I had to hit the road running this morning, getting last minute stuff done, and didn't stop till dinnertime! All done now, though.

Well i mad eit earlier than last night any body home??? Busy evening here was my grandsons girlfriend Stacys 18th birthday so we went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse in Hagerstown.. Then shopping and in JC Pennys we found a cute Disney Mickey Mouse Lamp Pole for outside was 279.00 on sale for 113.00 so after thinking long and hard about buying it hahaha its setting in our living room!! yes we are Disney Nuts... Even planning on a June trip and renting the house we always rent ONLY flying this time..lol Well have Red Velvet Cake Baked.. Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter... Cookies...Pumpkin Cream Cheese Roll.. If the weather is good good to parents for Christmas Dinner but suppose to be icy... Well Stacy turned 18 and she just got her drivers license and everyone is over in CharlesTown at the track playing slots.. first time players can sign up and they get a free 25 dollar card to play too... Hope they win 1st timers usually do..lol I stayed home with Rosa she has an ear infection.. Marg will miss you tonight too :(

Just checking in to say good night/morning and Merry Christmas Eve. Don't know if you all heard on the news about the hostage situation in Wytheville at the post office but Wytheville is where Sissy had her procedure yesterday. Not sure what is happening with it now but last I heard the gentleman was in a wheelchair and had C4 strapped to his body. I did just look at the local news website and they say that it had a peaceful end and the suspect is in custody!
Can't sleep. Got up for awhile.

Our furnace has picked a most inopportune time to give up the ghost. Tom worked on it until almost 11 o'clock last night but it won't stay running. We do have gas logs which are keeping the house nice and toasty. Hopefully, this morning, in the light of day, he can figure it out and get it going. He is pretty good at fixing stuff, thank God!!
Good grief, Sissy, hope Tom can figure that out and get the furnace working for you.

Thought I'd better get on here before the Capt. does. He was on here for quite a while, yesterday. Very unusual for him.
I'm so hoping and praying that Judie comes home with good news.
We had a few family members who had that surgery and as I recall, it was a while before all was well.
I guess Margy is home and in bed from her overnight shift...NO, she is probably getting things ready for Christmas before she lays her dead down to sleep:)
Mema Jo is going to have a BIG HOUSEFUL...so wonderful to have a large family. So, Jo, if you and your family celebrate today, what do YOU & ED do on Christmas Day? I would think, just sit back and REST!
DANA, what will you be doing this year? It is going to be hard for you without Ed, so I am going to be thinking of you and praying that you will be with your family.
Remember that ED would not want you to be sad...nor do we, your friends.
I do hope and pray that the weather will behave itself so that none of our plans are ruined. Can't have that on Jesus's Birthday!

Tee Hee I just measured my cute fiber-optic tree Loretta. From tip top to bottom of white snowy base. It is a BIG 8". lol I can carry it to any room I'm in. I now have it lite here by me in the computer room lol it's so cute. Perfect for this year.
Wow I just put 2 new batteries that I brought yesterday. Is that tree every blinking different colors and brighter now. Neat ( :
Oh I know why because they are the breast cancer batteries. They make anything perfect.

I see our Eagles gave us the slip this morning...so I hope there are some daytime visits.
Will look for Judie updates and Sissy's furnace updates when I get up, and hope that everyone's day goes well. Be careful, try not to get too stressed out rushing around.
Had one structure fire during my shift, deputies got there first and rescued a lady out but she was not doing so well and was transported to the hospital, believe with smoke inhalation.
Passing motorist noticed the house was on fire.
Check your smoke and fire detector batteries....NOW !
I saw ISS zip by this morning WNW to ESE, faded into the morning sun.
It was nice.

Merry Christmas Eve everyone! It is snowing! However, it is only 39 so it is not sticking, but it is pretty coming down. An hour north Laurel will be getting more. White out conditions are predicted because of the wind.
I posted a picture of our tree on Family Pic's. Wanda asked about the tree. It is articial. We always had a real tree, but they get so dry and are such a fire hazzard that we went to artificial several years ago. Oh, yes, Jack and I decorated it ourselves. Mostly Santa ornaments and I lost track of the number of lights, way over 1,000.

Did you see the blog of Diego's exam yesterday? And then they have a video of his first real foray into the outdoor exhibit area.
Somehow after all that sleeping when other cubs would be wriggling, crawling and exploring more than he has, he comes alive when he gets on a blanket in the exam room or in the dirt and grass of outdoors. And he seems to be up to speed with other cubs development by some miracle.
I was surprised that he can walk well, but now I see he can run well too...????

Jumping on here really quickly to say hello. Hubby is on the way home from work, and we will go out somewhere to lunch.
Hoping and praying for good news from Judie's Dr., and praying for a "quick fix" for her!
Have an important prayer request for a best friend of mine, Alice Kurin, who I used to work with. She just found out that her cancer has returned, and she's having some really expensive chemo treatments. Her copay is $3,000! She and her husband are retired, and he is disabled. Here's another prayer request for her husband, Victor--he only recognizes Alice about 50% of the time--I'd like to pray that the percentage increases to 100%! Later today I am going to post Alice and Victor's address in the momster's e-mail. If you are prompted to, please send them a card in the snail mail, or a quick note from you. She sounds really lonely, and needs some support. I am going to plan a lunch with her during the holidays or shortly after, with a couple of people we used to work with. Thanks, you guys! Your prayers are sure to help! Gotta run now, and get ready to go to lunch. Will BBL! God bless! Love you! :o]
