yes, Linda, made from scratch, and totally gluten free and chocolate free, one was choco cake with choco icing, and the other vanilla cake with choco icing, both boys have severe allergies to chocolate and milk and gluten...not sure how the Mom managed that but it is a way of life for them....so it was some kind of soy chocolate I guess !
Even though it will be a quiet Mother's Day for me tomorrow, I am so incredibly blessed to have a son, who has brought me so much joy and happiness since the day he was born......and even before! I'm so proud of the young man he has become.
I am blessed to have a warm and loving step-son as well. He is such a wonderful young man and has a heart of gold!
I am thankful for both of my sons this Mother's Day!!
They are in FL and we are in PA, so I won't be seeing them this year. They'll be with me in my heart, though. ♥♥

Hi, Everyone!
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO EVERYONE HERE--HAVE A BLESSED DAY!!!!
I can't stay here for long--one side of my back is complaining, and this chair is not very comfy. Hubby's knee is still swollen, about 2x normal size, but the ibuprofen is working well, and it's not hurting much. It IS starting to show bruising, though. Not redness, just purple. Should be technicolor before it's done. It's wrapped with an ace bandage, and we're icing it (ice on for 30 min., then off for 30 min.) He's taking 1 ibuprofen liquigel every 4-6 hrs. I'm having a terrible time trying to keep Hubby from walking all over the place! He's driving me NUTS!!! I actually wish his knee was a little more painful than it is, so it would remind him to take it easy. He wanted to go shop at Walmart with me, but I went by myself.
Forgot to mention that Hubby is keeping his leg elevated. We have a "wedge" pillow that really helps with that.
Paula, so sorry to hear that poor Nugz was feeling sick! He must have eaten something that disagreed with him. Thank God he's feeling better!
Lynn, sorry that little Liesl is sore from her vaccinations. Baby aspirin worked for Emma--didn't slow her down a bit! Had a scare with her. She was running around the house, and then plopped down in the living room, chewing and chewing on something that I couldn't see. Got her to open up, and STILL couldn't see anything. Started feeling around, and by golly, she had a paper clip under the edge of her tongue. Got it out OK. It was all kinked up from her chewing on it. She has a nose like a bloodhound's, and it seems as if she manages to find MICROSCOPIC things that she shouldn't have. She would make a great search and rescue dog!

Margy, I too had hoped to be up at least by 5:30 and did so must gardening yesterday, took a Flexeril last night and konked out. Bending over doing all those pots (that I wasn't going to do :)) and being the crazy woman bouncing around on the tractor to mow was more than my bones wanted to do! Woke up and took another flexeril...feels much better now.

HAPPY MOTHER DAY TO ALL
I changed the type of bird feeder. Had brought one that had the squares wire about it. Said Cardinals could get in had it up 2 weeks. Poor Cardinals tried no way. I way going to cut the wire...thought no I'm taking it back because my red belly woodpecker is having a hard time too.
Got a different on that the gackles can't splash all food out. Getting my birds back HAPPY HAPPY
and the woodpeckers are back too.
Oh I'm so excited can't hardly type. I have finally gotten to see the baby Grohawk's. awwwww

Felt so great after taking that first Flexeril this morning I went walking around in the woods in my robe (lol) taking pictures of nests, bird houses, flowers...what a beautiful morning!

Oh forgot to tell you all. The farmer from up behind the mobile home court. Sent people in to take trees down along the fence line in behind us. There was two dead trees but if fall won't hurt anything. I told them, "There are red belly wookpeckers in those two tree". THEY LEFT THE TWO TREES ( :
