Lynn - De-cluttering is sometimes WORST then dirty! lol

Costume Lady said...

Hi, Bob...you FOXY man. LOL

Costume Lady said...

Ah, Jo, I am good at de-cluttering, not so good at cleaning the dirt. Knee and back screams at me! I take 4 200mg Motrin before I vacuum or scrub. WORKS!

Mema Jo said...

There's da man calling the SPLIT again!

Hi Bob! I looked at your newest pics over on the BW site... Love the
'Eye of the Rabbit' !

Bob Quinn said...

That rabbit and the deer were surprisingly not very shy. They eventually did run off.

Mema Jo said...

Wanda - de-cluttering is tough for me unless I am in a Pitching Mood! Then I get drawers and cupboard and table tops quickly cleared out!

Mema Jo said...

The trees are so still on our cam you would think it was frozen. I wish one of the Fluff Stealing Birds would fly in!

Mema Jo said...

Bob - did you order some calendars from the Chesapeake Bay Foundation?
The ones we want you to sign!

floralgirl said...

Well just hang on a little while and you may see some trees moving on cam. Thunderstorm coming at us, sure looks like they will hit here. Gonna slam some more plants into the ground before it gets here.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Well, I had to restart both of my computers and now I can't get the cam on either one. Just the barber shop green roller, nope, just came up on the desktop. Now, I will see about the other one.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Still not on the laptop.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

I hit refresh and got it.

hedgie said...

You're right' Jo! cleaning up dirt is easier than pitching junk, or finding place to put these blasted gew-gaws!! Kidding you, Meggy! I know you weren't implying that!
I was MUCH worse when I was much younger.....people would make fun of me pickimg things off the carpet, or wiping things up off the floor and always on family to pick-up, be neat, etc. Had some folks who would tell other people that you could eat off my floors---RIGHT! Like any one WOULD in a house with dogs!!

hedgie said...

I do, too, Wanda....before and after...and I still hurt!
Hi, Bob.....loved your pics....like we always do.

Bob Quinn said...

CBF hasn't even officially announced the winner yet. They just told me. I have no idea when their calendars will be coming out.

paula eagleholic said...

OK, People, hit the refresh button too!

Later!

Costume Lady said...

BOB, hope CBF doesn't take your winnings and leave town!:)LOL

Mema Jo said...

Bob - I would think that they will be the 2010 calendars... It will be a while.

I need to take a break and think of something to have for dinner..... I am getting hungry.

BBILW

hedgie said...

I'll buy a calendar for sure if Bob's pics are there!!
I'm getting hungry, too, Jo....have a steak thawing to put on the grill!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Is everybody's cam working okay?

magpie said...

Well there you go, here is Hidey !

magpie said...

My cam is up and running !
With a Hidey in the Middle ☺

magpie said...

Hidey must have heard you all talking about being hungry and eating ☺

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Well, I am just having a time out of my cam.

magpie said...

He's mostly beaking sticks, Sharon....

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

My birds and squirrels took off out here. They heard Hidey! :)

stronghunter said...

Good evening everyone. Just tuned in to witness Hidey in nest calling for dinner. Just sittling on his little biackside.

magpie said...

Chortling and peeping a little, and he sounds hoarse !

I have to head out now, see you folks later.

Moments of prayer for Deb and the Family, and God Bless Andrea for being there with her for us.

God Bless Us, Every One. xo

Costume Lady said...

BLESS YOU, HIDEY!

Mema Jo said...

I hear ya Hidey and my cam is doing great.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

That is a mighty loud eaglet!

hedgie said...

Jo, severe weather warning for you....turn off your puter and stay safe!

floralgirl said...

Storm headed at us, can hear the thunder.

Bibee said...

Hey again! We just got a really bad storm here in southern WV. Had to turn the computer off. So, I missed Hidey earlier.
Yeah, I have had trouble with the cam all morning. I don't like this new system.

hedgie said...

Raining here, but not storming.

floralgirl said...

Nice rain here now.

Mema Jo said...

Storm not yet over the mountain.

LW eaglets are really growing & I really do like their nest - tree trunk and all now that they are too large to hide behind it!
Adult has a good viewing limb and it also has privacy.

Costume Lady said...

Just a nice, light rain here. No wind or lightening and no thunder.

Mema Jo said...

Wild Watch - Both osprey at nest.
My eyes just can't see the little one(s) Nature protects them so well with their coloring.

Mema Jo said...

Come on rain - up and over the mountain into the valley - my plants are waiting!

hedgie said...

Wanda, how did GeeGee's Drs. apptmt. go?
And Dana, what's the word on Ed?

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

I hear that very loud eaglet clear as a bell!

Bill said...

just now saw the new cam view, the sound is awful, hope they get the bugs worked out.reading back thru this days blog, looks like everyone is having some troubles.Paula, thanks for your info about baby eagles, you sure know your birdies.Just heard hidey

stronghunter said...

Now I hear Hidey!

Long day. Keep falling asleep in between peeking at the nest and reading your messages.

Very interesting pictures of rainbows and ligntning at the fredericksburg.com site.

stronghunter said...

That's lightning

Bibee said...

I hear our baby girl. She must be hungry. I am sure she will make an appearance soon.

Bill said...

Don't guess I'll get to see the little monster at this sitting'got to run into town to a meeting,y'all keep me informed,be back in 2 hrs

paula eagleholic said...

I hear Hidey!

Taking a break from the lawn...lightening outside!

paula eagleholic said...

Well, my lawn is certainly a testament to the fact that we have had too much rain and not enough sunshine! Mushrooms Everywhere!!

stronghunter said...

My lawn got really tall before we managed to get it cut over the weekend.

stronghunter said...

Can't tell if it is raining at the nest or not. I thought it was awhile ago.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

You know, if you didn't know better, you would think that little turd is dying! :)

paula eagleholic said...

Whew! The lightening and thunder stopped and it was just sprinkling...so finished mowing, and the rain really started again as I was finishing up...the cool rain felt really good!

I hear Hidey is still peeping up a storm!

paula eagleholic said...

LOL Sharon! For sure, for sure!

hedgie said...

Just heard a really noisy but musical bird.....kept repeating...of course in a chirp or tweet: la la la la la la LA la....sounded just like the West Side Story song--which name totally eludes me.

floralgirl said...

Rain is finished at the nest now. Posted some pics of baby mockers on Whatever blog. Still can find one out in the yard, think the other is in one of the gardens. Wish the adults would get them closer together for the night.

floralgirl said...

Breezy here now, looks like one little patch of rain has pooped up, passing by nest now.

hedgie said...

Good shots, Megan! I just love these babies with their funky feather do's!

stronghunter said...

Floragirl, those little mockingbirds look awfully young. Mockingbirds are something else! When they are nesting, they try to take over my yard. I love to watch them.

stronghunter said...

Really looks stormy at the nest.

stronghunter said...

I hope Hidey is holding on tight.

floralgirl said...

Yep, I'm not sure they should've hopped out of the nest yet, but too late now, the adults have been driving us bonkers all day as the babies made their way around the yard. Hopefully they'll be safe overnight. I can hear them outsdie, could only locate one.

floralgirl said...

It's really just mostly rain, little thunder noise, and about 6 mph wind, and it's almost past us.

stronghunter said...

We went out and tried to rescue a baby mockingbird once, but decided it was old enough, so we left it alone. It was more mature than your little guys. Parents divebombed us.

paula eagleholic said...

Don't see any rain or hear any at the nest...

stronghunter said...

I think I'm seeing spidey's web, but seems pretty windy.

floralgirl said...

Adult mockers have been yelling at us all day, nest was in a busy location, and every time we turned around, babies were right by us. Got divebombed a few times by adult.

stronghunter said...

You have to admire those little birds, though. Problably not many people have been injured by a mockingbird.

floralgirl said...

One of my favorite birds, they are fearless, keep all the bad birds out of the yard.

floralgirl said...

Heading to the couch to watch tv- nite all.

stronghunter said...

..and cats, and anything else they can scare away.

paula eagleholic said...

Oh my, those baby mockingbirds are young! Hope they are OK.

I finally saw my hummer last week! He always comes around dusk...was on the deck taking a break from mowing.

I also saw him this week, he like to sit on my neighbors clothesline!

stronghunter said...

Hummingbirds like to come to the red flowers in my hanging pots on the front porch.

We've also had birds build nests in the hanging pots. It's hard to keep the flowers watered when that happens.

Bibee said...

There's a deer and a couple of raccoons in the PA woods. Where did that Hidey bird go? I thought for sure that she would visit the nest.

stronghunter said...

Have to call it a night. See you tomorrow. Hope the baby mockingbirds will be okay. I am sure the parents are watching out for them.

Bibee said...

Which owl cam is the best to watch? I love to hear them hollering!

Lolly said...

Good evening! Severe storms here! They have passed through, but still here thunder rumbling. We only got abut .4 inches of rain. Laurel got a lot more, in fact they had to hurry and put out bags of sand. She got a lot of rain in a short period of time. She also put the boys in the closet under the stairs. Wind and tornados in the area.

Mema Jo said...

That is the 1st deer that we have seen in quite a while. I did see 3 deer the other day running out in a field.

Mema Jo said...

That is scary, Lollie - glad they are safe.

Ok- what about the shopping trip?
I've been waiting to hear

Mema Jo said...

NOne of the owl cams that I know of have sound.

Wild Watch has the burrowing owls and the barn owls - both have the streaming feed.

Wild Watch Link

Mema Jo said...

Feeding time for the 2 Lake Washington eaglets.

Mema Jo said...

An adult is up on the pole at the OK nest. Can only get the wide cam view up. There could be the eaglet in the nest - but can't confirm that unless I would see the close up cam view.

Lolly said...

Oh, I bought out the town! LOL Got a dress, have two weddings coming up. Also bought some new tops, a purse, and some unmentionables.

paula eagleholic said...

Shirley - I had some finches in one of mine a couple of years ago. I let the plant die because I was afraid of disturbing them and getting them wet with the watering!

hedgie said...

Mits, how was your day at the zoo? hope the weather didn't interfere! Did everyone miss you???? Sure they did!

Bibee said...

When I first found this site, I also found an owl somewhere and it was making a noise like a pig. It scared me to death. Thanks for the link to the owls. Well, I am out of here tonight. Tired of waiting on Hidey. Have a terrible headache. I somehow forgot to take my evening meds yesterday and I think I am paying for it now. Talk to you all tomorrow. Sweet Dreams to all my Eagle Buddies!

hedgie said...

Night, Bibee. I have a headache, too--think it's the low barometric pressure! Hope you feel better in the am.

Mits said...

nice long day at the zoo, no Lynn, no one even knew I had been gone so long, we have so many volunteers for the trail, and I don't always see the same people, but my bosses where glad to see me back...meeting was about the new exhibit for the Asian elephants, part one is opening in July, so even though we are not interpreters for them, they were giving us some basic info, because they are right next to the Asian trail, it is going to be an awesome home for the ellies

Mits said...

going to say good night, got to get some things ready for the return to the beach tomorrow.

Mits said...

no rain at the zoo, it seemed to be all around us, but we were fine

Costume Lady said...

Andrea must be slam wore out this evening! What with her going to Deb's Dads memorial service and going to class this evening. Bless her many times over for her act of kindness. So anxious to hear about her meeting with our Deb.
Sleepy time here:

GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL

paula eagleholic said...

Glad you had a good return to the zoo, Mits.

Thanks again, Andrea.

((( Hugs to Deb )))

Night, friends.

Mema Jo said...

Closing down for now

Good Night All
Peace to you & yours
Prayers for everyone's needs being said

((hugs)) ♥

hedgie said...

Mits, the new elephant environs should be really great....did they say how soon it will be ready? Rest well....hope you can make it to the beach without any rain, too!
Goodnight to all turning in. Heading for tub shortly. will check back until I hit the hay to see if Andrea is back from class yet.

movin said...

Well, there's not much action tonight on here...no Hidey in the nest (that I can see).

No NBA game either..........

I did see Bob Quinn's photos this week, and they're great as usual. Does anyone know what the name of the large rodent is??

Could it be a Groundhog??

Two days without seeing Hidey due to cam malfunction. Paula I didn't know I should reboot before reinstalling adobe flash. Why did this happen all of a sudden? Say hi to our eaglet for me :(

Carol said...

Oh and no, I don't have the link to the 30 second cam - what is that?

hedgie said...

Hi, Jim, bye, Jim! Yes, Bobs' pic is a groundhog! Fat fellow, isn't he? Hope you have a good night....don't stay up too late!

Carol said...

Wow, I don't know why I didn't try this before, guess because I'm so tired by the time I get here; I just went to the original site where I can see the nest, just don't have the pop-up cam. That's okay - so where is that eaglet now?

hedgie said...

For some reason the pop-up cam disappeared once NCTC went with myoutdoortv, Carol. Never got an explanation that I remember hearing. So you have the still cam up now? Hidey is MIA!! Little imp, as Norma calls her!

hedgie said...

She doesn't realize how much we parents worry about her when she stays out all night!

hedgie said...

Goodnight momsters and dadsters. Sleep well. Peace and prayers. Talk to you in the morning, Andrea, to find out how Deb is doing.

deb said...

Hi, just a very quick note to let you all know that today was really good. My niece did the service and it was wonderful. Time to head to bed, trying to get the last people out the door. Night all!

magpie said...

Good Night Deb.... so glad I am a night owl tonight and was here for your post. Happy and comforted to hear things went well. Thanks for checking in with us.

deb said...

I just read where MsBW was going to come to the ceremony. How nice, but I didn't get to meet her. I sure wish I had, what a thoughtful thing to do.

magpie said...

Oh, good news by the way. One chick at Finney Land Nest....

deb said...

Hi, Margy. I won't be on but a bit, I am pooped. The last people are gone, so I am off to bed.

deb said...

Good news about Finny Land nest. Night everyone from CA.

magpie said...

Yes Ma'am - understand completely...
lots of Hugs, I'll pass them all on to you right now from everyone:

You are soooooo special to check in with us Momsters and Dadsters....☺

Lori O. said...

No Hidey in the nest this early morning - UNLESS he's behind the goop on the camera.

Breakfast will be soon so I imagine he'll be back soon.

stronghunter said...

A quick good morning to everyone. I must check in and check out to rush off to work. See that Hidey's not around right now.

floralgirl said...

Morning all:)

Good Morning everyone. Sorry Hidey isn't around, I haven't seen him since yesterday morning(after I ate breakfast!) I can't see or type anything on computer until I have some food. We had a terrible catastrophe last night. My daughter heard a terrible noise and thought someone was breaking into her house at 3AM. Found a large cat had jumped up and knocked three baby wrens from a nest on her front door. She was only able to save one of them. Her husband left for China yesterday so she was petrified. At least it wasn't a snake! Talk to you later. Love, Gwen
