I have a old feeder but it is too yuky I had it in the yard to feed the other cats and now it is just yuky nasty I don't think it would even clean up good I stopped feeding the cats outside when I was told it was against the law and they could give me a ticket and just never brought the feeder in
Annie used to follow me there, no more. However, when I sit down to do my hair, here she comes. I think that is mainly for me to be a step to the sink. She likes to drink running water. She is doing that less, though. She sleeps most of the time, but guess she has earned it. She will be 18 in June. She has gained a pound recently, eats vigorously, drinks even more so, and goes through kitty litter like you would not believe. What does that vet know!! LOL
JUDYE We have the water fountain for our cats. The one that was originally a stray (from Humane Soc.) would always jump up on counter when faucet was on. Figured out she preferred running water. Other cat chooses to share dogs water dish. Everyone has their own feeding dish.
I am ready to leave for the doctors in half an hour. Last night I spoke to my phone and asked it to remind me to leave at 12:30. She said she would. LOL We named our GPS "Bossy". I think I need to name my friend on my phone. LOL I love technology! If I ever say I am too old to learn......shoot me please.☺ I
LOLLY WOW 18 that is great I saw the fountain at the Vets the day I got the cats I was thinking about it definetly got to do something besides this bowl it was empty when I got home the other day I have two bowls of food out trying to show them their own Thats not working yet maybe in time they both try to eat out of the same bowl for now Until I put wet food down then they get their own plate they scarf that up big time LINDA It was a friend of hers that Pete
Did I tell you the basement is being waterproofed, today? They are down there jackhammering at the moment...well since early this morning they've been at it. It looks like the waterproofers won't be able to finish today, so they'll be back tomorrow. Oh goodie! :( Dalai is running around barking her head off everytime they start up again or one of them walks across the deck. This could be a very long afternoon.
Judy and C/A, do not have the fountain dish. I am sure Annie would like it. Judy, 1 1/2 years ago we decided NOT to treat Annie after being diagnosed with a disease. Giving her meds was changing her personality as well as making all parties concerned very unhappy. We chose quality of life over quantity. She has continued to thrive.
JudyE, Darth and I have the two Bombay cats. Neither sleep on the bed although this is a first with cat history -- all priors have been under the cover snuggle types. However, these are rescues so their history may be an influence.
Got my "do" did and am now about to finish a book on homicide to look for tidbits for class and exams.
Anxious to hear from Lynn.
Belle is looking very pretty just a few minutes ago.
Thanks guys. Paula, they're actually taking out the existing sump pump and putting in two new larger pumps...but they have to lay tons of rock and pipe between the two and all around the outside wall to keep it from seeping in again. It's a common, but expensive, problem. Urgh!
JUDIE thanks for clearing up the Bombay cats I didn't remember who had them Mine are rescue cats also one is from SPCA although I got them at the vets they both were strays Waiting on the cable phone man on time appt 2-4 Jordyn is still down for a nap Angies said she got up 5:25 early bird for sure no wonder she was ready for a nap at 1130 fell asleep on the way home from Chick Fil A
Just on the news you know me a news freak Hersey Kisses the new air one cost the same as a reg bag of kisses less weight less calories less fat but same price Who is ripping us off Hershey will not comment 328 12 oz for regular kisses and 328 for 9 oz of air kisses HMM
Oh LINDA, I'm so glad you have OPIE! I love that name for him. I know your Opie has a great home! I call this guy Mackie...he is just like his older brother Parker, a caretaker of everyone though he is the baby.
SHARON, God love you for spending so much time with NILA and taking care of her needs. You are a great friend. Please give her a ((hug)) from the Momsters.
Back from the doctor. All is well and I go back next Wed. He says the red is just a matter of whether they nick a vein or not, no big deal. Well...it is NOT his eye! The shield is now off except at night, as long as I have my glasses on....something to protect the eye. Still dilated and a little swollen and both affect my eyesight.
Annie was a tiny kitten that was dumped at our place on a wet August morn. We just guessed at her age...born sometime in June as she was about 6 or 7 weeks old. She had fleas, ear mites, worms and was the scragliest thing you ever saw. She was also very vocal. Jack was trying to leave for work but couldn't as she would follow him to his truck. Then Laurel had to leave for work. Then I had to leave. Took her to a neighbor who kittysat all day with her in a shoe box. That night she fell asleep on Jack's chest. That did it! Next day she went to the vet for treatments.
Also, Misty, our kitty, accepted her. Annie is not a nice kitty, in that she never learned not to bite. Also, she is definitely a 2 person cat as only Jack and I can hold and pet her and only on her terms. Laurel says she is evil as Laurel is a cat person and Annie has never liked her. LOL Makes a person wonder about her treatment before she was dumped on us. And, here we are 18 years later. Hard to believe. She is the first cat we ever had that was not Siamese. My next kitty will be Siamese , or so I hope.
Remember the momster (from Maine??) who had Ragdoll cats? Now, that I would really like, but do not plan to lay out $$$.
Do NOT worry about the bloodshot look the day after...you had a serious surgery, the laser's speed and precision makes it seem less serious than it is (was a few years ago).
DO TAKE THE EYE DROPS 3-4 times a day. They have antibiotics and anti-inflammatory meds in them.
I'm sure the bloodshot look will decrease before long and your eye will see more clearly as it recovers and the swelling decreases. You'll be back among the happy sighted people in practically no time. God bless you.
Being something of a procrastinator ... that's after an extended period of doubting there's actually anything wrong ... my cataracts were way overripe, and I was past legally blind and getting closer and closer to actually too blind to take care of myself.
So, Lolly, it has been like a real miracle to get those dark brown lenses replaced. I can see as well as I could several decades ago, and both eyes are still improving a bit each day. It's a miracle on both of mine, so hang in there; it'll probably be a lot better for you too.
Jim, I had the first eye done 4 years ago. I would sit here and with the left eye covered could read the small print of the TV. With my right eye covered, boy was it blurry. So, I know my poor rt eye has been doing all the work. Can hardly wait to see how it will be.
Oh, LOLLY, that is an avatar that warms my heart ! Love yellow daffodils. Am happy with your doc report. Just a few more days and all will be well with your eyes !
Hoped to hear LYNN is back and all is well with her, but I see we're still waiting.
SHARON, hope BEV gets that transfer and the answers so badly needed ! Praying ♥ !
Well Jordyn is runing around and has finally gotten use to the cats Yesterdays all she wanted to do is sit on the couch and when they came near her she had the panic look NO Panic look today
What a swell papa Shep is turning out to be, another thing that warms the cockles of my heart !
My MRI results are in. Yes, I do have bursitis as per origninal diagnosis and treatment. In addition, I have "hamstring tears, upper leg and into the glut"--no way of knowing how I got that and the hope is twill' heal on it's on. Unfortunately there are "back issues with abnoralities in the spine" and I will see the back specialist on Feb. 23. Meantime, no exercises that hurt and continue with the icing and Tylenol. So, some things yet to be revealed. Keep me on the prayer list, please ! I♥U for helping me through the rough times.
LOL, LORI, I not only crashed early last night, but I stayed in bed late today. Just can't bear to get up and move around when I find a comfortable position.
Thanks again for remembering Julie in prayer. She has the "day after syndrome", but feels recoup is going well.
Decided to move around a little and missed the action.
Laurel and Jacob are coming tomorrow afternoon. Joey and Joseph are off on a trip to visit a cousin of Joey's, so Laurel and Jacob are coming here for the night. Yea! Oh, and granddog, Bosco is coming too.
Well, that was a flurry of tree and next activity. It would be grand to see another egg within the next 24 hours. Sounded like they were working on it !
Speaking of family...I will get to see mine tonight! Haven't seen Jayden for 3 weeks...so excited. I am READY now for excitement and a bit of partying:) Therapist said NO COOKING FOR A LARGE GROUP. KFC, here we come:)
Have been catching up on the blog and watching Belle tuck the flugg in all around her like a blanket. Radar shows the bad weather getting close to the nest - I'm sure she "knows" something is coming (can sense the change in the barometric pressure) and is preparing for it? CL
I posted pictures on fb of Jacob, Laurel went with him last night to open house. He had a great picture which he had drawn. And, he wrote..When I grow up I want to be a teacher because I am smart. I will need potions. I will need goggles. I will need white coats. (LOL He wants to be a science teacher!) It is great that he knows he is smart!! So proud of him. I love the potions! Where did he learn that?
Notifications Diet ginger ale Tori's feed tube was changed this morning to a smaller one but it is blocked, first Melissa tried enzymes to break anything blocking the tube up and is now attempting diet ginger ale, interesting huh.
PT was here and worked on Tori's legs and feet to help keep her strong for the day she stands up to start walking.
RT was in and put Tori back on support and is breathing over the vent building her chest muscles again.
Not too sure what the RT was doing on Tori, but maybe when Lynn comes back she will help us understand. Either way, it is helping to build up her chest muscles for breathing.
LOLLY, you know, even when we all hated Shep, even when Belle hated him, he showed a tenacity that has to be admired. He fought for his mate, he fought for this nest, he has shown himself to be a good provider. He iss one fine eagle!
They said earlier that Tori's chest muscles were hurting. Maybe they hurt so bad they needed to go back on support and give her muscles more time to build back up.
Yes, he is proving himself. Funny how we all needed for him to do that. I am feeling more confident that he will prove himself when the chicks hatch and be a good provider.
Now to tend to Boom. He has a big big scratch on his hind leg. Not sure what he tangled with in the yard. It wasn't there this morning so it happened when he went out during the day. Probably won't say anything to Andrew because he will feel bad and it's not his fault. They go out by themselves all the time.
Wanda - your evening of family fun sounds great. Are you bringing in KFC or going over to it? No High Kicking of down on the knees pushing trucks and cars! lol
Wow, Belle did a number on that fish dinner in a hurry. Looks like there are some nestovers for one of them to work on later, but it in no way resembles the fish it was a few minutes ago ! Sorry fishy, but we appreciate your part in nuturing our mommy.
Is that fish scales in the nest the white stuff??????????? Going to Angies tonight for dinner since didn't go last nite they had tax appt Don't really like to go on a work nite Hope you have a good time WANDA
Wanda should just sit and take pictues for all of us to see. KFC sounds good to me. Jack is grilling pork chops for us tonight and is grilling steaks tomorrow night with Laurel here. They will like that!
Hoda, Jack did not cook breakfast for me today. Back to routine of granola cereal with raisins. a banana and a soft boiled egg. Maybe I will get breakfast again Sunday morning with Laurel here. hee hee!
I seem to recall that, when I asked who Tori was and what was wrong with her, someone said she had interstitial lung disease, yes? A very dear friend of mine lost her husband to that - he was a fire fighter before they wore the protective masks that they wear now. I recall Mary Lou saying that Tony's lung tissue thickened as the disease progressed, so he was unable to inhale and exhale like he should. So, Tori would not have been using the muscles in her chest area. Now that she has healthy lungs, it makes sense that those muscles she hasn't been using for a long time, would be sore b/c they are being asked to do more work than they've been used to doing.
JO - Thanks. I knew it was Respiratory Therapy, but didn't understand the way Robyn explained what they were doing.
SANDI - I just lost my Mom who had a form of interstitial lung disease. Hers was called pulmonary fibrosis. It was really tough on her and the nursing staff said it was like having fibrous material in your lungs - kind of like honeycombs. She was on oxygen 24/7 for the last four years of her life and died just shy of her 76th birthday. It literally wore her out.
LINDA, "honeycombs" is the exact word I recall Mary Lou using when she described what was happening with Tony. Your mother died around the time that I joined the blog and was just getting to "know" people here.
Getting ready to take Hunter to the doctor's office. He fell down the stairs awhile ago and now his toe is swollen and bleeding at the bottom of his toenail. He is in my recliner at the moment playing a computer game. I am waiting for Kathryn to come home because I don't think it is going to be so easy to get Hunter to the car. Might take both of us.
Also discovered that the icemaker in my refrigerator ate a plastic bag. It stopped working for awhile, and I removed pieces of baggie with a pair of scissors. Now it is spitting out ice cubes and bits of baggie. I found some baggie bits floating in my Pepsi just now. Could be worse.
And, the computer guy came and replaced the motherboard, but that did not fix my computer. However, he will return next week with more new parts. Maybe I will have a mostly new computer by the time he is finished. He uses a model airplane propeller to pry off the parts of the computer, so we got into a conversation about remote-controlled airplanes, something Rus is very interested in.
SHIRLEY, how many stairs did Hunter fall down? Poor guy, usually not much that can be done with toes - ice maybe? At least he didn't injure his fingers and/or thumbs - God forbid that he wouldn't be able to work the remote controller on his games!! =) Seriously, hope it's nothing major! Good luck!
Hi, Everyone, Shirley, sorry to hear that Hunter fell and hurt his toe--that must be very painful! Hope all goes well at the doctor's. Prayers!
Have been busy today. Have almost all the weekly grossery shopping done.
Miss Emma is begging for a lap to sit in right now, so guess I'll provide one for her. Will be back here later tonight, after dinner. Prayers for all who are in need of healing! Later, alligators...:o]
He says that he fell from the second to the top step. He fell all the way to the bottom. I had sent him upstairs to turn off the TV.
He thought he might be losing too much blood. It got pretty dramatic. I know that he did not lose too much blood. Took me awhile to get a good look, though.
SHIRLEY - I wish DELL would just send you a new computer that WORKS!! They used to be so good about replacing computers that didn't work properly in the first year. Then you had to pay to have a replacement warranty. I used to NEVER get any other computer than a DELL, but lately I wonder. I had problems with my Dell Laptop years ago and ended up sending it back as well.
The desktop computer I have blew something on its motherboard, too, but they sent a technician to the house to replace it. Then it happened again after it was out of warranty, so we just ordered one ourselves from Tiger Direct and replaced it. It is much easier on a desktop than a laptop, I am sure.
My most recent laptop is a HP and I have been happy with it, but I like Dennis' Sony Vaio much better. It is really nice!!
Sorry you are having problems they won't take care of timely with a new laptop.
Kay - So sorry to see you still have more to deal with related to your pain. I hope the physical therapy for the bursitis didn't make things worse for you. Kind of makes you wonder.....
Will definitely keep you on the prayer list. You have had your fill of problems, too, dear one! ♥
Sandi...you hit it on the nail LOL Yes, would not want Hunter to miss playing games.
Did I tell you that Michael got tablets for Joseph and Jacob for Christmas? He is so generous. Well, they downloaded games but now the boys want books. They are reading like crazy with their tablets. First Laurel downloaded The Ligntening Thief for Joseph and he finished that in no time. Downloaded another book. Well, then Jacob got jealous. He wanted books. Laurel found some free books at his level. Wahoooo! Going to make those boys readers yet. When reading to Jacob he wants non fiction. Isn't that great?! But the books Laurel downloaded are super heroes!
Oh, and did I mention the desktop I have that broke twice is a high end DELL that I must have for work??
High end, in that it was the best processor, and the most ram, so I could run programs I needed to run without incident.
I don't need all the media and games stuff, but do need a decent computer for work.
Dennis built me a "bare bones" computer by ordering parts and a tower and it was awesome, but this last time, he didn't have the inclination to do it again. He gets too frustrated!!
LOLLY, did Jacob and Joseph get Ipads or Kindle Fires? How old are they - love hearing about kids who love to read!! Before I taught special ed., I was a 7th/8th grade remedial reading teacher for 9 years in Balto. County. It made me sad to hear kids say every day how much they hated reading. I couldn't imagine my world without books!
Yup, see something falling at the nest! Batten down the hatches, Belle!
Aren't our eagles grand? Think we got some of the best.
Four years ago we gave my Mom (83 at the time) a Presto email machine. We were leary if she would get the concept. Took to it right away, knew when & how to change ink cartridges, keep the paper filled etc.
Then Christmas 2010 we got her a Kindle (86 then) and worried if she could "do" it. She is addicted to it. Comments included "hard to eat one handed while reading on Kindle, take Kindle down by washing machine to read while waiting for cycle to end, etc.
Still don't know anything, still same symptoms. I am a little bit frustrated but trying to be patient and see what tomorrow brings. Have a great weekend everyone and stay safe!
Getting concerned about LYNN, think JEWELS will let us know if LYNN can't. Hopefully all is well and she just stopped at some stores and to pick up dinner before heading home. Liesl will need immediate attention so we'll have to take our turn !
JO, thanks for the BEV update. I think we're all getting frustrated with the slow progress toward answers, but not nearly as frustrated as BEV n' SHARON, I'm sure !
WOW, I got something to write on with no stoopid 'puter language!!! Just been watching nest on other browser & see some flakes falling. BOO Belle eating something & blocking eggs! Haven't seen 2 yet.
BELLE DECIDES TO LEAVE THE CUP TO WORK ON HER NESTOVERS AGAIN. INTERESTING THAT SHE GOES TO THE "OLD" FISH WHEN THE "NEW" IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER NOSE. WASTE NOT, WANT NOT !
HA, SHE HEARD YOU LORETTA, MOVING ASIDE A MOMENT SO YOU COULD THE EGGS ! ☺ AHA, POOP SHOT. SHE'S GETTING READY FOR A LONG SNOWY NIGHT OR THE LAYING OF A THIRD EGG. PROBABLY WISHFUL THINKING ONLY ON MY PART. HAS SHE EVER LAYED THREE VIABLE EGGS ?
Thanks, PAULA, 2009 was my first year with this nest. So, we have a precedent. I'm hoping for 3 this year ! I tend to get fuzzy on details since I watch about 8 nests by the time the season is over. This one, thanks to the blog, has become my favorite !
I'm convinced that Belle and Shep are so in tune with the weather that they both knew bad weather was coming. Shep brought Belle plenty of food - some for now and some for later to prepare for a long night.
Well I came back in time to see the second fish brought in and Sheps take off. I saw Belle get up to finish pieces from the 1st fish, way to go Shep, and she did a poop shoot and is now tenting. All is indeed well at the nest...I am a happy camper...
LOLLY glad the eye is good and you have an explanation as to the redness. JIM is right about how complicated this surgery really is even though it does not take so much time anymore...
Beautiful day here and I had an excellent yoga practice.I found some wonderful dark roast brazilian coffee beans covered with chocolate...delicious, so I bought some.
KAY, I've only been watching this nest since 2009 as well (that was Hidey's year) so it's not that I knew that info. off the top of my head like Paula or Jo would. But it's on the home page of the eaglet momster's site!

Good afternoon Linda.
Sharon - ♥
Did I read that Nila passed? I saw a post saying someone was sorry....
Sharon - Maybe it was referring to your post about the passing of "Pete?"

Oh, Lori...sympathy. No rest for the weary today.
Belle's doing a lot of the roosting today, isn't she?
It's very nice outside...
I se Blackwater is back up ...
maybe this is old news I'm on the 200 dead-end street right now

Why Lori..
I can empathize with noise ..
maybe it's a nice day for a walk OUTSIDE, far OUTSIDE, with Dalai
and your camera !
xo
Just realized we split a while back.
LOL My phone just signaled and said to leave NOW for the doctors. Guess I better go.

Good luck at the doctors, Lolly. Hope he eases your mind about infection. Scratches for Annie and all her almost 18 years!

NBG nest is MT I wonder with all the mating and the different females why no egg I wonder what is the latest they have had eggs???????????????????
Oh LORI.....Yikes.
The joys of home ownership......
Hope you don't get a headache from all the noise.
Hope the kitties don't freak out, too! They often times don't like loud noises either! ♥
Oh yes, the kitties are freaked. All are under my bed, except little Mac and Andie who are upstairs hiding in a closet!
That was cool saw Shep fly around the nest in the distance tooo cool
Just on the news you know me a news freak Hersey Kisses the new air one cost the same as a reg bag of kisses less weight less calories less fat but same price Who is ripping us off Hershey will not comment 328 12 oz for regular kisses and 328 for 9 oz of air kisses HMM
That is Shep on nest she flew off I saw him fly around the nest in the distance and came in from 10ish
It was sooooo pretty seeing him fly way out there
I wish I had the camera rolling them but didn't
We had a switch....Shep on the eggs at present..
Oh, Lori, I forgot to tell you about our little orange kitty!
I was reading the discussions about naming Mac and one of your choices was Opie! That is what we named our little one.
He is getting so big and such a cutie. He was so skinny and sickly and now he is full of energy and lots of love. He plays hard and loves hard!!
Just what you want in a kitten/cat. Gigi, on the other hand, is beautiful and likes to be around us, but hates to be held and pet. Go figure.....
Opie has really been a joy. Always playful, loves to be pet, always curls up and sleeps with us.....so cute.
Boy, I missed that one....
Stepped away and didn't see the switch. Sorry for the incorrect post.
I'll delete it so as not to confuse anyone....
Belle flew off at about 2 and Shep immediately flew in at about 8. I am so proud of him!
Thanks, JudyE for the switch update!
Linda, Nila is doing well, talked to her last night. Going to see her this evening. She needs some Thank You cards so I am going to take her some.
SHARON great news about NILA hey does she have a puter maybe she would like to join in
My feet are back down on the floor
Just relaxed a little in the recliner
I, too, am waiting for word from Lynn.
Perhaps she did go out to lunch.. ♥
So happy that everything is calm and quite
Wish Bev would get some answers! ♥
Sharon - Happy to hear Nila is doing well. Amazing grace!!
Thanks, LORI ♥ We are really enjoying Opie and I am feeling so much better about that scraggly little kitten Dennis brought home!!
Back from the doctor. All is well and I go back next Wed. He says the red is just a matter of whether they nick a vein or not, no big deal. Well...it is NOT his eye! Annie was a tiny kitten that was dumped at our place on a wet August morn. We just guessed at her age...born sometime in June as she was about 6 or 7 weeks old. Thanks, Linda! Must say though, it has not hurt at all. No irritation at all. Have not had to use the gel for scratchy eye.
Shep's dark spot is really nice to tell who is in the nest.
Hi, I'm back again ... for a while anyway.
I wish you the best with your eye, Lolly.
Do NOT worry about the bloodshot look the day after...you had a serious surgery, the laser's speed and precision makes it seem less serious than it is (was a few years ago).

Wind is starting to pick up a little at the nest.
Thanks, Jim! Doing the drops! And, do know this will pass. Really looking forward to seeing so much better!

Jim, I had the first eye done 4 years ago. I would sit here and with the left eye covered could read the small print of the TV. With my right eye covered, boy was it blurry. So, I know my poor rt eye has been doing all the work. Can hardly wait to see how it will be.
I am so happy for you, Jim, that you are seeing so well. Shame on you for not getting it done sooner. LOL
Since I can not do a whole lot, I am playing. Changed my avatar! Also, have the pic on my Hawkwood Blog.
Heard a CLUNK on the camera
As Paula says,..... Someone's in the attic...
Woodpecker!!
Beautiful avatar, LOLLY!
Just heard some clunking...then a big yawn from Shep....so cute :)
OH AND THANKS NCTC FOR GETTING THE STILL CAM UP AND RUNNING AGAIN!
Belle has been out for a while I love it that Shep turned out to be a good dude
Good afternoon, dear friends !
Praying ♥ !
Lolly
Daffydils look great !!
Jim
You sound like you feel like a new man, and that new man enjoys his new eyesight!
Jordyn say TWO EGGS OMA
Leaving work soon....see you all later, hope to find that folks are doing well...
Take CaR, God Bless You
xoxo ♥
Well Jordyn is runing around and has finally gotten use to the cats Yesterdays all she wanted to do is sit on the couch and when they came near her she had the panic look NO Panic look today
Shep backed up out of the bowl....now facing right, playing with a stick or two...ha ha look at the fluff hanging from his chest, LOL
Shep is up...
And POOF SHEP
POOF
caught it too late:
Take CARE.....do NOT take CAR !
xo ☺
Shep just flew up on the limb at 10 o'clock and then flew off.
He was at the launchpad, looking up...flew over to the 9 stump
calling out
OH my that is HP in the tree! LOL
HP HP maybe
There is fussing in the attic or maybe some HP??
That looked like HP on the camera, the way it was shaking!
SHEP off...
lots of noise in the attic
Here comes Belle
And Belle arrived at about 7 o'clock.
More clunking...and I believe Ms Belle has arrived
wiggle wiggle and down
knocked myself off the blog...coming through.
Belle is really piling up the fluff!
sounds like they are trying for another egg huh
Did Belle bring in flugg? She certainly is rearranging!
Kay, so sorry about the back issues!
Good news, LOLLY ! Laurel and Jacob will take your mind off that eye. Enjoy !
So, I would guess tomorrow night we should sit glued to the cam. Love attending egg delivery.
Speaking of family...I will get to see mine tonight! Haven't seen Jayden for 3 weeks...so excited. I am READY now for excitement and a bit of partying:)
Therapist said NO COOKING FOR A LARGE GROUP. KFC, here we come:)
Home!!
WANDA, Family Night ! Enjoy ! KFC is good ! So happy Jayden is going to be there, too !
DANAMO, home with with a restful weekend planned ? You've earned it !
Have been catching up on the blog and watching Belle tuck the flugg in all around her like a blanket. Radar shows the bad weather getting close to the nest - I'm sure she "knows" something is coming (can sense the change in the barometric pressure) and is preparing for it? CL
Clunk near the cam!
Heard Shep on the cam! Belle looked up too.
BTW, for all the winter haters ... there are only 39 more days til the first day of spring!!! LOLLY, LOVE your daffodils!! I cannot wait!!
Yes, SANDI and Belle is watching something rather intently. Hope it's only Shep doing some nice aerobatics for her amusement !

Diet ginger ale
Tori's feed tube was changed this morning to a smaller one but it is blocked, first Melissa tried enzymes to break anything blocking the tube up and is now attempting diet ginger ale, interesting huh.
PT was here and worked on Tori's legs and feet to help keep her strong for the day she stands up to start walking.
RT was in and put Tori back on support and is breathing over the vent building her chest muscles again.
Wow, check out that fresh fish Shep just brought in, still wiggling!! - whatta man!!
Wahoo ! Shep, the great provider is back and Belle is very pleased with her fish !
who is that is it shep
Good on Shep! Wow, delivery of fresh sushi! You better hold it down Belle, it will flop out of the nest!!1
I just heard a bunch of eagle calls and saw two eagles can't tell
Not too sure what the RT was doing on Tori, but maybe when Lynn comes back she will help us understand. Either way, it is helping to build up her chest muscles for breathing.
All good stuff!!
did he bring food
I was almost panicing thinking a intruder for a moment
Nice to know her belly will be full tonight!! I am starting to love Shep!!
And to think that, on Monday, everyone was holding his/her breath not sure that Shep would know what to do!
Belle eating, Shep working on the rails at 12.
Thanks for ROBYN's progress update, LINDA ! TORI is doing soooo well !
LOLLY, Jacob is so cute. Hope he holds on to that dream--we need good Science teachers !
SHEP fully meant that fish as a gift for his Belle. He checked those eggs out and went to work on nestorations. He's loving this new role !
really neat he brought her food and he isn't eating it TOOO cool
Didn't we used to call sushi "wushi" or something like that?
He looks so small on the edge now
Been MIA for 2 hours
What a great scene at the nest
2 Beautiful uncovered eggs
Shep up on the rail
Belle chowing down big time.....
LOLLY, you know, even when we all hated Shep, even when Belle hated him, he showed a tenacity that has to be admired. He fought for his mate, he fought for this nest, he has shown himself to be a good provider. He iss one fine eagle!
I was surprised with all the eagle calls when he brought the food Noisy little fellow or was it her I wasn't watching cam
They said earlier that Tori's chest muscles were hurting. Maybe they hurt so bad they needed to go back on support and give her muscles more time to build back up.
Need a "thumbs up" or "like" button like facebook. Shep flies off. Big smiles!
LYNN will be able to shed more light on Tori's RT. Hope we hear from her soon !
PT - Physical Therapy
RT - Respiration Therapy (?)
Yes, many a time I have wanted to hit a like button on a comment that someone has made. LOL
I saw the big smile toooo Danamo We are all so proud of him he has proven his worthiness for Belle
Wanda - your evening of family fun sounds great. Are you bringing in KFC
or going over to it?
Maybe I will get breakfast again Sunday morning with Laurel here. hee hee!
Looks like just a little leftover fish to me, Judy.
Now that she has healthy lungs, it makes sense that those muscles she hasn't been using for a long time, would be sore b/c they are being asked to do more work than they've been used to doing.
off to have my afternoon snack...strawberries and yogurt, no sushi for me, thank you!
I think Shep is doing a fine job so far, as well!
Wind picking up
Pulling in the flugg
I am going to my dinner table
BBL
Paula, did you see the flopping fish Shep brought to the nest. Really made me feel good!
It has been an eventful day.
JO, did you watch the eagle special on WJZ last night?
NO, Lolly, but I saw it through everyone's posts!
Good luck!
I see that Belle is in the nest.
Yes, SANDI! I remember coming back and seeing a few new faces, which was quite a delight!!
Happy you're here, of course!! You just fit in so perfectly ♥
He has had an ice pack on the toe. I just think it does need to be seen at least.
Hi, Everyone,
Shirley, sorry to hear that Hunter fell and hurt his toe--that must be very painful!
Shirley, can't he hop holding on to you?
He says that he fell from the second to the top step. He fell all the way to the bottom. I had sent him upstairs to turn off the TV.
He thought he might be losing too much blood. It got pretty dramatic. I know that he did not lose too much blood. Took me awhile to get a good look, though.
SHIRLEY, didn't your daughter (sorry, forget her name - Susan maybe?) just hurt her foot at work? What's up with your family and foot injuries??
Just started sprinkling here, and I see some precip at the nest.
He can probably hop with help from Kathryn and me. I just thought it would be better if we work together on this.
Wow, that is some fall! Hunter is very lucky that he only sustained an injury to one toe! Scary!
Kay - So sorry to see you still have more to deal with related to your pain. I hope the physical therapy for the bursitis didn't make things worse for you. Kind of makes you wonder.....
Will definitely keep you on the prayer list. You have had your fill of problems, too, dear one! ♥
Shirley, sorry about Hunter's toe! Those toe injuries do hurt, hope it's nothing major.
I kinda read Robyn's comment that Tori is breathing over the vent, building up her chest muscles.
Another food delivery!!!
Wow check out that fish!
Shep just landed at 11 on the nest with a headless fish! Way to go Shep!
I am starting to get the 'sprinkles' here in the valley !
Well well, did the boy finally bring in a big fish? You go Shep!
SHARON, this is the 2nd fish he's brought in about 30 - 40 minutes! he's getting the hang of this provider thing!!
Shep took off from the top of the nest over the launch pad and out.
Love that guy Shep!
That is a whopper & remember that they eat the head off first!
He is so proud! Wait until Lynne lets Steve look at that one!
The precip at the nest is snow.
BW said it may be a couple of days before their site is unlocked by Google.
Sandi - I didn't watch the Eagle Special
I closed down earlier then normal & was
headed to bed.
I was local coverage, so I hope it is
presented again. It also may not have been a long special..
Young or old, they take to electronics!
I am diligently looking for Lynn.
If anyone knows her whereabouts -
Speak Up
Bev Update: Beverly Crisco Riffe
Still don't know anything, still same symptoms. I am a little bit frustrated but trying to be patient and see what tomorrow brings. Have a great weekend everyone and stay safe!
Got the fish pic in the album...heading home, catch ya later
Wonder if they sent her off for some tests??
Have been on the phone with daughter, Eileen and missed the delivery of the 2nd fish. Shep is endearing himself to us rapidly ! Bless his heart !
PAULA - I don't know about the RT comment because it sounded like she said they put her back on support. That is why I said I didn't quite understand.
Either way, they are building her muscles for her BIG day when she breathes solo!!
BOO
Belle eating something & blocking eggs! Haven't seen 2 yet.
BELLE DECIDES TO LEAVE THE CUP TO WORK ON HER NESTOVERS AGAIN. INTERESTING THAT SHE GOES TO THE "OLD" FISH WHEN THE "NEW" IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER NOSE. WASTE NOT, WANT NOT !
Belle is eating the older fish at 6 o'clock position now.
Hey Loretta!!
See 'em now??
MAJOR POOP SHOOT - BELLE!!
HA HA!
Poop shoot for Belle! =D
I'm glad I didn't get any of that on me!! LOL
Belle - back on the eggs!
Hooray! She moved just enough so I got pic of eggs!!!
HAS SHE EVER LAYED THREE VIABLE EGGS ?
eggroll, tenting.
LORETTA, she's giving you a good look at the eggs and now look at that tenting!! What a great MOM!!
The Mombrella is out ! ♫ Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow ♫♪.
Kay, 2006 and 2008 were both 3 eggs that hatched and 3 eaglets that fledged!
Wonderful tenting over the eggs!
Thanks, PAULA, 2009 was my first year with this nest. So, we have a precedent. I'm hoping for 3 this year ! I tend to get fuzzy on details since I watch about 8 nests by the time the season is over. This one, thanks to the blog, has become my favorite !
Going to
S P L I T
Uh, Oh. Light white layer starting on Belle's wings :>(
Wow! I jumped a SPLIT!!
I look forward to hearing from LYNN.
KAY, I've only been watching this nest since 2009 as well (that was Hidey's year) so it's not that I knew that info. off the top of my head like Paula or Jo would. But it's on the home page of the eaglet momster's site!
