The nest has no eaglets, so the protection group must be processing them now.
Meanwhile both parents are perching side-by-side two peaks over and next to the beach.
At first I thought both eaglets had fledged and perched over there, but according to the blog it is the adults.

Both adults are on the wing now. 01 appears to be shadowing the people, and Wray seems to be circling the nest, saw her right in front of the camera once.

I had called Lynn when they were climbing back up to put eaglets back in nest.
I've never heard that about the wax? We don't even do the wax thing anymore

Jim they never moved the camera in close the whole time they were banding. Nor did they let us hear this time what they were saying. So we don't know what numbers they banded the 2 eaglets with.
Oh boy they are going to figure out the squeakie mouse in the cam!!!!

WAX was reported to be given on Monday June 01, 2009 at 11:45pm by someone to someone....so I think whenever someone wants to use it ...it is in play so to speak.
Update from NZ FONZ:
It has been very quiet around the exhibit lately as the pandas and staff settle back into a normal routine. About seven to ten days after Mei Xiang's hormones return to baseline, her maternal behaviors gradually disappear, so last week we cleaned out her abandoned nest, and returned her drain grate, Kong toy, and plastic ball "cubs" to their proper places.
Tian Tian has been very mellow. He is sleeping the early summer days away in the grottoes, often skipping a meal as his appetite is beginning to decline. Bamboo loses some of its allure around this time every year. Tai Shan still has a great appetite. He weighed in at 205 pounds this morning.
That would be dancing queen Star at TH - glad to hear she has been seen.

Wonderful update by Steve Hartman on the Tara and Bella story from Jan. Original piece prompted all kinds of offers for books and movie, etc. about the twosome (best buds elephant and dog at sanctuary outside Nashville)....owners said no way... they weren't about to let them be trained/controlle, etc....they aren't here to serve us...they are living peacefully and happily. Good story...made me cry!

The WE banding - where they banded the chicks, I don't think the cam can be adjusted in the stand to have been able to view the working on the eaglets on the ground. The only time they hand held for the banding, was 3 years ago with Limuw...they had a hand held cam they hooked up to the internet line. TH - they just swung the cam around and they were close enough to be able to view it. They should have up close video on next week's IWS update.
I think the documentary is gonna be on PBS...they spoke with Harpo, too, when she was out in CA recently for a tour.
Mits - I did win a tour, last year, but had over $1000 worth of repair on the kids car...so I gave my tour away. I was invited out this year, but just can't get away for the tour.

Yes, the oldest has returned to the nest, Jim. Came in last night for dinner.
They said on the DGIF blog that the black thing on the lens was a dead spider, inside the cam housing.
My NORFOLK site is acting up!--They have moved things around--NEST is further back so it appears smaller!!

Where the rancher lives is beautiful country. At least it is to me. Wide open spaces, with beautiful bluffs around. Unfortunately, it is an area of the state with a lot of poverty. Got almost a blank, but every time I refresh I get something different.
Got a perfect picture, except it was smaller, with no surrounding info, then hieroglyphics, and once I got the regular size picture with the "nest notes" tab across the Osprey.

I could hear Hidey way off in the distance around 6:30 and just now at 7:13am, Belle brought in 'something' and didn't stick around to see Hidey's antics. She has learned that this kid won't shut up until he is left alone or fed...she wasn't in the mood for feeding, so she took off:) It looks really strange...might be a half-eaten fish.
