Trying to retrieve my ADDRESSES. Don't even know where to put this flash drive. Need to read some more:)

I think I need to lie down on the floor with a flashlight and see what all is in my TOWER. I assume that is where the flash drive goes. Blonde roots are really showing this morning:)

Mits said...

thanks for the call over , Ladies:)

Mits said...

Wanda, you know alot more about puters than I do:)

paula eagleholic said...

Wanda - Flash drive goes in the USB port...tiny little slot, about 1/2" wide.

GLO...retirement seems to really be agreeing with you:)

I found you! I had been waiting for daughter to arrive only to find out it wasn't today that she was coming! lol

I thought I had read all the comments but I think I missed any that were made as to What is the grayish stuff in the fluff? It looks like spider webs

Costume Lady said...

Thanks Paula...I will look for that. Hope it's labeled! DUH!

Jo, GG did similar thing yesterday and last week. Went to check on her yesterday and she was all gussied up with new outfit I got her and hair done. I asked her where she was going and she said "Why, to the Dentist, of course". Not til Wednesday:) She gets very upset with herself when she does that, which is getting very frequent now.

Costume Lady said...

I think the Geek Squad is ready to move furniture now:)

Mema Jo said...

Wanda - you just need to call her when you're having your morning coffee and go over the day's schedule. Hubby and I always look at calendar before going to bed to know what is happening the next day! Meaning if I have to get up early or get to sleep late lol

Almost time to hit the road. Nice to meet you Ragdoll. Do you have a Ragdoll kitty? They're beautiful. Nice to see everyone I haven't seen for months and months, specially Capt Eagle!! So nice to be here and lurking, though I had to read back. Haven't had time to lurk too much.

You all have a great day. I'll get back on here again one of these days!

Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!

I got lost!!! Bringing over:

Go, Sparky!!!

Well, watching skating from last night. While the Canadian pair had a very graceful, lovely performance, I still think ours had a much more energetic, athletic and inspiring performance. Oh, well....it is what it is....scoring remains too subjective.

I just got an email from PayPay saying that it was confirming a purchase for almost 300 dollars for a phone being shipped to someone in Maine! It was a spoof email, trying to get my personal info. I use PayPal to pay my electric bill, but that is pretty much it. It asked for me to send a report with all my info, SS#, etc. on this form.

I didn't do it and called PayPal, thank God! My checking account has taken a beating this week!!!!!

First AT&T took out an unauthorized payment and caused me to overdraw my account! Just got that fixed this morning and now someone else is trying to get my little tad of money!!

Interesting questions being asked on the NBG blog from Classrooms. Technology is great when this sort of nature study is brought to so many children at one time.

Both owls in the Valmont nest box.
3 eggs are there - hope they all hatch.

Xcel eagle cam out of service at this time. 2 eggs in nest and they had snow.

Great view of Clouded Leopard baby in the incubator! He is all stretched out!

Mema Jo said...

May be time for a switch at our nest.

Mema Jo said...

Was good to see both of those eggs at the switch.
Getting lots of fluff tucked around the sides........

Hi, Everyone!
Have been doing housework and taking panda naps today. Have school again tonight--a new medical transcription 'Practice 2' class. Same teacher as last time.

Sure is good to see there's no snow on the nest! Need to read back a bit and see what's been happening.
Will be back soon...

Need to go to the Post Office and the bank, and maybe WalMart. Need some new folders for my new classes. Come to think of it, I should go to school and buy the book I need for tomorrow's class, and the CD I need for the Practice 2 class (AND for the Practice 3 class). Good thing the CD will last me for a while! Need to check with the Finance Dept. at school, too--got some kind of letter about having to re-apply for my student loan! Better check that out, for sure! Well, be back later after my errands are done. Take care, and have a good afternoon! :o]

I was just reading back to see what I missed today during my in and out visits. Someone is trying to get into accounts. I live in Maine....I swear it not me. I am concerned though. I have never blogged until I finally commented to all you new friends. Can someone do that through a site like this. I don't do billing by the computer for fear of things like this. I still use checks and snail mail. The geeks put a good protection on my computer, but I still worry.

In January someone called to say someone was trying to use $79.00. from our account. They stopped it, but then they wanted us to purchase a protection plan. We both shook our heads.

I am always telling my hubby....don't buy anything on the Internet with our debit card.

Hubby and I had to pick up vehicle at garage.. everything is fine. Thanks,
Mits for the update on Tai! He is a smart US born and bred type of guy!

I did contact Megan - she is starting to feel better - has been on antibiotics for sinus problem. She is busy ordering seeds for our beautiful flowers this SPRING/SUMMER.

Mema Jo said...

I wouldn't care if I had snow on the ground as long as I had daffodils in
my house! Right, Lolly!

Had a lot of birds at my deck - the downy woodpecker even came up to the suet hanger as the squirrel was sitting on the railing. I can sit a long time and watch their behaviors.

hedgie said...

Mits, our Tai definitely is one smart Panda!!! Glad to hear that he is adjusting well. Wonder how Mei Lan is getting along now?

Yea, Capt., you did good!!

Ragdoll, phish is when someone is trolling for personal info! Guess that is what you found out!

Lolly, they say that the storm you got is what is heading east for Thursday. Gee, thanks!! LOL!

Mits said...

from what I read on the Atlanta page she is doing much better....

Lolly said...

You are more than welcome, Lynn.☺

It was sorta fun to have snow and now it is about gone. I would say we got about 2 1/2 inches. The air port just got flurries and that is where they record the snowfall. Therefore, we did not break the record. Now, if they had just recorded my snowfall!!

Mits said...

the beaches are supposed to get more snow.....and high winds....:(

hedgie said...

Thanks, Mits. I should have gone to their site and looked!

Mema Jo said...

Well Lynn all our Tues Night Programs are reruns. How about that ...5 months later......

Well, here I am trying to catch up on a gazillion comments.

HELLO CAPT. EAGLE! So sweet of you to help Wanda the Tiger with her new computer. Thanks.

Lynn, remember back in rutting season I had that deer that camped out in our backyard for several hours and I was crazy worrying it was injured? The FWS biologist said he was tired from a night out with the ladies and we have a safe and quiet yard. You also have a safe and quiet place to rest.

Sissy, thanks for the PayPal tip.

Andy, hope school goes well tonight and the student loan business get taken care of for you.

Mits, thanks for the Tai Shan update. Just want the boy to grow and have a long, happy life.

Hi Jo. I get to stay under the sheetz tomorrow am.

Megan, hope you're feeling better.

Hey, Dana, maybe the skunk has the slow cooker lid? Capt. Gene to the rescue!

Hi to Ragdoll and all others I have missed.

Just wish snow would bypass our eagle nests and the expected high winds also. This has been a dreadful winter.

Chatted way too much. Apologize.

Back later to say goodnight.

magpie said...

Hi Judie..
nah, no chat too much...
always good to see you here.
I went to a new Sheetz store tonight...

Jo I think the Blackwater cam restarts at 0500, but last year I think it ran until 11 pm instead of 10 pm....just was hoping maybe during hatching season it would run all night...wishful thinking

shower and shampoo time here

Costume Lady said...

DANA...Capt. Gene got a lap top some time ago. Never got it up and running. We got it for traveling, but we aren't able to travel anymore, so, lost interest in it. Maybe now that I have this new one, he will get interested in it again.

Ragdoll said...

Costume Lady said...

Dana...don't mess with a skunk. Just don't leave any food out that he may be able to get to.

Lolly said...

Yes, I do believe the daffodils are just fine. Sorry you have more snow headed your way. It even snowed today as far south as San Antonio but did not stick.

It was a year ago that I did the big weight loss. Now just trying to shed the Thanksgiving/Christmas damage. lol Thank you, Wanda, for your sweet comment.

So glad you are enjoying your new computer, Wanda. Ours is so fast as well. Just be glad when we have recovered some things. Jack had some things backed up, but not all. He has always had problems backing up my address book. Going to purchase a new address program. One that can be back up easily! I do love this laptop!

Hi,

It has been a bad day here. Kathryn's sweet little basset Luna has lost sight in one eye. We had taken her to the vet three times and they thought it was a dry eye problem, but it was much worse. Today they sent her to a specialist and the vision is gone. There is danger she could lose sight in her other eye. She will have to be watched carefully.

Luna is only five years old. Kathryn kept saying that she didn't want Luna to lose her sight, but the vet did not seem that worried. I don't know why.

It is glaucoma. They will likely remove her eye.

[For a good laugh, check out Wild Earth TV's Hornby Eagle Cam - they taped 10 minutes of eagle behavior earlier today, Feb 23 - entry starts "Picture this scene from 9 am..." - shows couple doing nest prep - could sum up 10 years of living as a human couple - showed hubby & he laughed as hard as I did.]

Hi, Everyone!
Just now dragging myself in after school. The CD needed for my class tonight isn't in at the bookstore yet! They've installed the program on the classroom computers, but it won't run unless you put a disk in the computer too! Long story short, I had to spend 5 hours doing a lot of transcribing! Have 8 out of 10 reports finished. Need to go to school and finish the other 2, then do 10 definitions of new medical words by end of class on Thursday. Should be able to get it all done.
Hope the CDs are in stock by Thursday! Without them, we can't work on stuff at home! WOOF!

Too tired to read much on the blog tonight, but DID see that Glo, Megan, Margie's James, and Luna all need healing prayers! You got 'em!
LOTS of them!

Margie, see you're in for a work schedule flip-flop soon--don't know HOW you do it, woman! They'd have to shoot me! Wish they'd pick a schedule for you and stick with it!
Guess there's much to be said for panda naps!

Oh--forgot to mention that the finance person at school wasn't there today, so hafta call him tomorrow about the student loan.

Hey, good to see that Phyrfly, Ragdoll, and Suzanne were here today. Hope I get some good sleep tonight, and can get my gray matter together enough to actually carry on a decent conversation with you tomorrow! That goes for everyone else here, too. Kickngbird, good to see you too! Don't have the live cam up, but hope it stays warm enough that the rain doesn't turn to the S-word!
Well, think I'll say goodnight before I get too tired and do a face plant on the keyboard! Prayers being said for everyone.
Leaving the night light on. The porch light is motion-activated, and the eye scanner is ready to go.
Sleep soundly, everyone, and have sweet eagle dreams. Talk to you tomorrow. God bless!
OH--forgot to thank Mits for the panda update. SO glad Tai is adapting so well! Wishing him a long and happy life. Goodnight, all! Love you guys! :o]...zzzzzzz

I keep checking the nest!!--Only thing moving is that DARN WHITE CIRCLE!---

normabyrd said...

Keep an eye on BWE--LISA says--'We expect the first egg to hatch around Feb 24--25---although it could possibly go as late as 2/27'!
SO EXCITING....

normabyrd said...

'When the eaglet is ready to hatch, it will turn itself inside the egg & pierce the egg's air sac, then the chick will take its first breath of air from within the shell. Next the chick will use it's neck muscles & EGG TOOTH (on the tip of it's beak) to pip or punch a small hole in the shell--The eaglet will continue to slowly turn & peck until it has cut a whole around the diameter of the shell so that it can push out the bottom half & free itself---Very tiring for the chick & can take 24 hours...(LISA'S 'the hatching process)

This computer must know I am in a hurry and have things to do today.
grrrrr to it I#U($%)

Mits that crock pot cooks so good. I put a heavy corniing dish ontop of lid. The lid allows the liquid to spit at different places around the lid. Even if you used a tablespoon of water or no water. So I put paper towels around on the counter. It cooked the best skinned pieces of chicken for me yesterday. Nice and juicy and tender all falling off the bone.

Does anyone have trouble with the live feed. I was getting it just fine. Then at one point when I boot up machine it just is "as the world spins"?

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE...
Not to worry...Lib and Belle can handle a few inches of snow. After what they just went through, 2-3 inches will be a piece of cake (or fish) for them:)

MISS DANA: I once put a turkey in my Crock Pot and it was too big to put the lid on. I got a piece of heavy foil and put it over the turkey and crimped it around the edges. It worked beautifully...give foil a try. I have also used ROASTING BAGS in the crock pot (wouldn't need a lid with those) and that worked very well, also.
