♫♪♫ HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR SHAR, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU ♪♪♥♫

Thanks to STEVE for reThreading us and to MARGY for calling us over as she placed another feather in her cap !

LOLLY, you are well on your way to Flagstaff by now ! Are you stopping over at any of the magnificent National Parks AZ has to offer---Petrified Forest, Painted Desert, The Grand Canyon ? Love my 'Home State' and would love to be riding along with you and JACK !

MARGY, did you get some phys. or occp. therapy after the last carpal tunnel ? If so, do you expect that this time ? Always a happy day when stitches come out !

Sunshine, glorious sunshine and up to 37° now. The thaw is well on it's way ! Yeah ! Penny has been delighted with the two walks we've been able to take today.

Julie just called. She's seeing a tax preparer half way twixt our two houses and she doesn't teach on Thursdays. So, she'll be here for a visit after the taxing event. Always love our mother-daughter time !

Oh, and LOLLY, I know you're greatly relieved to find that Laurel is on the mend ! We mothers all understand the worries that don't end just because our kids grow up.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHARON!
THANKS STEVE FOR THE NEW THREAD

JUDIE: please, I hope I did not offend you! I appreciate your input....and I wish it were something I hadn't tried... I am open to just about anything to motivate and get this kid where she needs to be! I apologize if I came across snarky or rude!!! I didn't mean to be so.

Beautiful sunny day, warmer...nice.

HOWEVER: went downstairs to check on Ashley only to find the heat not working down stairs! I double checked....nope. I turned the infrared heater on and called Tom. Ugh. I hope it is something we can fix....but it sure isn't kicking on. This unit is older than the other...so I am concerned...

Tonight is our vegetarian meal. We are trying this one night a week. I have made garden pasta and have a loaf of bread in the bread maker. Olivia is not a fan of this, but its fun to try something new.

Maybe it will have a positive impact on her at some point???????

Well school was back in session today. They will have their first make up day March 17.

I opted at work to take on a few extra shifts. I was planning on taking ten days off, the 21st thru the 31st and we were going to Va Beach to see the gal pals, BUT, if this heater is kaput......we shall see.

Gotta take the kid skating. Later gaters! ((((hugs))))

Have a great evening all. Off to celebrate 12 year anniversary!

Judie said...

Stopping by on the way to the scullery.

Janet, I was not in any way offended. Just the opposite as I thought I might have offended you.

Looks as if Shep might be tending the eggberts. Raining at the GA nest.

Tonight's menu: shrimp and grits with salad. Yep, feeling some better.

Later.

Kay said...

LOLLY, the Grand Canyon is my favorite spot in this country--I could not get that close without going there--but do understand your need to push forward. By now you're well into CA. Hope you find a beautiful spot in which to bed down for the night, though with the time difference you aren't ready for that yet!

JANET, hope that heating problem turns out to be simple and cheap to fix ! I'm kinda the opposite from what your family is attempting in that most of my meals are meatless and I might have "real" meat once a week. Even that is usually chicken, turkey or fish. Can't remember the last time I bought beef or pork. Once in a blue moon I crave a good steak or hamburger and satisfy that need during a meal out with someone.

JO, I'm sure you feel better with that nice fresh haircut ! Lookin' good !

JUDIE, so glad you're up and about, but realize you're going to have to take it easy for a few more days !

The time with Julie was grand and she took Penny for a nice brisk walk---the kind of walk she doesn't get with me. She also hauled my trash to the dumpster. Spoils me rotten ! After she left we took a nice nap. A perfect day !

Kay said...

Time to fix my chef salad and head for the TV room. I suspect there will be no Doc Martin for me tonight as the PBS station is fund raising. I know the need, but hate the process and most of the old, old programs they run whilst they beg for donations. I'll probably end the day with the good book I'm reading--"Instructions for a Heatwave" by Maggie O'Farrel. A British family saga with strong Irish overtones. Lots of intrigue.

Love and prayers for all in need.

JUDYE, have you any update on the little preemie boy ?

Checked out some TV and there really isn't anything that interests me. I need some jigsaw puzzles.

Will return later - dinner time

Evening all. I see eagle rearranging fluff.

Kay, I'm a big Doc Martin fan. I'm lucky enough to get two PBS stations and one of them has it on
Saturday night. The other station has it sporadically on
Thurs.

I went to a woman's club meeting this afternoon that normally begins at 130. As I was on the tea committe, I got there at noon to help set up. By 1245, nearly everyone was there. We think everyone must have been sick of being housebound with the weather so they came very early. And most lingered afterwards too.

My birding neighbor and I plan to go to
Dunkirk Harbor NY tomorrow to check for ducks. We may even go on up to Niagara Falls to maybe see the falls partially frozen. And also bird the Niagara River.

SED to all.

Judie said...

Dinner over.

Happy anniversary CarolAnne. I meant to say so earlier but lost my thoughts somewhere between the computer and the scullery. Hope you've had a wonderful evening.

Shirley, do I detect a ploy on Hunter's part to acquire more expensive pairs of socks? lol Hope you've had a nice dinner.

Lynne, have a wonderful birding day tomorrow. Full report, please and thank you.

Ah, leave it to Hoda to find some exciting and interesting man out on the ski trail. You go girl!

Janet, hope the heating problem is not too serious and easily repaired.

Okay, off to channel surf. BBL

CAROL ANNE HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

JUDIE: so glad I didn't offend you. Emotions are difficult to read via text only.

KAY: we are eating more chicken lately....but the no meat meals are completely new and fun.

LYNNE: thanks. I do hope the lightbulb kicks in in several ways...but with the teenage years beginning in a couple of months....

Lots going on tonight. The heater/ac guy will be here tomorrow. If we have to put in a new unit we may have to put off the RV. Sigh. Not sure. We have only signed papers that we agree to the deal we put together. We are scheduled to close on Saturday morning. Not sure at this moment what will happen.....

Everything for a reason, right?

Looks like Shepherdstown will not get the worst of the weather.

Looks like we might get freezing rain and sleet tonight and tomorrow. Hunter came home from school saying that he thinks he might not have school tomorrow. Oh good grief!

stronghunter said...

Judy, I am going to say that I have a feeling Jordyn is better supplied with pictures of all of her "firsts" than anyone else in the class. She has one picture-taking grandma.

Judie, I think Hunter just really likes those socks. Pretty soon, he should be able to set them on the floor and they will stand up by themselves. At the rate he is going, they will be worn out soon. I think I will check the on-line availability tomorrow.

All is good here and at work. Cannot wait for spring .

My brother Steve is going to rent out my house in Emmitsburg . He is excited...has a new car and got his license back. He has stopped drinking. Miracles never cease to exist. He is looking forward to finding a job and getting a dog. :-)

So very sorry about John and AJay. Was so hoping that they could work it out. So rough on the kids. Will keep them in prayer.

Fell asleep watching TV and missed most of the program I was attempting to watch. This booth around the table makes a good bed. LOL I am ready for bed and although it is only 9:40 here I think I am going to bed.

Night all! SED!!!

I join MARGY in putting AJAY and JOHN on the prayer list.
The rest of your news is encouraging PAULA. Blessed Be.

Good night all

Goodorming my eagle friends.

Paula, good news about Larry driving and eating better - one day at a time. I wondered what you would be doing with your other house - good solution for you and your brother. Sad to hear that things aren't working out for John and Ajay.

Kay, I hope Penny is back to her frisky self!

Things are still tense with Mom and my sister. For the record, Mom has never been mean and nasty to me and I don't think she's capable of being mean and nasty to anyone. I DO think she's angry with Lisa and is letting that show. They really need a break from one another - hope a weekend is long enough. I may have to take a Friday and Monday off from work to spend a longer amount of time with Mom - we'll see.

Not seeing much improvement with Bandit's leg yet - MTBR.

Have a great day all - will check in from Mom's this evening.

Thanks for all the anniversary wishes. Our first marriages were 23 yrs (mine) & 17 yrs. Kids in the first marriages, none in this one. Just the two of us & the dogs & cats. Life is different but still fulfilling.

Enjoy your day

Good Morning All,
I am reading through some of the comments trying to catch up on names and stories.
LOLLY ~ sounds like an awesome adventure and hope to travel across the US on day myself.
MARGY ~ best of luck with those stitches today.
CarolAnne ~ I had a hysterectomy a couple years ago and had to bring BP down, lose weight... it was all so worth it. Made recovery much easier. Good Luck.
LYNNE1 ~ sounds like a great day you have planned. Please get pics if you go to the frozen Niagra Falls
SHIRLEY ~ I just can’t imagine the sock thing. My son Dustin can barely get thru one day with a pair of socks. LOL
JUDIE ~ haven’t figured out why, but hope you are better everyday
JUDYE ~ thank you for the warm intro
JANET ~ hold tight to that phone, they can be a lifeline to some of us LOL Good luck with your new RV
PAULA ~ hope the kids can work things out. Communication is a big thing lacking nowadays .
JO ~ I’m sure your new haircut is beautiful and more comfy
SANDI ~ Hope things are well with your Momma Drama with Lisa
HODA ~ I hope that your test results come back with good news
LYNNEDUH ~ Thanks for sharing your sighting of Daddy =)
KAY ~ Any stories that Mother has shared about our family /gatherings, is at least in half the words my father would have used. He was a talker.
SHAR ~ Hope your birthday was perfect
WOW, I hope that I didn’t miss anyone, If so, I’ll catch up soon. Have a great day!!

Good morning,

I cannot get the live cam feed right now. Tried refreshing. No luck.

Delayed opening this morning for Hunter. I found the socks and they are in the washer.

Something to consider: If you can locate your socks by smell, you should not wear them. :)

We have had a minor dusting of some kind of winter precipitation. I don't think there is going to be any issue with school.
