GMA on ABC was smart----they cancelled that jerk Adam Lambert's scheduled appearance. CBS stupidly put him on---what a way to ruin a morning. And he'll be on Letterman tonigt-------yuck.
Hi Paula. Margy.....isn't it gray and gloomy in town????? Shirley, Lamberts' behavior was okay today, but after what they said happened on the AMA broadcast, I don't think he should be allowed on the air for any reason---JMHO.
Just did not want to take a chance on having to explain something to Hunter that he is not ready to understand. Have no problems with Lambet's preferences, but like to see decent behavior in public.
Hunter wants to talk me into paying for those online games. He will have to settle for the freebies. Love him, but that could bet expensive in a hurry.

Blogger cop has been on a double-post jag lately!! Dressing is done and in fridge. Turkey breast for my leftovers is in the oven. Guess it's time for some lunch! Good smells making me really hungry!
Good Afternoon (except for other time zones !) now my Eagle ♀'s and ♂'s.
I has turned grey and dreary here - but ONLY ON THE OUTSIDE...
Inside (my heart) - holding on to warm and cozy thoughts.
Shirley - I think we need to get your grandson and mine together, I think they have a lot of the same interests! ☺ ☺
Well, it is nap time here before going into the work tunnel tonight, so into the warm and cozy Bed...Everyone, Best Wishes for a Great Day ! ♥ catch you before I leave tonight ☺
Soooo, the blogger curse continues!(♫♫Mysterious music plays once more♫♫)
Just popping on to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! We have so much to be thankful for...especially our families.
Smelling good around here. Turkey giblets are cooking and the apple pie just came out of the oven. Have prepared the refrigerator roll dough. Next comes the pumpkin pie and dressing and then I am through for the day. Expect Laurel and the boys in an hour.
Having a sad morning. Learned that my last Aunt, one hundred years old in Sept.) passed into Heaven to the presence of her Lord this morning. She was ready, it is a blessing, but sad. A new era begins, she was the last of our parents generation. She was cheerful and coherent yesterday and was expecting to go at any time. Actually, she thought it was going to be Tuesday night, she was off one night. Bless her.
I might be getting on again, but more than likely I may not be on for the next several days. So, I will say...see you Sunday night!
The numbers sure are mixed up. I have three different sets. Just got beautiful flower arrangement from my son and Jennifer. I usually get some flowers for the house but could not find any nice ones like I usually do.
Lolly sorry to hear about your aunt. Had to go to a viewing yesterday a friend's son passed away. He was 73 but she is 98. She is almost blind and her son helped her so much. We call her Aunt Loretta. She was a great cook but because of her eye site she doesn't cook anymore.
Sorry for your losses, Lolly and Ceil. It's always a bit of a shock when it happens, but if your aunt was ready to go, and had lived a long, full life, Lolly, then it is something else to be thankful for. And, Ceil, hope your friend has other family members who will help care for her. Sorry you won't with us for the weekend, Lolly. Enjoy your family time, and hope that the services give everyone hope and peace. Your Jimmy is very thoughtful, Ceil! Take a pic of the flowers!
Pies almost finished baking. Kitchen cleaned up and dishwasher going. I'm done!! Whew! Need to please ask for prayers for Chelsea, a 20 y.o. lung cancer patient who is in very serious condition.....makes you wonder doesn't it? It sure shouldn't afflict youngsters.
Doncha know -- I've just finished making the "do aheads" for tomorrow and have to mention more food. Bacon pasta is my new true love. I make about half the recipe for two.
Shirley, hope the day went well and you enjoyed the time with Hunter.
Lolly, have a cookbook sent by a friend in Houston called Any Bitch Can Cook. Has a recipe for Texas Trash. Yum!
I guess deer are becoming so tame and desperate for food. Haven't seen last week's visitor but wouldn't surprise me. Have seen does walking down the sidewalk in front of the house for the past two or three weeks.
Andy, so glad you got your homework turned in. You really are a firecracker. I have homework of my own -- much online grading of assignments and police exams to finish.
Oh, good news for me. My basketball player students got me a ticket for the game this Sat. against Oregon State. Mrs. Obama's brother is the head coach and rumor has it that the Pres. & Mrs. may attend. Don't much care about that except that it really is inconvenient because of all the security stuff.
Oh, finally had time to look at Diego's 13th exam and see his teeth and watch him crawling. He'll be outside soon.
Okay, going to rest a few minutes. Think Frank might get Chinese tonight. I'm tired of cooking, cleaning up, cooking, cleaning up all day.
Hi, Everyone! Hope you're all having a good Thanksgiving Eve! Lolly and Ceil, was sorry to read about your losses. Prayers for you, and for the families. Was just thinking--can you imagine the Thanksgiving celebration in Heaven? Must really be something. Just wrestled the flannel sheets onto the bed, so it's officially fall around here. Doing the do-ahead stuff now. Smells good! Wish we had smellavision on the blog! Gotta do some more stuff, so gotta run. Love you all, and hope you have a good evening! BBL.. :o]
Skies are clear enough here to see the nearly half Moon...just clear enough to tease us into thinking, maybe we will see ISS tonight, very bright here tonight in Berkeley Co around 6:18 - - I hope I hope I hope.... Wouldn't mind seeing an EAGLE or two at OUR nest though...
As soon as I walked into the Kitchen to do something very quickly.... You were privileged to see our Regal Couple. I was expecting them - Night Light Is On!
6000 camels have invaded an area of Australia in search of water....damaging water pipes and air conditioners!! Jim, hadn't heard about the earthquake near Pete's Pond!!
I can speak intelligently about the ISS because I have Will who explains things very nicely. I told him that he would fit right in with our group. He said that he thinks he probably would. He would like bacon pasta, too. I haven't tried the recipe, yet, but I do have it saved.
Thanks for posting the recipe; I think it was Mits.
We have a gabby group! Until I read through, I've forgotten whom I want to thank & bless. Still haven't gotten a cheat sheet. I've become a great procastinator.
Didn't get to bake but Jim picked up an apple and cherry pie at the store. My mother is probably turning in her grave. Miss you Mother!!!!
Happy Thanksgiving Eve to everyone and God bless!! ... later
I am cheating for the big get-together. I picked up some prepared things. It was suggested that I bring macaroni and cheese, but I did not know it was really, really important, so I had chosen some other things. Tom’s brother wants Stoffer’s frozen mac and cheese, so Kathryn had Tom pick up some with their things. When I make my dressing with sausages, mushrooms, and all that stuff, Tom’s father prefers Stove Top. I am saving my cooking skills for Sunday when my children and I get together. They like my dressing and don’t require frozen mac and cheese. Everybody has their own traditions, and that is fine.
Hi, Gang, Well, the yams and the cranberry sauce are ready to go for tomorrow. Next project is to dice up everything for the turkey stuffing so it's ready to assemble in the morning. Then I'll be done! Had to change the batteries in both smoke alarms--they BOTH started to "chirp" at me today! Guess that's not too unusual; we always change the batteries in both at the same time. Forgot that we were supposed to replace them when the time changed. No worries! They "chirp" and remind you when the battery's low. Hmmm...they ought to design a feature like that into Hubby's pacemaker! LOL :oD Can you imagine how many people would walk around "chirping" for a couple days until they got a replacement?!
Hubby's gone to get his hair cut for tomorrow. Think he's bringing home fast food of some sort for din din. That's fine with me! Gotta go wash 2 pots, and I'm getting tired of cleaning up after myself.
Shirley, I sympathize with you about the bathtub! The tile above our tub/shower combination looks pretty awful, and have been scrubbing and scrubbing it! The grout is navy blue, and it's NOT sealed--there's the problem. The installer (in 1988) said we could only use white vinegar in a spray bottle to clean it. Well, our water here is VERY hard (as in, rocks coming out of the tap), and over the years we've developed hard water scum. I'm about ready to dynamite and start over! Cannot use anything with bleach, or the grout color will be ruined. Woof!!
Just want to get this room decent enough that guests won't go into shock. When Will and Susan shared it, she cleaned it. Now she uses mine when she visits because she does not want to go in there.

Hello my fine and wonderful friends!!
Thinking about Deb's family for this Thanksgiving. Gonna be a tough one on them for sure!
Just did not want to take a chance on having to explain something to Hunter that he is not ready to understand. Have no problems with Lambet's preferences, but like to see decent behavior in public.
Will be hard on Deb's family, that is for sure.
The bird is in the oven!! He died for a noble cause, to be sure!!
You are starting early, Sissy!

GOOD MORNING, ALL !!

Hi Jim!
Love your avatar, Margy.
I had 2 cornbread muffins just now for brunchie breakfast.. I love cornbread!
Still very grey looking outside today.
Yes, Sissy, sure that it will be a difficult holiday for them....:(
Margie, that is typical Hunter behavior you are seeing there! He is all boy.
Bet your house is smelling good by now, Sissy!
I certainly am receiving a lot of beautiful Thanksgiving e-cards.
I need to get ready to go out for about 2 hours.

Morning all.
Jim was watching tv and called me to see Cloud.
Shirley Hunter is a great little boy.
I was thinking of Deb's family this morning.

I think so, too, Ceil. He is keeping me good company today. Has been enjoying watching the birds. Also likes to play games on my little computer.
But thanks for saying it! :)
Hunter wants to talk me into paying for those online games. He will have to settle for the freebies. Love him, but that could bet expensive in a hurry.

Paula I wish.
Decorah cam is back on!
Eagle in the nest is finishing up a rabbit.
You can see horses running around on the ground at Decorah

Decorah eagle gone
Eagle is back at Decorah
Don't know if anyone uses this link for Decorah
Decorah Link
Eagle is still glued to the right side of the BWO nest
I swear it looks like Decorah eagle is eating a baby snake!
Make that trying to eat a baby snake....too big for a gulp or two, and having trouble holding in talons and ripping it apart
either ate it or gave up!
Couple more bites of rabbit...then flew off to the left.
2 eagles at BWO now

Just checked on Diego and it looks like he is in the sun room with mom. Maybe she's preparing him for his not-too-distant debut.
So sorry Lolly and Ceil. Will send a prayer for young Chelsea.
Ceil, Lolly...my prayers are with you and the families...
Lynn, and for your friend Chelsea, praying for miracles
Sorry to hear of your losses, Lolly and Ceil. Just stopping by to check for a moment.
Hunter and I went shopping after the PT visit. I haven't been keeping up with my exercises too well. Maybe too much to do?
Trying to scrub Will's bathtub. Bought one of those battery-powered scrubber things. Feel like buying a new tub. Golly it is a mess.
Judie, I hope you do not have to spend too much time grading papers.
Will be back later.

Going to Thanksgiving Mass tonight. We have it on the Eve BBL
Will, Hunter, and I went out to see the flyover. Fantastic! It is nice to have Will. He knows just where to look.
Would love to get our grandsons together, Margy. I am sure they would enjoy each other.
Margy called and said to post that she saw ISS the brightest she ever has......and thinks that the shuttle MAY have been close behind it.
Yep, Lynn, we saw them both, one right behind the other. Really bright until they went into the shadow of the earth just past 90 degrees.
Looks like Spidey is decorating with green/red bulbs in the nest.......
I see the red and green, Jo.
Nice touch, near the top.
Prayers for Chelsea being said.
Lolly and Ceil sorry for the loses you are experiencing. It's never easy to say good bye and console the ones left behind.
Prayers for Chelsea, Lynn. I had missed your post earlier.

Evening, all!
Got the pumpkin pie in the oven...had to make one to use up the pumpkin...then will work on the cheesecake, and the rolls some more....
Can't wait till tomorrow, I love Thanksgiving dinner!
