I'm giving up on seeing a switch. It will be interesting to see if the Early Birds find Shep still there in the a.m.. I may or may not be amongst them.

I, too, loved the SCHOOL HOUSE use of the claw foot bathtub. One school in the West and one in the East...on the school itinerary or just coinsidence that two schools so far apart would do the same project? Nevertheless, adorable idea! Bubble gum machine was a terrific idea. I would love to know how much LEARNING picked up with those two ideas. Wonder if we could find a tub for DANAMO?
Hmm...have they ever both been in the nest at the same time at night? Crazy question probably, but it just crossed my mind.

He is grilling chicken and I am steaming veggies and reheating the risotto. Made three cheese risotto Tues. and still have some left over.☺

I don't ever recall LIB egg sitting on the Night Shift.
There have been, in years past, reports of a GH Owl on the NCTC premises. Could be what Belle and Shep are fussing about. GHOwls are a force to contend with at other nests. They have never taken one of our eggs (knock on wood)!
Whatever the intrusion in the nest space, Belle is not having it. Such a good momma, and Shep is hanging tight.

Wanda, an owl makes sense... early this morning and now after dark.
Wanda, the tub was just my own wish. I had an administrator friend who also rehabbed and rented houses in Ft. Worth. He found the tub for me. It was a mess on the outside and the interior really had to be scrubbed but was happy to find it in great condition. When I retired I gave the tub to Laurel who had it two years in her 2nd grade classroom. When she moved to 6th I gave it to my school who put it in the library. They put a sign above it saying it was a gift from me.☺

I'm back - have been trying to fix a problem with the new laptop not playing nicely with the old printer - GRRR! Haven't fixed it but kept hearing emails arriving in my inbox and thought something must be up at the nest. Have read back thru the posts now - what the heck is going on with our eagles? Shep seems content to stay there as long as necessary.

I thought for a minute Belle flew away and was calling as she flew away, but then she continued to call from the attic and the camera was rattling, so I guess it could have been another eagle.

Good Evening Eagle Buds!
Just had a Panda Nap! We went to eye Dr. in PM, stopped on way home for pizza and other goodies at Ledo's. I stayed in car so no one called me Lowreedo! Munched out at home and konked in lounge chairs! I finally graduated~~~was told I don't have to have glasses listed on driver's license anymore!
I have a lot of reading to do!

If the threat is/was another eagle, my guess is another female, since Belle is doing the defending and Shep is manning the home front. But, don't eagles roost at night rather than fly? So, maybe an owl? Who knows ... I just want it to stay quiet!! And, if it's not asking too much, I'd also like Belle to hop back down into the nest and relieve Shep.
