Well, that was fun....NOT
My computer automatically upgraded IE to version 9....which was fine, until I tried to view the nest in IE,,,,it was not happening!
I uninstalled IE 9 and am back to using IE 8...very easy to do...if it happens to you, let me know and I'll give you the website that has very simple instructions to follow.
The nest has been totally quiet except for the sound of a few jet planes like right now
Reminder we are under a High Wind Advisory for Friday....
things will probably be noisy and queazy-making at the nest

Well, I got to talk to Lynne2 today!!
When I went to the beach last weekend, I met up with Sandy and her hubby, for all of 5 minutes in Salisbury, and got Linda's broken computer....I found a hard drive at work and installed it. The computer is up and running, and I am going to deliver it to Lynne and Steve on Sunday!
I am bringing Nick so he and Daisy can go run in the field! I'll be seeing them around 12-1 on Sunday! Yay!!

okay, back to a few things I was doing....my foot is on the brake again...
Speaking of Columbus bird cams, some of you may recall my delight when a Highbanks Metro Park ranger told me we'd soon have a camera on our Eagle Nest. That was last June and there still is no word on it. Nor is there any update on whether or not the eagles have returned this season. That nest is only about 5 miles north of me, but impossible to see without a very long walk and binoculars. I'm still hopeful, but guessing money is the problem.

PAULA, just to clarify, the non-working computer was mine, not Linda's! Nevertheless, I'm glad you were able to find a hard drive that worked with it and that you were able to reinstall Windows and the drivers and get it up and running!! Thanks for all your hard work and thanks also for agreeing to get the computer to Lynne and Steve. It will be great to "see" Lynne back on the blog on a regular basis, maybe as early as Sunday afternoon or evening!!
MARGY, thanks for the Red Friday reminder. I have a couple of appts. tomorrow and will have to rethink my clothing choice. Have to have blood drawn for the orthopedic specialist. The MRI shows fluid around a couple of lower back disks and the spine--may just be water leakage from the squished discs, but have to be sure it isn't infection. Still seeking answer: will it be steroid injections or surgery. Meantime I came home today with a TENS Unit and 2 Rx's for pain. Feeling better already ! Will see her again on March 13th. Thanks to all who have been praying for my tired ol' back n' hip !

It's wonderful that Lynne knows her computer woes are just about to come to an end and I'm sure she's delighted !
SUSAN, PAULA and I agreed not to say anything about the computer on the blog unless Paula got it running again, but now that she has, and has called Lynne to say she's going to take it to her on Sunday, we figured the rest of the group might want to know that Lynne will be back online with us next week!

MARGY, a TENS unit is a pain control system--Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation--it delivers electrical impulses through the skin deep into the nerves. Unlike drugs, ointments, etc. it has no side effects. In my case I place a special pad over the lower back and plug it into a small electronic device. It's a mini-massage machine ! It has a belt hook and can be worn as much as one wishes. My sister had one years ago after an auto accident, but it was a big ol' son of a gun that was not portable and could only be used at home. Medical advances and miracles. We live in good times !

Kay, I have a TENS at home and love it!! Don't use it often but it is surely just the fix when ya need a tweak.

The Tens Unit is mine to keep, pending agreement by the insurance co. to cover the cost. If they say no, I can either return it or opt to pay for it over a long period of time. It costs $795, but of course Aetna will not pay that much and the tech at the ortho office says "you would not be charged that much either". Another example of the mess we have when it comes to medicine and medical equipment costs. Why can't the TENS company just price it right in the first place. Grrrrr. It comes with a bunch of varying sized pads and cords and can be used on shoulders, arms, legs, etc., so think it's a keeper. The older I get Ol' Arthur Ritis seems to be spending way too much time visiting me !
PAULA maybe Linda happened because you and SANDI and SANDI'S HUBBY met in Salisbury and LINDA's last name is SALSBERRY...easy mistake to make...LOL

Susan, we met in Salisbury, MD, on the Eastern Shore of MD.
PAULA, the hip pain is due to Bursitis and hamstring tears, but both of those may be a result of this disc degeneration. Gradually I began to tilt a bit forward and to the right, putting great strain on that hip and glut area. I didn't even notice it was happening, but the family did. First thing an old friend said to me when we ran into each other late last summer was, "why are you limping". I hadn't realized I was as it came on gradually and just became a part of me. :( Anyway those two maladies just have to heal pretty much on their own, but the pain killers and TENS will helpful there, too. She says, no exercise til' we get this figured out. I miss my walks !!!! Poor PAULA, ask a simple question and I write a novelette !

Back from tubbing - guess that makes MARGY cleaner than me! Anyway, KAY I'm intrigued by this TENS unit - never heard of such a thing! My mom has nerve damage in her lower back that causes terrible spasms and then her legs go numb! Wonder if this would help her?? Was it an orthopedist (sp?) that recommended it to you? I am going to mention something to my mom about it!! Sounds wonderful!

Hey guys I don't know if this is something Steve has to do since it is his blog but I found a fix to our 200 and he would have to do it I think we all have the same options but we all don't have the problem it is his blog so it would be his issue maybe Paula or JO or anyone else can send him this it looks easy I went and poked around but I didn't change anything on mine What could it hurt I Google it and found it this is the link to the page go down to #1 and check out how easy it looks I wouldn't click on download though I think its just something that needs fixed in his dashboard like the instructions say check it out before it is mentioned May fix out issue

"TENS"...I believe that is what is used on my leg/knee after my therapy is done for the day.
At first, it is very cold, then they turn it on and the sensation is described as 'having ants crawling on you and pinching a bit.
Instructer told me it would help with the swelling...it is kind of a neat feeling:)

LOLLY it was a beautiful creature...of all the times I have driven and walked on that road I had never seen it...One article says it was shot on Sunday not Monday, I walked there on Sunday!!!My thinking is they should have tranquilized it and relocated it...we do that with bears...a bear in Nelson is allowed one free helicopter ride...if it returns they destroy it...they should have done the same with this cougar...Sad!!!

Belle is up digs in the cup and is now facing six on to five and continues to dig in the cup. Turns to noon and continues to dig finally settles in. right wing is more open than left wing as more of the white shows on her tail feathers on the right side.

DMO, we live about 4 blocks from the ocean on the canals, but the sound really carries. Plus, it's such a small town in the off-season, so it's VERY quiet at night. When we decided to buy a lot back in 1992, I wanted ocean block, but all we would have been able to afford was a lot. We decided a house might be nice as well, so I had to settle for being farther away from the ocean. Still, I ride my bike to the beach all summer - I don't mind being a few blocks away.
Sounds lovely Sandi. I have picked out a house in Naples FL and I keep telling Monte that is my dream location. We went to Marco Island several years ago and just loved it there. Recently I really have been talking alot about being able to move somewhere warm year round and that's the place I picked ☺ I've actually got Monte convinced! He said we should make a plan and work towards it. I would actually love to keep my house here and winter in the south and be a true snowbird. I love my house here, we've been in the house almost 14 years and slowly but surely it's become everything I could ever ask for, so in reality I'm very happy and content with it. I love to hear the ocean and that is one thing I love about camping! I can have my camper right near the beach and listen to that sound (not at Ocean City though).

Rough day for Tori, she has been moving along nicely and today she just seemed depressed. She wants to get up and she just doesn't realize how bad it was and she is doing remarkable. I guess she just needed to rest today, tomorrow beings new steps after a good nights sleep.
I kissed her forehead, she blinked and fell back asleep. :)
