happen. Screens got fuzz and no immediate pictures of the crash or the six-mile plume of lunar dust that the mission was all about.
NASA officials said their instruments were working, but the planned live photos were missing.
Nearly half an hour after the crash, NASA was promising pictures updated to its Web site. But so far all NASA had was "images on the way in," said NASA spokesman Grey Hautaluoma.
People who got up before dawn to look for the crash at Los Angeles' Griffith Observatory threw confused looks at each other instead.
Telescope demonstrator Jim Mahon called the celestial show "anticlimactic."
I agree with that, Megan - I think they are kinda wondering if they flew into a dust bowl instead of a water hole....it was very anti-climactic! :(

I just had a phone call from a gentleman who is to be performing at a Bachlorette Party. He is suppose to wear a ladies costume which is VERY REVEALING and sheer in the private areas! He wanted to know how old I was and if I would look at him in his costume and give my opinion. I told him I would, only if he kept his underwear on.
Wait til he comes to the shop and finds Gene sitting there...I'm not available this morning...GG appt.

Just remembered...during conversation last evening about SAT's---don't know what the scoring is now, but way back when...a perfect score was 1600. My ex scored 1599---missed one math question because he misplaced a decimal point! And that from guy who took Alg.2, Trig and Calc all his sophomore year---and was excused from attending class except for tests! Math genius, I think they called it!
I FINALLY got some pics of Myrtle! Saw her crawling under the pallett and rushed out with some tomato and set it out far enough that she had to come all the way out...and she didn't waste anytime chowing down! Will post on my blog when I bring up the other computer.
