I think the egg was left alone too long...20° would freeze it in just a few minutes. It is snowing harder here now...thought it was going to stop there for a while.

hubby is out shoveling. If he doesn't have a heart attack I will murder him for making me worry.
Either way his a goner.

Okay Split happened...

going to have to go dig out the car "just in case" as I am on call....and probably defrost the doors with my 99-cent hairdryer

Having to tamp snow off the wood before I bring it in---under good cover, but wind is just blowing the snow right on in. ARGH!
Did my hair yesterday, but sure doesn't look like it---having to put hood up everytime I step out the door does a number on it.

It's a very light snow here right now, winds are gusting, from around 7 mph to 19 mph.

Well, Paula, it is not snowing in Bedford anymore and looks like it is over here. But I am afraid if I wait until tomorrow, I am still going to have to deal with sucky roads so . . .

guess that would not be a safe idea with the snow blowing, don't want to get electrified

Mits, I loved that poem from your Waste Management folks from yesterday morning

The wind has subsided for now...covering the bagels the Capt. threw out for the birds. We had a wren to land on the bagels and picked the blueberries out of them:)

All the Momster album pictures, are great....I appreciate being able to see what I miss, even though it is too tough to see sometimes

Good morning, everyone.

Snowing very hard here right now and getting very, very windy.

May not be able to get to school again tomorrow -- will have to see if I can come up with an online assignment of some kind and/or move the midterm exam which will run us into Spring break. Not good.

Hurts my heart looking at the nest. Lord love Belle and Lib for their efforts.

Andy, glad you get a break from school.

Wonder if George is sleeping in -- haven't heard from Shirley, yet.

Wanda, no need to apologize. I thought what you wrote was hilarious -- especially for those who are new to the blog. I guess I'll get cleaned up also -- just in case the washer cops show up with a warrant for washercide.

Going for coffee while I watch the news. Grateful power is still on.

Relieved that everyone seems to be home or somewhere safe.

BBL if power stays on.

So Margy, not a good week for vacation either! Probably spending it shoveling unless they are out of town!

Capt. Phil Harris, one of the signature personalities that made the reality series "The Deadliest Catch" such a gigantic breakout hit for the Discovery Channel, died Tuesday (February 9) at the age of 53. Harris died of complications from a stroke he suffered on January 29.

RIP, Phil:(

Good morning!

It is good to see everyone on here. It means you have power. I got up at about 6:30 to see if Hunter would be staying with me, but Kathryn's boss decided to close the shop, so Hunter's with his mom. I expect Tommy is there too. He drives a company vehicle and they don't want him wrecking it.

I fed George and crawled back into bed. Eventually, George got worried about me and came meowing and bugging me.

I do hope Margy doesn't have to work today.

Tom and Kathryn were going to try to get some firewood today. I would love to have some, too, but I cannot imagine how I could have it delivered. Short of sawing down a tree, they aren't likely to get firewood today, either.

I see little birds going into my birdhouse. I guess they are just sheltering there. I remember someone remarked at the end of last summer that if I put it up, it would be ready for the coming summer. Well, I did put it up, and it's protecting birds now. Nice. One place the pesky starlings cannot go!

Now I need to go buy some more birdhouses--when I can get to the store.
