Hope you have a lovely time with the graduate and all the family, Shirley Congratulations to Susan, and to YOU for helping her get this far, just by being a wonderful Mom xoxo
Lynne so very sorry to read about Steve's getting let go... This is totally unAmerican and unacceptable... It is one of those many doors that close, because another is waiting to open! A big fat appreciative door, I hope ! Prayers for the two of you... (( hugs ♥ ))
I won a prize from American Tortoise Rescue on FB!! I had a tie with another person for the most "likes" for a turtle joke contest, and I have won a canvass bag!!
Here is the joke... A turtle was walking down a dark alley when he was mugged by a gang of snails. A policeman came to investigate and asked the turtle if he could tell him what happened. The turtle looked at the policeman with a confused expression and said, "I don't know, it all happened so fast!"
Thanks Margy....or like this thing stuck in my head at the moment from The Sound of Music...Julie Andrews (I LOVE her!) saying that when God closes a door, somewhere he opens a window!
Lynne Loretta got to the ER and got checked, nothing broken for Loretta, however, a deep bruise ice and rest and crutches and be off it for a few days... I think that's it and some medication also
As to Steve's key, let them "stick it where the sun don't shine" as we say in this part of the world...LOL... I am glad he is more reasonable than all that though...
OH, I remember reading that you helped a turtle Shirley! Probably should have put it across in the direction it was heading, but thanks for getting it out of danger!!!
Yes, I would not throw the key away, but I would probably wait a bit and see what happens. You would not want to be accused of using it inappropriately, though, or charged for having their locks changed or some silly thing.
Behind it was a nice little pond and in front of it was a group of apartment buildings. For all I know, it had a friend at one of the apartments, but I thought the shores of the nice little pond might be safer.
Was relieved to read all the commetary about the rescue at Sidney: thanks for the news, folks
Whew!
time for a shower here...bathroom ceiling has a big gaping hole in it...I am to watch for and call about any new leaks...and then they will come to repair the ceiling next week. Sure glad there are no squirrels in residence this year !! (As I had in the ceiling space, a few years ago, Big WOOF !!) Or I would be staying somewhere else !
5/19/2011 :: Banding Results This year, for the first time, there is only one nestling at the ledge. Based on weight(660 grams)and the diameter of the legs the nestling was determined to be a male. The banding team placed an alphanumeric band on the nestling with characters large enough to read with binoculars and another US Fish and Wildlife band with a code that can be read with the bird in hand. The nestling was in good health. Watch and rescue teams are now forming in anticipation of the first flight this young bird will take. He should fledge in about two weeks.
Thought about that, but unless he sends it certified, they could always get crappy and say they never got it. Silly to think that, but I don't trust them at ALL.
Lynn2, I am so very sorry about Steve's job situation. Will send prayers for finding something even better very quickly. Hugs to you both.
Maybe the key should be returned by Registered Mail -- would leave no question as to when/how returned etc. as signature is required by recipient.
Lynne2's turtle joke happened so fast I almost missed it. Congratulations, lady.
Shirley, enjoy Susan's graduation. A proud accomplishment for her and a great source of pride for you. Give her our best.
Paula, so glad your chariot has been repaired.
Terrific news about T-Bird being able to go home. Very happy about that.
Sharon, sure hope it is only a cyst. If so, not to worry.
Hi Jim. Hope I can see Phoebe's babe again before it takes off.
Got to the game. Temple won 5-4. But it was nice to be out in the fresh air and some sunshine. Maybe tomorrow will be a win.
So glad the Sidney rescue was a success. Sorry I missed it. Will try to find a video of it tomorrow.
Shirley, I do hope Kathryn's friend pursues additional information and, if nothing else, initiates better controls for patients (even children) in a psychiatric unit.
Lolly, happy the news for Joseph is good but sorry he can't play. There will be a gazillion future games for him.
Well, the sandperson is hovering behind my chair and I suspect my moments of consciousness are numbered in single digits.
Her friend is making arrangements to speak with an attorney. This aggressive kid had beat up an eleven- year-old-boy the night before. This aggressive kid is a 300-pounder.
I am home. T-Bird is home and loving on her Buddy! I have a hole in my head (like I really needed another one). Going to bed. Two more nights and then its Country Roads, Take Me Home!!!!
Going to be very proud of Susan. I think what they are having tomorrow is technically called convocation. But it is the ceremony at which they will call her name.
No idea on Josephs back. He is such an active 10 year old. He plays soccer like you would not believe...he sacrifices his body all the time. However, his back started hurting before practice this week.
Welcome Home, T-Bird and prayers for a quick healing Sharon ...now get thee back to your West Virginia Roost and let the REAL healing begin (( hugs ♥! ))
Good Night Shirley... am so sorry to read about Kathryn's friend's son...hope he will be okay, soon...all the way around. and it sure sounds like the 300-pound attacker, needs a great deal of help as well.... just makes my heart ache, for these young ones in trouble
Just to be clear - I have a deflated lump with blood and neosporin in my hair. Gorgeous sight.
I go to the lake in the morning to get Becky, Mattie and Justin to help finish the packing. UHaul only has a 26' truck which will definitely hold everything but the gas is going to kill me, got 2 vehicles to get gas for also.
Good Night also to Judie... sure glad you got out and about today and enjoyed yourself Keep on getting better !
All in all this tremendously long thread is moving along without a hitch... but what an experience
The Night Bandit has surely struck! Will collect the names of all the people we are praying for, and take them to the pillows with me... May RED FRIDAY tomorrow, bring healing, solutions, peace... all those things we need
God Bless This (not-visible right now) Nest, and God Bless Us, Every One xoxo ♥
Back to see how things are going with everyone, and say goodnight.
Want to set the record straight. My classmate, Evelyn, has lost her 30-year-old nephew. He was found by a family member in his apartment. He had passed away about three weeks before he was found. They don't know yet what caused his death. Not sure how soon the autopsy results will be in. There will most likely be toxicology reports, too. Thanks to all of you for your prayers for her and her family. They are devastated.
Thank God that Joseph is going to be OK!
Shirley, I cannot believe what happened to your daughter's friend's son! I am speechless! Hope he will be OK!....Have fun tomorrow! What a wonderful day!
Sharon, glad you got that cyst taken care of. Bet it hurts, but pray it gets better QUICKLY!
Lynne2, my heart goes out to Steve and you! He must be in shock right now. Prayers for a FANTASTIC new job for him! Lynne, love your turtle joke--congrats to you!
Well, need to get comfy and get ready to watch Grey's and PP.
Prayers for everyone in need--Pam Haines' grandma, Loretta, Judie, Thelma & Sharon, Steve & Lynne2, WV Dana, et al.
Checking to make sure we have a porch light burning. Enabling both security systems. Sleep tight, everyone! I'll talk to you tomorrow. God bless, and goodnight! Love all of you! :o]
Prayers that Thelma and Sharon recover quickly! And prayers for the Sopers well being. How awful--sounds illegal that they could let Steve go like that! If he liked it there, would be reason to speak with a higher person or appeal somehow. Hope something much better is found soon. You both are such talented great people, you should get the best! Congratulations to Shirley's Susan! Shirley must be very proud! Lolly, hope Joseph gets better ASAP. Was searching for a good eaglet picture and came across a story about the 4 chick nest in VA.Only one they've heard of. Two nature Drs. flew over it yesterday and took a pic. (you can't really see 4-leaves in the way!) Said all look good! 4 Chick Nest Hope that works. We are getting thunder, lightening and rain!!! again!!
Hedgie thanks for that link Nice view from topside I was at my daughters watching it Ok need to get to bed should have been sooner God Bless this nest and all whom watch it Healing prayers from those whom need them
"Be kinder than necessary, for everyone is fighting some kind of battle."
Lolly, good to hear that Joseph is okay. How did a little kid strain his back??? Playing soccer?
So sorry about Kat's friend's son, Shirley. Gotta tell you, tho', that patient assaults in psych units are not at all unusual...current laws require that there be social areas and interactions among the "clients"....and if unit is full, there's never enough staff to prevent or protect the way it should be. :( Don't know what the legal ramifications are.....but I would certainly talk to an attorney.
Shar----glad you got your cyst drained and that Thelma is home with you. Extra big (((hug))) for her from me, please!
Just missed Paula, but wanted to say I'm so glad Nugz is feeling better.Stitches coming out is another plus! Nighty-nite to you both.
We usually get cats on bed---Fubby goes early to bed & announces it to cats. They usually follow him, or go soon after! Had some other good interaction today from outside animal world. We had seen a squirrel on our road that lost an auto battle & didn't think it was our pal, Shorty. Today, Shorty actually went into garage, jumped up on a car to fetch Frank for peanuts!! All the animals rule around here! I broke down & took a whole pain pill tonight & instead of konking out, I'm getting a little peppy! Try to go to work tomorrow, so time to say, Prayers for all & Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>)
Loretta I can say what you just said about our cats... Hubby goes early to bed & announces it to cats. They follow him I turn on the hall light and holler Nighty Night and there goes Marvin and Scar up on their side of the bed or right in the middle after I get there.
Jo----glad you dropped in! I am so glad that Patrick got Red John....but it will certainly get tense for him when the season starts come fall-----no doubt he'll be in prison in an opening scene!
Okay, all caught up. Tub time for me. Sweet dreams for all. Loretta, please be very careful tomorrow if you try to work.
LYNNE, the news about Steve's abrupt dismissal is distressing ! I think you should, as others have suggested, send the key back via Registered mail. I would send it to the main office so they know their local idjet didn't even ask for it ! Hoping Steve finds a new job and puts all that behind him soon. Also crossing my fingers that the second vet job comes through for you. Congrats on winning the Turtle Joke contest ! It's a very punny joke !!!!
MARGY, the pretty new Magpie makes for a delightful avatar ! What has James had to say about the tests since that first stressful day ? Is the bathroom back in good shape ?
Morning all:) Today's nest weather-Mostly cloudy. Isolated showers this morning...then scattered showers with isolated thunderstorms this afternoon. Highs in the mid 70s. West winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.
DanaMo, the cam went out during the severe thunderstorms we had here Weds. night. Steve is still on vacation, so I guess no one else knows to try to reset it.
EJ and Odin, have hatched their first chick at the Osprey nest, Loch Garten ☺ at 22:13 "BST" which I think was about 5:22 pm our time yesterday on the 19th
can Loch of the Lowe's be far behind ?? eggs laid at about the same time, both nests
DanaMo Lynne2's Steve was let go from his job at clocking out time yesterday....no explanation... no reason given...big shock, was posted later in the day will give you the time of Lynne's message in a few minutes
After all he sad endings that we have seen in the BIRD WORLD, this year, it was so good to watch those rescuers free the Sidney eaglet from that fishing line....and.....be able to realise him back into his nest!
Lynn, Gene has set everything in your cam and it is ready to go. You will need an SD card. Really looking forward to seeing what wildlife wanders around your place at night!
First, it is an absolutely beauteous day for Susan's convocation. Geo. Mason is about ten minutes down the road and the sun is as bright as can be with light breeze and temp.~60. I know she is bursting with pride.
Watched a video of the Sidney rescue and there was, IMHO, a hottie named Jeff Krieger. He was in the bucket with D. Hancock.
Oh, Wanda, lol. I know the Sidney eaglet did realize it was released from the fishing line. Please tell the Capt. he's super nice to get the cam trail for Lynn.
Margy, had to laugh at the image of one of your upstairs neighbors gallumping down into your bathroom. Have fun with James this afternoon and give him an extra momster hug, please.
Congratulations to Odin and EJ. Will check out the nest in a few minutes.
JudyE, have fun with Jordan today.
Congrats to Nugz on stitches removal.
Loweeda and Jo, I am so jealous. Still miss our Siamese who were gracious enough to allow us to sleep with them in bed.
Well, going to finish my coffee and read the newspaper. Plan to take care of laundry and other chores today as I'll be out and about tomorrow doing some fun stuff. Darth has all-day meetings so I'm going to enjoy the day with some gal pals.
Morning all! Shirley, is the convocation in the gym? That is where Christie's graduation was held. We had decent seats, but still a big place! Congrats to Susan!
Wanda----I don't know what an SD card is, or what it is for....or where to get....info, please!!!
Getting ready to go wash my hair, no mowing here this morning. Already raining! Wahooo!
Lori, we miss you too. Kay is so sad in the early morning hours without you! Miss the morning commentary. LOL ♥☺ I did see where you go on and gave her a hug.
Good Morning not fond of more rain. Watch this summer we will have a drought.
Andrea keeping prayers for your friend Evelyn.
Lynne2 sounds like that place wasn't run correctly and things might have been going to explode there anyhow. Praying for a good job for Steve.
Shirley terrible about your daughters friend son. Hope they are looking into it. Prayers...
Great day for Susan's convocation.
WOW Loretta a 4-Chick nest. Now that is some feeding time going on. What are they feeding their fish in VA????
Chick being fed at 2 harbors
Chicks at Sidney just got some food.
Thanks Margy about the news of the hatch at Loch Garten. Hope no one comes falling through to your floor. Have a good day with James. I can't remember if it is today or tomorrow.
LYNN, SD card is what you take out of your camera and stick into your computer so that you can see what pictures you took. You can find those cards at most places that sell cameras or develop film. Wal Mart, Office Max, Staples and some drug stores. Gene says to get one that is 2GB's.
Fox kit came to visit again, this morning...caught him on Gene's camera through the window...little fuzzy, but what a cutie! Posted photo on WILD AND WONDERFUL.
lol the one chick at Sidney (one that had fishing line) is picking up pieces of grass and moving them. lol Working doing nestorations early in its life. lol
Wanda, loved the pictures. Wonder how the mind works???? I have been making the most crazy typos. Yesterday wanted to type "scene" and typed "seen", instead. Today I typed "two" instead of "too". I know better!!!!!!
SD card probably has something to do with what the pictures go on. Probably can buy almost anyplace or Gene and Wanda would have said they are hard to get to Lynn-Hedgie.
Thanks, Judie, I will. Going to start making lists for a big party we are having in a couple of weeks. Going to have one out of town guest and about 25 people over for a backyard party. Having a big group of Lockheed/Martin retirees over. We do this every couple of years.
Joseph will be resting this weekend. Laurel talked about taking him to a movie. He is so active. He is an outdoor, bicycle, scooter, sports, kind of kid. Hard to keep inside. I am beginning to think that this soccer tournament may be cancelled anyway. Rain and storms all over the region.
Nugz got his stitches out just fine. His sugar levels are normal, so we are going to keep him on the same dosage of prednisone. He is feeling and acting pretty normal, and that's all we are striving for at this point.
May not be of interest to most but the most amazing event occurred in the Anthony trial jury selection. Outburst by a spectator. Now being sentenced for contempt. Spectator claims multiple mental illnesses, on medications, etc. Juror being questioned at the time of outburst will likely be dismissed. What an adrenaline rush.
Paula......Leslie Sansone "Walk Away the Pounds". Ultimate Collection
I bought ours at Target but you can find it online. She has many DVD's. This one comes with a stretchy band and has a 1, 2, 3, or 4 mile walk. We do the 2 miles in 30 minutes.
We may be doing yard work after all. The sun has come out!
I forgot last night I was worried last night that Scotty on American Idol would go home. HE DID NOT GO HOME!!!!
He is really a true young American Boy. He works and he just couldn't believe all those people. Were out there for him. He even got emotional...true and honest.
Okay.....I suspected that was what an SD card was----but neither of my puters has a port for such. The cam does have a USB cable so assume that I can download it directly ---just means bringing the cam in, I guess.....or taking the laptop outside!
Judie---did you see that spectator was carrying her shoes in her hand? Made herself right at home, didn't she??? Glad they held her in contempt.
Love your kit, Wanda! Have you seen more than one?
Thanks, Shirley---couldn't for the life of me remember the name Patriot Center----duh! CRS disease!
Paula, sounds like Nugz is holding stable! Good to hear.
Almost finished vacuuming. Decks blown off despite the wetness----tracking in all that junk from the oak trees was awful---door mats didn't seem to help at all!
Liesl doesn't seem to mind the vacuum....but she does steer clear of it! Thankfully, she doesn't bark at it!
Lynn, you can also get a card reader to plug into the usb port on your computer, they aren't very expensive...maybe $15-$20...they come in very handy for camera cards as well.
Okay, Paula....that would be easier! I will get the card and the reader!!! My regular camera doesn't have a card port, either....it is strictly USB cord.
Well good morning everyone, as it is still morning here. The clouds are rolling back in but they are high clouds so maybe we will hold off for another day of no rain...keep your fingers crossed. My windows are open and I might have to take a jacket with me when I head out in a little while.
I hope you all have a great day and will check back in later when I come back in around three PM my time which is six PM Eastern time.
I had not thought of the fact that Steve Chase might be the chap who also knows about re-programming the camera, but it makes sense to me as he seems to be very computer savvy. So there is a chance that the camera issue might not be addressed before his return. I wish him well and I hope he is enjoying his trip a great deal. This weekend is a long weekend in Canada, Victoria Day Weekend after Queen Victoria. Of course you all have your long weekend the following weekend so Steve might not make a long weekend of it this weekend and I wonder when he will have a chance to look at the thread and the camera...thoughts from my rambling mind this morning...
Have a good afternoon, Hoda. Actually there is someone besides Steve who takes care of the cam itself....and since it broadcasts on a large screen TV in one of the buildings )at least), I'm sure that NCTC is aware.....so I would suspect that the problem is not an easy fix. Steve is the only one likely to post info about it, however.....so we are in the dark.
Dropping in to say hello before hurrying out to do weekly grossery shopping. A bit perplexed, since the dinosaur laptop is seriously lagging this morning! Margy, you know what I mean, for sure! Hit a key, and wait about 3 or 4 seconds before it shows on the screen. May try restarting to see whether it helps.
Glad to hear that Nugz is stitchless and doing well! Please give him a treat for me!
Gotta get going. Much to do today. Shirley, enjoy your day!
Good afternoon I say I just woke up from a nice nap with Jordyn I was surprised I feel asleep I usually just lay there a sec till she is out and get up but not today that was a nice nap Ok I'm gonna go play with her I'll be back later
I remember being told in years past the the video from the nest into the NCTC areas is always up/running. It is the internet to the cams where the problem lies. Unless NCTC is told - they don't know what we are NOT seeing. Thanks for emailing Randy.
I like this little report from Loch Garten: Entitled " A Star Is Born "
John Ingham 20 May 2011 Last night I had the privilege of sitting in Loch Garten’s famous ‘forward hide’, covering the overnight shift. I settled down excitedly as the last light faded from the cloudy sky. Within minutes of my arrival in the hide, EJ stood up and flew from the nest. I examined the eggs closely on the screen and realised that one was moving. It then broke in half and out flopped our first chick of 2011!
Prior to this, EJ had become quite restless on the nest, moving about and paying close attention to the eggs. She could obviously sense that hatching was imminent, and could possibly even hear the chick calling from inside the egg.
So the chick was hatched just after 10:10 last night. EJ soon returned to the nest to cover the newest addition to her family and protect it from the elements, as well as continuing to incubate the two remaining eggs. The weather throughout the early morning was awful. Cold, wind and heavy rain, which later turned into snow! A lovely welcome to the world of Loch Garten for the helpless little mite.
It wasn’t until later this morning after the conditions had improved, that we got a good view of the chick trying to stand up and wobbling its head as EJ offered it tiny pieces of fish for its first meal.
So there we have it. The waiting is over. The new chick is definitely the star of the show today with visitors flocking in to catch a glimpse. One out, two to go....
Just taking a quick peek in. Lawn is mowed, "weed eated(do not think that is a word. LOL), clipped, edged and blown. All pots are also watered. We have sunshine after the shower this morning. All the severe weather went north. However, more is out there and could come our way. I am ready for a good rain!!!
Evidence of armadillo digging, nothing severe.. yet!!
Came is for a bite to eat and a glass of water. Now back out!
By the way, I am getting concerned about the health of all pets around here.....the way treats are passed out they are all going to be chubby. LOL
LOLLY, yes, I'm doing the 2 mile w/strechy band now. Wish I'd had it all winter, but there have been many rainy days this Spring when it is just the ticket. On nice days I have a two mile circuit in my hood, with a couple of nice sloping hills, but as Leslie says on the DVD, that does mean stopping to talk to neighbors, cats, dogs and deer, so it really isn't as intense. I just love being outside. The two W's, walking and water are my key to maintaining weight. Love it !
LYNN, you're right, it's good Liesl is not spooked by the vac. Malcolm attacks them with a vengence and it makes clean ups a bit difficult ! I'm wondering if, when I have him for a week in June, I can break him of that. Thinking I can run the electric broom several times a day tii' he no longer thinks such contraptions are enemies. Open to any suggestions on this.
PAULA, I ordered the walking dvd on line and in spite of some note about it taking up to a couple of weeks to arrive, it was here from Denver in about 4 days. Of course, I paid postage, but like the convenience.
I watched several of the bottle video listed on that site Pretty cool Waiting for a call from Angie and Carl Might go to Taste of Pinellas tonight at Straub Park St Pete That's where all the restaurants are out there and you can taste from each place Really nice
WHAT ARE YOU DOING BEFORE THE END OF THE WORLD tomorrow LOL I put that on facebook also Have gotten a few funny comments one from Nilla too She is getting her farm ville in order toooo funny
2333 comment I'll take it wow big numbers huh OK gonna get a shower before I get my call BBL I did email the Nctc from the email listed on the still camera also
Good evening! Laurel has had rain all day! Geeeeesh! We had a short shower early. Then yard work. Then another short shower. Life is not fair! But, guess we were never promised fair!
Institute for Wildlife Studies Banding at the Two Harbors nest should begin around noon on Sunday. We'll leave Avalon around 10 am. 37 minutes ago · 13 ·LikeUnlike · 3 people like this..Cindy Ziegler hoping for a LEFT leg band :) .
Well I am just back as it turned out with a bit of sun in the afternoon and now it is DARK...Oh those clouds are DARK...we are in for a storm, so I am glad I stayed out as much as I could. Good yoga practice and a trip to the chiropractor and I am well with my day.
Thanks for the updates as to how the camera feed works at NCTC and that Mema Jo and Paula have emailed them about the no feed to us situation. They have a lot of work to do so when they are ready if it is fixable it will be fixed.
Travel Safely Paula and hope to hear about your adventures with Nugz and your Bro.
Cause I don't think anyone is going anywhere for the supposible "rapture" tomorrow. I BELIEVE IN GOD so My Life Was Given To HIM---He'll take me when HE wants me. ♥♥
Back home now. We encountered a traffic nightmare on the way home. It took more than 3 hours to get here.
We left No. Va. at 3:30 because Hunter had a 6:00 baseball game. Kathryn was already nervous because she thought we should have left sooner. There were two accidents on I-95 and a car overheated in front of us on Rt. 1.
I stayed home to take care of the critters and Kathryn and Hunter took off for the game. He will miss more than half of it.
The coach called, the coach's wife called, Tom called. Whew!
The convocation was very nice. I got some good pictures and videos. Tomorrow is the commencement for the whole university. Today was the convocation for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Not for sure if anyone else posted this or not this is below the live camera now
Note: The live stream is offline at this time. We are working on the problem, but do not have a time estimate on a resolution. Please return later. Thank you.
Welcome home, Shirley. Has been a big day for your family.
We are laughing as we are sure Joseph's soccer game was cancelled this evening. Hope the whole tournament is cancelled and rescheduled since he could not play this weekend.
We were kind of hoping Hunter's baseball game might get rained out, but it didn't. I hope he has a good game--the part of it he is there for. It has been a full day.
Gee, JudyE...wonder when they posted that note? Haven't heard anything from Randy. :(
Shirely, lovely pic of Susan! Will graduation be at the Patriot Center, too? Hope the traffic nightmare is better tomorrow for you. 95 can sure be a bear. Is convocation what we called baccalaureate? We had our high school and college baccalaureates at the Washington National Cathedral, and high school graduation was at Constitution Hall. College grad was on the quad!

Hope you have a lovely time with the graduate and all the family, Shirley
Congratulations to Susan, and to YOU for helping her get this far, just by being a wonderful Mom
xoxo
Good Evening Eagle Pals
Lynne
so very sorry to read about Steve's getting let go...
This is totally unAmerican
and unacceptable...
Oh Shirley, have a blast and enjoy tomorrow!!
Lynne, tell Steve not to throw that key away...they may ask for it yet.
Nugz is doing good! Stitches out tomorrow. Thank you for asking.
Thanks Margy....or like this thing stuck in my head at the moment from The Sound of Music...Julie Andrews (I LOVE her!) saying that when God closes a door, somewhere he opens a window!
Lynne
Loretta got to the ER and got checked,
nothing broken for Loretta, however, a deep bruise
ice and rest and crutches and be off it for a few days...
I think that's it
and some medication also
Cute, Lynne! Congrats!
He's not going to throw it away. I'm sure they will call to ask for it.
Congratulations Stronghunter on your daughter's graduation. Travel safely tomorrow and may the wind be at your back...
Thank you thank you...I'll be here all week!
Thanks Margy, now that you said that I DO remember reading that....my poor brain!
Lolly
relieved to hear that Joseph does not have a serious situation with his back, but sorry to know that he is in discomfort
and Yay for Nugz Paula, bet he will be really frisky after getting the stitches out
Might call for another bowl of Sweet Potatoes !
Yes, I had not said anything to Andy about her friend's son. Condolences to them, Andy.
Just cooked him up one for tomorrow, Margy :)
and then there is another song from Sound of Music:
Climb Every Mountain !!
OK, now I want to watch the Sound of Music!
As to Steve's key, let them "stick it where the sun don't shine" as we say in this part of the world...LOL... I am glad he is more reasonable than all that though...
By the way, next Monday 5/23 is World Turtle Day!
also Lynne
we could assemble quite a collection of Eagle Canes and head your way !!! Straight to the warehouse !
Yummy Paula...I bet Nugz knows it's for him ☺
OH, I remember reading that you helped a turtle Shirley! Probably should have put it across in the direction it was heading, but thanks for getting it out of danger!!!
LOL Hoda!
we're all most likely thinking that very same thing !!!
LOL Margy!!
Yes, I would not throw the key away, but I would probably wait a bit and see what happens. You would not want to be accused of using it inappropriately, though, or charged for having their locks changed or some silly thing.
LOL Hoda!!!
He'll probably take it back tomorrow. I just hate to was even a couple of dollars of gas money to get it back to them though. GGRRRRRR
(As I had in the ceiling space, a few years ago, Big WOOF !!)
Or I would be staying somewhere else !
ttfn xoxo ♥
He could mail it back.
Good night, friends. I will see you sometime tomorrow.
Good night Shirley!

5/19/2011 :: Banding Results
This year, for the first time, there is only one nestling at the ledge.
Did anyone watch the banding?
I did not Paula, but thanks for that report ..
and I sure hope Jo and Pa Nana Diann got to watch some of it!
Oboy, I'm in Magpie Heaven...
this is my new "Paula's Magpie!"
a yellow-billed...
Thank You so much Paula !!
You, definitely, Rock !
xoxo
I didn't either.
GREAT yellow billed Magpie!!!
Think I'll hit the shower....BBL!
Instead of $ for gas, Lynne, how about cents for a stamp and mail it back?
Thought about that, but unless he sends it certified, they could always get crappy and say they never got it. Silly to think that, but I don't trust them at ALL.
Oh look, it's me, not in the shower yet!
Night light is set. Restful sleep for all.
Lolly, glad it's just a strain for Joseph. Any clue how it happened?
Hi, still here. Kathryn came downstairs.
Her friend is making arrangements to speak with an attorney. This aggressive kid had beat up an eleven- year-old-boy the night before. This aggressive kid is a 300-pounder.
The other kids in the unit have said that they will not stay there with this boy. They would rather go to the jail.
OMG Shirley....
Thanks Judie....have a good night!
The main, big graduation is Saturday.
No idea on Josephs back. He is such an active 10 year old. He plays soccer like you would not believe...he sacrifices his body all the time. However, his back started hurting before practice this week.
Bless you and T-Bird, Sharon.
Wow, another split.
I have to say good night. See you later, folks.
Paula, are you watching PP? It is falling apart. Is this the end?
Nite, Shirley! Have a fantastic time tomorrow!
OMG! PP ended the season with all kinds of chaos! Wow!
Thunderstorms, severe weather, the works in store for us. Please rain, but no hail or tornado's please.
Hancock Rescue story

Good Night also to Judie...
sure glad you got out and about today and enjoyed yourself
Keep on getting better !
God Bless This (not-visible right now) Nest, and
God Bless Us, Every One

I thought Outdoor would have had a note under the cam...nothing.
Hi, Everyone,
Back to see how things are going with everyone, and say goodnight.
Ha, got lost in the split till I posted ☺
Wow! We passed the 2200 mark!
4 Chick Nest
Hope that works.
We are getting thunder, lightening and rain!!! again!!
No, Lolly, didn't see PP or Gray's tonight!
Gotta hit the hay here too, doggie is ready for nite nite ☺
(((Hugs for all ♥)))
Nature, I saw that story on the CCB blog..pretty neat!
Nite again!
Goodnight, Shirley. Congrats to Susan!!! Enjoy the festivities!
Try to go to work tomorrow, so time to say, Prayers for all &
Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>)
I've always wanted to be # 2222
Good Evening
Jo, you got it!! I was trying to think up another Comment! LOL
Loretta I can say what you just said about our cats...
Hubby goes early to bed & announces it to cats. They follow him I turn on the hall light and holler Nighty Night and there goes
Marvin and Scar up on their side
of the bed or right in the middle after I get there.
I just finished watching the
Mentalist that was a 2 hr finale..
I really really loved it.
I have been running around all day
except for a quick panda nap..
Good night everyone and I'll offer up prayers for all
Hugs to you all ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Glad you got your wheels back, Paula!
Judie, I'm sure the fresh air and sunshine did you good!
Welcome home, Thelma! I know Buddy missed you, and so did we!!
Lynne, I say mail the key (registered), too---or tell them to come get it! No way would I drive back there! What big company is this, please???
Margy, hope there's no chance of anything falling down into your bathroom! Be careful!!
BTW---it was Andy's classmate's nephew, I believe, who passed away.
No, Lolly, not the end for PP---it's been renewed for next season!
Heading to the shower and then to bed. It has been a long busy day!
It will be interesting to see what our weather will be tomorrow. Would like to get out and work in the yard.
Night all! Very special prayers for Lynne and Steve and the southern delegation.
Ho-ho----Andy is here and clarified,so my comment was redundant----but correct!!! Hi, Andy!
Goodnight to all turning in. I will finish reading the posts....
Good joke, Lynne! And neat that you won a prize!
Whoops, just saw your comment, Lynn. The very last scene in PP was unexpected and did lead into next year coming back.
I thought when we first learned about the 4-chick nest that they said there had been two previously known ones in VA. ????
Jo----glad you dropped in! I am so glad that Patrick got Red John....but it will certainly get tense for him when the season starts come fall-----no doubt he'll be in prison in an opening scene!
Okay, all caught up. Tub time for me. Sweet dreams for all. Loretta, please be very careful tomorrow if you try to work.
Prayers for everyone!
Tried to get caught up on comments, but doing face plants, so I will finish reading tomorros.
GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS
PRAYERS AND BLESSINGS FOR ALL
Sending the key with registered post sounds like a good idea Lynne 2, and I am sure you all will make the correct decision.
Paula I am glad you have your car back, good luck to NUGZ with taking out the stitches tomorrow
God Bless you and keep you all.
May there be a sense of HIS Grace in all of our lives tomorrow.
Goodnight.
HAPPY WEAR RED DAY EVERYONE !
SHIRLEY, is going to have a RED letter day at Susan's convocation ! Enjoy !
LYNN, I watched the Mentalist finale , too. Happy to see RED John come to an end. The show needs a new hook.
Ode to LORI

KAY - OH how I miss my Early Birds!
((BIG HUGs)). I can't wait to get home and have my own computer again.
Cams are still down?
Whoa...what did I miss about Steve?
What's up with the Cam?
Morning all:)
Today's nest weather-Mostly cloudy. Isolated showers this morning...then scattered showers with isolated thunderstorms this afternoon. Highs in the mid 70s. West winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.
Good RED Friday morning, Eagle Pals
I'll root for the 50% NO RAIN
Megan and thanks for the daily report
Good to see you Morning GLori, and yes, the cams went down late Wednesday night, after a round of storms in this area...
Hi Kay, Hi DanaMo
DanaMo, the cam went out during the severe thunderstorms we had here Weds. night. Steve is still on vacation, so I guess no one else knows to try to reset it.
Here's some happy news:
EJ and Odin, have hatched their first chick at the Osprey nest, Loch Garten ☺
at 22:13 "BST" which I think was about 5:22 pm our time yesterday on the 19th
can Loch of the Lowe's be far behind ?? eggs laid at about the same time, both nests
DanaMo
Lynne2's Steve was let go from his job at clocking out time yesterday....no explanation...
no reason given...big shock, was posted later in the day will give you the time of Lynne's message in a few minutes
at 8:25 pm Lynne posted about it.
Reckon Shirley and the Family are on their way for Susan's Convocation right about now...
Happy Trails and prayers for Safe Travels and Good Weather, Shirley
xo
Kay
I'll see James today after work, will find out about his week of testing...thanks for asking
time (already!) to get ready for work....
Best wishes for a Good, Safe, Healthy and Happy Day, Everyone
xoxo ♥
Good morning Here is another video just in case you didn't see it
CHEK NEWS
Off to get Jordyn and then to the park
GOOD MORNING...
After all he sad endings that we have seen in the BIRD WORLD, this year, it was so good to watch those rescuers free the Sidney eaglet from that fishing line....and.....be able to realise him back into his nest!
LOL *release*
Lynn, Gene has set everything in your cam and it is ready to go.
You will need an SD card. Really looking forward to seeing what wildlife wanders around your place at night!
Good morning, everyone.
BBL
Hi from GMU!!!
Shirley, thanks for stopping by. Happy you had a safe drive. Gorgeous day for Susan's convocation. Enjoy!
Morning all!
Shirley, is the convocation in the gym? That is where Christie's graduation was held. We had decent seats, but still a big place! Congrats to Susan!
Wanda----I don't know what an SD card is, or what it is for....or where to get....info, please!!!
Good morning!
And a special good morning to Shirley! Have a great time!
Darn chilly here?? Anyone else??
Watching the Norfolk eaglets earlier doing some wing exercising.
Fox kit came to visit again, this morning...caught him on Gene's camera through the window...little fuzzy, but what a cutie!
Posted photo on WILD AND WONDERFUL.
I just love Dave Hancock's attitude. If man caused it we have to intervene!!!!
Boy that nest at Duke sure is slanted. Heading downhill.
Sun is just shining through so can see a little at Lake Washington.
Looks like a parent might be feeding chicks there Lake Washington.
Eaglet at Pelican Harbor looks to be feeding itself.
Thanks Wanda left a comment.
3 chicks at West End are all laying down. Beautiful sight withthe fog lifting off the water.
lol the one chick at Sidney (one that had fishing line) is picking up pieces of grass and moving them. lol Working doing nestorations early in its life. lol
Wanda, loved the pictures. Wonder how the mind works???? I have been making the most crazy typos. Yesterday wanted to type "scene" and typed "seen", instead. Today I typed "two" instead of "too". I know better!!!!!!
Lynn, don't know what an SD card is? Seems as if you have a Serious Dilemma. Wanda to the rescue, please.
Yep, Lynn is in trouble!! ☺
Lolly, enjoy a lazy rainy morning!
WOW are the 3 chicks at Decorah Big. It has been a while since I checked in on them. Beautiful eaglets!!! ( :
SD card probably has something to do with what the pictures go on. Probably can buy almost anyplace or Gene and Wanda would have said they are hard to get to Lynn-Hedgie.
Windy day at Lake of the Ozarks but the eaglet is hanging in there.
My delete
Lolly glad Joseph is ok--still needs to rest that sprine back.
An SD card holds your pictures in a camera! It's like a really tiny floppy disk! Can get them at Walmart, Staples, etc.
Morning, all!
Morning, Paula! So, how is Nugz this morning?
Time to go eat a bit of breakfast and then do my walking. Gotta keep this girlish figure. Yeah, right!!!! LOL
Kay, how is the walking going? You should be doing the 2 miles now and using the stretchy band.
Hey, Lolly, when you get a chance, can you put the name of the walking video on here again...thanks!
Enjoy your party planning, Lolly.
Paula, happy to know Nugz is stitchless and holding his own with the prednisone.
Yes, at the Patriot Center, Lynn. She has gotten her diploma now.
Yes, at the Patriot Center, Lynn. She has gotten her diploma now.
Good Morning - Just got in under the wire
Congratulations Susan!
Paula so happy Nugz sugar level is good. Give him a rub behind the ears for me and thank you. ( :♥♥
I got the Milford Conn. Osprey cam up again. Don't know how I did it or I would tell you all.
hee hee made me just sign in again
Whoo hoo Shirley, congrats again to Susan.
Milford Conn. Osprey have a "blue" rag in their nest lol
Got to go bbl
Loved the trail cam video,Wanda.
Cat came on at the very last sec.
I need to go and get my red shirt on and get busy doing something.
Hubby is mowing the lawn and I hope the weed whacker doesn't break
again.
BBILW
Have a good afternoon, Hoda.
Actually there is someone besides Steve who takes care of the cam itself....and since it broadcasts on a large screen TV in one of the buildings )at least), I'm sure that NCTC is aware.....so I would suspect that the problem is not an easy fix. Steve is the only one likely to post info about it, however.....so we are in the dark.
I am surprised that Outdoor Channel hasn't attempted to make contact with someone in order to at least post about technical difficulties!
I sent Randy at NCTC an email to see if he knows anything!
Lynn, I said last night I was surprised that Outdoor hadn't posted any kind of note under the cam....as I emailed them as well.
Hi, Everyone,
Dropping in to say hello before hurrying out to do weekly grossery shopping.
Will BBL. :o]
JudyE - all that fresh air and activity at the park will put you
down! Enjoy!
I like this little report from Loch Garten:
Entitled " A Star Is Born "
John Ingham 20 May 2011
Last night I had the privilege of sitting in Loch Garten’s famous ‘forward hide’, covering the overnight shift.
One out, two to go....
...from the Loch Garten Website
Just taking a quick peek in. Lawn is mowed, "weed eated(do not think that is a word. LOL), clipped, edged and blown. All pots are also watered. We have sunshine after the shower this morning. All the severe weather went north. However, more is out there and could come our way. I am ready for a good rain!!!
Evidence of armadillo digging, nothing severe.. yet!!
Came is for a bite to eat and a glass of water. Now back out!
By the way, I am getting concerned about the health of all pets around here.....the way treats are passed out they are all going to be chubby. LOL
Heading out from the office very soon
Best wishes for a good rest-of-the-day to all
xoxo I'm not all caught up on posts, but I DO see that Nugz is doing well ☺
and that Lynn can soon start spying on any and all wildlife near her roost ☺
and that Shirley and the Gang are enjoying the day with Susan
'fraid I've been skimming since we have lots to do today at work
will catch up "2nite" as the texters say
xoxox ☺ ♥
LOLLY, yes, I'm doing the 2 mile w/strechy band now. Wish I'd had it all winter, but there have been many rainy days this Spring when it is just the ticket. On nice days I have a two mile circuit in my hood, with a couple of nice sloping hills, but as Leslie says on the DVD, that does mean stopping to talk to neighbors, cats, dogs and deer, so it really isn't as intense. I just love being outside. The two W's, walking and water are my key to maintaining weight. Love it !
PAULA, happy to hear Nugz has the stitches out and that he's doing so well, all things considered !
I can imagine the excitement across the pond over EJ's wee one! So happy for them!!
Lolly, if you get a trail cam, we will get to see your armadillo's!!!!!
Kay, I will look to see if I still have an article about vacuum cleaner/dog reconciliation!
Nugz lost a lb, so he can have a couple of more biscuits ☺
Lets try it again This was on one of the facebook eagle cam pages
4Men arrest for having a eagle carcass
I noticed that Steve did say a week or SO I know how long a week is I just wonder what a OR SO is LOL
Picked my Bro up a little while ago....heading home to pack up the car and head to the beach!

Judy E thanks for the song.

Enjoy your time Paula see you when you get back.
You'll enjoy tomorrow Shirley ( :
Would like to find a place like Sharon and Bev go too. To enjoy peace and tranquility. Plus pick up on some interesting lifes bits.
Not for sure if anyone else posted this or not this is below the live camera now
Note: The live stream is offline at this time. We are working on the problem, but do not have a time estimate on a resolution. Please return later. Thank you.
My graduate!!
Welcome home, Shirley. Has been a big day for your family.
We are laughing as we are sure Joseph's soccer game was cancelled this evening. Hope the whole tournament is cancelled and rescheduled since he could not play this weekend.
Shirley....great picture!
I like it too, Lolly!!
We were kind of hoping Hunter's baseball game might get rained out, but it didn't. I hope he has a good game--the part of it he is there for. It has been a full day.
I needed to stay home, so I said I would take care of the critters.
