I'm following you, Lolly and Kay! Good night. Sweet sleep. Prayers for all....with a special one for wee Jason, the raccoon, and Dinky. Been a rough day. But....Isla DID lay an egg, and the osprey returned to Fin Ferry, and Belle was alone, so.....3 good things to balance the scales of life.
The great Gorton Fisherman got home this evening...not a fish in sight. They got rained out...very hard rains and flooding in the Elkins area. Not to worry though, rainy weather calls for playing poker, and that's what they did:)
Funeral reception meal was very nice...we had some good help. The family of the deceased came into the kitchen and thanked us for the meal and were so gracious in their grief.
I heard that Baby Jason died, but not what was found as the reason. I guess it will be a while before they will know. I think someone said a few days ago that he didn't seem to be keeping up. So sad:(

Evening, first chance to log in here and try and catch up, HOORAY for Isla, how wnderful she is so glad I decided to watch her this year.
My nephew Kyle some of you met, he was the one holding the huge snake on stage at NCTC famil day in 07 well he turned 16 today and after pizza and cake took off with his friends and decided to jump his friends fence and cut his palm up took 3 stitches but he was a hoot while we sat in the ER, such a trooper

Think my new meds have something to do with it and my stiff neck and backache. Can't sleep when I hurt. I took one capsul of tylenol + sleep aid and maybe in a little bit I'll be sawing some zzzs

It was so great to see her since she hasn't been in the nest the last two mornings.

STILL JUST TRUDER LOOKING OUT THE OTHER SIDE OF THE NEST - OVER 7 AND THE OTHER WAY OVER 4 OCLOCK. HE'S JUST STANDING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NEST LOOKING AROUND.
BELLE HAS ARRIVED!
BELLE FLEW IN OVER THE BACK OF THE NEST ABOUT 12.
THEY'RE DOING NESTORATIONS.

BELLE IS SITTING AT 11 AGAINST THE NEST WALL. TRUDER IS BACKED UP TO THE NEST WALL AT 12.
VERY CLOSE. NOW THEY'RE SMOOSHED TOGETHER, BOTH OF THEM BETWEEN 11 & 12.
AND TRUDER TAKES OFF OUT THE BACK/RIGHT SIDE.

Hi all. Scotland ospreys are moving right along. Isla laid her first egg yesterday and EJ is right behind w her first egg today. Got first look just before 6am nest time. Yippee for both!!
Odin has brought a fish to the nest but hasn't given it up yet as much as EJ creeps in on him. So funny.

No time this morning. Need to go check on an egg that was trying without much success to get out since Tuesday evening. Poor thing chirped all day yesterday but didn't make much progress. If he didn't make it I need to get to school before the kids...Hope he's okay. Nature can be so cruel. Seems to be the theme this spring.

Kay, I've kissed 2 swine - the real 4 legged kind - in my life. There weren't many human oinkers. I'm too opinionated to put up with guys like that!
Well so far no stink in my room. Last year got stinky because I had so many hatch. I think I had 15 chicks in an aquarium. That did get stinky. I don't remember having stink any other year, but those were both years that I had small hatches. Chickens are pretty dirty from what I hear. Mine will be gone by Tuesday. Spring break starts Wednesday.

Lori, I was hoping for time to chat with you this morning. In what area of Maryland do you live ? I spent a lot of time in Hyattsville, Bowie and Baltimore in the mid-90's. My daughter, a Wetlands Biologist, taught the U in College Park. Beautiful part of the country !
