I was trying to get the new album to be first on the first page... I can't do it. I did name it 01/31/2009 First Egg NCTC I'll see what I can do tomorrow WELL later this morning! All your pic are in there... Didn't enter any of mine yet.
Good Very Good Morning to you all Head is going down..........
Wonderful....such eggcitement!!! Head tucked in...hope Belle is resting well now, despite wind. She had a rough evening! Need to go check everyone's pics!! And, Mits, you never get up during night!!! Ha, ha...so glad you did tonight!
Guess I'm talking to myself....everyone must have fallen asleep at the keyboards! Well, we all had the intuitive feeling that it was going to happen, and we were right!!! Of course, it took 24 hrs! LOL! Congrats all momsters and dadsters...thank you Lady Belle and Lib! A toast to the new season, and to new life! Heading back to the pillows, as Margy says!
AND to all you lucky ducks that got to see the happening, I'm so glad for you. I had a rough long week at school, and did some lurking in the evening, but couldn't keep my eyes open for this wonderful occasion! This is just wonderful and now the the season begins.
GOOD MORNING TO ALL OUR EXPECTANT MOMSTERS & DADSTERS... We are now going to have to get our housework done in a hurry, so that we can spend more time watching the EAGLE NURSERY!:) Poor, Belle, she must have been holding that egg in for hours after the shots scared her away. I wonder?? WAY TO GO, LIBERTY & BELLE!!!!!
Good morning all. Missed the party too but sure glad grandma MeMa saw the egg. :). I will read back BUT does anyone know if Belle now gets to sit there all day and night and listen to them hunting around her. Sorry but I just have to ask!!!!.
Good morning Lib and Belle. ...oh and little one to be!!!!
Morning all. Glo, hopefully the hunting was a one-time event....if Jo gets hold of Steve, I bet it will be! Can only imagine how tough it was on Belle...I am convinced thaT that was why she flew away and was gone for so long, but a miracle that she held the egg for that time because I think she was ready earlier in the evening!! DON'T PUSH, BELLE!!! Wouldn't it have been awful if she had dropped it someplace?
Well Dex's eyes look better each day but he threw up his medicine last night while I was asleep. So I am now cleaning up Dex and a spot on the carpet. Deciding what to do about the med. Of course the eyedrops and antibiotic will be ok. its the pain med that had that warnig and he doesn't seem to be in pain so much anyway these days. Think I will give his belly a break today .Thanks Sissy for asking.
Yes that hunting messed with our Belle last night and was NOT a good thing at all for her. She has sat there through inches of snow burying her so she will sit there now on that egg even if she is a wreck but I sure hope they don't make her do that!!!
You know what Glo, I felt that NCTC was going against what they stand for, allowing hunters at this time of nesting for Belle and Lib. Just can't understand it. Maybe Steve will calm our RUFFLED FEATHERS, with some words of wisdom!
He was eating ok Wanda well all but last sat anyway. We will go for our coffee and dog treats and take it easy and see what happens. That pain med does come with a warning so I think it is the culprit.
I'm surprised Steve didn't mention that it was going to be happening, hard to believe he wouldn't know about it. It definitley seemed to send her up into the tree for hours.
HARBINGERDC...If you'll notice, Lib doesn't take up a lot of space in the nest...when Belle is in there she takes up about a third of the nest. She also has a sort of V feathered on her lower neck.
Congrats to Belle and Lib. So glad that Jo, Margy, Deb and Helen saw it. Oops manners. Good morning and such a good day for our Eagles. NCTC is in for a lot of grief. Go get um Jo we are right behind you.
It is 17° here right now, and the wind has died down. We know that egg is warm. If gunshots start again and Belle is forced to leave that nest...I may get violent;);)
CEIL, that would be a perfect Anniversary present...a trip to the nest and breakfast at Betty's (bacon & eggs and BIG pancakes) then a fine dinner at Rumsey Tavern...Sans, Michael!!;);)
Don't know the answer to that Harbingerdc...They are so fussy when one of us go there to visit the nest...won't let us go very near. They make us park on the road, some distance away from the nest (for their protection). What's up with that????
Yeah, cause I understand why they might allow the hunt, but the timing is very questionable, and they semed to be very close to the nest. NCTC is a large place, they could have gone way onto the back of the property.
At 7:01AM comment shows Belle leaving nest and Liberty taking her place over the egg. Pictures were sent out. Harbingerdc do you get the Eaglet_Momster email?? If not I can send the pictures to your email addy.
Oh, just remembered...whoever was asking about the orientation of the nest tree on the property....Paula has maps posted on the Momsters photo album page!
I have tried about ten times to re-name the photo album on the Momsters Album page, with no success, so I think we will just have to settle for being on the first page, about the middle, entitled .01/31/2009 First Egg NCTC
At least they are on the first Photos, albums page, and I'm sure when the chicks are hatched, we can figure out to get them on the First album...
there are about 7 on there including some nice ones of the changing of the guard that Dana added... It is an "add by anyone" album" so Have At It !
If yo have any questions about it, I can try to answer them....I think you do need to be signed onto the Yahoo Eaglet Momsters page to add anything....
Oh, and don't forget there is a slideshow feature to that
I am so eggcited about "our" egg. I tried watching for a while early this morning but my basement computer keeps freezing up when I play the live feed. So I missed the action. I did see a glimpse of the egg a few minutes ago. Now the fun begins.....
The slideshow that Maine Forum put on, towards the bottom of the first page, is really cute, with swirling hearts. Here is the link that Deb posted several hours ago: Maine Forum
Good Ole' Sharon started the Egg Show rolling by alerting us the "Eagle had arrived" - shouted so loud it got Mema Jo coughing, reminded MITS she needed to go to the loo, and must have whispered to me in my sleep....I think DEB was still up ! ☺
I wonder if this will be another quadruple split day !
I think when we are "away" from the nest for a length of time it would probably be helpful to close the live feed down...since it seems that the more the viewers, the more refreshing is needed. Do you all agree? I know it is a sacrifice....
Sometimes, if you close your live feed, and there are a lot of viewers, you can't get it back up. Yes, it would be a sacrifice...what to do, what to do??
Good point....don't y'all pay attention to me.... I'm just going back to what was mentioned the other night about filling up the bandwidth or whatever that means.... ☺
Well Dex enjoyed some treats at the neighbors while I drank a cup of coffee. I am not going to give him the pain med this morning and give his stomach a little more chance to settle. I will head out to watch local eagles for a while today and when I do I iwll close down my live feed and hope to get it back up when I return.
You all know that later this evening you can expect a Feedblitz on our egg. If you have a photo you want included please send it my way. You will be given credit for your photo. Otherwise I will just use what I can capture myself off and on during the day.
Norfolk got up from the egg cup again and is standing nearby.... Is she building and trying the nest, or is she there because she thinks her first egg is due??

Happy EGG DAY Everyone!!! I woke up at 5AM for no reason & read about egg!!!! Been reading back to see when Belle came back to nest & see that Margy saw her there at about 1 AM & egg about an hour later!! Last night when Belle left, Wanda asked, "what does a bird do if it was an egg and has to old it?"I was going to answer that she gets eggstipation! TEE HEE ☺ Sorry, I couldn't keep it in---such a joyous time!
This AM at Park, no eagle seen at nest, but went to get keys for truck at other office & one beauty flew right over my head!!! Passing the nest a little later, eagle flew into to nest & posed!Red-tailed hawk was flying close to road also. The bright sun has made them even more gorgeous. Current Park report---now back to WV Nest!!!!!Have a great day, Eagle Watchers!!☺

Good morning Lib and Belle. ...oh and little one to be!!!!
OMG!!!! We have an egg!!! I knew it, I knew she was going to last night!! Thanks for all the news, Eaglet Momsters ROCK!
Good morning Glo! How's Dex?

Poor Dex...just breaks your heart when a pet doesn't feel well. Is he eating well, Glo?
Dana Thank you so very much for the picture in my email this morning. You will definitely be seeing it again :): ((((Dana))))
Is this Belle or Liberty?
I checked earlier to show hubby the nest and thought I saw an egg being turned.
And so it begins!!
I believe this to be Lib, taking his turn:)
I'm surprised Steve didn't mention that it was going to be happening, hard to believe he wouldn't know about it.
It definitley seemed to send her up into the tree for hours.
Where are you, Paula. Come, be with us today. Take a break from all your worries and cares, just for today. You need that!:)
HARBINGERDC...If you'll notice, Lib doesn't take up a lot of space in the nest...when Belle is in there she takes up about a third of the nest. She also has a sort of V feathered on her lower neck.
Glo, if Dex is eating well, then he will have a good chance of getting well. Prayers for that special puppy:)
Congrats to Belle and Lib. So glad that Jo, Margy, Deb and Helen saw it.
Oops manners. Good morning and such a good day for our Eagles.
NCTC is in for a lot of grief. Go get um Jo we are right behind you.
Thanks, Costume Lady!
February 8th is our 45th wedding anniversary. When Jim asked what I want I will say to go to NCTC to see the eagle nest.
Sun is in my face, can't see to type. BBL!
It is 17° here right now, and the wind has died down. We know that egg is warm. If gunshots start again and Belle is forced to leave that nest...I may get violent;);)
Off to get breakfast and to clean house will check in now and then. Have a great day all.
I am with you Wanda.
Gun shots? They can't allow hunting near the site. What's up?
People heard gunshots last night and Margy found out that they allowed a deer hunt on the property last night.
CEIL, that would be a perfect Anniversary present...a trip to the nest and breakfast at Betty's (bacon & eggs and BIG pancakes) then a fine dinner at Rumsey Tavern...Sans, Michael!!;);)
They must have known that nesting behavior had begun. How could they allow that?
Ceil, talk Jim into that arrangement and maybe we will ALL join you:)
There's the egg!!
Don't know the answer to that Harbingerdc...They are so fussy when one of us go there to visit the nest...won't let us go very near. They make us park on the road, some distance away from the nest (for their protection). What's up with that????
Did I read right? They were hunting around the nest last night?
Lib, lay down, your egg is showing!
Thank you!
Yeah, cause I understand why they might allow the hunt, but the timing is very questionable, and they semed to be very close to the nest. NCTC is a large place, they could have gone way onto the back of the property.
Oh, my goodness, Sissy...we were livid! Can you imagine that?
I guess it is time for me to be quiet about this subject or NCTC might ban me and the Eagle Express from the grounds:(:(
Congratulations Belle and Liberty on your first egg of 2009.
Also special thanks to our four midwives (Jo, Margy, Deb and Mits) for you assistance and photographs.
good morning everyone
so happy to hear we have an egg
Where are the photographs?
At 7:01AM comment shows Belle leaving nest and Liberty taking her place over the egg. Pictures were sent out. Harbingerdc do you get the Eaglet_Momster email?? If not I can send the pictures to your email addy.
No I don't. Please sent them to harbingerdc@gmail.com
Thanks!!
Oh, just remembered...whoever was asking about the orientation of the nest tree on the property....Paula has maps posted on the Momsters photo album page!
Harbingerdc check your mailbox
Harbingerdc , Sharon, et al...if you read back on the blog from last evening, you can catch all of our angst about the hunting!
Did anyone get pics of this morning I think 4 of them through Eaglet_Momster email???
Got them. Thanks, WV Gal!!!
* Good Eagle Egg Morning *

Yes, good News! We're in the Army Now !
Wow, I am in the 700 Club....
☺
I could take stills & video in past years when the feed ran in Real Player but don't know how to do this with flash.
hee hee I think Liberty keeps looking around hoping Belle will soon relieve him...lol
good morning Magpie
If yo have any questions about it, I can try to answer them....I think you do need to be signed onto the Yahoo Eaglet Momsters page to add anything....
Oh, and don't forget there is a slideshow feature to that
I can never get things right when I tr to post to the Momsters Albums, so I post on my blog. Just put a few on Wild and Wonderful.
Your welcome Rosebud ( :
I am so eggcited about "our" egg. I tried watching for a while early this morning but my basement computer keeps freezing up when I play the live feed. So I missed the action. I did see a glimpse of the egg a few minutes ago. Now the fun begins.....

Thanks, Deb...! xo
Trucker-Steve left earlier the truck stop he slept at. Started traveling and is now at another TS, probably for breakfast.
DANA, I had those same thoughts, about Lib...he's looking like "hey, it's your turn!"
I saw it last night Margy it is really special they did that. Of course they have always followed our nest too.
It says "And Here's a Slideshow" posted by PattiO -
she has several posts so keep looking...☺
Wanda - We should try to have someone figure that out, why they won't go on there...but your Wild and Wonderful is a treat and soooo easy to get to!
HI T-BIRD !
and Everyone Else !
xo
Good Ole' Sharon started the Egg Show rolling by alerting us the "Eagle had arrived" -
shouted so loud it got Mema Jo coughing, reminded MITS she needed to go to the loo, and must have whispered to me in my sleep....I think DEB was still up ! ☺
Cam Studio (which is free) should let you record the video and audio with the NCTC Eagle Cam. I just tried it, and it worked for me.
You might have to play with the settings a bit, but it works with Flash.
We'll re-post some of that info when the new thread comes up, it might be helpful. I'll leave the video things to the experts.
Thanks for the info, Lisa, and thanks for sharing our excitement with us ! ☺
Blle just relived lib
Belle just relived lib
I wonder if this will be another quadruple split day !
I think when we are "away" from the nest for a length of time it would probably be helpful to close the live feed down...since it seems that the more the viewers, the more refreshing is needed. Do you all agree? I know it is a sacrifice....
Like, who is going to be away from the nest anytime soon ?
Ha Ha....
But I am closing it down now myself, got some things to do..
xo ☺ ♥
GLO: Hope things are going to work out okay for DEX -
and Megan, hope your pup is doing better today too...!
that's a JMHO regarding closing out the live feed.
I doubt if it will always be necessary to do that....Steve will know.
God Bless NCTC and all their staff for making these things available to us!
TTFN xoxox ☺
Both in nest
Sometimes, if you close your live feed, and there are a lot of viewers, you can't get it back up. Yes, it would be a sacrifice...what to do, what to do??
DID ANYONE SEE A SWITCH???
JMO I think that is still Belle on the egg.
I didn't see a switch but I walked away for a moment.
Thanks, Lisa! I'll have to work with it a bit but it loks like this will work for me.
No switch. Just a quick visit.
I have to run errands so I'm closing live feed now so the ones who are staying can get less jerkiness.
Bye for now, Harbingerdc...come back again:)
**GOOD MORNING**
**EVERYONE**
We have our first egg of 2009!!
I was reading some of the comments from the early morning, trying to determine why she is setting in the nest. Nobody knew for sure.
But then I looked at the live feed again, Belle was in the act of turning her egg while facing the camera; and I saw the egg perfectly clearly!!
C(°Ù¿°)D
Jim
Hadn't considered that Wanda....
Good point....don't y'all pay attention to me....
I'm just going back to what was mentioned the other night about filling up the bandwidth or whatever that means.... ☺
I just know how to watch, that's about it...!
Back to pulling photographs together... ☺
