I want to share this with you all. I apologize for it being long. Andrew put this on Facebook about a large American subculture of marijuana smokers, for whom 4/20 is a day of reverence and even activism for the controversial drug.

Okay. This whole 420 thing really, really bothers me. Yay! Let us celebrate something that is completely illegal by destroying more brain cells. Sounds like a great time... Grow up.

Then somebody put on there: Lol. I love how you know absolutely nothing about it.

Andrew said: Oh I'm sorry that I am not an expert on an illegal drug. Excuse me for focusing on school and getting an education rather than being so COOL and smoking weed all the time. Excuse me for wanting to make something out of my life and not wind up just another washed up junkie.

I am so glad you guys think you are all so awesome because you get together and smoke weed all the time. Where in the heck is that going to get you in life? Where is not going to class going to get you? Nowhere. That is where.

I will go on not knowing a thing about weed while you are all wasting your time "going" to school just so that you can be a part of the drumlins or to hang out with your buds. See ya at McDonalds in a few years guys.

I AM SO PROUD OF HIM!!!!

Hello everyone.

Got my "do" did, back home for 4 loads of laundry, made dinner, cleaned up, tired, ankle aching.

Hoda, I hope you can figure out all the "humor" and check with Lynn (Hedgie) if you still are unsure.

School tomorrow. Last class before the final exam.

Going to set the night light for 11:00pm. I'm sure Andy will set the alarm system for us when she comes in the door. Restful sleep for everyone.

paula eagleholic said...

Great response by Andrew!

Hoda said...

I am OK with the humour, thanks Judie. Lynn did explain and I was teasing I should have put a few smiley faces.

Sissy YES!!! Wonderful response by Andrew...

Just a quick Hi before leaving for dinner have been reading the blog and trying to catch up!

We have really had a cool day, it stayed in the 60's. More mulch spread but still not finished. Our caladium bulbs are supposed to arrived tomorrow. So, once we get those planted and the rest of the mulch spread, we should be set. Whew!!!!!! 300 bulbs ordered and we give about 30 of those to Laurel. It is work to get them all planted.

Loving all the avatars!

Back after dinner!

Kay said...

No, Hoda, you get the usual wax for The Split, that occurs with the 200 and 400 and 600...turn over. The person who opens the blog, sees that Steve has started a new thread and goes into the "old" blog to say "New Thread" is the person who gets the PSF (Poop Shot Facial) or the FT (Fishy Toes). Lynne2 and I certainly didn't know what a controversy would ensue when we said we thought the New Thread caller deserved a prize for letting all of us know to go back out and in again on a new thread ! It didn't seem fair to give such a great prize of wax for The Split and nothing for the New Thread. I'm betting I'm doing nothing but adding to the puzzle with this. LOL

Kay said...

Lolly, wowee, zowee, 300 bulbs ! It's going to be gorgeous !

Kay said...

Sissy, no wonder you and Sharon are so very proud of Andrew. Not only a great musical talent but a good head on his shoulders as well !

Lynne2 said...

OK let's review

on the hundreds, WAX

Person doing the call over to a new thread PSF (poop shoot facial)

Person posting first after a split, FISHICURE

If you play your cards right, you can get a whole beauty treatment!

I will be conducting a quiz in the morning.

Hoda said...

I am laughing KAY IM!!!;););)!!!
I was watching out for Belle and she was a no show again tonight...
After Truder's performance on Sunday I do not blame her an awkward little chap!!! I would have liked to see her though...

Kay said...

Lynne2, I did muddy the waters ! Thanks for the concise explanation ! I had the Fishicure out of place. Sorry guys !

A virtual day at the spa awaits ! A pretty face, pretty toes and waxing in the location(s) of your choosing. ☺

Lolly said...

Back from dinner, watching AI, and lurking!☺

Lynne2 said...

Good for Andrew for standing up for his beliefs! And very well said, too. He's an amazing kid Sharon...I'm proud of YOU! You did something so very right raising him!
Personally, in my lifetime, I have seen FAR more lives ruined by alcohol, and by Drs prescribing pain medication like so much candy. Close friends and family alike. It's why I don't drink, and why I will continue to refuse the higher end pain pills the Drs are so happy to tell me I can have for my back.

Lynne2 said...

Kay, muddy the waters....you may be on to something. MUD BATHS!!! OK, how about a MUD BATH for the person who posts on the old thread AFTER the new thread has been announced!

I'm getting carried away....

Kay said...

Hoda, you're right, the nest is in darkness and we'll not see our Belle tonight. I figure she got tired of being assaulted every time she lit on the nest and is just keeping an eye on it from a distance. The experts say the nest site is picked by the female and the nest building is done to her specifications. Also that a female eagle will have a stronger tie to the nest she's created than she does to her mate, so won't easily abandon it. If that is true, it seems she'll be determined to keep her nest, even if it does mean putting up with Truder the Marauder.

Kay said...

LOL x 2, Lynne2 ! Way to go ! This latest suggestion will be good for at least another few hours of discussion !!!! Hope we aren't jeopardizing our Momster status with all this tomfoolery ! ;o)

Lynne2 said...

OK folks on Facebook, I have just shared Tracey's picture of the baby 'possums. Not sure of the status of them, but she took them to the wildlife rehabber this morning. Sorry I can't post them here for everyone to see.

PA Nana said...

LYnne & Kay, you are killing me with laughter.

JudyE your blog is great. What a little beauty.

Lynne2 said...

Kay, they are going to call the funny farm to come get us! RUN!

hedgie said...

Sissy, SO glad to see Andrew stand up to fools like that! He's a very mature young man, and defnintely hasa his head on straight! Mentioning the drumline indicates that a fellow musician is one of the potheads, huh? Maybe they need to drug test band members like they do the athletes.

Kay said...

Lynne, I'm donning my camoflage gear and heading out immediately !

PA Nana, love that avatar. Looks like the way the Easter Bunny must feel after a night of hiding eggs all over America !

Lynne2 said...

Maybe Belle is roosting with Lib, having realized her mistake in cavorting with the Truder. Soon he'll give up and go find another gal pal and all will be back to normal.

Lolly said...

Yep, you will likely be black balled out of the momsters. LOL

Interesting thing happened today. Laurel's best childhood friend has recently moved to S. Carolina and today she sent me two facebooks pictures from Carolina Raptor Raptor Center. She wanted me to know about it. LOL Also, one picture was of a sign for an owl they have there, named "Laurel".

Lynne2 said...

yeah, why is it that only the school athletes get drug tested?

WOW, it is a beautiful night! We had such a nice walk with the dogs, the sunset was just beautiful. The air is cooler and there is a wonderful breeze!

Lynne2 said...

wow, that's pretty funny Lolly! Glad she found the place and it sure was nice of her to alert you to it!

magpie said...

Wowser, the wind is a'howling here in Martinsburg WV....

Good Evening Eagle Pals !

Totally love the new avatars....
including, of course, Sharon's TRAIN

Speaking of "Wowser" - - do you think Jo is home now ??

sure miss her posts !

Kay said...

Lynne, we can hope ! I wish we had some contact with that man or couple across the road. Some of the gals talked to them and at least one was invited to view the nest from their porch or balcony ??? They could probably tell us a lot about the comings and goings of Belle and t.. Plus telling us if any other eagles have been around.

magpie said...

Prayers for Granny Riffe Sissy and You ALSO, sure sorry you had to return to work so soon, and the bummer of the pre-existing condition pre-empting some of the insurance coverage . WOOF !

NatureNut said...

Good Evening Eagle Buds. I think a saw a Bobblehead(s)!!!!!!

Lolly, that is comical! Assuming you told her that you were quite familiar with Savannah and Derek!
Aw, owl Laurel....Who, Who....

Sounds like a great day with Seth, Kay, and Malcolm too

What drama at the White Rock BC eagle nest web cam...an intruder eagle is flying so close that it comes within the range of the wide angled camera and Ma got off the cup after getting so agitated and flew at it a few times and Pa chased it away and is now standing guard...two fish in the pantry and the Ma eagle continues to shriek...Eagles do not have an easy life I do not think.

Kay said...

Can you all tell that there is nothing on Wednesday night TV that interests me ? I have two books, each bookmarked at the half way point, but don't feel like reading. I just feel like hanging out here and bugging the heck out youse guys ! ;o)

Lolly said...

The nest is really dark tonight. No amount of tilking works!

Lynne2 said...

Hoda, I think none in nature have an easy life.

I don't remember hearing/seeing so many inturder incidents in the couple of years I've been watching.

Lolly said...

Must be the increase in population of the eagles.

Headlights just really lit up the nest.

GREAT response by Sharon's Andrew to the Weed-Heads...

and Lynne, your post about alcohol and pain-killers was right on....

Be back later.....

Hedgie, Thanks for your kind remarks about National Telecommunicator's Week last week...

Kay said...

Ugh, Lynne2 ! Is this your first sighting of one of those critters, indoor I mean ?

Kay said...

Welcome to the club, Margy ! It makes me feel sooo much better when others forget to remember what they forgot to say.

Lynne2 said...

HA! Not a prayer Kay. Today I have drowned about 30 of them. We had TERRIBLE problems last late summer and fall....some days killing 200 or more. Now that it's warming up, they are crawling out of the walls again. They have been in our coffee maker, the computer printer, the DVD player, shoes, clothes, dresser drawers, crawling on the bed, the bath towels have to be checked before we can dry off, on the remote, the clock radio...there are few places where we haven't had them at this point.

JudyEddy said...

Gonna Poof for the night See you all in the am I'll miss the morning visit don't get up till after 7 get to sleep in Yeah! God Bless this nest and all whom watch

Kay said...

How gross, Lynne2, we're being taken over by stinkbugs and bedbugs ! Both seem resistant to any of the usual pest control remedies. Anything strong enough to eradicate them is illegal to use.

Kay said...

Night, night JudyE, enjoy that sleep in !

Busy day today and feeling rather exhausted now....

Kay said...

Heading for bed with a book, hoping to fall asleep soon so I can join the early birds and then move on over to NBG for the banding.

Here are my evening prayers~

For those backaches or sniffles or knees racked with pain.
For the headaches and heartaches, and those sick of rain.

For esophageal glitches, gall bladders and hips.
For dog ears n' chest pains and even chapped lips !

For those threatened by wild fires or stinkbugs and pests.
For the eagles with sweet chicks or eggs in their nests.

For Lib who is soaring somewhere out of sight.
Yes, I pray for you all and to all, a Goodnight !

Lynne2 said...

Hi Linda! Yep we've been pretty chatty!

Kay, that's really great!!! Thank you!

Just killed 15 SBs in the bedroom alone. I'll never get to sleep. But I am heading for the shower....

Lolly said...

That is a beautiful eagle at White Rock. Why is Turd Bird just so unappealing?

Lolly said...

Kay..............I love it!!! You are very talented!

Lynne2 said...

He's just a gangling teenager, that's all. He'll be a beautiful eagle one day!

Linda said...

Lynne2 - Sorry the bugs are driving you crazy. Who cares what's legal to use or not.....if it works and you can get it to get rid of the bugs, go for it!

Have you looked at the website called doityourselfpestcontrol.com?

Do a search on "stink" and it will show you some stuff for the bugs. Don't know if it will work or not, but we got some of this stuff called Bifen It, when we were in Florida and it was awesome. We've used it up here in PA a few times outside the house and was great.

It might be better than the local home and garden store!

Lolly said...

Ya think? LOL

Lynne2 said...

I'll check it out Linda. I really hesitate to try thing because we have the dogs and cats in the house. But really, I can't live like this...I'm not a weenie, but these are just ridiculous.

Lynne2 said...

oh, I think he will. Everything is beautiful, in it's own way!

DISCLAIMER: the above statement EXCLUDES stinkbugs.

hedgie said...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JUSTIN!!!

Linda said...

There are some things you can spray on the exterior of the house, and around the doors and windows on the outside. If you keep the animals away for an hour or two until it dries, I think you're okay. Are your cats indoor or outdoor cats?

Lolly said...

Oh, poor little stink bugs!

Linda said...

Hi Lolly!! How's your back feeling?

Lynne2 said...

Indoor. We are now planning on covering the outside of the air conditioners with screens. MANY got in through them last summer. I'll check out that site. I really feel bad for the farmers...dire predictions of the population going way up this year. UGH.

magpie said...

NO thanks, I think I'll skip your blog, Lynne...I have been blessedly lucky to have very few of what I think is on your blog.

Kay! Wonderful poetry, really neat

And I still have not remembered what I forgot :(

Lynne2 said...

Going to really get in the shower now!

hedgie said...

Bear report Really cute pic of Faith!!

Red said...

Whats a man to do on the splits and new threads. Not sure I would want a wax job or PSF. Could I just get the Fishicure for everything? I've been having nightmares about the waxing after reading the story. Grin ☺

magpie said...

We have a new set of questions we ask when taking a call for a possible stroke :
1) Ask the patient to smile
2) Ask the patient to try to raise both arms up in the air
3) Ask the patient to say: The Early Bird Catches the Worm

I nearly expect people to get upset with us when we do this, but so far, all have complied willingly....

the results of how the patient does, is very important information for the medics

Just thought of that....because I had a call like that yesterday

I work at 9-1-1 by the way for some who might not have known that

hedgie said...

Lynne, don't see a FB post with the possums....:(

Linda said...

Hi Lynn!

magpie said...

But what is sad, is to listen to the patient trying to say those words :(

Linda said...

...and Margy! How ya doin'?

Just here for a short visit. I just can't keep up with this blog!!

magpie said...

I'm going to get lost here in my projects, so think I should say
Good Night! while some of you are still up and about.

I played in the dirt earlier tonight, getting my patio planters ready and a few things planted....it was GREAT ! Can't wait for some new Megan Flowers ☺

will do some night-owling on the flip side of what I'm working on

God Bless This Nest, and
God Bless Us, Every One

xoxo ♥

magpie said...

doin' okay Linda....just a little pensive tonight

Lolly said...

Hi Linda! The ol' back is doing okay. Walked my 2 miles today and then worked in the yard. There were times when I thought, uh oh, but I did fine. Thanks, for asking!

Lolly said...

Watching White Rock. Just got my first glimpse of the new baby! LOL It looked like mom tried to roll the new chick and not the egg. Too funny!

magpie said...

I can't keep up either, there are so many links and nests I haven't treated myself to yet, and wish I could comment and offer encouragement on everyone's doin's

But, Know that I Care ! ♥

magpie said...

Lolly
I am experiencing Planter's Back!

hope yours keeps getting better

Lolly said...

This blog will drive you crazy trying to stay caught up! I love it though when we get on a funny streak!

Linda said...

Well, take it easy, Lolly! Glad you're doing better.

Margy - Hope you get a good nights rest!

Lynne2 - If you come back after your shower, Have a good night.

Nice to touch base even if for just a little while.

I'm feeling a migraine.....again, so I am going to take something and go to bed in the hopes I have caught it soon enough. I thought the frequency of the migraines would subside after tax season was over, but it hasn't let up just yet!!

Can you believe we're expecting flurries tomorrow? Ugh.....wanting spring to come and stay.

I did feel so bad for those eagles at Decorah yesterday. Glad they did okay!

Lolly said...

Oh, dear! Something big brought in for dinner at White Rock!

Linda said...

So.......I'm saying Good Night, Sweet Dreams, Blessings and Prayers for All. You're all in my prayers....♥♥♥

Hopefully, I will do a bit more catching up tomorrow!!

Hugs to all!

PA Nana said...

Lynne, i was attacked by a stink bug just putting on my pjs. Can't imagine that many a day.

Hi Margy! Nice to "see" you again.

Kay, love your poem. You are so talented.

This blog has gotten to be a focal point of my day. Thanks to all on here. Love you all!

Lolly said...

Oh, Linda, so sorry about the headache. Migraines are not fun! Have never had one, but our son, Michael, used to have them all the time. I think he has them less often now.

Lolly said...

Anyone else looking at White Rock? Can not tell what was brought in for din din.

Hoda said...

White Rock Pa is sooooo good about providing, two fish today and now a furry creature of sorts...the chick is beautiful...

Linda said...

Yeah, Lolly....they're not fun. Unfortunately my son suffers from them, too. He gets migraines from both sides of the family. Poor thing.

Lolly said...

Mom, is looking at it as if to say, "I really asked for fresh fish."

Linda said...

Whoops....didn't I already say good night??

Hi Hoda!!

Okay, now I'm going to bed FOR SURE!!

Night ♥♥♥

hedgie said...

Great poem, KayIM!

Red, LOL.....we'll come with some kind of prize for you and Jim!

Lynne....maybve you all should start caulking, too!

Lolly said...

Michael got his while in high school and continued through college. At one time he was giving himself injections. He does not report to Momma anymore, but I really do not think he gets them as often. He played football all through college. I do not think that helped.

Lolly said...

Linda was pulling a Margy!!! ☺

Hoda said...

Lolly I think it might be a rabbit.
Hello Linda and goodnight.

Lolly said...

Well, Red may not need WAX but I see no reason that he should get out of having a PSF or a fishicure.
For all he knows a PSF could be the best after shave ever!!!

Lolly said...

Rabbit?? Might have to look closer. Nothing quite looking a dead animal bodies!

Lolly said...

Meant...nothing quite like looking at dead animals.

hedgie said...

Congrats to White Rock!

Margy, don't get TOO pensive. :)

Linda, hope the migraine leaves quickly. No fun.

No moon yet.....stars are out, tho', so not a heavy cloud cover....so must be a really late moon rising time. Being full, it should be bright.

Lolly said...

I really need to proof read! LOL

Lynne2 said...

Lynn, we DID caulk. THere are just so many gaps and holes in this place that it's impossible to find them all. Not a very well put together house, that's for sure. BIG holes in places. Pointless to ask the landlord to try to fix them. We have to bite our tongues on many things.

paula eagleholic said...

Yea, guys can get facials and fishy toes....

Love the poem, Kay!

Had a nice dinner, now have got to get the bills paid before I head to the beach!

Loved reading the blog tonight..

Pssst, Lynne, no stink bugs at the beach...(not yet anyhow!)

Lynne2 said...

the possums are there Lynn, but I reposted them so look again on my profile! Tracey had little time to talk to the rehabber, but they will do what they can. But they are likely way too young to survive.

Lolly said...

News is coming on soon. Fire did not spread as much today. It is just horrible though. So many homes lost, large and small. :(

Lynne2 said...

I hope they never make it to the beach Paula!

Men apparently CAN get waxed. Heard an ad on the radio yesterday for some place offering "get your chest done and the back will be done for free"...OUCH!!!

Lynne2 said...

It is sad Lolly. I whine about my stinkbugs, but I KNOW how blessed we are. I am glad the fires didn't spread as much today.

hedgie said...

Wow...the Bifen It has a 3 mo. residual. And it's a lot cheaper than other products. Think I'll get me some of that!

hedgie said...

News and then tub for me. Will say my goodnights now. PRayers for all. Sure hope early birds see our Belle in the morning.

Lolly said...

Lynne, I have not seen the opposum picture either. I looked on your wall.

Lynne2 said...

OK I cannot explain why you all can't see that post!

Lynne2 said...

Maybe Tracey has a setting that only her actual friends can see it?

hedgie said...

P.S. Lynne, FB is just plain stoooopid. I still don't see your pics. Makes NO sense! Just shows your games!!!!

Lynne2 said...

I will get them an post on my blog....right after my Heron pics and the ones from today that I haven't done yet! LOL!

Been trying to read part of comments~~haven't gotten very far!
Well, the eyeballs want to close & work tomorrow, so I'm going to call it a day---A Very Good One.

Have to tell you of ONE unusual phone call at Park. Gentleman called in AM to reserve canoes for TH AM.He had called the Pax Riverkeeper (there is one)wanting information about Triadeplhia Dam & if they were going to release any water! The RK told him to check with whatever place he was going to visit. They are supposed to let folks know when that happens.(Not always!!)Told him we hadn't heard anything, so he asked to be called if we'll be getting flooded!!!! We're so far from the dam, it hardly effects us! Well that was just one of many today. Spring fever must have hit---a young lady came in to ask if she could get married at Park!!! She could, but everything's probably booked. I'm going to love it there Sat. 2 other Comm. Ctrs. are using our big group camp for egg roll and jellybean something--moon bounce, etc. The joint will be jumpin'!
Pleasant Feather Dreams to all ;>)

Lynne2 said...

OK, tried one more time....

Where is Shirley tonight?

paula eagleholic said...

Lynne, if you shared it from Tracey, it's probably her settings, not yours.

Lynne2 said...

yeah, that's what I'm thinking Paula.

Lolly said...

Keep the prayers going, only please get specific to rain ON the fire. ☺ It rained at Possum Kingdom Lake today but not on the fire. Grrrr! Storm now north of
Ft. Worth.

Lynne2 said...

Hope Scooter the Weather Radio Dog is on alert! Looks like Red has some weather coming his way tonight.

Well, Tracey's MIL posted a comment on my link, so SHE can see it. But she is a direct friend of Tracey's.

paula eagleholic said...

Lolly sure wish we could send our wet weather your way...too much of it here...

Lynne2 said...

and more to come for the weekend. DANG! We're heading to my MIL's and the forecast is rotten.

Lynne2 said...

Going to hit the hay...want to be bright eyed and bushy tailed for banding in the AM!

More yard work tomorrow and going to Denton for a big T-ball game. Wahoo! So, I asked Jacob Saturday, how was your game? He replied, "I hit two balls way out, as usual." Stinker!!!!!

Then Saturday we are going to Dallas for a soccer game. Time to see Zacharoo do his thing...which is run wild. LOL They think he will be okay to play. Head wound is mending just fine.

Sunday, after church, it is back to Dallas for family Easter fun.

Lolly said...

I am leaving now. Time to put my nose in my kindle.

Would you believe it is presently 62? Chilly! Love it!

Lynne, I am thinking that the light at NCTC may be some kind of security set up, where the light comes on when something walks or flies in front of the "eye". Our Trail Cam flashes a really big light when an animal passes by or in front of it.

GG's doctor reiterated that her X Rays showed no breaks and that it is her arthritis giving her a fit. He would not give me any more pain pills for her, said they may make her woozy and wobbly and cause another fall. Give her 2 Tylenol if her pain pill doesn't see her through the day. TYLENOL?? Does he actually think that Tylenol is going to help pain that is so great that we thought her hip was broken?!!

I did get her to take a nap and fixed her supper/dinner while she slept. She was not hungry when she went to lay down, but when she got up, she ate with gusto...a large baked sweet potato, Chicken with red & green peppers and linguine and some diced peaches.

Our porch is looking good...will be finished tomorrow, if all goes as planned.

Need some sleep...

Hi, Everyone,

I got home from school about 45 minutes ago, and have been trying to catch up here.

Guess prayers are needed for Granny Riffe and for Sissy! You've got mine, for sure! Say, that was a great reply to the potheads from Andrew. No WONDER you are so proud of him, Sharon and Sissy!

Prayers for GG, too. Have you ever considered acupuncture for her? I know they've even used it for general anesthesia in the Far East. No side effects, either.

Prayers for Nugz to heal quickly.

Prayers for the baby possums, too.

Praying that we see Belle soon! Golly, do we have to worry about HER now?! TEAM LIBERTY FOREVER!!!!

Well, I am pretty worn out. Going to call it a night. Prayers for everyone have been said. Praying that everyone sleeps soundly tonight. I'll try to get here early enough to see the banding tomorrow. The eye-scanner security and WV Dana's thumbprint-scanner security are enabled. The porch light is on. God bless, and goodnight! Love all of you! :o]

Good Thursday Morning in Eagle Land!

KayIM - thank you for the NBG eagle banding at 9AM (eastern time) reminder - keep reminding us! That's always a good one to watch.

But, Favorite Eagle Banding Broadcast Award has got to go to West End with Dive Bombing mom and dad! Love that nest but wouldn't go near it without goggles and a big helmet!

SHIRLEY - I read it, but forgot to say Congratulations on your retirement decision! Yeah for you! A new chapter in your life to do whatever you want to do.

LYNN - I knew about poop shoot facials, was just too tired to even figure out that PSF = poop shoot facial. DUH! As always, thanks for the help. :)

PAULA - Extra biscuits and love for Nugz. I just hate that they can't tell us how they feel. I hope you have a wonderful holiday at the beach. Post some pictures, please. :)

GLO - I've been voting daily for your picture. You are just such an awesome photog! I've heard about the Methodists making Pastors and families move when changes are made, but when a Pastor dies special consideration should be given the spouse. I understand the thinking but it's a CHURCH not a business though I know they're run nearly the same.

DANA MO - Welcome to Easter Vacation, where it's still Easter Vacation NOT "spring break!" :)

Off to the dark hole I call my closet to find something that fits!

Lori O. said...

Margy - what are you doing up so late? Hope you plan on sleeping past nest visit time.

JuDY E - Loved your blog photos - please share the websites.

NC Suzan - I really like your avatar - the most festive Easter eggs ever!

GEULA - WE MISS YOUR EARLY MORNING VISITS!

Lori O. said...

Dear God, please let us see BELLE this morning so we know she's okay.

Kay said...

AAAHHHHLori, you keep starting my day off with a little shiver of delight and a smile!☺ The coffee is especially delicious today, thank you !

I'm like a kid on Christmas morning when NBG banding day comes along ! I love seeing the eaglets up close and marvel at the skill of the tree service and staff. They aren't placing a transmitter on an eaglet this year, just banding.

My Vian, OK eaglets are beginning to branch. A few days ago Sutter did their banding and placed a transmitter on one of the two. The oldest escaped, flew away, as they frightened him at the nest. He flew something like 3/4 of a mile and then wasn't seen again until yesterday when he made it back to the nest. I thought he was a goner as he'd not completed flight school and hunting lessons. Big thrill and sigh of relief to see him back. The center admits they should have banded much earlier, but there was some hang up in delivery of the transmitter or somthing like that. Nest drama abounds this year !

Lori, good prayer--hope to see Belle even if it does mean putting up with Truder, too. Although we can hope, as someone speculateded earlier, that she's reconnected with Lib !

Thanks to all who enjoyed my prayer poem. Walt Whitman I'm not, but it was fun composing that little ditty.

Lori O. said...

Kay, you should make plans to come down for NGB banding next year. It's a big to-do there and they let the public in.

Lori O. said...

Oh yes, I forgot, that was a great poem Kay!

See why I need the reminders? :)

Lori O. said...

that was either a big gust of wind or someone landed on the camera!

Lori O. said...

It's the wind.

Kay said...

Daylight at the nest !

JudyE said she'd be sleeping in today and perhaps DanaMo will, too, on this 1st day of Easter Vacation--if the dogs will give her a little break, that is. Margy was up way too late---we may be on our own today, Lori.

Lori O. said...

We can do it Kay. Bold and CAPS in case they come when I'm doing something here at work that I can't get away.

Lori O. said...

Like right now Kay - BB in 5 min.

Kay said...

Got cha' !

Lori O. said...

I'm back. Thanks Kay!

Kay said...

Color at the nest !

Kay said...

Glad you're back, Lori,--now i'll out for a couple of minutes.

Lori O. said...

yay, but where are Belle and Truder?

DanaMo said...

Good morning Kay and Lori-the dogs did let me sleep in a whole extra hour!

DanaMo said...

It's not quite 6:30 I don't get disappointed until about 6:45. I hope they both show up this morning. It sounds like we haven't seen Belle for a few days.

Kay said...

I'm back !

Lori O. said...

Gotcha. Nothing happened. Still waiting.

Kay said...

Dana, good to "see" you ! Good doggies ! I hoped you'd get a little extra rest today.

DanaMo said...

So we wait...at least we have coffee, at least I do.

DanaMo said...

My diet starts today. I have to be good! I thought I did well yesterday, then I remembered I had a donut at break.

Today's nest weather- cooler, With highs in the low 60's. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
Very windy out as you can probably see from watching the nest.
Hello Lori and Kay, Have a great morning!
Walking outside to check the gh

Lori O. said...

We really need to see Belle today.

magpie said...

Good Morning....
Kay, Lori, DanaMo, and Megan...and, anyone else up and watching but not posting like me!

Yes, windy, it sure is...
yesterday in the 80's - today, well, not quite so warm.

Thanks for the weather report, Megan now I will go pick out my clothes for the day

I hope to watch from work. Sure hope Belle makes a nest visit today sometime or another. I still wonder what the eagles are eating these days with the river being so muddy

have some things to finish up here .....like my morning prayers for example! And then head out to work

Best wishes for a good day, everyone
xoxo ☺ ♥

Kay said...

Good morning Megan n' Margy ! Thanks for the weather report--hope all is well at the gh, Megan.
Hope it's good work day, Margy, with no big emergencies, allowing for nest watching time.

Lori O. said...

Have a great day Margy!

Do you see the river on your way to/from work?

Say prayers that Belle puts in an appearance at the nest. Then again if she's found Liberty again, I hope they go wherever they want to find peace and love again.

Judie said...

Good morning to everyone.

Have a lovely day.

Kay said...

Top o' the morning to you, Judie ! Wishing you a good day as well !

DanaMo said...

Good morning Judie and Megan. Can't believe no visit this morning. I moved away from the computer but could see it from the couch.

Have a great day !

Lynne2 said...

GOOD MORNING!!!! Finally getting a minute to SIT. Sorry Belle didn't make an appearance this morning again. And no Truder.....hmmmm. Well, I am wondering if we'll see less and less of them with true nesting season over since there are no babies....

Lori O. said...

Bye Kay, have a great day.

Morning Lynne!

Welcome to Easter Break DanaMO!

Lori O. said...

Lynne, I'm holding out hope they'll still pop in this morning.
