There is an expression, "the fruit does not fall far from the tree." Last night at Goodwill, James scarfed up Beanie Baby Bears, one named "Patriot" one named "Spangle" and he "bought" one for me named "Glory." All are in patrotic colors stars stripes and all that jazz ☺
Margy prayers for your sister. When my son lived in Boston he had to have emergency surgery for appendicitis. He was all alone. The doctor called me after the surgery to tell me all went well. MM and I left to go as soon as I heard. Prayers for Reese and Margy's sister and any one else needed them. Pleasant dreams.
Thanks Ceil...scary, and sudden it happens. I have one sister, Mary, from Roanoke, who is at the ready to fly to Hartford and rent a car to where she is if needed. Mary was also one who was a very big player in the final months and weeks during my sister's life two years ago. She is retired, and Blessed! Good name for her, Mary... xoxo
Margy, definitely praying for your sister. Any kind of illness is a scary thing but the power of prayer on this blog is unbelievable. Still blows my mind! Saved my life more than once for sure, literally!
little rodent is scampering across the field at Pix from time to time, so funny also I think the white masked stripeless tail raccoon is on the field now too
Goodnight, sweet friends. Many prayers for many folks. See you in the morning. Since Margy hasn't said it yet, I will remind you to wear RED tomorrow for all of our military personnel, past and present!
Missed a lot of happenings on here today...no time to read back very far. Do want to tell MARGY that my prayers are with her and her sister, so tough to see a loved one sufferomg
First time on the blog for ever such a long time,,, I'm up at the crack of dawn here in the UK,, got a mirriad of things to do today,, so I though I'd pop in before I start and just say HELLO and I've missed everyone of you HUGS !!!
Margaret pet,,I'm so very sorry to hear about your sister,, I'm sure things will be fine pet,, God is good,,,,sending my prayers,,,
I also send prayers to all who are under the weather and feeling low,, as has been said many times here,, our prayers have brought many of us so much comfort,, it's just wonderful to know that your all just at the ends of our finger tips,,,,
It's very cold here and dull and it really doesn't make you feel like doing much,,
Frank has just come home off night shift,, I've made him a bacon buttie for his breakfast,, sent him to bed with a hot water bottle,,
Beauty has been out putting the World to rites, telling all that who will listen that she is on duty for the new day,,,
Matt has gone into the kitchen and is making coffee, I hope enough to last the morning,,,,
AND,, there is Mont Blanc waiting for me to iron once again,,,,,
I hope you all have the most wonderful day,, thinking of you,,
Woke up really early because the light was still on and shining on my eyes and there was this awful TRAIN noise just outside the door!
Margie, prayers for your sister. Hope the doctors decide to take care of things asap. Not even ice chips seems really extreme.
Lynn, I plan to take 495 to 270 split then exit 32 (I-70)then exit 52 (US 340) then Right onto WV-230/Shepherdstown Pike then Left onto Shepherdstown Pike/WV230. Just hope the exits are marked clearly. Don't want winding back roads I'm not familiar with. Aggressive drivers? Never seen anything but on the beltway, 66, or anywhere else in this area. Saw a woman on 66 yesterday, ~60mph, reading material in right hand which was resting on the steering wheel and cell phone at left ear. Stupid scary!
Happy birthday, Norma. Please enjoy the day in any way that makes you feel good.
Have much grading to do today. Critical Thinking responses about what evidence they would use to link several crimes to the same serial killer. Should be enlightening!
I'm, playing hookey,, i should be doing the ironing right now,,, but I thought I'd look in and have a look at all the webcams,, so i thought I'd pop over and say goodmorning again,,,My oh My your all early risers,, I've had a few gallons of coffee so I'm rather hyper now, must invest in decaf from now on I think !!! I've sent out the new updates of where Rothes and Mallachie are with photo's,, so that's today's job done,,,,
I'm with you Megan pet,,, when else can you have a lie in if not on your birthday,,,
Well, the LCross and trajectory made their impact, sure was not a very good view of what happened here, guess it will look better later. Thanks again Megan... this was interesting.

MARGY---Do you not open your cards as SOON AS THEY ARRIVE???----ho!--- This being my '49th' BIRTHDAY is is SPECIAL!!!----(one should not LIE on one's birthday)!---ho!
I meant to write on their Open on Oct 9 - Ho! I try to wait to open cards but usually cannot! You are our Fountain of Youth Norma...bottle it up and bring some to Open House ☺
Good morning, Norma and everyone! Happy Birthday again, Norma---scroll back to MIDNIGHT!!!! You even brought Chrissy over from the "other side"---you da gal!!
NASA bulldozed two spacecraft into the lunar south pole Friday morning in a search for hidden ice. Instruments confirm that a large empty rocket hull barreled into the moon at 7:31 a.m., followed four minutes later by a probe with cameras taking pictures of the first crash. But the big live public splash NASA had hoped for didn't quite happen. Screens got fuzz and no immediate pictures of the crash or the six-mile plume of lunar dust that the mission was all about. NASA officials said their instruments were working, but the planned live photos were missing. Nearly half an hour after the crash, NASA was promising pictures updated to its Web site. People who got up before dawn to look for the crash at Los Angeles' Griffith Observatory threw confused looks at each other instead. Telescope demonstrator Jim Mahon called the celestial show "anticlimactic."
hubby woke me up for it, Megan, we both sat glued to the TV....hubby said maybe this was done at Burbank studios.....little disappointing, but hoping for some better pics later....that was my first lol of the day...
We actually had rain sometime during the night---unless it dries up fast, I may not get much done outside today. BUT....have SIL's bro coming tomorrow to help!
Yeah, me and the kid were watching and waiting...and waiting... Feeling a bit off this am, not sure why, couldn't sleep. dog has to go to vet later, eye infection again, same eye as before, they couldn't just give me the meds....gotta drag dog in...girl on phone apparently needs a personality transplant. really wish I had a different vets office.
a mile from where I live, a man came home last night, and was shot, while he was going into his garage....was wondering last night why I heard helicopters so close to the house
Yeah, one would think so. Maybe it's just me, but the office staff is rarely nice. She was very unpleaseant from the moment she answered the phone, maybe she's having a bad day.
for sure, it is related....always has made me a little nervous, with the people that live around here...a few years before I moved here there was a car bombing nearby, can't remember the details of the why in that situation....
Megan - I hope you feel better soon and that the dog's eye ailment can be treated swiftly... and I would consider telling that lady or her boss, that it's not nice to be rude....life is too short, and a little kindness goes an awful long way in this mean and nasty world She needs to have a M.A.D. Day ! jmho ! xo
I did see that Mits...thanks...it's nice weather to be bonding ! ♥
Megan... it's nice that you would think that maybe the little gal is having a bad day, so maybe you can do the M.A.D. day thing for her ...sometimes I forget my upbringing when I say some things, but this is what I think I mean instead of the other one....
Yeah, well it won't do any good, and I wouldn't want to get her in trouble. And I would really be on the staff's s list then. Dog will be fine, just one of those westie allergy things. But I know exactly what it is, he's had it before, and just need the meds. Office visit wasn't in this week's budget...but what ya gonna do, just one of those things.
Yeah, well don't give me too much credit, cause right after I was on the phone with here, I wished that a flea may travel home with her and bite her all over.
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE... Lord and Lady Baltimore are a very loving and horney...er, ummm.. bonding pair of eagles. They did the same thing last year... Hanky Panky, long before it was time!;)
I just had a phone call from a gentleman who is to be performing at a Bachlorette Party. He is suppose to wear a ladies costume which is VERY REVEALING and sheer in the private areas! He wanted to know how old I was and if I would look at him in his costume and give my opinion. I told him I would, only if he kept his underwear on. Wait til he comes to the shop and finds Gene sitting there...I'm not available this morning...GG appt. Let you know what happens;)
Wanda, I am ROFLMBO!!! I was going to say---let Gene be the one to give opinion---and then you said he would be!! HA,HA!!! What a hoot. Don't quite understand what he means about revealing in that area-----women don't wear that kind of thing OUT in public!
I don't know exactly what I need, Wanda, I'm looking at petmeds and they list 4 products and I'm not sure what the vet gave us last time. And no, I do not want to see a guy in a sheer ladies outfit.
Good Red Friday Morning All! I am over in emails but wanted you to know I made it again this morning. Wanda - what is the name of your shop?? lol Go Capt Gene! This may be the best sale of the season!
I don't know what I missed about the lunar bombing, but just finished going through the tape and there wasn't any coverage on NASA TV.................was it only on the web??
Thanks, Meggie, cause except for a static picture of Lcross for about 10 min., everything else was about podcast contest w/ a couple of goofy young guys, and a Robert Redford documentary about space.
Just remembered...during conversation last evening about SAT's---don't know what the scoring is now, but way back when...a perfect score was 1600. My ex scored 1599---missed one math question because he misplaced a decimal point! And that from guy who took Alg.2, Trig and Calc all his sophomore year---and was excused from attending class except for tests! Math genius, I think they called it!
I FINALLY got some pics of Myrtle! Saw her crawling under the pallett and rushed out with some tomato and set it out far enough that she had to come all the way out...and she didn't waste anytime chowing down! Will post on my blog when I bring up the other computer.

I agree with that, Megan - I think they are kinda wondering if they flew into a dust bowl instead of a water hole....it was very anti-climactic! :(
hubby woke me up for it, Megan, we both sat glued to the TV....hubby said maybe this was done at Burbank studios.....little disappointing, but hoping for some better pics later....that was my first lol of the day...
We actually had rain sometime during the night---unless it dries up fast, I may not get much done outside today. BUT....have SIL's bro coming tomorrow to help!

dog has to go to vet later, eye infection again, same eye as before, they couldn't just give me the meds....gotta drag dog in...girl on phone apparently needs a personality transplant. really wish I had a different vets office.
you would thing being around animals all day, would give her a better frame of mind, Megan
Megan, I am refraining this morning! :) ♀♪♫☼‼

yes well, she should not take it out on clients....rude
Wow, Mits, I just read that on NBC 4-News4 learned that the shooting took place at the home of an official with the International Monetary Fund.
MEGAN---She hasn't been up long enough to be 'having a bad day'!!
ah, I was hoping it was not a random shooting.
Looks like the Eagles at BWO are considering a little HP ♥
jmho
I would bet it's related to his job at IMF
for sure, it is related....always has made me a little nervous, with the people that live around here...a few years before I moved here there was a car bombing nearby, can't remember the details of the why in that situation....
Megan - I hope you feel better soon and that the dog's eye ailment can be treated swiftly...
and I would consider telling that lady or her boss, that it's not nice to be rude....life is too short, and a little kindness goes an awful long way in this mean and nasty world
She needs to have a M.A.D. Day !
jmho ! xo
Margy, Lisa has a pic on the BWO site of the pair mating....it is way to early for eggs, but she says they were bonding

Yeah, well don't give me too much credit, cause right after I was on the phone with here, I wished that a flea may travel home with her and bite her all over.
lol....Megan
OMG Wanda, that is too funny!!! Tell Gene we don't want pictures.
MEGAN...can you order what you dog needs on the Internet? I've seen advertisements where you can get meds without a RX.
roflmbo....I would love to be a fly on the wall for that one Wanda
Now, Megan, you know we would ALL like to see that;)LOL
glorious fall afternoon at the Finland cam
Wanda, I am ROFLMBO!!! I was going to say---let Gene be the one to give opinion---and then you said he would be!! HA,HA!!! What a hoot. Don't quite understand what he means about revealing in that area-----women don't wear that kind of thing OUT in public!
He might just chicken out, Wanda...
The Captain has a pretty commanding presence.
Funny, also, about Lord and Lady Baltimore...maybe they have been having some G&T's ☺
xo
I don't know exactly what I need, Wanda, I'm looking at petmeds and they list 4 products and I'm not sure what the vet gave us last time.
And no, I do not want to see a guy in a sheer ladies outfit.
Just think if he got pulled over by a cop on the way there in that outfit...or was involved in a traffic incident...
I can't imagine somebody revealing himself to Capt. Gene. This is too funny!
I'm thinking the Eagle at BWO just has a good or would be it a bad case of constipation...
2 eagles at BWO
I do not want to see that costume!
Happy Birthday Dear Norma!!!
Looks breezy at BWO
Hope no one else shows up at the shop when that guy is there. Maybe he'll wear a trenchcoat.
I was just thinking how funny it would be to have a bunch of people come out of a room when he was posing!
Raining again!
Not here, sunny and 62°,looks like the rain is going to the west of us again...need some rain, got bulbs to plant.
Good Red Friday Morning All!
I am over in emails but wanted you to know I made it again this morning.
Wanda - what is the name of your shop??
lol Go Capt Gene! This may be the best sale of the season!

I watched it on NASA TV, and you didn't miss anything Lynn.
Yep, it was a big Un-Bang....visual effects-wise
SO the moon has the last laugh...
My sister and I are hooked up with webcams now and watching each other work. :)
Just remembered...during conversation last evening about SAT's---don't know what the scoring is now, but way back when...a perfect score was 1600. Blue screen on NCTC cam.
I'LL SAY BLUE SCREEN...

I think Norma stayed in her Red Pajamas and went back to Bed...
I have to disappear for awhile, time for some phone calls...check on sister's situation.
Will look forward to seeing Myrtle, Lynn.
Best wishes for the trip to Doggy clinic, Megan.
