Besides the little hummers and the snow and moose, ZZ is putting on a real acrobatic display, rolling like a ball and chewing on her hind feet and stuff.

Moose bedding down in the snow - they love it! They can have it!
Paula, enjoy your Grandson, he will be grown up before you know it. It seems like just yesterday that I was running all over the house trying to keep up with them. They could NEVER outrun me, but they sure can now. They are 22, 20 and 13. Time flies by so quickly.
Being a Grandma is one of the most satisfying jobs I have ever had.

Yep, still there, Mema Jo. Looks like a good size White-tail doe.
I think California still has only Mule deer and a subspecies called Black-tail. White-tails have been moving West steadily as White Man changes the look of the land.

I was looking at Kent. It looks like the squirrel hole is still there. Anyone else see it?
Dana, I left a comment on the Kent forum - Let you know if anyone answers my question about the hole still being in the nest... Maybe Loraine will have a better view on her cams...
The herd of deer are still around the PixController cam....... I guess they may leave food out to draw them near the camera.
Still snowing on the moose who have bedded down by the feeders. I don't know how Pook gets those feeders up and filled with the moose staying there.
6:30 pm Mother hummer just fed chicks who are in the nest....

What's a fledge in hummingbirds?
I just saw the oldest one hovering a few inches off this side of the nest, but I didn't get a shot.

I think it's hovering again ... and coming down on the nest in the opposite direction ...but it's too dark to make out the details now.

Forgot how much energy a 2 year old has! We had chicken nuggets and french fries for dinner, fed the dogs, played with legos and cars, and watched the orangutans a little. Then it was time for bed. He wanted Mommy of course, but finally let me snuggle with him and he is zonked! Dog is on guard!
Oh, and Ice cream for a snack! :)
