WOW!----I have SUNSHINE on my shoulders---now!!!
Good morning, eagle lovers!Norma (our politico supreme), I bet you are glued to the TV today, aren't you? Don't think they could pay me to be in that mob!Candy, are you off because of snow, or because of it being Inauguration day?It was 11° here at 7am....brrrr..snuggled back under the covers for an hour, but not much improvement--hate having to hustle to get the fire built back up!!Wish our cam was up!
HELEN---Any news from PAULA?
Has anyone heard from Loretta? Don't think she was on at all yesterday, and she hasn't read an email I sent her yesterday morning. Oh, Loretta!!!! Hope everything is ok with you!
Newspaper article said that there may have been two jaguars involved in the incident at Catoctin. It said the lady was taken to Shock Trauma, but didn't give an update on her condition.
Good Morning on this very historic day!The Momster across the pond sent us a beautiful card for today. I am glad to see the BWE waiting for me.No word from Paula and I really didn't see anything in today's or yesterday's paper. You who have your Christmas address list should be able to send cardsI'll let you know the minute I hear from her and you do the same. Prayers for Paula to be strong for her family and have peace in her heart.
Not too many cams up/running this morning. Must all be on a holiday!
MORNIN' HEDGIE!---Just turn your TV pm & stay in BED!!----ho!---I know I sound like a kid----but I am always amazed watching the Secret Serice. et al!!----Remember----LBJ got out of the car (with the SS screaming) & walked---shaking hands with everyone!!
Glo has more beauties posted!!
Hello again:) The Obamas just arrived at the white house for their meeting with the Bushes.I shouldv'e gotten sponsors, only the lack of funds kept me from DC-I would've loved to be there. The excitiemnt, the history, I love being down on the mall, been there many times for big events, alas, I am glued to the tv....Jo, can you send me Paula's address, I never got the Xmas list , I cannot get the Momsters mail to come to my inbox anymore...
Thanks HELEN & JO!!----
JO!---I have been so concerned about PAULA----I remember all too well----You have to grow up in a hurry---but she does have a brother!!!
Here is the DC cam Earthcam Capitol cam
Megan normally that cam is always stationary, but since yesterday they have be panning it from Capitol to Union Station
MEGAN---Wish you had called!---ho!Seriously---I would loved to have gone!!
somehow I knew this would happen...Person Struck by Gallery Place Metro TrainMetro said a person was struck by a train at the Gallery Place Metro Station. Metro said the person is alive and trapped between the crawl space and the first rail. Gallery Place Red Line traffic is stopped
I love the Metro it is fabulous here, but it can get very crowded, and confusing...
Thanks, Helen:) Yeah, I've been watching that cam since late last nite, watching C-span on tv also.Pileated woodpecker is outside my window, I'd get a pic, but I don't want to scare him away.
Oh, that's awful, with such large criowds, it's easy to see how someone could fall or get pushed down there.
Megan , hubby has it on NBC....maybe C-Span is the way to go.....
Hello all, been lurking around this morning!! Excitement is in the air for sure. Something like that was almost bound to happen in DC. Lucky if that is the only thing that happens (bet the one who is stuck doesn't feel lucky though). We had a big ole red-tailed hawk out here this morning, red-bellied woodpecker amongst the other usual beautiful birds.
Whoa! Another multivehicle crash on Interstate 81 north of Chambersburg this morning. Two people are confirmed dead.At 9:13 a.m. both northbound lanes of I-81 are closed and one southbound lane is open, police said. Prayers for those that died & those that were injured! Weather is thecontributing factor - People need to slow it down..
MEGAN---I hope the bird isn't 'tapping' on you window?----Aren't they beautiful--but noisy!! ho!
C-Span is pretty good, no breaking away for commercials, and they are really showing the crowds in DC.
Thanks for that link, Megan. You should have mail.
He isn't tapping on my house, Norma, just on a tree right outside it. He is gorgeous. Hubby saw a big red fox this morning, just after daylight, of couse I walked out two minutes too late...
We have a first cousin that lives in Chambersburg.
Norma, I don't recall the specifics, but remember something about "witches birds" that tap on windows, signifying a pending death within....there was a Nancy Drew book that featured it when I was a kid..it made a big impression on me, and my mean little sister rode my a.. about it and made it into a big joke. So, one night, with the help of my ever-lovin' daddy, I snuck outside and using his belt buckle, I tapped on her bedroom window!!! Scared her pretty "good'!!
OH HEDGIE!!---You are "mean"!!---ho!---I had a younger sister too!---She used to get away with MURDER!!--ho!----That's so funny!----Oh how I loved those NANCY DREW books!!----
I have been able to find out from Paula's work place that Paula's mom has been cremated and a Memorial Service will be set up. The family is waiting for her son to return from Jamaica. With this info I pray all of us can nowrelax our worries for our special gal!WE LOVE YOU PAULA & Prayers and positive thoughts are coming at you and your family!
I have CH 7---ABC---no commercials--FRONT DOOR OF WHITE HOUSE OPEN---here they come---
Do you see any Sec Svc men up on the roof of the capitol? The cam seems to have a good zoom... I pray they get the injured person off the Metro tracks...
Good cold morning all. It is cold. I thought it was going to warm up. Hope it does by Saturday or there could be ice on the bay. Thanks Jo regarding Paula's mom. Just mailed a card to her.Lynn the zoo keeper is still in critical condition according to the Baltimore news.We had to go out last night and it was icy and trucks and cars did not slow down.
Thanks, Mema Jo, for the info on Paula!! Prayers and love sent her way.
Thanks JO!---PAULA has certainly handled things well!!----My thoughts & prayers are with her & her family---
Wonder what is up with our cam??
it went down early last evening Sharon, right after the last visit.....I hope they did not bump into the cam while they where in the top branches...the cam view changed yesterday, think the gorilla tape might be slipping
I am trying to get myself ready for a 2:00 appointment plus stay glued to the CHN 7 TV. I'll check in here a little later
our cam is up with an EAGLE IN IT
We have a new president. God bless him.
We officially have our 44th president!!
Eagle in nest to just in time to welcome the new president. GOD BLESS AMERICA
For a few minutes Biden was president because it was a few minutes after noon.
One eagle still in our nest. Two at BWO. They really do like that platform.
long lunch for our eagle Ceil...
Well, that was a very impressive speech. He can certainly make speeches better than his predecessor.
The wind is about to blow our eagle's hat off!!
well, we shall see, actions speak louder than words
Right Mits, the proof is in the puddin'! But I am hopeful!
Well, I will remain optomistic, cause actions do speak luoder than words, and I have not cared for the actions of the last 8 years.....Sorry, I'm fired up....
So glad I'm checking back in! Noisy up there in the nest.. I grabbed a sandwich and tuned in to the Eagles' lunch. Fantastic! Our 44th gave a very dramatic speech - His words were really powerful and meaningful! I was very impressed
Time for me to get ready to go for the 2:00 - just the foot Dr.I shall returnKeep your eyes on that eagle!!!BBL
I am with ya Megan!! I am so very hopeful for the first time in years and years!! No more GWB!!!
Yeah, sorry, no politics, I know, but how can ya not talk about it today. I have lost a lot of hope and I need some change(literally...lol...) onward and upward for the USA!!Off to school to pick up kid who was working on a drama project this am...bbl...
I recorded it on a DVD for Mattie to have, definitely history in the making.
I am finally home. We got into Omaha at 11:30 last night and it was drizzling, so we decided not to drive home. Coming back to winter after a week in the 80's is not my idea of fun!
An eagle, what a nice coming home surprise!
Ok, so it didn't record to DVD but I did record it on the DVR as well, so maybe I can get that onto a disc.
Welcome back Deb. You were missed. Know the feeling. Wanting to go to Florida.
welcome home Deb, we really missed you....
speaking as a person who lives close to places that terrorists want to destroy, I hope that I feel as safe the next 4 years, as I have the last 8 years...JMHO:)
Deb you sure had recording breaking temps out there....how did the wedding go.....BTW Big Rig Steve blew a transmission and is off line, truck has to be towed to Kansas to be fixed
EAGLE BACK IN NEST

LIB JUST LANDED
she wants to eat and he wants to work
bless her she just sneezed
I am off to pick up the dogs. BBL
Or maybe not, I had to turn the cams back on!
she is not sharing that big old fish
Is your video freezing up every once in a while?
Had to laugh when Jo talked about eating her lunch with the eagles....she must have a strong stomach like me!!!Welcome home, Deb! Hope you had a great time...are you ready to grab the dogs and go back to the warmth??
yes freezing up big time
Belle needs to come up for air...
Belle is not sharing her lunch with Lib, is she?
Yes, Lynn. It was in the 80's all week, we couldn't have asked for better weather.
This little dog is so funny. If we sneeze or cough or clap our hands or anything like that, he barks his head off!!
Mits, you have mail!
Oh, Sissy, Cinnamon doxie does the same thing if it startles her--like when she's dozing!
She is beginning to get hard of hearing, tho', so it's not as bad as it used to be. She used to be SO attracted to animal sounds on TV, and would actually watch the screen as long as there was an animal making noise...but not much anymore.
I like the new Lake Washington Live Cam. It was nice to see one eagle in the nest for a bit when I found the cam.
Deb, it really is good to have you back. I bet it really was hard leaving that beautiful weather though.Lynn, he does it no matter what he is doing or we are doing.
Snowing here again!
We have two eagles again.
DEB!---So HAPPY!! -- YOU ARE HOME!---REALLY---REALLY HAVE MISSED YOU!---But I am glad you got to enjoy the warm weather & spend time with your friends!!!
LYNN, back at ya...

MEGAN---& SISSY---I think it's wonderful that we have this new President!----Never thought this day would ever happen!!---It is going to be rough---but will be interesting!! He is so intelligent!!
Now, I am really off to get the dogs. I am downloading my pictures, but will have to wait for my sister to send pictures from the wedding festivities to have any people pictures.
will look forward to them, Deb
Looking forward to your pics, Deb!
WHOA DEB!----I bet your dogs will be so excited to see you---they will never calm down!----
Hope JO gets good news from Dr.---Wonderful -- she seems to be feeling so much better!---(and that is such a good thing)

How long have you been gone!!! Anxious to see your pics & even more so to see the wedding people!
Deb welcome home...Thanks Jo for update on Paula's Mother. Prayers to a special lady and her family. This is a very historical day in US History. We all must pray for our NEW PRESIDENT. Report on Ted Kennedy is he is ok. The long of the day and cold tired him out and helped caused the seizure. Senator Byrd was taken out due to being upset about his friend Senator Kennedy.Prayers for those involved in different traffic accidents. Plus the metro accident.
BWE in nest

They just put the President and First Lady back into the car.
We have to keep an eye on BWE to see if she stays in nest overnight.
eagle gone at BWE1 still BWO
Good Afternoon...Back from the doctor...Have a new knee! Doctor had to try three times to get needle in right spot. He said I have a lot of "stuff" in the way of the needle (a bone), doesn't everyone?? It is so numb, I can't tell if it is better or not. I'll let you know tomorrow. LOLThanks, Jo, for update on Paula's Mom.Dana, glad Ed is feeling better. Did he have the same "Bug" that has been going around?WELCOME HOME, DEB! You know we want photos.
good evening everyone
glad to see the camera is up
**GREAT DAY****EVERYONE**It's really been a great, awesome Inauguration, don't you think!!So many historical resonances, and the force of the new President's message and the general feeling of joy and brotherhood in the crowds...It all reminds me of a combination of JFK's Inauguration and Martin Luther King's "I have a dream" speech. What a great, historic day!C(°ٿ°)DJim
Hi Thelma! Glad you got on here...you seem to bring our 2 Mountaineers to the nest:)
hello Jim and Wanda
Yes, Jim, it was an impressive Inaugration. Obama seems to want to do all the things he promised us when he was running for President. I pray that he is successful. I haven't had time to view all that we recorded, but did hear his address to the nation. 20 minutes seemed short, sweet and to the point.
well, so far no magic Wanda :)
They came yesterday at 5:16...flew away and returned at 5:30pm.
Lib and Belle, I'm going to fix supper, you can come on into the nest now...you little teasers:)
That's right Wanda. We have been patient long enough!
I wonder if they feel our spirits?
There is no doubt in my mind that they feel our spirits!
that's exciting stuff
here we go
And there is an eagle!
2 NOW Hi Sharon and Thelma
BOTH OF THEM!!
Wanda, are you still there?
I was just getting ready to say the same thing Dana! HP for sure!
poof both goneSorry Wanda wasn't reading back on comments. Yes he did but over it now. Just needs to slowly build more strength up.Wanda it is time for that "real new knee".
that was not nearly long enough
Wanda-you need a laptop so you can watch out for Belle and Liberty while your cooking dinner.
Thelma, Gene brought home a Lap-top a few weeks ago, and the keys were so shiney, I couldn't see the letters. He took it back and we decided to wait til our vacation was over and be a little more selective as to what we want and need. Maybe some after Christmas sales will give us some good prices.
Mits, Big Rig Steve is on the road again.
hot diggity, thanks, Red...I love watching him, it is interesting, and some of the views are great:)
Where do I find Big Steve, Red? I'm tired of Inauguration.
There is a short video clip of Luney on the Atlanta Panda Cub Updates... Tuesday, January 20Xi Lan may not be able to eat bamboo yet, but it sure does make a great toy to while away the day with.
Thanks Mema Jo-while I was on there I watched the birth again. What a precious celebration of life.
That cam is so cool.... Big Rig SteveI think I am in Lincoln Nebraska waiting to load but the cam has me rolling down the highway....... http://www.bigrigtravels.com/There you go Wanda - I goggled it and think it is what Mits & Red were talking aboutRight now I am just waiting to see what the attire is for the Balls that they attend!
Whoo Hoo! Pulling into a truck stop
I'm signing off. I hope you all have a good evening.
Big Rig Steve travels with his cat.I watched him go from NJ to Utah last week, and then he was on his way back and his transmission blew
Good Evening Everyone. Just read all the exciting comments on the Blog. Welcome Home, Deb ! ☺ ♥ Jo: Thanks for the information regarding Paula's decisions for her Mom and the memorial service.
Margy, I forgot to look for ISS tonight, think it was the night it was passing by twice:(
Interesting 9-1-1 call 6:30 this morning: Lady calls, she and a group of 43 traveled up from New Orleans, on their church bus, a diesel. They were headed to Carlisle PA, first, then to the Inauguration (not sure I understand That Part) - bus breaks down at one of our Martinsburg exits! We called around to have a mechanic go check things out, and they were trying to find a more local hotel to settle in and change clothes and things. I think, they must have made it on their way, I hope. I didn't get the update....All the way from New Orleans, on a Church Bus! ♥
Thanks, Jo. What an interesting concept...a trucker inviting the public along on his travels.
BR Steve's cat is named TK (truck kat) and if you e-mail him he does answer you back....it takes him a few days, but he does get back to you....I never did get an answer from the e-mail address for the eagle cam on our site.....?
HI MITS My schedule here said would come through around 5:29.. A month ago that would have been dark enough to see it! I scooted outdoors to check, saw Bright Venus, but think it was too bright yet to see the ISS - A schedule I printed over the week-end had listed a fly by for Wednesday, but that is no longer posted.... :(
amazing story, Margy
Margy, I heard that a lot of folks couldn't get rooms near DC and had to go to Carlisle...2 hours away. Hope they found something closer.
...Out the door to check on elderly neighbor lady. "See" you folks in a little while. xo ☺
...S P I T ... is coming soon. Tee Hee. ☺ I was watching that day, with T-Bone and Potato Chops!
Margy this is on my schedule for tomorrow night...ISS Wed Jan 21/06:09 PM 4 minutes , just missed the 7:17 fly by.
Good evening; I just droped in tosay hi.I didn't do much today,i just stayed i and watched tv (CNN)boy that was great.Indiana Nesting Eagles----Dave
