Have spent the last 10 min/ trying to post here as well as go back and gather the troops from the old thread...nothing but trouble w/ the blog site. Went back to your email Jo and got the link again, so will see what happens this time when I hit publish!
Hi, I successfully navigated the 405 up to LAX during rush hour. Wanda, I need an Eagle Talon! Busy day, we are off to eat dinner, tomorrow is the Harbor Cruise and barbacue, then Saturday is the wedding. Sunday morning is a brunch, then finally we can relax. It is still warm here, today we saw dolphins and seals and one OSPREY!! It was so pretty.
We could see what was showing on TV from where we were sitting...they had a screen at the scorers table...so we got to see all the good replays! The only time I saw myself was at the very end when they were shaking hands...standing up clapping, I saw my lower half!
My brother had a rough morning but is much better tonight. Here's an email I got from SIL this evening.
After a "bad" two or three hours this A.M. (nausea, shortness of breath, total exhaustion, etc.) Charles has had a pretty good day. He ate more than he has eaten in the last three days, has been up more and the pain seems to be better. He had a real good night...slept all night without waking up...(and so did I). I slept so sound that it scared me when I woke at 4:45 and had not heard him at all during the night. When I discovered he was still breathing, I let him sleep until he awoke on his own!
The Home Health Nurse will be back out tomorrow so hopefully he will feel that Charles is improving, also.
Thanks for all the prayers, calls, etc. That is what gets us through. Please keep the prayers going.
it was hard to see on TV, Paula, but they kept running past the timers' table...hubby has seats around there, but he never gets to go, but maybe once or twice a season
Paula, looked in on the game a few times and thought maybe I saw you once, but the camera was so far back that it was hard to tell! Red, encouraging news on your bro. Deb, sounds like you are having a ball! More fun to be had. When do you head home? Me thinks you'd better just stay out there for a couple of weeks!!! You should meet up with Jim while you're there!
Well I think it's time for a soak in the tub, w/ a good book in hand. Hope everyone stays snug-as-a-bug tonight....it's a bitter one. Prayers for all, and Praise God for His miracle today in NYC.
Movie was enjoyable.. Good to hear from DEB - sounds like the whirlwind of events is still going strong & really sounds like Fun! Red - That was good email with news from your sil. Will keep him & your family in prayers.
I saw some lights off to the left in the snowman cam - may have been more snow mobiles.
WOW!!! It is 5° here this morning. Just took the dog out, I couldn't get back inside fast enough. Schools here apparently on time, many WV schools closed or delayed two hours. Don't know wht kind of damage that can do to puter, when it happens frequently, so am going to shut this thing down for a couple of hrs. Hopefully, Allegheny Power can get their act together!
Hey Hedgie- don't hold your breath... Many days our power goes out several times during the day for just a couple of seconds...all hail alleghenhy power... Hello Ceil, Helen, Norma
The way it happened: Sylvia was visiting her friend Nancy in the undisclosed location, Brian the nurse, more annoying to Mason than I am, called Sylvia, "Sylvia listen to this: " Say hi to your mom Mason" " Hi Mom" He also said " hello" . His voice is very slght since he is still learning to push air enough to vibrate his vocal cords and shape the words and use his tongue at the same time.I think about how many things that need to happen to speak, its amazing how hard he is working to speak. He has more to say and he will. We build a little at a time. Its all uphill from here. How amazing the people at Bryn Mawr are, I get worn out just by standing around watching them. All Superstars! Love and Peace from Newtown Square
MORNIN' HEDGIE!!---We have Allegheny too!----That happens here every now & then---didn't hurt computer---just annoying!---need to reset clocks, etc.----Bet you haven't gone out for paper yet!!---COLD OUT THERE---DID YOU KNOW?----ho!

Hope your cam day watching is beautiufl, but msot of all I hope anyone with power troubles has some sort of heat there goodness.
Outside my window this morning the Pine Siskins are eating me out of house and home. Earlier this week my birding neighbor and I went to re-check the Sandhill Cranes that are roosting near here and we saw a large flock of Snow Buntings. Another birder says we missed a flock of Tree Sparrows, but there are 3 or 4 coming to my feeders this month. I miss the Red-breasted Nuthatches I had last winter.
Mason's news gives me chills and tears. What prescious words "Hi Mom"!!!!
Here 3 is going to be our High today but not supposed to happen until 6 pm. I am not staying inside all day again til 6pm. It ain't gonna happen. Beautiful blue sky and bright sunshine. Think warm thoughts.

Oh, and after one eagle flew in my cam picture froze and I never saw the second eagle!!!!!! Bad words!
Hey Norma! Jack just brought me breakfast (I am sitting in my lazy boy!) We had homemade cinnamon rolls and sausage. Left overs from Christmas and the freezer. Diet does not start til all of this temptation is out of the house. We are celebrating Chrissy's birthday, I guess!

But, Norfolk keeps going still on me, that happened last evening when I was watching the Eagle on the Branch...guess it will improve as the upgrades continue...
grannyblt: What part of Pennsylvania are you in? My friend in New York, just across from Pa border/Erie, has pine siskins and snow buntings at his feeders too, often.
MARGY---I agree!---It is so hard to even see the nest at NORFOLK!!-----MARGY---So much happened to their nest & EAGLES last season!!----just say a pray that all works out this season!!!

Praises and Joys for Mason's sweet words "hi mom".
And off to the right...
Enjoyed that! Did I tell you that I am making an Elvis cake for Zach's 3rd birthday? I have ordered an edible picture of Elvis to put on the cake. He is WILD about Elvis and got a guitar for his birthday.
Oh, and after one eagle flew in my cam picture froze and I never saw the second eagle!!!!!! Bad words!
I'm going outside-don't forget to layer
good one, Megan
Whoops! He got a guitar for Christmas, not his birthday. His birthday is Feb 1, his party is Jan. 30.
Ok, I swear, I'll stay off of you tube now, that clip makes me laugh, poor kid can't move...
Megan, reminds me of my Mom, making me put on all the clothes to walk a half block to school:)

It is -8 here but sunny for now. about 14 inches of snow in the past week that hasn't had a chance to melt.

That was funny Megan!
Hey Norma! Jack just brought me breakfast (I am sitting in my lazy boy!) We had homemade cinnamon rolls and sausage. Left overs from Christmas and the freezer. Diet does not start til all of this temptation is out of the house. We are celebrating Chrissy's birthday, I guess!
Time to read the paper. BBL

See I missed an Eagle visit :(
Norfolk is up, you probably know that.
What I like about the Mason story, is that he said what he did, but prior to that, he followed a verbal command. Awesome!
☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺
Cool! I checked earlier but the mom was on the nest, she's back now, but I did see the baby.
I was in the gh-it's 61°, come on over if you want to work on your tan...

I don't know what you've said so far this A.M., but there's another update this morning on Buddy's existence.
AND, there is an further description on how Mason came to say, "Hi, Mom." Personally, I think it's even more hopeful.
