Wonder if you folks would do me a favor and check out this new cam my buddies Pete and Rollin posted. They are also starting a blog so please check it out and say hello if you have a chance.
Thanks Steve for the new thread. Just visited your friends cam and blog. Wow, was a great picture provided by his cam. My hubby Jack will enjoy taking a peek at that workshop.

woo hooo Christmas shopping is DONE!!! Wrapping tonight, cards later...I've never been so far ahead of the game!
Shirley, Boo hoo about Cindy Lou Who (sorry, I had to say it!) Wow, I can't believe the bid is up so high!
Love the 12 days of Christmas avatars Paula!
BEVERLY PUT ON A HAZMAT SUIT!!!!
Lolly, I will pray for Laurel and family...that really is a shame. Times are so tough for so many of us this year. I sure hope the new year brings better days.
That's interesting about the Hawaii Christmas tree situation. I guess they have to be extremely careful about importing the trees to avoid problems for the local ecology.
OK, good news/potentially bad news for me....surgery has been moved to AM instead of PM on Friday. But I am getting sick. Oh yeah...I don't have a fever at least not right now but I have a cough. And it feels like I am working up a mighty case of bronchitis. This happens every damn year usually between Nov and Jan. WHY NOW?????? I am slamming fluids, taking Mucinex and I am going to bed right after dinner. UGH....
Lolly, read your post about your daughter and son-in-law, hope things will be okay. Like what Lynn/Hedgie posted about situations like that....guess many of us have been there, done that, the worrying part.
Prayer sure soothes the heart when the mind cannot do it
Nice new pics on the Momsters album from today's visit....love Sissy's Big Head post, and if you have time, check out the funny pose at 9:03:37 am, two-headed Eagle pic
Good Evening... It is getting dark her, must be near time for a visit at our nest. I did get to see the early morning visit, always a pleasure:)
Went to the hospital this morning and missed the doctor. The nurse said GG was scheduled for more tests this afternoon. GG told me they were going to take a scan of JUST HER HEAD! Couldn't imagine what they thought they would find. They told me that there appears to be some neurological problem. She was discovered to have a UTI which could possibly cause nausea. She is hooked up to an IV and got up, by herself this morning to potty and didn't give thought to her IV and, of course it pulled out of her arm and she left a trail of blood everywhere she went! She said she didn't know why they don't make those tubes long enough to reach the bathroom:) She said they stuck a needle in her tummy to keep her blood from clotting. She thinks they are getting ready to take her Gall Bladder out. She said they could at least her know ahead of time. Tried to convince her they wouldn't take it out until a later date. Getting ready to go back up. Will keep in touch. Thank you for your prayers. (((Hugs)))
Thanks all for prayers. I am trying to let go...let God. It is just so hard when it is your children.
Thanks Wanda for the update on GG. Bless her!!! Wish I lived closer so I could help sit with her. They get so confused. Prayers and (((hugs)))
Whoa...spooky things happening. All of a sudden there was an old blog on this post. Do not know where that came from. Had to erase. Weird!!!!!!! (Spooky music plays here.)
Made it home after stopping for physical therapy. Sleepy. My seniors told me that I need to have their research papers all graded by Friday. I graded one paper so far. It took about 45 minutes. I have 25 more to go. Don't think I can do that by Friday.
Was good to have the update on GG from Wanda. An MRI just of the head would show any signs of strokes or TMI. It is done mainly in the process of elimination. Prayers for her and for her family of loved ones.
Hope that Judie did not overdo today. It would have been a class day for her, so she probably had an exam. Know she said she would be back late tonight.
Wrapped only presents for Joseph and Jacob. No tags on them yet, just a pile for Joseph and a pile for Jacob. Was going to print tag but Jack was at the computer. Will do that soon. Had my glass of wine. Only problem I had was getting up off the floor after wrapping. lol Could have done it in the other room on a table or a bed, but wanted to watch the news while wrapping. Also, Jack is getting a fire going in here.
Saw the tree kangaroo! Wasn't he cute! And did you see him fall? Wow!
Hi, Everyone, I'm about to leave to go to school. Will be back after I get home, which may be pretty late back east. Hope they soon have an idea what's going on with GG. Prayers are being said for that. Hope Judie isn't overdoing it today, if she went back to school. No time to read much on the blog right now. Will talk to you guys late tonight! Have a good evening! :o]
Susan just had a nice surprise. She went to her business class for her final exam. The professor said that he/she had just come to a conclusion. Many students have good grades in that class, and the prof decided that anyone with an "A" or "B" did not have to take the exam. Susan pulled out her calculator, figured she had an A, so she left.
Got all the tree lights on, needed one more strand.
Now to finish the kitchen decorations, I have a garland and lights I put on top of my cabinets and my Christmas tins go up there as well. All cleaned up and ready to roll...then to the ornaments! BBL
Sounding good, Paula! I like the way you are decorating the kitchen. I have Santa cookie jars, santa cream and sugar on the counter and Santa chefs on the window ledge. Then, of course, Santa towels hanging. Then there is the inebriated Santa hanging on the wine glass rack. and the Santa on the bar with the chalkboard menu.
Good evening all. Finally caught up! Who woulda thunk watching canoe building would be cam-worthy??? Pretty neat shop, for sure!!! Wanda, rest assured that if they are giving GG blood thinner, they are not suspecting a brain bleeed, nor are they planning imminent surgery! Prayers continue. Lynne, pop bunches of Vit. C, along with that Mucinex! Worked for me last week when I was sure I was getting it! Thanks for all heads up and links. Diego was a real hoot! Glad to see that Mason is headed back into rehab.....believe that is truly critical still. Home therapy is just not intense enough to accomplish the goals that further treatment approval requires.
Just finished talking to Susan. She was very happy to get home early, and happy that she had felt so confident about the exam that she had not spent the day studying, so she was doubly happy about being excused. It is a marketing class, and she has had lots of marketing experience on the job as it is.
Have been hoping to hear from Judie tonight. I am going to get ready for bed, then maybe check back in. Last night, she showed up as soon as I said good night.
Lynn, they told me to stop all vitamins and supplements 10 days prior to surgery, so I haven't actually been able to take anything since 10 days before it was scheduled last because the colonoscopy landed in the middle of the two. They won't let a little bronchitis stop them will they?
M&M's like in candy???? Sure can't hurt! I talked to Dana this AM, but it was before her apptmt. Judie said she would be late tonight---hope she made it through her day okay....
Yes like MEDICINAL candy.... I'm beginning to think that I am not supposed to have this surgery! I was hoping Dana would have checked in by now. I didn't like the sound of what her legs were like. I sure hope everything is OK. I'll probably be asleep by the time Judie checks in but I really, really hope she's feeling better tonight.
I'm here late but here... First Prayers continue for GG bless her heart.
Dr. said I've done a number on my cervical stenosis. May have to go to other dr. for shot. As far as legs he is sending me information; which I could probably find on computer. Said I have diabetic neuropathy (I don't think spelling is right)even though I've kept my sugar under control.
Dana, that sounds rough...I hope there is something they can do for your legs! Will that be a cortisone shot in your neck? (just had one in my sacroiliac and it worked wonders! I'm sorry your aren't feeling that great but prayers for you always!
Dana, gal, you spelled it perfectly right! Neuropathy doesn't make them red!! Is your skin just really dried out and irritated? COuld be cold weather causing that----try a good emollient lotion. Did he give you a script for gabapentin for the pain??
No gabapentin Hedgie I wanted to wait on that. Going to try to keep them up more for awhile since I was on them for days and hours at a time standing. Sometime the red and hot is from ankle to like sock high. Other times it is from thigh to knee red and hot. Strange...maybe I'm turning into a flamingo lol
Dana, I'm just fine...just a series of "inconveniences"....I have degenerative discs in my lower spine which causes instability, and the pain in the left side sacroiliac is just a byproduct of that. The cortisone injection has been like a little miracle to relieve the pain in that spot which in turn makes the rest of the back feel better. I just hope it lasts and lasts!! I'd have done it much sooner if I'd known how well it would work! My elbow has a compressed nerve causing numbness and muscle damage in my hand. blah blah blah...more inconvenience. Please get off your feet and I sure hope by doing that you'll be feeling better by morning! The M and M's are fun! Tried throwing some into Steve's mouth...missed!!
Hello all... I'm a little bit tired and a little bit heartsick, still don't know what's wrong with GG. Nurse told me that she may not be getting enough oxygen to her brain. Neurosurgeon's assistant is going to call me in the morning. I'm going to say good night now and hopefully have good news in the morning.
GOOD NIGHT DEAR FRIENDS SWEET DREAMS PRAYERS FOR ALL
Look on WANDA'S WISHES BLOG...GG opening some Christmas cards (yours is in there Margy:)
Oh Wanda I'm so sorry....more prayers for you and GG. I pray for good news in the morning, and that you are able to get some rest this evening. (((((((hugs))))))
Hope you get some restful sleep, Wanda. TRY not to worry. Have they done an ultrasound of GG's carotid arteries? Lack of O2 to brain can be from a blockage in them; it is also part of the hardening of the arteries (atherosclerosis) that is part of the aging process.
that's the one thing about having pets that is so frustrating (other than Joker eating my houseplants) is that you can't explain anything to them. There's just no way to let them know why we have to do the things we sometimes have to do.
LYNN, they did an ultrasound on the carotids, don't think they found a problem there. But, you are right about the Atherosclerosis, in that they did mention that as a possible problem. YOU ARE GOOD, LADY! Thank you all again for your prayers. Nite
You're probably gone, Wanda, but liked the pics, too! You're a very good daughter! Yeah, I'm good...LOL!!! 40 1/2 yrs. in the profession has SOME good points!
On that note, I shall retire again. Good night. God bless.
Tomorrow, it is back to the library with one group of juniors. Work on timelines with seniors, and tie some loose ends together with the other juniors. I have to think of more to do with them. Tying loose ends won't take that long. I had meant to have them work on their Of Mice and Men projects, but they wanted to take them home and finish them, so I will need to think of something else. Can't let them get out of hand the week before Christmas break!
Good night, Shirley! Stay in bed!! Heading for tub with bubbles and book. Will have to check out those books discussed this evening. Hope everyone stays cozy on this chilly night. Prayers and peace.
I'm still here, Shirley. Playing some solitaire & checking back on blog for Judie! I think she must have had a very long day! Hope she did not overdo it...
HURRY, WAKE UP, WAKE UP, I'M HERE AND -- OMG I JUST YAWNED AND AN M&M FLEW INTO MY MOUTH. TAG SAYS IT CAME BY WAY OF WV AND TX. REALLY WEIRD. Um, Um good!
Seems as if I've been in another world as I've missed so much.
Lolly, don't know what happened but hope whatever it is will get better for Laurel and her family.
Wanda, Frank's mom had some confusion, etc. and turned out it was due to UTI. As she got into old age she didn't take good care of hygiene issues. I think the tests are more routine than anything. Sonogram of carotids is what saved my life two years ago -- best to rule out everything critical.
Lynne, hope you stay healthy and the surgery is soon and successful. I can feel your pain!
Lynn, I can recommend a good Sheetz store if you need new ones and Jo has very good directions.
Well, I did have an exam today. Rather uneventful but I am very tired and the foot hurts a lot. Am told the swelling and pain are do to "profusion" of blood into the leg and foot after being without for so long. I'll see how it is tomorrow. So hate having to get around in a wheel chair.
Tomorrow should be fairly slow paced so will try to keep up with everyone's activities.
Turning my light out now but leaving the night light on for others. Andy, please turn the alarm on when you come in from school.
It's okay, Lolly. If I weren't on pain killers I'd love to have a sweet dram (or two). Good night for real, this time.
Forgot to tell Shirley that a student asked me when I would have the exam grades posted -- as she handed in her exam. I told her when I got damn good and ready. Share that with your seniors.
No, Jo, have never watched that program. No TV here tonight, only music. It has been great...music, fireplace, tree lights, hot chocolate......BUT no m&m's!
Wanda - hope they can figure out what's wrong with GG. And I agree with Judie, a UTI can make her confused! Happened with my Mom with all her infections.
Geesh, should have got here earlier, maybe Lynne could have hit me with a couple of M & M's ... I'm a little closer. Glad you got one Judie. Hope tomorrow is better!
Hi, Gang, I made it home from school OK. Had a test in my Formatting class tonight. Found out I'm getting an A in that class! Thank God, and thank all of you for all your prayers on my behalf! I turned in about half of this week's homework, and have a couple of Reports to finish by Thursday night. Saying LOTS of prayers tonight, for Lynne2, for Dana, for GG, and for Judie! Judie, LOVE what you told your student about when grades would be posted! You're starting to sound more like your old self! That's GREAT! The pain in your foot sounds like what happened to me once when I was younger and we went to the Tournament of Roses parade. We rented metal folding chairs from a guy that looked like the Godfather, and had a great view of the parade, but it was below freezing, and by the end of the parade, my hands were nearly frostbitten! I went into the restroom at the restaurant we stopped at, and ran some lukewarm water over my hands. It felt like boiling water! Hands turned bright red, and hurt like all get out! Someone loaned me some mittens, and they eventually thawed out--but never forgot how awful that felt! Hope your foot recovers quickly! (((HUGS))) for you! Lynne2, prayers that you'll shake the cold that's trying to get you down! M&Ms ARE good for you! Peanuts are good, and chocolate is good--what's the problem, I say! God bless you! (((HUGS)))
Wanda, I LOVE the picture of you and GG! It's priceless~! Know for sure that a UTI can make you plenty miserable! Hope that's all that GG has wrong with her. Praying for a speedy cure! Prayers for you, too, 'cause I know how it is to worry about your mom! (((HUGS)))! Dana, hope your legs are feeling lots better after a good night's sleep! Make sure your socks aren't too tight, and keep your feet elevated--that always helps me when I've been standing around too long. (((HUGS))) for you, too! Well, I think I'm going to go watch a bit of TV and unwind. Have TONS of stuff to do tomorrow, so must get some rest. God bless all of you guys! Love you all! The night light's on, the porch light is automatic, and the eye scanner's working. Sleep tight, and will talk to you in the morning. Good night, and God bless! :o]

Whoops! Mine are felines - catnip does the trick!
Catch you later.
Speaking of felines. Susan has a cat that licks the Christmas tree. Has been doing this for years.
Wow, that's a nice surprise, Shirley, Bet she was tickled.
My dog Boo eats the candy canes off the tree. Needless to say, no more candy canes on my tree!
I also have some Santa tins and Santa coke bottles on a high shelf that stay up all year.

I'm taking some M and M's right now in the hopes that will help ;)
has anyone heard from Dana or Judie?
My seasonal tins are mixed in with all the others, and stay on top of ovens, fridge, cabinets and beam year round!
M&M's like in candy???? Sure can't hurt!
I talked to Dana this AM, but it was before her apptmt.
Judie said she would be late tonight---hope she made it through her day okay....
Yes like MEDICINAL candy....

Dana was on for awhile this morning. I think she was headed to a doctor's appointment.
I am going to sign off until tomorrow. Need rest.
I'm here late but here...

Lynn2 you are so nice ty but I am more worried about you. What are they doing to our poor lady? Are you in much pain?
Dana, gal, you spelled it perfectly right! Neuropathy doesn't make them red!! Is your skin just really dried out and irritated? COuld be cold weather causing that----try a good emollient lotion. Did he give you a script for gabapentin for the pain??
Sleep tight, Shirley!!!
I finished my 2 TV shows.. I really like the characters and plots of NCIS LA.
Good to hear from you Dana
Waiting to hear from Wanda & Judie
Lynne keep on the M&M's - Sure cure!
Question is, Dana, do you sometimes have an urge to stand around on one leg?
Oh, and hello! lol Glad you checked in, we were wondering about you.
Good one Lolly!! I happen to love flamingos....starting to get quite the collection!
Lynn, how is Cinnie doing???
Hello all...
I'm a little bit tired and a little bit heartsick, still don't know what's wrong with GG. Nurse told me that she may not be getting enough oxygen to her brain. Neurosurgeon's assistant is going to call me in the morning.
I'm going to say good night now and hopefully have good news in the morning.
GOOD NIGHT DEAR FRIENDS
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL
Look on WANDA'S WISHES BLOG...GG opening some Christmas cards (yours is in there Margy:)
It is SNOWING here......hope it's just some of those lake effect flurries out of PA!!
Throw and M & M my way!! I think M& M's are really good for you!
Well, I am going to bed. Love you all and see you tomorrow.
Wonderful pictures of GG. I especially like the one of you, Wanda, with GG.
Get some good sleep. (((hugs)))
Night Sharon loL
Night Wanda ((hugs to both)))
OPEN WIDE LOLLY HERE COMES YOUR M&M!!!
oh no, trajectory all wrong, ended up in MY mouth!
OH! I got the book Coyote Daily from the library yesterday. Can't wait to start it!
SNOW??
Night-night, Sharon!!! Hope the dogs have left room for you!
Cinnie is doing well....a little stubborn about letting me put ointment in the eye and on her chest....but I'm sneaky!!!
Nighty nite Sharon!
Had to put a sheet on the sofa to prevent greasy ointment smears!! Looks like H---!
ROFLMBO Boy, your aim is really bad!! Need glasses?
Hope you like the book. It was a little slow getting into it, but then you get wrapped up in it. I want to know more!
The picture of Wanda and GG is beautiful.
that's the one thing about having pets that is so frustrating (other than Joker eating my houseplants) is that you can't explain anything to them. There's just no way to let them know why we have to do the things we sometimes have to do.
Has anyone read Wesley the Owl?
Nope! Not me.
LYNN, they did an ultrasound on the carotids, don't think they found a problem there. But, you are right about the Atherosclerosis, in that they did mention that as a possible problem. YOU ARE GOOD, LADY!
Thank you all again for your prayers.
Nite
I agree totally Jo, the two of them are BEAUTIFUL!
Lolly, my pitching arm wasn't warmed up properly so let me try again.....
OH NO...these M&M's are like little colorful round boomerangs!!!! sorry!
Good book about a biologist who had the opportunity to raise an owl. Really good book for sure!
well good friend, I'm off to bed and will say prayers for all. I hope the morning brings good news for everyone!!
Might have to read that book!
So, I sit here with my mouth wide open.....and empty. What a pity. Think I am going to go make me a cup of hot chocolate. Yum.
Nite Lynne! Be sure to brush your teeth after all those m&m's. lol
I'm Getting there!!!
One more box of ornaments to go!
Hope you have Christmas music playing, Paula. We have some beautiful Christmas music playing.
yes I'll brush and floss! I think you'll like the book if you get a chance to read it.
Good work Paula! Take some pictures!
Night!
You're probably gone, Wanda, but liked the pics, too! You're a very good daughter! Yeah, I'm good...LOL!!! 40 1/2 yrs. in the profession has SOME good points!
Good Night Lynne
I am not far behind....
Just hoping for a word from Judie.....
NCIS and The Good Wife both were good. Jo, did you forget about Wife???
I'm eating a piece of peppermint bark---yum!
Good night, Lynne. Hope you feel MUCH better in the morning!
For those hitting the hay night God Bless hope you have a good nights sleep. Prayers For GG, Wanda and family.
Paula when I put up Christmas decorations, I love to play christmas music.
Lolly no can't stand on one leg I must be a deformed flamingo tee hee
Well eyes are tired and must get a paper in the mail early AM. Sure hope no snow for tomorrow.
Throwing M & M's into Steve's mouth just might make him buy you more Lynee2.
Night all
Prayers for those that need them and even for those that don't they they do.
At night it is after prayers good night God and Ed. In AM it is Good Morning God and Ed.
Rest well my Eagle Friends hugs to such a special group you are to me.
Got back up and paid some bills. Mind could not rest until I had taken care of it.
Dana, it is just as well you aren't standing on one leg the way a flamingo does. They bend their legs backwards. You would look really strange.
Good night, Dana! Hope you get a peaceful sleep---elevate those legs higher than your heart! See you about 11:45AM!!!
Take care, Dana. Good night, Lynn.
Those bouncing snowmen are making me tired.
Hi Jo, if you are still here. I am looking for Judie, too.
Love to all
Hubby watched the Good Wife - Sometimes I can't sit still for 3 in a row.. He said it was good... I thought Lolly always watched it.
Balt. News - Weatherman Norm Lewis said he is retiring on the 22nd of this month. He has been on there for many a year!
WOW while I have publishing a comment that Judie sneaked right in here!
I am going to read her comments and then hit the sack.
I am still here, too. Have been watching the news and playing solitaire as well and peeking in on the blog.
Good night to those who are turning in. Sweet dreams, not drams!
Whoa, Judie did sneak in and ate m&m's that were meant for me!!!!!
Good to hear from you Judie. We have been thinking of you all day.
Well I feel that everything is now complete and I can go to bed and rest peacefully.
I am saying prayers for ALL of you!
Good Night
Peace to you and yours
(((hugs))) ♥ ♥ ♥
Paula - Watching Mr Snowman is making me out of breath. It's a wonder his carrot nose hasn't fallen off. lol
No, Jo, have never watched that program. No TV here tonight, only music. It has been great...music, fireplace, tree lights, hot chocolate......BUT no m&m's!
I'm Back : Judie your advice for Shirley is the best! I hope she gives it a try
LOL Thanks Judie, for my late night chuckle!!!! I can just see Shirley saying that to her students. Do not think it would go over too well.
Jack is now reading The Daily Coyote. He is an avid reader and he just told me it is good and he is enjoying it. Yea!
Finally got back in, blog was all hung up.
And yes, played and played the Christmas music.
Jumping bean snowman will be gone tomorrow!
Tree and decorations are done and so am I.
Nite and Hugs to all ♥
Next, it's Christmas cards and wrapping presents!
See ya'll tomorrow!
Split is coming!
Guess it is my turn to say Good Night!
Wishing all a peaceful night, with m&m's dancing in your heads....not sugar plums!
Hi, Gang,
I made it home from school OK.
(((HUGS)))
Wanda,
I LOVE the picture of you and GG!
Judie,
ROFLMBO! Must run! BBL.
Good Morning
SPLIT
Great pictures of Wanda and GG
Can't wait to see Paula's avatar!
Good to hear from Judie and all others that I just read from
Good Night, gotta catch some z's
