JudyEddy said...

poof truder again

Kay said...

I'd have been here on time but had to take Malcolm out first thing. Something I'm not used to ! We had a good night. He hasn't shown the least bit of discomfort with being here or any sign of missing his family at all. I'm so pleased that he's that comfortable with me. He sleeps in his crate at home, but it's large and we decided not to move it for this short stay. Truder just poofed !

JudyEddy said...

we ought to start taking bet He will return I'm sure

JudyEddy said...

belle moving fluff big peice at 11 where he was sitting

JudyEddy said...

that was a fly ober not landing

Kay said...

Belle immediately moves to fluffing at the 12 spot. Saw Truder fly over from left to right.

JudyEddy said...

he changed his mind didn't land

Kay said...

So, anyway, I put Malcolm's bed at my bedside, but you guessed it, he spent the night curled up by me instead. I was up and down a couple of times, but he just stayed put.

Kay said...

Belle sitting at 12 and apparently watching Truder fly around ???

Kay said...

JudyE, hope your "Sunday" was beautiful. Now it's back to the grindstone for five days, huh ?

JudyEddy said...

Wow he hasn't returned I guess he is done for the day bringing belle stick for the nest Now I got to try to get dressed and stop typing

JudyEddy said...

she sure is pruddy

JudyEddy said...

just sitting toward the bottom of nest and POOOF

JudyEddy said...

poof Belle

Kay said...

Sorry I missed Megan ! The weather report looks pretty good, but I must tell you it's been raining in Columbus since 8pm last night. Some lightening and thunder, but nothing fierce.

Andy, OMG, what an evening you and hubby had ! So happy to hear there is no broken bone ! He's going to be might sore for a few days. Glad the doc started him off with some feel good stuff !

Reading back, a big "salture" to those who posted pics of Bluebird babes, White Crowned Sparrows and Alabama's beautiful Flicker w/Camellia ! Will have to catch up on videos and other pics as the day goes by.

I see y'all had a good conversation going about the old drive-ins

Poof Belle !!!!

JudyEddy said...

Now I got to get ready really I do so I will see ya at lunch Enjoyed the coffee and company The hazelnut was really great today Is it a different blend ??

Kay said...

The drive-in talk conjured up memories of Tucson's Polar Bar and Pinkies, side by side on the main E/W drag through town in the 50's. I was able to get my dad's big ol' Suburban frequently---we'd pile 8 or nine girls in for the Saturday night ritual of driving up and down the street with throngs of teens. We took great delight in pulling into one of the drive-ins and having every girl order a different flavor of coke ! Easily entertained as we tried to befuddle the carhop !☺

Red, I think Sonics are all across the country, but I've not seen any here with roller skating carhops !

Kay said...

Nope, it's the same ol' Hazelnut ! A couple of days off must have sharpened your taste buds, Judy !
Have a great day at Wally World ! See ya later today !

JudyEddy said...

I'm in process of posting just one of the mini videos I took Won;t be able to tag anyone till lunch since it won't be done until I leave I took 6 mini ones this is the 3rd on with the stick tug of war bye I hope all has a good day

Kay said...

Wanda, the blouse sounds beautiful ! What a nice way to start this Mother's Day weekend ! When Julie, Hugh and Seth dropped Malcolm off they gave me a huge planter of mixed greenery and geraniums for the deck. Gorgeous ! I'm saving a pretty little package and card sent by my son, Lee, for opening later today or tomorrow. Looks like a book ! I want to spread the fun out. The kids will see older daughter, Eileen, today and she's sending something back with them, so I'll get that Sunday evening. Fun !

Kay said...

Guess that's it for Nestcapades this morning. BBL

I was thinking of you and how much sleep you were getting with Malcolm there...sounds like everything went OK ☺

wonder, if DanaMo is at the nest this morning as she mentioned she might be ??

magpie said...

There sure is not a whole lot of pattern of when and how the Eagles at NCTC are going to visit, and what they are going to do....
today could be a good Fishing Day I suppose
I always wonder what they eat, and where....where is their kitchen table ??

magpie said...

I have a little something from my stepdaughter that I am saving for the morning to open, Kay....
lovely, the plant you got....
can you wait til tomorrow to open what you got from Lee???

Time for me to shake a couple of legs and get ready to go....

I think I can actually watch from work today, finally have the regular supervisor in the building with us !

Best wishes for a Blessed Day, everyone

I'll take one last look here at the blog before I head out...

wonder what Lori is doing? Catching upon some much-needed
z's I bet

Hoping to hear from lots more Momsters and Dadsters today

ttfn xoxo

magpie said...

oh yes, Boo-Hiss, Loretta has to work today also !
Anyone else? Megan works every day !

Wonderful pictures, Loretta, I made a visit, saving the videos for later on ☺

DanaMo said...

No my lazy bottom didn't get out of bed. When Lori suggested I get there at 5:45 I thought there was no way my friend would go with me that early. Plus if they are sitting in the nest I'm not going to be able to see them from the curve. It's not like it's far, but still to go a half hour there and not see them would stink. And my camera is only a 200 zoom. I need something bigger to go from the road. I did talk my way onto the grounds during another visit, but didn't mention it at the time cause I didn't want to get anyone in trouble. It's been a while back now and hopefully no one will say anything about it, but I don't think I will manage it again. I guess maybe I'll wait until the open house, or if there is a group going in June. Who was talking about that anyway? I forget. So many posts! :)

magpie said...

A lot of people were talking about it DanaMo! a nest visit that is

Understand, early is earlier and earlier every day nowadays

Enjoy your Saturday !!

DanaMo said...

Check out my picture blog. I did one of those "denture your dog". It's pretty funny!

DanaMo said...

It does seem like they are arriving earlier. When I first talked about going over, they were arriving at 6:40. That was do-able I could have left my house at 6, but now that they are arriving at 5:45 I would have to leave at 5.

magpie said...

That's an adorable message, DanaMo
the Denture your Dogs ☺

Okay, precious pals...

"See" you later...

Have that Great Day...or Make it that Great Day !!

xox ♥

magpie said...

PS
It's kind of fun to visit the E-M NCTC albums from years past, to see what was going on, on Mother's Day at the Nest !

sure wish, we could have had that, this year :(

Good morning eagle momsters and dadsters. The Southern Delegation has traveled north to pick up some serenity.

Hope you all make a great day.

hedgie said...

Truder in nest

hedgie said...

LOL!!! We hear you, Sharon!!! How farth NORTH is north? Not close enough, I'm sure!!!

hedgie said...

That bird sure has a rough time trying to move sticks. AMATEUR!!!

Andy, SO sorry about Ken's knee.....not good when the fluid is bloody.....chances are he will need it drained again. I hope they injected some steroid and put him on an anitbiotic in the ER. RICE!!!! (rest, ice, compress(ace),elevate)

hedgie said...

Kay, glad that Malcolm settled down easily for the night with you!

Sounds like lots of nice Mother's Day gifts already! Mom's flowers were delivered yesterday....I sent her 18 white roses via FTD.

Christie and Shannon are taking me out for dinner tomorrow afternoon. Of course, as always, it's a dual celebration for me.

hedgie said...

DanaMo, FUNNY denture thing! Never saw that before!!

hedgie said...

Wonder what Belle is doing this lovely morning??

hedgie said...

Poof....off Truder goes.

hedgie said...

Shadow looks like he may be above nest---or maybe that's Belle.

Lolly said...

Good morning! Have been reading the paper and watching. Truder was there a long time. I see his shadow. That is so cool! Saw Belle before she left.

Need to go back and read the blog.

magpie said...

do you think it could be leaf shadows??? I saws it and was very intrigued...
Good Morning from work !

Lolly said...

The shadow at the top (12 or 1) is Truder. Every once in a while you can see a wing stretch.

DanaMo...love the dentured dog. Too funny!

Andy, so sorry about your Dubby! Certainly hope he mends fast and no lingering problems. Not good, for sure.

Morning, Lynn! And how is our Liesl this morning? Does she enjoy lap time?

Judie said...

Good morning!

Yes, it is a good morning as I have submitted final course grades to the Registrar. I'm sure there will be a few email complaints but: THE SEMESTER IS OVER -- OVER, DO YOU HEAR ME -- OVER!!!

Lolly said...

Good morning to you too, Margy!

Lolly said...

There, Margy! Did you see THE SHADOW move?

Lolly said...

Yea!!!! Judie! Hear you loud and clear! Now are you going to be having a class anytime soon?

Judie said...

Andy, sorry about hubby and sure hope his knee is better this morning.

Lolly, congratulations to Joseph. Have a nice visit with whomever shows up tomorrow.

Wanda, glad you had a nice "Mother's Day" with GG.

I also think the double rainbow was a special sign for Paula and Nugz. Enjoy the beach, Paula.

Glo, I really like the picture of the grist mill. Thanks for sharing.

Judie said...

The intruder is in-and-out so often, should he stay around we could consider yo-yo for a name.

glo said...

Good morning everyone. I see there has been a nest visit. Plans will be underway for so many this weekend, I wanted to pop in quickly before running errands to wish all of you a wonderful weekend and especially Happy Mothers Day. I am so grateful that I have been given the opportunity to be a Mom to 2 really special young adults OK well one of them actually is over the hill now shhhh don't tell anyone, but either way they are both so very special indeed. Cherished years for sure when they were in the growing up years: wonderful busy times indeed.

magpie said...

Ok Loly!
I believe you but have to take your word for it!!
Watching nest, taking emergency phones
and telling police where to go !!

LOL

they are good guys, lots going on in the community today, including some kind of motorcycle rally around noon.....

xoxox

magpie said...

Oh My!

I se eagle head shadow moving !!
how about that!!!

Great to see some more folks this morning....always is, always will be

Lolly said...

Poof goes THE SHADOW! Then saw him below the nest. That was entertaining.☺

Lolly said...

Hey, Margy, I would not lead you astray! LOL

Judie said...

Oh my goodness, Kay, so glad I am catching up. Thought Malcolm was a grandson -- now I realize he is a dog. Thought it odd to keep a grandkid in a crate. Well, I certainly won't forget that anytime soon. Glad you both had a peaceful evening.

Wishing Megan a terrific market day.

No, Lolly, no class until Fall semester. Will be doing some reading/regrouping for lectures but it is a more relaxed pace.

Okay, think I will iron the one blouse that needs it and may try to clean the oven door so I can turn on the self-clean. Want to get the oven clean before weather turns hot/humid.

Margy, sorry you and Lowreeda have to work. Tomorrow are days for pleasure?

Hi to Lynn, DanaMo, Sharon, JudyE and any others I missed.

BBL

Judie said...

Oh my goodness, please don't let this get out but it is National TRAIN Day. Shhhhhh!

Lolly said...

Judie...do not say the T word! You know it sets Sharon off!

hedgie said...

Yes, the shadow was definitely a bird....of course, might not have been an eagle...but wing definition was obvious when it flapped!

Oh, Lolly, Liesl loves lap time and kisses. She is doing really well. Sleeps like a log for about 10 hrs. at night!! It's as if her internal clock goes by the darkness!! She may not be a happy pup in a little while---vet visit....rabies shot and probably bloodwork before heartworm med can be given (they have to make sure a dog doesn't have them before they can start the preventative).

hedgie said...

My 7AM work crew (SIL and his bro) have yet to show up---or call. Geesh....guess my money isn't good enough. Makes me angry.

Lolly said...

I am not sure, but I think I saw a second egg under the Loon.

hedgie said...

I see MArgy gave you a new name, LOLY!!! Holy Moly, Loly!!

Glo, I, too, have been blessed with two special kids! Love my girls! And my grandgirls, too!

TRAIN Day??? Oh, my....maybe Sharon is too busy at Ripley to notice!!! Fat chance!

Lynne2 said...

Good morning! Been lurking and doing things around here.

Lynn, NO heartworm test needed under 6 months of age! And ask the vet what dose of baby aspirin you can give her for her weight because she'll likely be sore from vaccinations.

hedgie said...

Judie----found my short ribs in the freezer!!! Thawing now! Will brown when we get back from the vet and then put in crock pot...they don't need a whole day to cook.
Did buy a bag of navy beans yesterday, so have them on hand and will put on a pot of bean soup with the Easter hambone on the next rainy day!

Lynne2 said...

Loly? LOL! That's as good as my typo Looly!

Geesh Lynn, they were supposed to be at your house at 7 and they are STILL not there? Hope they at least called to tell you they are going to be very late.

Lolly said...

Do not blame you for being mad, Lynn. It is so frustrating when people say they will do something at a certain time and not show up or even not come!

Insurance adjuster called. She sounds very young. Said she will be here tomorrow 7:30-7:45. Going up to look at the roof. Never had a female insurance adjuster before.
That is what my brother did, ran his own business. He retired this spring. Glad of that1 Did not like him still climbing up on roofs.

Lolly said...

Looly, Loly, Hey You,.....I answer to all! Just call me Lumbering Loony Looly Loly!
But do not call me fat! LOL

Okay, have house cleaning to do, not much, and food prep to do, but not much but it is time for me to get busy.

I will be peeking in occasionally!

Oh, and I think in my second life I will come back as a Loon. ☺ Look at that view and just floating around all day seems very peaceful! Just do NOT put a cam on me when I lay an egg! Saw where Larry had never seen that behavior before when she lay there for 30 min after laying the egg. He was beginning to be concerned. Yikes!

See ya!

hedgie said...

Thanks, Lynne!!! So they can't get heartworms at an early age?
Yep, baby ASA on hand!

hedgie said...

No, they did NOT call.....and I'm sure as heck NOT calling them, rither. Too ticked to talk to them.

Lolly, I always say "call me anything, just don't call me late for dinner!!" Remember that old saying??!! And, no, we'll never call you fat!

wvgal_dana said...

Good Morning ALL ( :

Love hearing the Loons call.

Yesterday stayed intown longer than I was going to. Mom started that mowing and I just didn't want to leave her. I cut a couple of things. Brush porch and walk off for her. So I did help alittle.

Hope and keeping up prayers for those needing them.

I feel so much like an idiot. Daughter kept saying take the pictures off. Would have had one for Mom on here. All lost because of me. dang I do see them in my mind the wonderful times we had.

Lynn, the best test for HW is the antigen test, and in puppies under 6 mos. old because even if bitten by an infected mosquito at birth, it would take 6 1/2 mos for the test to show positive. So testing before that is useless.

wvgal_dana said...

Hedgie-Lynn I love hearing of you and Liesl...this is so much more happiness in a dog for you. I am thrilled it is like it is for you and Liesl. ( : ( : ♥♥

Sharon Has joined the Northern delegation today. She is otherwise occupied and too busy for a Choo choo ride is my guess. I am in LM bigtime and trying to get something done inside this house. Lots doen outside all week but well lets say I always tell myself Dex doesn't mind but its bad enough that even I am starting to mind.

Costume Lady said...

GOOD MORNING...
Lots doing outside here, too, Glo. Capt. Gene is mowing and I am washing clothes. Garden weeds are going crazy and there is too much mud to get in there and do much of anything. We have decided to not have our regular garden this year. Gene has put weed killer on the whole garden. We have 12 big containers which we are going to set on Weed Out fabric and fill with potting soil. Then we will plant tomatoes, squash, peppers and other plants in them. We think we can easily handle a specialized garden like that here at our house, then that will give us time and energy to help with GG's garden. We will plant beans there. Her soil grows the most delicious green beans that you have ever tasted! Squash does well there, also.

Have a good day♥

Costume Lady said...

Forgot...Denise is starting her own Photography Studio in her basement. She has a few weddings and others which I have forgotten, in the making.
She took a beautiful photo of Jayden in GG's yard last evening. Looks like it was done in her studio. I have posted it in my JUST FOR FUN Blog.
