Wind blowing eagle feathers at the nest.

Judie said...

Good afternoon.

Welcoming the sunshine on this first day of Spring. (:

Lynn2, do be extra careful driving and get the repair as soon as the part is available.

Kay, I second Shirley's suggestion. Take the extra money and put it in an interest-bearing savings account. Look into accounts other than banks such as credit unions which sometimes pay higher interest rates.

Jo, get that paperwork done so you can play with your critters.

Sandi, wonderful story about your mom. Makes me smile when I think of her and her house guest.

Sandi, Psyc 101: you are not responsible for someone else's actions. When you allow another person to affect you, that person has control over you. You do not have to forgive but you do not have to let another control your thoughts and emotions. End of lecture.

Congratulations on another feather, JudyE.

Hoda, sandperson is appreciative of the coat suggestion. Mumbling something about cold and snow bringing on brownie cravings. So, how are you adjusting to the big house?

Margy, I forget - when is your "vacation" over?

Headed across the hall to read more of my library book. Don't want to get a late fine. BBL

SANDI, so many of us have been in your shoes and certainly understand your cares and thoughts right now ! Not only in the loss of a dear, sweet Mother, but also in the realm of having someone who we just can't forgive. SHIRLEY, I'm comforted by the words of your counselor. I've never been able to forgive my 1st husband who I divorced after 28 years of marriage. Feelings are no longer raw, for it enabled me to go on to find "the love of my life" in Stan. I guess you'd say my feelings toward the man are flat, benign, and destined to stay that way.

SHIRLEY and JUDIE, Doh ! What didn't I think of the interest factor ? I'm calling the SS today ! Thank you !!!

Good examples here of just why this blog of precious people is so often a needed life line !

Kay said...

Whoa, JO, at first glance I thought you were headed for the Beauty Saloon ! Wondered what I might be missing in my daily routine ! ☺

Kay said...

Maybe it's time for me to get the peepers checked out !

Hoda said...

JUDIE this big fancy house does not come with a dish pan and a dish rack!!!
It is short on cup towels!
I had to resort to using the dishwasher!!!
Oh God I am mortified rather!
The dish soap is a little tablet in a plastic wrap.
I am to not unwrap it!
Oh God warning instructions that if eyes become irritated to go to the hospital!
I need to buy a dish pan, dish rack and tea towels for the fancy house!
Or find safer soap!
My cough is back and I think I suspect a few soaps and cleaning supplies. Will have to put them away!!!

I am enjoying the space in the fact that in the past week I have had eight different reading corners!
Power went out last night house stayed warm.
Cleaned snow off of beach chairs and deck.

It is a big responsibility!

stronghunter said...

"Flat and benign"--that is a good description of my feelings toward my ex, Kay. I do not wish him ill. I just do not think of him often one way or the other.

stronghunter said...

Oh, Hoda. I am amused by your aversion to the dishwasher.

stronghunter said...

Surely you can find safe soap. The extra hot water kills germs. Think about that.

paula eagleholic said...

Hoda, I am LOL about your dishwasher comments. Just put it in there and wash the dishes...Everything nowadays has to come with some sort of warning!!

but, If you would rather do them by hand, just some tea towels would work...lay them on the counter and just lay everything on them...

Kay said...

HODA, if you just can't adjust to that stinkin' modern day invention, just bring the rack, towels, etc. needed from your flat. I only have to run my dishwasher a couple of times a week---less than that if Seth doesn't stay here---, but due to the sanitation factor I prefer it to washing dishes by hand. My old hands take a beating due to frequent washing as a dog owner. At least I save them that much hot water n' soap wear n' tear.

Kay said...

LOL, HODA, I have to laugh at how dependably and quickly we gals all jump in to help where we deem it necessary ! ☺

Judie said...

Hoda, you are just too funny. Would you like me to send Jufie to remove the dishwasher to the secret hiding place from which nothing ever supposed to return?

First time I used a dishwasher, seemed my fingernails grew 3" overnight.

I do what Paula suggested. I just wash the frequently used items by hand, rinse, drain on a dishcloth, dry, put away.

What fun it is to share your adventures.

Nest is sunny. Looks like Belle is there.

Judie said...

Don't know if anyone watches Pete's Pond but me. Zoomie doing an amazing job of showing of the lightning fireworks over the village.

Hoda said...

Please do not mention any of my experiences about the dishwasher and cleaning supplies on FB as my friends read my page and they might read it as a criticism. It is not really it is just my ways and the ways of the big fancy house is different...I know gratitude for what is here. I have simpler ways that is all.
You make a good point about sanitation SHIRLEY. the volume of water used however shocks me...
I love us! Off to experience the wonders of my day...talk to you from the flat tonight.
Enjoy the day everyone.

Dishwasher story:

When we first moved to Columbus, we had a townhouse with a dishwasher (Williamsburg Square when it was brand new, Kay.)

We had a German shepherd named Ingrid. One night, I started the dishwasher and went upstairs to bed. We were kept awake by ferocious barking from Ingrid. When I went down to investigate, there was Ingrid protecting us from the square-headed "monster" in the dark growling in the kitchen. I had left the box of dishwasher detergent sitting on top of the machine. Putting it away stopped the barking.

Maybe it was that she agreed with Hoda . . . the detergent was dangerous.

Maybe she just wasn't used to the dishwasher.

Anyhow, I put the detergent away from then on, and we were spared. No more barking at the dishwasher.

stronghunter said...

Will have to check Pete's Pond, Judie. Have not been there for a long time. Thanks for sharing.

stronghunter said...

Considering the amount of water used by the dishwasher vs hand washing. I usually do not wash a load until the machine is full. Of course, at my house, that can amount to two loads a day. I would be hand-washing a heck of a lot of dishes.

Kay said...

SHIRLEY, the Ingrid story is hilarious ! She was The Great Protector !

The delete is mine--I hit publish with a blank box. Sometimes I get worried about myself !

Kay said...

True, SHIRLEY, less water used w/d.w. and also less used by taking a shower rather than sitting in a tub of "dirty" water". However, a nice full tub of bubbly warm water can be therapeutic now and then ! My kids all run their d.w. at least once a day, but then the newfangled machines are energy saving, so it's not very costly.

Kay said...

Oops, I made a confusing statement re:which uses more water and soap, d.w.machine or hand washing. I've read articles that support the theory I posted many times over the last few years. However, I feel sure that with this as any other controversial topic one can find support for either side of the issue. This piece dates back to 2005:

Green Dishwashing

Kay said...

And another thing, I rarely use any cycle other than regular and NEVER use the heated drying phase. Guess I'm working hard to convince myself that it's okay for the environmentally conscious to use modern appliances ! ☺

Judie said...

Came back to say that Big Red and Ezra have an egg. They have returned to the Cornell athletic field light tower. She looks pretty in the sunshine. Tucking flug in.

Good girl, Ingrid. That is also a funny story. I'm sure you still miss her.

Audrey and Grace run from sounds, even the door bell. All the Siamese were growlers - very protective.

Okay, going away for a bit.

paula eagleholic said...

Never minded having the dishwasher...very convenient with a house full, not so convenient when it's just me, or Larry and I. I do all my washing by hand now...no automatic dw at the beach. Only thing I really miss is the disposal!.

My dog Boo used to bark at the dishwasher because he could see his reflection in it, and thought there was another dog around :)

stronghunter said...

My dishwasher instructions advise against pre rinsing in order to save water. You learn from experience how far you can take that advice.

Sandi and Denny - have a safe journey back to Baltimore today.

I agree and am trying to do this for my children - Pay and plan ahead for funeral services and expenses before we pass. We had done that for Mom when she entered the nursing home...I
am so thankful everything was already taken care of when Mom passed. ♥

grannyblt said...

What I find interesting about the dishwasher discussion is the different way we name kitchen towels. My mother in law called them cup towels, my mom called them tea towels and I call them dish towels. I live alone and run dishwasher about every 4 or 5 days, but I could live without. I'm with Paula, I would rather have a disposer if I had to choose one.
I finally got my burst pipes fixed and a new washer and dryer to come next week. I am blessed that I don't have to endure the laundromat on a regular basis. My great grandmothers would be amazed at all of the modern day appliances
Spring may be here, but there have been snowflakes wandering around.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

My daddy said he had dishwashers. 3 boys and 3 girls. :) We don't have a dishwasher. The only time I have ever had one was when I lived in Bedford.

Kay said...

JO, LOL, word confusion that can lead to big trouble !

Solon=

1.c638–c558 b.c, Athenian statesman.
2. a wise lawgiver.
3.a town in N Ohio.

One can get in trouble due to lawgivers and no doubt in Solon, OH.. too !

Salon=

A place to gain hair and facial beauty.

One can get in trouble there when cut or color is icky poo !

Saloon=

A place to booze it up.
A place to pick up what you think is a beauty til' you wake up with in the morning with Witch Hazel or Frankenstein !

Honest, I only speak from experience with hair coloring. The first time I had my hair dyed due to some greys showing up, at about 40, my hair grabbed the color and the result was jarring jet black hair. The aim was warm brown with red highlights--what a shock. Had the same hairdresser for years and she did get it right after that. (SHIRLEY, that was in a Penzone Salon which you may recall was THE place to go in order to become a thing of beauty ! Still is, I guess, but I can't afford their prices anymore.)

Lolly said...

Hi all! Great walk on the beach this morn. Played in the tide pools and were successful finding sea life. So much fun.

SANDI, we do have you held close with love and prayer. Know how you are feeling, so very sorry !

Kay said...

I think I have everything in order and the 3 kids up to speed on my final arrangements. They know all the journalism W's except When and also know How I want things done. The When is up to the Good Lord.

LYNNE, so glad your pipes are fixed and the w/d is on the way ! I agree with you and PAULA, if someone said you have to get of the microwave, the dishwasher or the disposal, I'd throw the first two out in a flash. I hate stinky garbage !

Before the dishwashing talk fades away I just have to insert this joke into the mix:

Cold Water Washing

John went to visit his old grandfather in a secluded area of Georgia. After chatting all night John’s grandfather made a breakfast of bacon, eggs and toast. However, John noticed a film on his plate, and questioned his grandfather, "Are these plates clean?"

His grandfather replied, "They’re as clean as cold water can get them. Just finish your meal!"

For lunch John worried that the plates had dried egg and asked, "Are you sure these plates are clean?"

The old man said, "I told you those dishes are as clean as cold water can get them. Now I don’t want to hear any more about it!"

Later that afternoon, as John was leaving, his grandfather’s dog started to growl, not letting him pass. John yelled, "Grandfather, your dog won’t let me get to my car."

The old man shouted, "Coldwater, go lie down!"

Kay said...

SHAR, I have an old friend who grew up in a large family during in the pre-dishwasher era. She said a dirty dish was to be blamed on a poor dryer. "The one with the dish towel should be able to take care anything a dish washer leaves behind !"

paula eagleholic said...

Sandi, I do know how much it hurts. Sorry that you couldn't be there for the final goodbye. Holding you and your family in prayer.

Kay said...

Okay, I'm going to vent about today's Social Security experience.

1st call, opted to be called back as Mr. Automation said the wait would be 40 minutes if I just held on the line. Sure enough in about an hour someone called me back---we'd barely begun to talk when the line went dead.

I then went on line and jumped through hoops there only to find that I'd have to talk to someone personally to remove the Voluntary Withholding Tax from my account. So, on line, I asked for a call back. Within 2 minutes there was Marcy on the line, but when she heard what I wanted to do she said she'd put me in touch with a customer service rep who would take care of me right away. Ring, ring...."your call is important to us, please stay on line" blah, blah, blah for exactly 50 minutes of some awful nondescript tune and frequent announcements. Alicia came on the line and had me taken care of in about 2 minutes !

I will, once the request has been implemented, put the advice given by SHIRLEY and JUDIE, to use !

And, now I'm going to bid you all farewell for today, with the promise of love and prayers where needed.

Also dish soap with no chemicals.
Brought the laundry here to do as the laundry soap there has perfume and chemicals.

Will take cleaning supplies from here and put theirs in the garage till they come back and then put it in its place.

I had not been here for a week and all is well at my flat too.

We had 15 cms of snow do will be skiing the next few days. They will stop grooming the trails the end of the month! Might as well keep using them till then.

You are funny JUDIE!
No to JUFIE hiding fancy dishwasher and washer and dryer!!! I do not think I can afford to replace them!!!

It was a great day.......until the end.! We had fun on the beach exploring the tidal pools. Then we had a late breakfast and headed to town of Florence to take care of a few errands.

Did a little shopping for grand boy gifts and took a hike to a lighthouse.

Returned home and could not get in the trailer. Key would not work! It was getting late and we are far from a town. However, lady in the RV office knew a locksmith who has a business 15miles away but lives nearby. Called him and he closed his business 30 minutes early, so we only had to sit outside for an hour. He got it open( hoorah!). So. It was not the relaxing evening we wanted. But, dinner is over, hair washed, and laundry done!

We head for home in the morning. Taking a northern route home through Salt Lake City, Chyenne, and Denver.

Heading to bed soon. Nite all!

Good morning BESTEST EAGLE BUDS!

So much to do, so little time. Glad it's Friday, but you know for me that only means more time to do homework.

I have my pediatrics final on Tuesday and a huge test on diseases, illness, treatments, meds, surgeries, signs & symptoms of the heart on Wedesday.

My heart is broken. I don't think I'll be able to watch the nest this year. After years of having unlimited internet at home, I can NOT get it here, so I'm allotted 8 whatevers of data a month. Last month the overage was $60! I have to save all my time for school stuff. I can still get on the blog, but the video uses too much data. URGH! Makes me ill.

So, JUDYE, I'll really be looking forward to viewing your pictures! ♥

SANDI, I'm so sorry for all the pain you're going through right now. Prayers continue for your family.

JO, thanks so much for keeping us up-to-date. You're marvelous. And, yes, I know I'm still running behind in sending you a check. Please forgive me and send me your address again, and I'll include for both. ♥

HODA, would you please send me your current email address. I'm not sure if I have it.

Oh, I got a 96% on my Down Syndrome presentation, and an 89% (very hapapy with that) for my second case study that was 54 pages! Thanks so much for all your love and prayers.

One more question re:the key, LOLLY. Is is a duplicate key you had made somewhere or is it the original key you received ?

Heart is heavy and asking for prayer for my childhood friend, Shirley, who lives in Joplin. She lost her eldest child to lung cancer 15 months ago and now her middle child, Gary, 53, is in Baylor's Dallas Hospital, getting final tests before possible heart transplant. He's been clean living and healthy til' about 4 years ago when he started having heart attacks. "They" say it's genetic, but no know heart disease in his gene pool. Shirley lost a dear husband to Leukemia, two of three brothers too early due to accidents, then Diana. She says she thinks she'll lose her mind if Gary doesn't make it. She doesn't know how she'll have the strength to take anymore grief. She's had a couple of strokes and is blind, so she can't go to Dallas and add to the burden. Please add them your prayer list !

My prayers are with the Moore/Roberts family this evening as they welcome visitors to the Funeral Home.

Also praying for all in need.

Good early evening all

When I lived in Houston, the was a laundromat that served beer. Suds and Tubs I think it was called. Is that something like a saloon in the salon?

Returned home a while ago from a birding trip to Cleveland OH, which is a couple of hours away. An hour and a half out, we ran into a horrible snow event. Even the truckers were going 20 mph. You couldn't see more than a couple of car lengths ahead. We got off the turnpike ASAP. As soon as we headed north rather than west, it was over. The birding at the lakefront wasn't especially exciting as we hoped. And it was cold.

Thinking of Sandi and her family tonight and tomorrow

Hope the Roberts family will get some sleep tonight.

Ah, how about a salon with a saloon and a side of suds?

Margy, take it you are about to return to the workaday world? Hope all goes well.

Tired and plan to visit the pillows.

Night light is on. Sandperson is engaged in pre-travel wash & dry. Satchel already packed.

Restful sleep for all.

Kay, OMG, I don't know what to say....your poor Shirley! Prayes for her and her son.

Lynne1, I am so glad you made it through the snow! Sounds like my worst nightmare....

MARGY! I hope you got some pictures of the babies! Spring seem to be so long in coming but I realize that we need to get out for some walks so we can see these early signs.

Thinking of Sandi and family. The funeral home isn't that far from here, maybe 45 minutes. I want so badly to be there to give her a momster hug, but I just am too afraid to drive the car so far with the bad part. (((CyberHUGS)))

Good evening to all ♥

Kay - prayers for your friend Shirley - such sadness she has had in her life.

Have a good day at work tomorrow, Margy - don't over do ♥

Hoda - I sure hope they don't take away your TEA when you go to class about your sluggish liver... ☻

SHIRKEY, Rough spots on skin indicate liver sluggishness.
Joint stiffness indicate liver sluggishness
A shift in energy level indicates liver sluggishness!
It is the same like needing a cup of coffee to get the day started!

Good decision LYNNE!
Do not drive the car for any trip till the parts are fixed.
SANDI does not need to worry about your safety right now.

Good luck with returning to work MARGY.

Mema Jo said...

Lynne good luck with the weather on your next birding trip. I still have

I definitely need the cataract removed from my left eye and then after that in about 3 weeks have the one removed from my right eye...
I also have astigmatism - Need to decide on the type of lens replacement once the cataract is removed. One type of lens corrects the long distance vision and the other type of lens does that plus corrects the astigmatism. Cost would make the choice. I would still need reading glasses... :(
Ya just can't fix it all! I'll keep you posted on date of surgery.
I have a sit down on April 2 with the Surgical Coordinator... ♥

Mema Jo said...

Oh Hoda - your dr said your liver was well - Drink tea and be happy ♥

Hoda said...

OK JO on eye surgery.
Starting you in prayers right now and keep the faith.
Thank you for knowing we would like to know about surgery dates.

We have stopped for the night. La Grand, OR. Beautiful drive today up the Columbia river gorge. I kept my binoculars in my hand. Saw many hawks, a questionable nest, and possible two eagles. Hard to tell traveling 60 mph on an interstate!

Crossed the Blue Mts. Lots of snow on the ground. Beautiful scenery! Presently 39 and going down into the 20's. Shower early and then disconnect the hose.

Love seeing new territory! It was slow going this morning and we had to head north to get to I 84. Through Idaho tomorrow and on to Wyoming before heading south.

Going to say good night! SED!

Prayers for your friend Shirley and her family, Kay.

Love your flower descriptions, Margy.

I hear vision is so much better after cataract surgery, Jo. That will be something to look forward to.

Shirkey---sounds like she might shirk her duties. Don't know if she hangs out with Jufie. There are worse ways to misspell my name. Just don't replace the "r" with a "t." Then you would come up with a really nasty character.

Brain is wearing out. George has decided he should keep me awake at night. Finally shut him out of my room early this morning. Kathryn commented that she encountered him outside my closed bedroom door, and that he denied he'd done anything.

Sorry your team lost, Judie. I am sure they appreciate your enthusiastic support.

Good Morning Eagle Buds !!!

When you ask JUDIE to help the Sandman pack his satchel and get a move on it, you get service !

Went to sleep early and so am up early. Once I was awake and began to think about my dear friend, Joplin Shirley**, it was impossible to get back to sleep.

**(I have 3 dear Shirley's, 1 here, 1 in AZ and one in MO)

PAULA, sounds like you, your bro and son are making things happen in a hurry with E-burg house. Must be a great relief for you ! Hope Larry is faring well at his place this weekend !

HODA, is Serena curious as in "odd" or curious as in "nosy" ? In either case so nice of you to have tea with her !

JO, I had my cataract operations in 2006 and with much the same vision history you are experiencing. I didn't realize how much I was missing, even while wearing glasses full time, before the miraculous restoration of my eyesight. I only need glasses for close up reading---no longer have a restriction on the driver's license, etc.. I hope you're as happy with your results as I am with mine !

LYNNE1, whew, glad you made it home safely through that weather mess. Some 1st day of Spring, eh ? I didn't send it east from here--we basked in 62° sunshine !

Speaking of 1st day of Spring--do y'all recall that it used to be on the 21st, but has been on the 20th for several years now. My parents were married 78 years ago today and always loved that their anniversary was on the 1st DOS. Joplin Shirley's mother was born on this date, too, and reveled in birthdays on the 1st DOS. Wha' hoppened ?

LOLLY, thinking of you and JACK as you head away from the coast and into a part of the country with a whole other kind of beauty. Safe travel.

Well, typical of me, I've blathered on and on and on. Thanks for putting up with me ! BBL

These weeks really fly by me. The weather looks like it will make for a nice day. No special plans yet. We
still have some limbs to remove from that ice storm in our backyard - not many..well not as many as the next door neighbor's pine tree limbs. Our boys will accomplish that for us. I am not any good anymore for picking up sticks. lol

Today in Aiken, SC my grandson's wedding will be held. Later in the summer we will have a family gathering for them up here in MD.
My COPD is the reason I am not there today - breaks my heart - but they all know they are in my thoughts with love in my heart.

Kay said...

Oh, JO, so sorry you're missing out on the big wedding day, but you can shine at the reception slated for your area. So nice that the newly wedded couple are going to have that second celebration !

JUDYE, great video of you and Jordyn at the park--what fun ! I miss those playground days with young grands !

Thanks, HODA, for Spring info. I
researched change of 1st day of Spring. Long explanation gets in the the equinox, earth lining up with various heavenly bodies and the fact that it can occur on the 19th, 20th or 21st...in short:

Traditionally, we’ve celebrated the beginning of spring on March 21, but astronomers and calendar manufacturers alike now say that the spring season starts one day earlier, March 20, in all time zones in North America.

Read about the distress for many couples who deliberately chose the 21st aka 1st Day of Spring as their wedding day. Oh, well !

Prayers for MARGY in hopes both hands are up to par as she serves her community so honorably.

Thinking of SANDI as the hour of 11 approaches. May she find strength and blessings in the remembrance of her dear mother.

Kay said...

SHIRLEY, the thought your pastor shared regarding your Mother's "birthday" was touching. I took care of my sister and only sib throughout her long bout with cancer. She died on my birthday which hurt so much until Julie said, "Mama, it was her gift to you. She knew you were suffering along with her and needed the release as much as she did." It still adds a poignant ingredient to each of my birthdays.

Jo, congratulations to Michael and Christine. Don't have an email for him. Will send an ecard to yours. Please forward or share. Thank you. Congratulations on the marriage of your grandson. May they have a long journey together. You are with them in your heart. Agree you will be amazed a the improved vision post-cataract. You may not even recognize us.

Hoda, don't understand. I always thought tea is supposed to be beneficial. Drink your tea - Enjoy. Also, rough spots on the skin can be from sun damage - back when kids were told to go play in the sunshine. Same question as Kay about curious.

Kay said...

And, everybody say Amen. May the Moore/Roberts family have a good afternoon, filled with the knowledge that all is well with their beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Hi JUDIE !

Thanks to all of you who are holding Shirley and her son in thoughts and prayers. I don't think we'll hear anything until sometime next week, but will keep you updated.

Judie said...

Okay, who has been using Ancestry.com?

Seems Jufie is blaming Sandperson; Sandperson is blaming Jufie; both keep looking askance at me. A huge ruckus occurred in the hall closet last night.

Shirkey has a long and troubled past. This sudden reappearance has been traumatic. Sandperson has the vapors and Jufie is despondent. A nurse named Lori is in attendance.

Perhaps someday Shirkey's story can be told.

Hoda said...

Serena the lake house neighbour is curious in both the sense of being nosy and wanting to know what is going on and at the same time curious in the sense of being odd the same way as a British Matriarch.

Tea is good for us. for the purpose of this cleanse the caffeine is a stimulant that might interfere with the herbs. I do not have dry skin spots, but it is a symptom of liver sluggishness. Doing the cleanse is a good step towards health maintenance and there are several from one of my yoga class doing it with me. It is A OK!!!

Celebrating the wedding in your family JO and looking forward to pictures and reports. Also to the celebration when you can attend.

stronghunter said...

OOOOOH--Shirkey's story. I had hoped it was buried in that faraway place where dead appliances go . . .

Perhaps Shirkey is hidden somewhere in Judie's closet clutching an overdue library book. Library police will be knocking at the door. A book on blood spatter patterns, perhaps? Has one of your books disappeared recently, Judie?

stronghunter said...

Hoda, somehow I thought your tea of choice was herbal. I did not think there would be caffeine in herbal tea.

stronghunter said...

Or has the evil Shirkey been sprinkling caffeine in herbal teas in an effort to compromise the sandperson's sleepydust?

stronghunter said...

Hoping that Hunter has gotten all of his schoolwork finished. Kathryn hauled him off to her workplace today with his bookbag and some incomplete assignments that are to be finished prior to baseball practice.

Maybe I will head off to bowling practice.

Hoda said...

SHIRLEY, my morning tea is a black tea. My afternoon teas are usually herbal.I like a good black cup of tea. No tea bags and the anti oxidants are better in black loose leaf teas. Because the cleanse is a combination of herbs for the particular body type that I am mixing herbal teas with the cleanse herbs is not a good idea...

stronghunter said...

OK, Hoda. That is interesting.

I would not have known that someone has done a study of these things.

Judie said...

Uh oh. Came back but leaving immediately to try to locate all books from the library.

stronghunter said...

Mema Jo said...

I Can picture Judie rushing around her abode checking on her library books. Jufie sneaks them in the middle of the night into the closet and then forgets to return them to Judie's reading area. lol

stronghunter said...

Judie's closet must be pretty crowded with Jufie, Shirkey, and who knows what hiding there.

Back in my married days, my husband always wanted the closet doors tightly closed, because, he said, the orks were hiding in there. Judie might have something worse than orks in her closet.

Mema Jo said...

Judie I did forward your e-card to Mike. Great card - so appropriate.

Kay said...

Personally, I think Jufie is deliberately and diabolically hiding those books from Judie. An attempt to drive her into the poor house with overdue library fees and insane with worry. Now that Shirkey is on the loose and has teamed up with Jufie, watch out ! No one is safe !

stronghunter said...

Hmm, they could be in my garage. Anything could be there.

Mema Jo said...

Get Will to check it out, Shirley lol

Judie said...

THUD THUMP TUMBLE

Grumbling and grousing and curses on Shirkey

Had found all but one book and stacked them by the stairs. Went to look for the last book. Heard a great commotion at the stairs.

Jufie and Shirkey have absconded with my books. Well, all but one.

Shirley, would you ask Will to check your garage sometime and let me know if my books are there?

Meanwhile, I must check my wallet to make sure I can pay the overdue fines.

Not driving me insane but surely to a very, very large G&T. lol

Judie said...

Shirley, can understand about not bowling today. I remember that Friday nights and Saturdays were so busy with leagues, etc.
