Oh sheesh, Wanda. Did you have to tell all the bloggers I'm a criminal? Well, okay. I killed the washer, tried to dump the evidence in a snow drift, got myself caught in the wringer and now have to drip dry my permanent press wrinkles. Life in the laundry can be a challenge.
I am concerned about the third egg. As others have said, I wish she could have waited or, better yet, the weather were more favorable. Prayers for our eagles.

weather reports says more snow on wednesday - hard to see how egg will survive - but as long as belle/liberty make it through this then they can have at least one more. so am praying that this weather system moves away & gives these amazing creatures some calmer weather. have to go & get things ready for work tomorrow. will try to check in on wednesday. have a good, safe nite all.

Glad Margy and Will made it home OK.
Just talked to college kid Michael. His school is closed tomorrow! They don't close very often, they are expecting 15-20" as well.
He trains for a whole week next week for his new job, he has been talking to professors about missing class all week.
Then they will start him with some Friday night and weekend shifts. He has to get fingerprinted, background checks for Fed and State, drug test, Physical, TB test and I think that's it.
He's really excited! Went out and celebrated at the pub on campus. $1 beers for seniors!

Michael just called. He is still down in San Antonio and will be there until late Thursday or Friday. They celebrated BIG last night...expensive meal, expensive champagne, etc. He is a partner in the firm, but he has now made "equity partner". In a few days we are going out to eat in Dallas to celebrate BIG. OOOOOOhh, I like that!
He said they made the front page of the newspaper, top of the page.☺

Hi, Everyone!
Made it home from school OK. It was absolutely pouring when I went to school tonight! The teacher got there VERY late, because traffic on the freeway was jammed, and they had to speed UP to go 10 mph! I decided to take surface streets, and was glad I did!
Got all my homework turned in. Last class of the quarter on Thurs.--a transcription test. Found out we DO have a week off between quarters--2/15-2/19!!! Yippee!!!
It stopped raining before I had to drive home tonight--thank God for small favors! Am mighty glad everyone made it back to their home roosts tonight! Thank God for that, too!
It's breaking my heart to look at the nest tonight. Before I left for school I thought I saw Belle lay another egg--checked out the video, and guess I was right. Prayers on top of prayers for Belle, the egg, and Lib. This s--- has GOT to stop! Lord, PLEEZE?!!!
Well, am going to try to get some sleep. Prayers said for everyone.

Just checked on Belle she was up and did an egg roll .. Dont know how she persist to set there in this mess and its only getting worse blizzard conditions tomarrow with winds 45 miles an hour.. Just so sad how Mother Nature can be so cruel and unrelenting.. My daughter n son in law are stuck in Hagerstown at my dads roads to bad to come home.. Margie glad your home..

I saw Paula's excellent video of the 3rd egg arriving, and I'm hopeful...
But, if there's still snow in the egg cup in the morning, the egg probably won't be viable. It's a thin layer, so I don't know if she will be able to clear it.
Might be that our pair will have to start all over this season, which gives me mixed emotional impressions.
Since it happened early in the season, perhaps they will fledge a couple of eaglets yet.

I just looked at the live feed again, and Belle is sleeping with her head tucked. She looks like another snow drift right now, the snow is coming down that fast.

Just watched Belle stand up in the nest and shake off the snow. Seemed to look under herself a couple of times and then settled back down. The snow is still coming down.
Her head seems to be facing the 7 to 8 oclock position. My heart just goes out th she and Liberty. The weather has just been unbelievably crewel to them this year.
Well, had better get back under the covers. Everyone out there in this horrible mess stay safe and keep warm. It is still snowing on the nest
She was just up again to shake the snow off and was poking around beneath her. Has now turned to have her head at 2 o'cloci position., and she has settled back down again.
Belle is still there....not sure which end is which...head either at 10 or 4.
Poor dear girl. Snow has started again....still no wind.

Hope everyone stays HOME today and SAFE! We've got about 6 inches at the moment but the storm is supposed to get worse later this morning. Looks like my power of "positive prediction" for less snow when bye bye.
Steve gets to stay home today (as if he was even going to attempt to get in after last night's fiasco), and possibly tomorrow as well.
Daisy's been out for a walk and everyone is fed so I'm going back to bed for a while...see you all later.

Good morning all. I got here just in time to see both Liberty and Belle in the nest, then Belle (?) fly out. Beautiful. Then Liberty checked on the egg and laid on it. Now there's no one there - I can't imagine that will be good for very long.

I am so glad we decided to close for today, they are telling people to stay off the roads...not good here!
My son John had to get up at 5am and call to see if he had to work, they have a special weather number to call, which I thought was cool...he has the day off as well.
When I called him, he was in bed and the kids were jumping on it...better him than me! LOL I'm just stuck inside with the dogs, well heck they can be pesty like kids...
just praying here that electricity stays on, had my shower, hair is washed and dried, and I have a gas stove, what more could a girl ask for....my friend up the street said I could come there if power goes out, so I would not have to be alone, I'm used to be alone, with hubby traveling, but I don't think I could get there in this snow and wind....

May not be able to get to school again tomorrow -- will have to see if I can come up with an online assignment of some kind and/or move the midterm exam which will run us into Spring break. Not good.

I checked the video, after Lib left 25 minutes ago, a couple of minutes later, eagle came in and stood on the nest for about 2 minutes, then took off
Lynn, she just lives up the next, block but, it is to dangerous to go out in this for even a little bit, 5 minute walk would probably take 30 minutes....I can stay warm here....only thing, she lives 2 doors from Sec. of State, Geitner, so her power may stay on:)
