Deer drained my birdfeeders again so I had to go fill them back up. I just put a little in them, less for them to steal at night. A deer could probably eat a whole bag in 1 sitting.

Morning all....
Judie, sorry all the turkey vulture stuff ruined your appetite but I hope you are feeling OK. Please see Dr sooner!

Lynn I sure hope the nastiness holds off for you, you've worked so hard!

I may not be here much today. It looks like a very sad day in store...my beloved collie Raven who has not been doing too well seems to, about a half hour ago, taken a turn for the worse in that she is unable to walk. And I am waiting for my friend Tracey (she's a vet tech) to come and help me. I am unable to lift her because of my back. She is here with me on the floor, resting comfortably and just had a cookie. We'll take her to the vet and I am afraid this might be the day I have been dreading. My heart is breaking....I hate to be such a downer so early in the day for you all, but I hope you understand.

There was a chickadee in the tree fussing at me to hurry and get the food out. I had a red-winged blackbird, red-bellied woodpecker, junco, white-throated sparrow, downy woodpecker, titmouse, blue jays, mourning doves and a crow just flew by. Busy place this morning. I don't see the TV yet though.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Oh Lynne, my heart is so sad for you. I have 2 dogs that are getting older and I have that fear a lot! Prayers are with you friend!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Oh, and i forgot to mention my ever-present nuthatches. I got birds comin' in from Jersey out here now. :)

Lynne, I have been where you are as well! God Bless your little heart. Someone told that is the most selfless thing we can do for our babies, when they no longer have a good quality of life! It is so hard, pray for guidance and follow your heart!!

Good morning, eagle pals.
Busy here, getting ready to head out for partee' in a little bit.
Lynne, feeling your sorrow. Have been through it too many times. The blessing is that we CAN ease their suffering humanely (unlike humans). I will be praying for you and for Raven.
Judie, sorry you didn't sleep. I, too, wish you could get in to see the surgeon sooner.
Sorry about your dental situation, Norma. Know you hate it as much as I do.

Good morning all!

Thanks for the happy birthday greetings. I was worried that you would think I was requesting all of these greetings when I mentioned two days ago that my birthday was today. Yep. Guilty. I need all of your good wishes as I turn over another year. Bless you.

My chatty block 1 kids are supposed to be reading right now. At 8:00 I will stop them to see a movie on the 1920s. They are reading The Great Gatsby. A couple of the girls said that their mothers told them that it's the most boring book they ever read. Not helpful! I really hope their mothers did not say that.

Have to go back and read more of the stuff about Tiger. Tiger and Wanda???? Oh my!!!!

Good Morning everyone.....feels like a month of Sundays on this blog, but, it is Tuesday, December 8th.......Happy Birthday Shirley.

Judie said...

Good morning.

Here at the office awaiting the whiners who seek a last minute grade pardon.

Lynne2 - I am so sorry about Raven. I hope she improves -- a Raven prayer for you.

WANDA! How dare you! I wanted to keep my Tiger business private but may have to go public. Hush money would work, though.

Missed the nest visit, of course.

Mits said...

sorry to hear about Raven's condition, Lynne...:(

NEW THREAD IS UP.

Judie said...

Norma, hope the mouth/teeth are feeling better this morning because that would mean you are feeling better.

If you are in an area where ice/freezing rain is called for, make sure you are prepared for possible power-outages! For those of us on well-water, that means drawing extra drinking water, for me brewing plenty of tea, and filling tub for flushing purposes!! Get out flashlights, candles, lanterns!!
Stay safe if going out.
I will talk to you all later this afternoon. Bye!

Well, the video did not work. Message--"Sorry, Firefox has crashed." Frustrating. Worked fine when I was previewing, but not when I tried to set it up for the class. It is a program we are supposed to pick up online so we can show videos to the students.

Judie, I hope you do not have any whiners.

I see that Tiger's wife has moved out.

I remember the days of filling the tub for flushing water back when we lived in Ohio and had well water.
