Well now, Lolly, I think that the clown issue is 6 one way, half dozen the other. You know we do clown around a lot and if the SHOE FITS...

Sissy, I don't think you saw my question about how you lost you 14 pounds...what is a WII?

Judie said...

So, Sissy, just where did you think Dingleberries grow?

Hi Margy, glad you're safe home.

Hi Bev, join in anytime you can.

Wanda, maybe you gs should get in touch with Steve?

Yes, I changed my avatar again. Jo sent a picture of the new Sheetz design. Way cool!

Snow removal kids arrived a few minutes ago. Reasonable price. Now neighbors coming out to give them more work. Ah to be young again.

Now to tackle my next two assignments. Washercide left lots of crime scene evidence in the laundry room -- must get rid of it. Then on to read the Consumer Reports washer/dryer info. Anyone got suggestions on washer/dryer brands?

hedgie said...

Oh, Margy---didn't know---didn't hear---guess that was when I was in the tub. Hope the tow truck co. gave you a big break since you are a public servant.

Had a huge sycamore once---would have been a terrible mess if it had been on a lawn instead of in the woods along the road---of course, road was a mess! Not as bad as walnut, but.....I would collect the seed pods and spray them w/ gold paint and use them as Christmas tree decorations!

hedgie said...

Margy, did they ever get Ridge Rd. open?

movin said...

From just before the split:

Funny stuff this A.M.:

I found out I can get the live feed on FireFox again if I disable my ADBLock;

But you wouldn't believe how many pop ups and pop unders and just interfering ads that the software blocks. I can even view snopes.com without picking up ads; so which way ???????

Belle was just getting up from the nest and Lib came in when I started watching. Her instincts seem to be to try to hatch that last one, but his seem to be treating it like it is time to start over.

Now, if I look on full screen it appears that one of the earlier eggs might be emerging from the snow next to #3.

Personally, I think it would be best if they abandoned the first clutch and started over. I'm anxious to see what they do though.

stronghunter said...

Blogger cop got me.

Jim--I think lots of us would agree with you, but the eagles won't ask for our opinions.

Maybe that is just as well.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Wanda, it is a video game console, very popular now. There is a "game" called Wii Fit Plus. It comes with a board that you use to exercise on. It is the coolest thing. All different kinds of exercises and yoga and aerobics, fun stuff. Don't hardly even know I am exercising. I love it!!!

normabyrd said...

PAULA-- what does hp stand for?

Lolly said...

Have always been a Maytag fan, but my washer and dryer I have had for years. Know that there is now a lot more varieties out there.

Does anyone know why I cannot get the cam feed on this website? I watched all last year and for some reason cant get it this year. I have to go to the outdoor channel to view the eagles. Strange.
I too hope the eggs are okay and that the weather would give us a break. Altho I hear another storm is moving in Tues or Wed.

stronghunter said...

Have seen some fantastic washers in the stores. Those front-loaders look wonderful, but are pretty expensive, I think.

There is an appliance store north of here that seems to give good deals. I'll check and see if I can find it.

One of my friends once told me that a washer repairman told her, "Lady, that washer doesn't owe you anything." I think hers was only 30 years old. My mother had one--a Kenmore--for about 30 years, too. You got 40 years, I believe you said, Judie.

So maybe it was a natural death, not washercide at all.

Lolly said...

Laura, this is the cam site. On NCTC page there is a link to this site.

paula eagleholic said...

Was just checking on Boo, he was almost stuck in the snow, was trying to get out by going over the fence. The snow is right at the top of my 4ft fence. I called him with a dog biscuit and he was able to get turned around and come in...whew!

normabyrd said...

I did know what a Wii was! ho!

paula eagleholic said...

Gonna grab a quick snack and head out to shovel...

Lolly said...

We all have to go to the Outdoor site.

hedgie said...

Norma, Norma! HP=hanky panky!!!
Jim, can't give any advice on browsers and such---duh! Don't know much about it, as you know, since I'm always asking for help!
Judie, did you know that Electrolux has appliances now??? They always had the BEST vacuum cleaners in my opinion, with Singer being 2nd. Kenmore, of course, is more affordable, and I've had my Kenmore W&D for 19 yrs.

Laura said...

oh one of them is back on the nest.

stronghunter said...

Judie--this is where I bought my dishwasher. Went there because Kathryn had bought one there also:

Appliance Connection

I don't know if they deliver. We have always done our own pick-up. They had scratch and dents in a backroom. Lots of selection.

paula eagleholic said...

Judie - I like Whirlpool or Kenmore brand. Maytag is good too.

Jim - that's Belle incubating

Laura - outdoor channel is the host for the live feed this year. They can provide more bandwith so more people can watch the live feed than NCTC can.

normabyrd said...

I have have always owned a KENMORE!---(I may not like SEARS service folks in Cumberland, MD)--but KENMORE IS GOOD!

Lolly said...

Snowing hard here now. Big fluffy flakes. I just think of the boys and smile. hee hee Laurel has to do the clean up when they come in.

Reminds me of the winter Laurel was born. Michael was just short of 4 and I had to stay inside with newborn baby. Michael played with the neighbor kids in the snow and then came in crying cause he was so cold. Poor baby!

stronghunter said...

I would call first, Judie, if you decide to go there. It says they were closed yesterday.

hedgie said...

Shirley and Margy---I had an S-10 Chevy p/u once that I hung up on the snow....plow had filled in end of driveway, but thought I could just go through it---it was only about 10" high---undercarriage was too low and I hung up on it with 3 wheels off ground!! Neighbor shoveled me out. Duh!!

Lolly said...

Jack has declared today the day he is going to watch all three movies of Lord of the Rings. He is now a Lazyboy Potato, too!

Leaving for a while to eat a bite and then "walk".

stronghunter said...

Okay, they do deliver. Go to FAQ.

Laura said...

Well I went there but I am having to blog at one site and watch the video on another. It takes me to the outdoor channel where I can view the eagles.

normabyrd said...

I have been watching all the birds that are down in my shrubbery---There are all kinds!--AWESOME there are so many---FUN to watch!--

Mema Jo said...

Hello Sunshine! No way can I ever get caught up quickly so I need to let you know I am well and snowed in! What's new?

stronghunter said...

Belle calling to Lib??

Lolly said...

Laura, open the two windows, blog and cam. Then split the screen. On my laptop, I right click in the task bar and then click on split screen. Have both up that way.

stronghunter said...

Hi, Jo. We saw an egg this morning. Don't know if it is viable, of course.

Lolly said...

Long story short, eagle on nest but was gone for a long time. Have seen both eagles and heard hp.

Several newcomers.

Lolly said...

Oh, and not to be left out Jo, we have 2 inches of snow on the ground and it is still coming down.

Lolly said...

Lolly said...

Now, will Lib sit on the egg???

Mits said...

I have been wanting to get a Wii, but they are so darn expensive, was not sure I would use it enough to justify the expense.

Laura said...

I see an egg.

normabyrd said...

Lolly said...

Whoops, back off the egg. Looks like he just will not help out.????

I think Sears or Kenmore appliances are made under contract by one of the biggies. You can ask the salesman which company and where it was made.

I think my refrigerator was made by Whirlpool...my last one. The present one was bought at Sears, but it is badged "Frigidaire".

Remember when Frigidaire was a generic name for all of them?? Some of my relatives still use the name that way.

Changed a doctor's appointment from Monday to today, but that means I have to take Hunter. It's at 2:30. I really wonder if they will have school on Monday, but at least now I don't have to worry about an appointment on that day.

Wow! I think something just fell off the house. Sounded like a gunshot! Going to go peek carefully out there.

stronghunter said...

Don't see anything except lots of melting and some icicles.

Judie said...

Wow! Thank all of you who are trying help with the washer/dryer problem. The recently deceased was Whirlpool and yes, almost 40 yrs.

Jim, I believe I do remember that some brand names were produced by the same manufacturer and Whirlpool was one of them. I'll check out the store you suggested,

Shirley and the Sears and Home Depot and Lowes. Just need to get educated before
going out -- when I am able to go out.

Only problem with Maytag is I think I remember the repairman died.

Off to read comsumer reports and do a bit of googling washers/dryers.

LOL Mits -- I thought you meant 42 WashingtonComposts, also.

stronghunter said...

Good luck, Judie. Hope you find what you want.

I posted a pic of a squirrel enjoying the squirrel food we put out. Glad they like it. It is securely attached to the porch so they can't run off with it.

Mema Jo said...

Good to read all your comments. Shirley your pics would lead you to believe that at 7:00 she was rolling an egg. We are all going to be learning about viable eggs - Can't be sure until we see it for ourselves.

Sun is doing some melting. Son and gs here helping hubby clear the driveway.
Son has 4 wheel and brought his Dad some coffee this am.

stronghunter said...

One frustrating thing we found, Judie, was that different stores use different model numbers for the same washer to prevent comparison shopping.

Mema Jo said...

Whoo Hoo Judie! LOVE your avatar.
Speaks well of you!

Costume Lady said...

Yes Judie, the Maytag repairman died of boredom:)
Gene has a lot of faith in the Consumer Reports mag. In fact, right now, he is in town checking out a computer which they gave high marks to, that just happens to be on sale. I think at Best Buy.
We got our washer and dryer at Lowes...they were both a scratch and dent sale. They were a great price.

stronghunter said...

Got an e-mail response from Jack Hanna team. Same message as on Facebook. Will respond with a thanks.

stronghunter said...

All kinds of stuff falling off my roof. Be careful out there.

Mema Jo said...

Mits - I know son shouldn't be out on the roads even with a 4-wheel drive However he went up 15N to pick up his stranded son and is now here.
He could possibly get a big fine if he caused a tie up or accident. Even some 40 yr olds never grown up.

Costume Lady said...

Sissy, I knew that there was a game called Wii, but didn't know if there was something else with that name. My grandaughter got one with her Christmas money and she and Karla (her mother) love it. Don't think she has the weight loss thingy...might be a good B'Day present for her:)

Mema Jo said...

I have a feeling we will get to 1000 plus comments before that new thread comes up. Hope I am wrong!

Mema Jo said...

Watching our beautiful eagle in the nest standing by the egg cup.
Still sunny but really windy

Costume Lady said...

Jo, some 69 year old never grow up and I about to prove it...
Sharon, Lib does not want to sit on that egg because it is cold on his Dingleberries;)
I just knew I couldn't be good all day!

Donka Maria said...

Do I see 2 eggs in the nest????

Costume Lady said...

Looks like someone had a shovel and cleaned out the egg cup and piled it at 12ish.

Costume Lady said...

If you look closer, it looks like 3 eggs.

Judie said...

Oh Wanda. Now Sissy will know where Dingleberries grow.

stronghunter said...

Donka Maria said...

Thanks Mema Jo. I'm glad you're keeping score. Have a good day everybody. Gotta get back to work (sob-sniffle).

Mema Jo said...

Not sure if this affects any of you and I am assuming they are speaking of Allegheny (Power) Engery:

Allegheny Energy being sold in $4.7B deal
Utility company FirstEnergy said Thursday that it is buying rival Allegheny Energy for about $4.7 billion in stock in a deal that will create one of the nation’s largest power companies with customers from Ohio to New York.

paula eagleholic said...

Whirlpool makes Kenmore appliances. GE now owns Maytag brand, or vice versa on the GE/Maytag, can't recall.

paula eagleholic said...

It looks like 2 eggs to me with a snowball on the far left.

wvgal_dana said...

Margy I know you are probably dreaming pillow sweet dreams now I hope. I have to tell you. When I read in the comment "hummers" I too first thought huh hummingbirds. lol

So glad you got the help last night and are home safe today.

When you read this if you get back this far. The Post Office was it the one at Court House Square? If so was Edwin Miller Blvd. still rough and icy batched really badly for driving?

paula eagleholic said...

31° here in Eburg, but lots of melting going on with the sunshine.

Went and thanked my neighbors for snowblowing while I was out.

Rt 15 is shutdown from Frederick to PA line.

Emmitsburg roads are awful, neighbor was out and about, had a heck of a time getting back here.

wvgal_dana said...

Paula isn't there a bev that comes in every now and again in summer from Channel Island forum?

paula eagleholic said...

paula eagleholic said...

paula eagleholic said...

Dana - I don't think there's a Bev, I think Karen In CA pops in now and again.

ceil said...

I got a message from Jack Hanna's team thanking me and giving the note that was on his fb. I thanked them and told them that I think it was his best show. Learned about the penquins.

Lolly said...

I left and Wanda got WILD! Sitting here reading the blog and giggling. Shame!

Mits..I understood you meant posts on the blog, maybe because our paper is not the Post.

wvgal_dana said...

The sun is melting the snow and they are calling for a re-freeze. So walking or driviing is going to be pretty slippery later. Be careful out there.

paula eagleholic said...

Dunedin Osprey cam has 3rd hatch !

:):):)

Judie said...

Well, C.R. says one best buy is GE front-load washer $750 and one best buy a GE dryer $600.

Paula, interesting to see the differing test results for Whirlpool/Kenmore and GE/Maytag. You'd think there wouldn't much difference.

Will definitely check out the dents/dings possibility. No matter to me. People usually don't gather in my laundry room.

Shirley, be careful going to/from the dr.

See what I think are three eggs in the nest in sunlight but no Belle or Lib.

I have a hurting heart.

Very confused here

paula eagleholic said...

bev, that has happened to others, too. Sorry, I'm not much help. I think it depends upon whether you sign up with google or blogger account.

YES, this is the same male. Personally, I think he knows the eggs are not viable. I think she still has the instinct to incubate them, even if they aren't. I think it takes longer to kick in for her.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Oh yes, Bev, this is the same male. They have never completely stopped coming to the nest so we have seen them quite often. Keep asking questions. It is all good!

Costume Lady said...

Bev, I think someone will pop on here who can help you. I have had that problem on other web sites and just had to start all over again with a new password:(

Hi, Gang,
Checking in to see what's happening.
Went to get some breakfast earlier, and never made it back here. Lots of cleanup in the kitchen, then lots of reading for school. Have a final tonight in Transcription Practice.

Looks like Belle is back on the nest. Maybe she knows more than we do. Praying for a miracle!

Welcome to the newcomers who are here today!

Judie, condolences for the loss of your ancient washer. Mine's currently a Maytag, but the previous one, a Kenmore, was the best ever. Daughter has a front-loader, and it's extremely good. Wish I had one of those, but only if I win the Lottery. Definitely look for one with a ding or scratch--Sears outlet near us has fantastic deals on those. Well, back to studying.... Later, alligators! :o]

Mits said...

oh, how nice it would be to have just "12" inches of snow....
